THE BEST CAFE IN MYEONDONG! If you want a cafe that makes gorgeous food plus and has a beautiful ambience, you need to visit here. First you walk up the beautiful winding steps until you reach the first door. It has a large golden leaf as a door push. Then you continue up the stairs and at the top, to the left of the last door is a tiny book cove with a cute old seat. When you enter you're greeted by a lovely lady who gives you a menu that also has english along side the korean so you aren't disadvantaged if your grasp on korean is limited. There are 3 floors in total. The top floor has a beautiful garden terrace that is bathed in dappled sunlight. The decor or the place is vintage mismatched chairs like bentwood and large smokers couches, coupled with grandfather clocks and and antiques in every corner. I ordered Honey Toast which was served with 2 scoops of handmade icecream and a dollop of cream. The toast crunch was perfect while the inside of the toast was hot and fluffy. My bestfriend ordered Tiramisu and usually I don't like Tiramisu but this one was so yummy I couldn't believe it. I could have ravished the whole slice by myself. After eating my toast I wandered around to look at the art of the wall and marvel at the antiques. The cabinet with the different China sets were my favourite, but I'm biased because I love tea and tea sets. If you want to visit a beautiful cafe, for an affordable price where you will get so many instagrammable photos, then Cafe Coin is where you must visit. It was surprising that this place is very crowded and full of people in every corner of the cafe. Because this cafe is located quite far from the crowded corner of Myeongdong. There are 3 floors, when I arrived at around 3 pm today, Saturday, I need to go to the 3rd floor. You just need to go and order on your seat. This is quite interesting, I thought there is no staff at all because of the name "coin caffee" but there are one staff on every floor where you can call and tell her what to order. She will also deliver the drinks and food for you from the 1st floor. Hmm... interesting way. The decoration of this cafe is quite interesting, full of antique furniture. There are a collection of famous people's signatures on the wall before the entrance door. The food and drink are delicious and the price is reasonable.

For those that cannot read Korean, yes this location is for Cafe Coin. Tiramisu was brilliant. Enjoyed the milk tea bingsu. Unique aesthetics and pleasant atmosphere with classical piano music playing in the background.

옛날 느낌의 아늑하고 포근한 분위기여서 대화하기 좋았습니다. 그리고 사장님 같이 보이시는 분이 입구에서 정말 정중하게 손님을 맞아주시고 자리도 직접 친절히 안내해 주셨어요. 외국인 손님들을 생각해서인지 외국인 직원분이 계셨었는데 항상 웃으시면서 정말 너무 친절하셨습니다. 아이스 코인 블랜드 커피와 밀크티 빙수를 주문했습니다. 블랜드 커피는 아이스인데도 향이 잘 느껴지면서 맛있는 커피였고, 밀크티 빙수는 식감은 좋은데 밀크티 맛은 위에서 아래로 파서 먹을수록 맛이 좀 옅어지는 게 아쉬웠지만 감 슬라이스가 빙수랑 의외로 잘 어울려서 맛있었어요. 다른 디저트들도 맛있어 보여서 또 방문하고 싶네요.

Nice location, friendly staff. So far the positieve part of this review, because they sell something called Tiramisu which doesn’t have a taste that is any close to the Italian dessert. Is there fermented milk in it? Do they use goat cheese instead of Mascarpone? I don’t know, but the taste us terrible. Sorry for such a nice place.

We had on the house a small ball of icecream. And excelente service and drinks. It's located in a small street and might not have a nice view but very elegant wood decoration. Not too expensive for the price if you compare with starbucks. I totally recommend to have green tea or cafe.

A great little spot to chill with friends in Myeongdong, the cafe is tucked away on the second floor and it’s spacious and comfortable. You can sit there for hours without feeling rushed… We ordered their ‘special’ (green tea parfait), it was a generous serving and very delicious.

Wonderful atmosphere. We had a chai and the ice cream with fruit. Tasted more like a frozen yogurt which was refreshing and we enjoyed it but if you’re looking for sweet ice cream You may not like it. It isn’t cheap but a nice respite.

Very nice cafe to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with special house waffle. The honey toast are delicious too. Outside the windows are maple trees guess best time to visit would be autumn as the view would be nice backdrop for photo taking.

Huge interiors and feels like grandma’s house. The bingsu is delicious here and with a side of Vienna coffee. Perfect. Coffee is on the pricier side but it’s so cute here. We didn’t mind.

It gets crowded even on weekdays. The wait for the waffle was long. Surprisingly the waffle tasted good with tteokbokki. Felt like moch waffle. Not a fan of vanilla ice cream though.

Went at 8:30pm, ingredients were low with at least 30 mins wait. However, restaurant was too understaffed, only 3 service crew for 2 floors and they couldn’t even take our order.

Tiramisu is really really tasty!!!!!!!! Service is good and waitresses are attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and the shop is spacious. Cafe is good and free Wi-Fi is offered.

Great place for dessert and coffee. Had the green ice flakes. 2 scoops of mocha ice cream on top of shaven ice mixed with red beans and chopped almonds.

대학때부터 다닌 명동 카페코인~~아직도 같은 장소 같은 구조 크게 바뀌지않은 빈티지한 느낌의 이카페는 추억의 장소다.어제도 연말이라 대학로연극을 보고 명동으로 Gogo~~창너머 아래 풍경을 보며 친구들과 이야기 꽃을 피우던 이곳..지금은 남편과 함께한다.

Coffee is good.good for rest, talk. Couches are comfy and relaxing. Don't have plugs. Don't recommend it if you need to work or study.

학창 시절 처음 와보는 까페같은 낭만이 있는 곳. 요즘 흔한 커피숍에서는 찾기 힘든 낭만적인 공간입니다. 을지로 입구쪽에도 같은 가게가 있으나 명동점의 분위기가 더 끌리네요. 몸이 예전같지 않아 가파른 입구 계단이 버겁습니다.

요즘 카페 정말 많은데 여기에 저는 추억을 먹으러 왔어요. 요즘, 특히나 명동 한복판에 이렇게 오래된 카페 흔치 않죠. 근처 매장들이 다 없어지고 명동 안골목들이 유령도시 처럼 되었는데 이 카페가 없어지면 어쩌나 걱정했어요.

고풍스런 분위기에 앉아서 커피를 주문하고 직접 가져다주는 보기드믄 시스템을 유지하는 곳! 커피맛도 좋고 서비스로 주는 아이스크림도 아주 맛있으며 내부에 흡연실도 있어 애연가들이 좋아함.
