The museum was amazing! I enjoyed almost every minute. There were a lot of school kids roaming and running around doing their homework, stopping and pushing to look at all of the exhibitions, that it was hard to enjoy everything. At one point the room got so crowded, that people were looking around to see if there was a security guard anywhere to control the kids. I didn't even finish the particular section, I just left to the next room. I understand kids need to do their homework, but that many kids laughing, yelling, pushing, going in between people, and stopping to do their work, while people who had been waiting in line for a while had to move to the side. That was absolutely frustrating. Other than that, there were plenty of things to learn, see, buy, and appreciate about the Hiroshima tragedy. I like that there were security guards all around, although some can be in the main rooms to direct some of the traffic and possibly control the school kids. Overall, I would love to bring the rest of my family to this museum.

I almost didn’t make it to this museum, but I am happy I eventually managed to visit it before leaving Hiroshima. I will say, this was a very powerful experience that is hard to describe using mere words. It is definitely something everyone should make time for when in Hiroshima, in my opinion. The museum has a large collection of photos, drawings, personal belongings retrieved from the destroyed buildings or donated by survivors or their families, testimonies from the affected families about their loved ones - it is quite difficult to even look at some of these. The scale and horror of the disaster is unthinkable. There is also a section about the history surrounding the event, and one about the future of humanity in connection with nuclear weapons. I spent around 1h30 there, but I would say 2 hours would be better to have time to leisurely visit the entire museum. There’s also a small shop selling books and souvenirs, and a few temporary exhibitions. The entrance fee is ¥200 for adults.

What could I say that has not been already said by any person that visited this impressive place and museum ?! Perhaps could I mention that I just could not stop my tears from falling during the 3 hours I spent visiting this superb museum, a museum that was built and though so that humanity never forgets. An english friend of mine told me that it's a kind of duty to get there. I agree. In these times when destruction awaits us, where the atomic threat resurfaces, realizing what it really means to send nukes on other humans seems to me a good thing, especially for the younger generations who did not even know the Cold War . The surrounding park, the memorials and the remainings from the bombing are places worth taking the time to visit. They are in addition very well included in the modern architecture of this wonderful town of Hiroshima. Half a day is necessary to visit all places.

This is a nice museum and we didn’t have to wait long until we went to the 2nd Floor where it showed where the A bomb was dropped and the devastation that came after. For the admission fee it costs 200 yen per person and 400 yen for the headset should you wish to hear the language commentary of your choice. It does have many graphic pictures as well as items donated by the victims families which left me humbled and sadden. The ground level has souvenirs and around the corner outside the museum is a little visitors seating area. Overall, a nice place to reflect and to remember those who passed away. Pro tip: There are 3 tour buses (Lemon, orange and green) you can use your JR pass for free just outside Hiroshima station and they stop at all the site locations.

The museum shows how was Hiroshima before and after the morning of August 6th of 1945. It’s a very well preserved museum with graphic images and vastly details of the aftermath of such horrendous event. I’m sure you will be deeply impacted with what you will see here, it will make you think and balance with what is important in your life. Besides the sadness of the story and of the place it’s a lifetime experience that you definitely should try. The admission is not expensive and can be easily access using public e transportation. I was surprised with so many schools groups attending the museum daily, even weekends.

I visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park today and I was deeply moved by the experience. The park is a very solemn place, where you can reflect on the horrors of war and the resilience of the human spirit. The most striking sight is the Atomic Bomb Dome, the only building that survived the blast on 6 August 1945. It is very surreal to see it up close, as it stands as a silent witness to the devastation and suffering that occurred here. I felt a mix of sadness, anger, and hope as I walked around the park and learned more about the history and the message of peace that it conveys.

Overall a very good experience highly recommended. The audio tour is pretty much a audio version of what is written on the plaques on the main tour exhibition. So if there is not that many people I think you can skip the audio tour. But if you are there on a weekend and it is busy I actually recommend the audio tour. You can just stand slightly back and you still get all the information. Overall if you read everything on the main tour it can easily take between 1 or 2 hours. Definitely drink something before you enter. Inside the main exhibition it is also pretty dark.

Significant and meaningful museum, very strong message that needs to be delivered. The entrance was only 200 yen and the audio guide in many languages (including Portuguese) for only 400 yen. The only drawback is that it gets very crowded, it was very hard to focus and explore all the texts since it was impossible to get near all the exhibitions, especially the victims exhibition. Also there were lot of school kids so it can get unbearable to enjoy the experience... Minding that I came in a Weekday, Tuesday in November, can't even imagine how full it would be at Weekends...

美しい平和記念公園内にある「広島平和記念資料館」。国の重要文化財で、2019年4月にリニューアルされました。再現CGの導入等により、被爆の実相を分かりやすく伝える内容になっています。人々の日常、未来を一瞬で奪った原子爆弾。破れた衣類、炭化した弁当、日記や手紙等といった被爆者の遺品の数々。それらに添えられたメッセージから、被爆者の苦しみや遺族の悲しみが伝わってきます。他にも原爆の残酷さを伝える写真や絵画が数多く展示されています。被爆者の声を直接聴くことができなくなりつつある今、被爆者の体験や思いを後世に伝える意味で、資料館の展示品はとても貴重です。観覧は「戦争を起こしてはならない」「核兵器を使用してはならない」というメッセージを心に刻みつつ、命の尊さを見つめ直す機会となります。 入館料は大人200円。所要時間は2時間程です。音声ガイドの貸出があります。資料館には外国人や修学旅行の学生が多く訪れ、長蛇の列ができます。開館直後が比較的空いています。資料館の周辺には、原爆ドーム、原爆の子像、原爆死没者記念碑、元安橋等の見どころも多いです。 世界中の人々が訪れて欲しい資料館です。

以前から日本人として行くべき、行かなくてはいけないと半ば使命感のような気持ちがずっと心の底にありました。 やっと行くことが出来て、原爆ドーム、平和記念公園と平和記念資料館を観てきました。原爆ドームはもちろんですが、資料館はとても衝撃的でした。 展示されている写真や被爆した衣服、様々なものが思わず目を背けたくなるような、悲惨な状況を物語るものばかりでした。しかし、我々はこの展示を直視しなくてはいけないと思います。見ていて思わず涙が出てきますし、胸が苦しくなる思いでした。 私個人としては世界中の人に是非見て欲しいと思いますが、それ以前に日本人には、より多くの人に見てほしいと思います。 戦争の悲惨さ、核の恐ろしさを再認識して、戦争を起こさない、核兵器を持たないという考え方を強く発信していく必要性を感じました。 我々は開館間もなくして入りましたが、中には外国人観光客も沢山来ていました。 我々が退館した頃は入口前に数百メートルにわたって長蛇の列が出来ていて、関心の高さを感じました。 素晴らしいことだと思います。 皆さんにも機会を見つけて、是非行って欲しいと思います。

It’s one of those museums that will ‘get’ to you! Quite thought-provoking, and well-built storytelling (provides significant historical context on the before,during and after of the A-bomb). That lets you soak in the experience as much as possible and deeply understand. Dedicate a couple of hours to the museum, definitely - it’s really worth it! A disclaimer: there are some strong and graphic images, so keep that in mind, especially if bringing younger children alongside you.

Without a doubt THE must see and visit place in Hiroshima. This beautiful museum shows what happened on August 6 1945 in detail and it shows the aftermath of the atom bomb drop over Hiroshima. It tells the story of the people who died and survived the bombing and what happened to Hiroshima after 1945. Best tip: try to go early in the morning at opening time to avoid the big crowds and then stroll through the park after the museum visit.

昔、小学生の頃訪れたことがありましたが、あまり記憶になくもう一度行きたい場所でした。 平日でしたが30分程並びました。 これでも少ない方だと係の方が言ってました。 8割方外国人です。日本の方は少な目ですね。 前売りチケットを買っても並ぶ所は１つなので待つのは同じかもと。 撮影はしてもいいみたいですが、 白黒写真とはいえ、かなり衝撃を受けるものもあり、直視できないものもたくさんありますのでこころして訪れてください。外国人の方が鼻を啜り涙を拭かれている姿をお見かけしました。 私は資料館の中で写真は1枚も撮っていません、て言うか撮れないと思います‥ 私は最近、少し気を感じることが多くなり、資料館に入って鳥肌と寒さに襲われ、涙が止まらなくなりとても息が苦しくなりました‥ 霊感のある方や気を感じやすい人は要注意です。 今、戦争をしているお国の方々に見て頂きたいです！ ここで沢山の尊い命が奪われた事実があると言うことを決して忘れないでおこうと思います。

5 star ⭐ attraction which is: Gut wrenching: yes Enjoyable: no Educational: yes Thought provoking: yes Photography allowed inside (I think) but not many visitors took photos. One of those times when you're too absorbed in the moment to want to hold up your smartphone and start snapping away. A continuous stream of people moving quietly in the dark made it hard to view all the exhibits in detail, but as good as it gets.

Amazing. Beautiful structure and museum. Lovely area to visit overall. Hard to view the memorabilia, witness accounts and to read about the events of that day and thereafter. I did cry a little and had to step outside eventually. Although hard to see, it's a must if you are in the area. We cannot ignore the devastating effects of war and an atomic bomb. I pray this will NEVER happen again!

3度目の広島訪問でやっと行けました。 朝8:00にはホテルを出て資料館に着いたのは8:40 。遠くからでも30人くらいの行列が見えました。しかし、行列は建物内にもチケットを購入の為に40人ほど並んでいました。行列時　遮るものが無いのでこの日は暖かいという予報でしたがとても寒く、マフラーを持ってくれば良かったと後悔しました。 そんななか、修学旅行生の団体はドンドン中に入って行けるので羨ましく見ておりました。 お勧めとしては、8:00には並ぶ。 資料館の中での展示物を読んで見て回るのに、最低1時間は必要と思います。そして見終わった後に被爆者体験講話を聞くのもおすすめします。 ここを見終わった後に呉の大和ミュージアムに行く予定でしたが、中に入るまでに 想像以上に時間を取られたので、帰りの 新幹線の時間に間に合わないと言うのもあって行けずじまいなのが残念。

Super moving and emotional moment. Probably the best museum I had to visit. It’s a carefully curated museum displaying a very difficult moment in human history. Learnt a lot more than I expected to. It was busy when we visited which I suspect is often the case. Although the queue was very long we were kept moving along and were inside quicker than you might expect. Definitely worth the visit.

This is an absolute must-see when you are in Hiroshima. Be prepared for a moving and emotional experience. It's one of the best museums I've visited in my life. The only downside is that it was rather crowded. If you have an option, choose a weekday for a visit instead. I was in Hiroshima for a full weekend only and I couldn't miss it. Highly recommended

Visited as part of the tour organised by HIS. Tomu-san breeze us through the entrance. We’ve about an hour to tour the museum on our own. Not for the faint hearted. This is about war. War never changes. Everyone is a victim. Doesn’t matter military or civilian. Bombs have no eyes. May the terror of warfare encourage peace.

A surreal experience and worth visiting to really grasp just what happened that day. As an American I'm glad I was able to get another POV, because there was a lot to see that wasn't mentioned in history class. We arrived about an hour and a half to close, and there was no line to get in as the tour groups were leaving.

Amazing museum and memorial for the many lives that were lost. The audio tour is worth the extra $. Also, when you think you’re at the end of the tour when you get to the long hallway full of windows where you can see Peace Park, keep going. It’s not over. A lot more to see after this spot.

2023.1月に訪れました。 中学のときの修学旅行振りです。 私は車いすユーザーですが，エレベーターや身障者用トイレ完備ですので車いすユーザー独りででも行けます。身障者用駐車場を2時間利用させてもらえますので、国際会議場側に守衛ボックスに身障者手帳を提示すると駐車許可証みたいなものをいただけます。 開館前に着いてしまいましたが，既に人がチラホラ。 2時間で全ての場所をまわるのは厳しいと思います。 私もですが，戦争を経験していない方々は一度は訪れるべきだと思います。2度とこのような過去を過ちを，絶対に繰り返してはいけないと改めて思わされました…。 社会に，政治にもっと関心を抱いて平和を守っていくことが生かされている私たちが戦没者の方々に対して出来ることのひとつだと個人的に感じました。

2023年9月の3連休の最終日に来館。 小学生の子供たちとみるために来ました。 10年位前にも来ましたが、中の展示が結構変わってました。 30分くらい並んで、入れました。 海外の方も非常に多かったです。 世界中の方に見てもらいたい場所です。 中は、特に列にならず自分のペースで見れ利用ですが、それを知らず結構並んでいたら、警備員さんに追い越しても構わないと言われそこから自分のペースで見るようにしました。 もう少しこのことをアナウンスしてもいいと思います。（日本人にも海外の方にも分かるように）

いつかはと思いやっと来ることができました。 色々な展示物、石碑など見ているうちに自然と涙が出て来ました。 何もできませんが同じ過ちを犯さない事を誓い手を合わさせて頂きました。 戦時中、全ての国々が色々な事をしたと思いますが、原子力爆弾を使ったことは本当にどんな理由、どんな訳があったとしても比人道的行為のなにものでもありません。 爆弾を落とされた国、落とした国、間違った教育を受け日本国を批判している国、全世界の人々にこの地に来て拝見して頂きたいと思いました。 長々と書きすみませんでした。

8月の土曜日の朝に伺いましたが入館待ちの列が出来ていました。15分ほど並んでから入館することができました。 館内は順番は関係なく各自が自由に見学出来るのですが、前の人に続いて列を作っている人が多かったです。 そのため所々で渋滞が発生している場所がありましたが、概ねスムーズにまわることが出来ました。 休憩できる椅子やベンチも沢山あるので、自分のペースでじっくりと見て回ることが出来るかと思います。 その日だけかもしれませんが、お昼過ぎの方が入館待ちの列は短かったです。

Found the museum incredibly moving. Afterwards we took a free tour of the Peace Boulevard and Kay our English speaking tour guide was absolutely amazing. Learnt so much about the event and Japanese culture. 5 Star experience.

この場所には、かつて活気のある商店や街があった。それが原爆によって破壊され、その後の後遺症に身体が蝕まれる。 原爆も持つ国住む国民も、持たざる国に住む国民も原爆を使用されたその後を、ここで考えることは非常に有益だ。 この施設には、私が感じた事が一つある。それはチケットの購入だ。このような世界的に見て有益な特別な施設にチケット購入は相応しくない。全て無料にすべきで、いつでも何度でも入場を許される施設にするべきだと思う。

Be prepared to walk long distances for this place is huge and spread out over a large space. There was a long queue of hundred plus people when I visited here in October, so I decided to stay away. The area is clean and accessible and has accessible washrooms. もっと見る

俗に言う原爆資料館です。日本人なら、また日本人でなくても広島に行ったらぜひ見てほしい資料館です。原爆の恐ろしさ、戦争の悲惨さ、無差別殺人の悲しさを痛感できる施設です。入場券と共にイヤホンガイドを借りて見学すると、より心に響く見学となります。 ちなみにナレーターは吉永小百合さんです 。 出入口に戻る渡り廊下から平和記念公園とその先に原爆ドームを見ることができます。遠景を撮影する時はこちらから撮るとまっすぐに見えます。

リニューアルされた平和記念資料館に、数十年ぶりに訪問。母親は被爆者なので、我が子にも一度は見学してほしかった場所。良い天候に恵まれ、年末の平日、10時頃でしたが、スムーズに見学する事ができました。久しぶりの訪問でしたが、展示がかなり変わりましたが、一度は来る価値のある資料館だと思います。その後、原爆ドームの近くまで行き、資料館で見た、あの出来事がここであったんだと感じました。

８時半に開館ですが、15分くらい前に行ったのに100人以上の列ができてました。 原爆の悲惨さを学ぶことができます。 特に最後の方にある、たくさんの被爆者の方々のお話のビデオは必聴です。わたしは30分以上そのコーナーにいて聞き入ってしまいました。 ノーフラッシュでなら館内撮影OKですが、撮る勇気はなかったです。 添付の写真は資料館内の二階から平和記念公園を撮ったものです。

リニューアルされた平和記念資料館に、数十年ぶりに訪問しました。 良い天候に恵まれ、早朝にも関わらず、海外からさまざまな人種が、老若男女訪れていました。私もその方々と、じっくり見学することができました。資料館を出ると、自然と足は、原爆の子の像に向かって歩いていました。そこで手を合わせてから、あらためて原爆ドームの近くまで行き、穏やかな川の流れをずっと眺めていました。 資料館で見た、あの出来事がここであったんだという思いだったからです。 また、来ます。

2023 8/23 ここは一般の方の駐車場がありません。知らずに行ったので周辺のパーキングを探しました。平日ですが、海外の人がたくさんいました。小さい頃にはだしのゲンを読んでいたのでその当時描かれていた話を思い出したり当時の服や新たに知ったり原爆の恐ろしさやそこに住んでいた人々の生活が一変する悲惨さがよくわかりました。

資料館は平日でも午後になると観光客(修学旅行生や外国人)すごく並んでいました。 朝一に行くのがおすすめです。 (並びすぎてたので初日は諦めて翌日朝一行きました) 1時間じゃ全然周りきれないほど見応えがあったので、時間は余裕をもって行ったほうがいいです。 公園も含めたら1日かけて回る価値があります。

日曜の午後に行きましたが、長蛇の列で１時間以上の待ち時間は待てず、翌日の11時頃再度行く。 外国のツアー、旅行者が７割くらいで白人が多いですね。 30分くらい並び入館するが、当時の写真、衣類、手紙、書き置き等、多くのものを展示しています。 手紙、展示物の説明に書かれている内容胸が熱くなり、戦争の悲惨なところを改めて感じ、今現実に起きている戦争で同じことがあるのだろう、早い停戦を望みます。

戦争の悲惨さを目の当たりにしました。写真は凝視できないものもありました。被爆した娘さんが自分のことは大丈夫と伝え家族の無事を心配する手紙を読んでいるうちに涙がこぼれてしまいました。一度は訪れたほうが良いと思います。

日曜日、営業30分前で既にすごい列でした。本当はじっくり見たかったのですが、写真を見ていてどんなに痛かっただろうかと気持ちが入りすぎてしまい、気分が悪くなってしまったので急いで出てきてしまいました。入口にお子様に配慮をと注意書きがありましたが、大人でも私のような者がおりますので少し座れる場所があると良いのかもしれませんね。

ずっといきたかったところ。平和!考えさせられました。外国の人もかなり沢山の人がいました。ただし、私達が見学終わった後は、沢山の人がならんで待ってました。１時間半ぐらいで全て見学できました

ずっと行ってみたかった。遠いので、なかなか、クチコミをみて、もっと昔の資料館を、見てみたかった。今は、ちょっとの火傷で、大騒ぎ。信じられません。残酷です。言葉が、出ません、

正直言って決して楽しい場所ではない。子供が二人いるので特に子供のエピソードを読むのが辛かった。 ただ、誰しも一度は訪れるべき場所だと思う。

土曜日19時までの開館で、18時くらいに着きましたが、チケット売り場は混雑、15分位並びました。外国人が多く、皆さん真剣に写真や展示物を見ていました。戦争は幸せは生まれない、今ある子供の笑顔、未来を奪ってはいけないと改めて考えさせられた もっと見る

世界の広島から発信。これだけの資料を苦労して後世に残しながら、過ちは繰り返しませんと約束できない現状に、人間の愚かさの極みを感じています。一部の政治家や企業、軍人の責任ではなく、それを知らずしらず許す国民の責任、選挙は行くべき。

広島平和記念公園、原爆ドーム、資料館を始めて訪問しました。非常に興味深く、あらためて戦争について、また、核爆弾について考えさせられました。資料館は、見ごたえがあるので、半日くらいの時間を想定した方がいいと思います。 もっと見る

2度目の訪問です。 一度は訪れてみる事をおすすめします。 展示物を見て、被爆者の方々の体験やお手紙を拝見し涙がこぼれました。 今がいかに幸せなのか実感させられました。 こんな悲惨なことは2度とあってはなりません。

もう何度も訪れていますが、改めて核兵器の怖さと平和の大切さを感じました。 土日祝日はかなり混み合います。 時間に余裕を持って行かれることをおすすめします。
