I had a great experience at Maharaja Indian Restaurant. Today, I went to that place with some friends. We opted for a pre-set menu for four people, which was enough to satisfy our hunger. If you're unsure, this may assist you in making a decision. Additionally, you have the option to order other items. Once we sat down, the menu was promptly placed on our table, and soon after, we had it in our possession. In my opinion, this is one of the restaurants in Kaohsiung that offers authentic Indian cuisine. Although it may be a bit expensive, the dining experience you will receive here is definitely worth it. Some of us were not aware that the menu was pre-set and found it to be too spicy. Perhaps we should have kindly reminded the chef about our dietary preferences. Just a friendly reminder that the Indian chef is very accommodating and happy to tailor our dining experience to our preferences. They open in the evening after 5:30. Scooters can park in the available spaces in front. Additionally, there are nearby parking lots that require payment.

My original positive review that I felt was accurate for over a year of eating at this restaurant : As authentic as you can get without going to India. But recently, everything has changed to the worse. My review after visiting last week : Everything tasted differently and for the worse. I've always ordered the same dishes for over 2 years. But something was terribly wrong with the taste on this visit. I promised my friend the best Indian food in southern Taiwan and we both experienced something we never want to experience again.

真的很有道地風味的店家，蠻多外國臉孔存在的店家；第一次嚐鮮、有選擇障礙的人，可以試試套餐比較快 【蔬菜脆餅】很開胃，淋上醬汁後，真的超開胃；【蔬菜黃金角】，吃起來好像是包地瓜在裡面；湯品，比較喜歡【雞湯】，有別於一般雞湯，有加特殊香料 大推【烤餅】系列，很多人來必點，尤其是蒜味的，超Q超有嚼勁，而且看起來少少的，吃到最後嘴好酸 烤爐料理的【招牌坦都雞肉】，肉不柴味道很夠，很經典的香料料理；【主廚羊肉】羊肉味不重，原本期待可以吃到很濃郁的咖哩，但吃起來偏甜；【椰香魚】不愛吃椰香的我，覺得跟烤餅很搭，好吃！！ 【印度牛奶小米甜品】很特別，請務必試試，吃起來有那種把羊乳片搗在裡面麥片裡，再加點瓜子穀物的感覺；【奶茶】較特別的拉茶味唷！

We ordered dal makhani, kadai paneer, tomato soup, vegetable biryani, paneer Tikka, etc. Loved the paneer Tikka. Dal makhani, paneer kadai, and tomato soup were good. Vegetable biryani disappointed us a bit, both taste and quantity wise.

店員的服務恰到好處，而且食物的品質很穩定。基本上想吃什麼儘管點，幾乎不會踩雷。甚至連番茄湯都很有味道，甚至多吃一碗的大有人在。 這個地方的咖哩是賣點，不管點什麼咖哩都能吃出製作過程中的用心，以及獨特的味道。由於非常入味，就算點的是如羊絞肉等味道重的料理，也因為辛香料而吃不出羊肉的羶味。 商業午餐沒有窯烤，但單點也是值得的。推薦的招牌雞肉塊，確實味道濃郁、軟硬適中。份量看來五塊雖少，但搭配薄荷醬與洋蔥泡菜，整體吃來不膩口倒也值得。 餅是師傅現場製作，看來是印度人。師傅製作餅一部分給客人，也同時充當自己的員工餐；跟客人一樣，吃著餅陪著咖哩。客人看著員工吃一樣的東西，倒是放心。

Not sure how to elaborate how bad the food and drinks was. An Indian restaurant with not a bit of spicy. Ordered 7 dishes for 2 pax, only the Biryani was edible. Definitely not worth the price.

The decor was definitely interesting, but the food was delicious. A little overpriced, but worth it for a quick service time and a variety of tasty dishes. We come here once a month for our Indian fix. Just make sure you book if you're planning to go at the busiest times.

The Food here is very Good. Prepared by Indian chefs. If you are Indian, the Indian chef himself will take the order and understand the taste needed. The spice, flavors are matched to perfection. Cost - 1000 for 2. Good option for Indians travelling in Kaohsiung.

Such wonderful flavors in every bite. Everything we had was delicious and served quickly and very nice and hot. The staff are friendly and took our order with precision. I can’t wait to go back again thank you so much!

Very authentic Indian restaurant in Taiwan. The chicken tikka masala was delicious. The nan bread is somewhat crispy and soft the same time. It is amazing. The service is okay but I'm really amazed by the food there.

跟平常吃到的咖喱完全不同，黃醬酸酸甜甜，香料口味的味道較重但很下飯，一樣是羊肉的咖喱，不同的醬羊騷味輕重不同，在意的人建議先問一下店員。 米飯的口感很特別，雖然形狀跟泰國米相同，但鬆鬆的口感跟泰國米完全不同，也沒什麼味道，搭配咖喱很好吃！現在點咖喱就送烤餅，烤餅有麵粉香，微Q的口感很搭咖喱，單吃也很香！ 湯類的味道有種特別的香氣，但cp值比較低，下次不會再點！

One of the best Indian food I had in Taiwan. I love the mutton curry, very very tasty. The name was filling. The ginger tea is very nice too. But it's a bit pricy.

咖哩的口味很濃郁，有些口感偏甜、有些偏鹹，個人覺得不太好吃，烤餅不錯，炸魚條好吃，飲料可以，白飯太恐怖了。 我從未到過印度吃正宗口味，但這邊的口味和先前在英國吃的印度菜不一樣。

沒去過印度無法比較口味是否到地，咖哩風味真的特殊，黃、綠咖哩還不錯吃，但是白咖喱有股類似洗衣精的味道，烤餅好吃，烤乳酪普通，總之偶爾品嚐一下異國料理，開拓眼界也是不錯的選擇！

烤餅搭配咖喱好好吃 奶茶的特殊香氣也很濃郁 但坦都烤雞不知道為何上桌的時候不是熱的 咖喱也不熱 好像食物溫度都溫熱而已 不是剛起鍋的那種熱度
