Bayview park is a beautiful place in Narre warren with an amazing view from the bird eye angle. It is close to Berwick and Narre warren train station. With limited parking spots, it has a long steep curve to walk upwards. We went in there today morning to observe the sunrise. However, some of the trees blocked the sunrise view. It would definately be worth to visit this place for Sunset One of the other challenge is that there are not many places to sit at the Park. Hence if you are planning for a picnic at this place then it is not ideal. However, as there is a great walking trail, it would be really good to burn some fat and walk the trail. Overall, A good experience and nice place to observe the sunset.

Great idea and I agree with others toilets and benches would be great to assist all levels of fitness. I also found the steps too far apart. It starts well but once at top of first set the steps are actually 1.5 steps apart so difficult for rythym. Also there is no shortcuts if you cant make it so no option except go back. There are several places that a track back to carpark would help keep it a circuit but allow you to make a shorter route for those building their fitness after recovering from illness like me. Good start so hope they don't just leave it. .It is deteriorating already thru recent rains. Bark washing away and trenches starting on side of walkway.

A great local spot to have a quick walk or run with a few hills and a great city view (when it isn't hazy). I'm not sure if there are actually 1001 steps but as a friend says, "The steps are too wide and not high enough." I can't help but laugh to myself at times when I go for that walk because it does feel like I'm galloping at times, maybe cause I am. Speaking of galloping though, if you decide you want a longer walk, you can do the equestrian trail which heads around in a loop (approximately 2.5kms).

Nice and close to home. Lovely views across Narre Warren. The steps spacing are all very different so if your going with the intent of running them be careful. Not a taxing circuit. So good for all levels. ALSO some people seem to think its ok to let their dogs off lead. Its not an off lead park so dogs MUST be kept on lead. Thankfully my dog is small enough to pick up after a dog rushed over to her , ignoring its owners calls. So more signage through the walk is needed also more parking

Needs lines marked in the car park so people park correctly, also needs bench seats, amenities block and a water tap. The steps themselves are good but there is also a lack of shade and no seats on the side of the path or at the car park, I walked the steps once the person I was with did it 3 times, that meant sitting on the ground wanting. Hopefully after some time there will be improvements, plenty of people enjoying the walk.

Incredible workout. Great cardio. Go easy for beginners or go harder for the fitness enthusiasts/either way, please remember to stop and admire the incredible views..also. please don't take coffee with you unless you are prepared to carry it with you because there are no bins on the walk/ only one bin at the carpark..don't litter...it's not cool. Enjoy

Still in its infancy and yet to be officially opened, this track is likely to be a go to for many, both locals and from beyond the shire. Not too strenuous and should attract all fitness levels - the fitter just do extra loops. Lacks the beauty and majesty of the 1000Steps in the Dandenongs, but the views from the top are good.

Visited for the first time 16.5.2020 & was somewhat disappointed. I assumed some emphasis would be placed on the '1001 steps' but is was actually impossible to know where step 1 was and where step 1001 completed... little to no signage, JUST track in between 'steps' and parking was totally inadequate. Views are SPECTACULAR!!!

Fantastic idea by the City of Casey. Not anywhere near the test of the 1000 steps at Olinda. This course is on the side of a hill and has up and down sections. More relaxing walk. Definately needs public toilets and more parking. Looks like the council are preparing for more trials. So can only get better.

It’s a sunny day and we decided to try a new place other than Wilson Park. It’s a short walk to the top and the view is great on a sunny day. But the trail is a short one and the steps might be comfortable for people with knee problems. Go slow to enjoy the surrounding.

  • Michael Surname

Great to have a walk. As it is just around the corner and easy walk every day when it is not raining. This place does not have staff that do not yell at customers. Not like "On the go cafe" at Casey Central, They will yell and carry on when they rip you off.

  • コーヒーBoss

This walk is a bit short, although there is not much of a view. Most of the surrounding trees are gone giving a barren feel. Since the walk is not that long, if you do want a longer walk, you can do the equestrian trail which loops around the trail.

  • M Wayang

Hey folks this is not the actual 1000 steps iconic destination, it's just a local neighbourhood park. We were misdirected here by Google maps. The place is not too bad, if you look pass the lack of trees, kid graffiti and long run of steps.

  • Kevin Lay

Nice short few steps around a hilly grassy area. Limited picnic spots as the grassy area near the top are either too steep or no suitable sitting area/grass too long. Some parking spots at the base. Only tales 15-30 mins to walk the loop.

  • Alyssa Hauck

Only reason I would give this a star is because the horse trail around the back is at least a slightly longer walk. If you’re looking for a challenging hike or to do actual steps, do not go here. Also the entire area is full of flies.

  • FRANCIS KARIUKI

This is a great place to help shed extra kilos and I think it would be better if there were some bathrooms available. But I wonder what happened to the cute wild bunnies I used to see running around. They used to spice up my walking.

  • Caila Browning

Beautiful spot to have an on lead walk with your dog. Offers plenty of lovely views and a great form of exercise as well. It’s an extremely stimulating walk for high energy dogs, most people who walk here are really lovely.

  • Malinda Sabaratnam

The view from the track will surprise you. Well worth checking out, especially for anyone living in the area without having to go 1000 steps. I was there for the sunrise and it was amazing. Probably even better at sunset.

  • Spencer Madhanayake

Nice place to visit for views over the area. Not maintained well unfortunatly. I guess its a work in progress at present.

  • Nick Wadsley

A new walk with sweeping views over Melbourne. It's much easier and more user friendly than the other 1000 steps walk in Ferntree Gully. The scenery isn't quite as beautiful but it's certainly worth a look.

  • Galain Williams

Not a bad place for a walk, or a light bit of exercise. Considerably easier than 1000 steps, which makes it friendly for beginners. No ammeneties, and a small carpark make it hard to recommend for families.

  • Neil lovett

The locals would get a lot out of this walk, would not go out of my way to get here but we have walked it and enjoyed the views , the climb is not too strenuous so most levels of fitness can achieve it.

  • Vivek M

A beautiful walking trail with a few hundred not so intensive steps as compared to the Dandenong Ranges Kokoda 1000 steps. There isn't any restroom or picnic area. It is pretty good for dogs indeed

  • M H M

We went for walk here on Saturday. This is beautiful place and nice views. It is short trail but very joyful place. There was no restroom, no picnic tables. It is just for walking and lookout.

  • Timea Kiss

absolutely adore this place! best fitness park in melbourne. my one ask would be to please spray the whole thing with deet because the flies are ACTUALLY INSANE especially in the summer …

  • Phong Cao

A short walking trail with a beautiful view from the hill. Apart from the route with steps down/up hill, you also could take a another route a bit longer but easier with walking gravels road

  • Jacinta Dzioba (Jazz)

What a Gem - this place is a must. The Views are amazing, the steps give you a good workout. The track is around 1.5km and took me around 30 mins including small stops to admire the view.

  • Machi Farooqui

Great spot for a quiet walk or a hard run. Step are wide, catering to crowded times still having good space to run/walk. Nice variety of uphills and downhills. 1 loop of the stairs is 1km

  • Eddie s

Nice place for a walk or a steps workout. Pity people don't understand carry in carry out. They walk past a bin twice but still drop rubbish elsewhere. Was ample parking when I was there.

  • Choco Cat

I like that this is closer than the 1000 steps in Ferntree Gully, and if you power up the steps and do them a few times it's a good work out. I just wish there were more trees and shade.

  • Rick Adrian

Great spot for a walk with great views of the south eastern suburbs on clear days. At the time of writing (July 2019) the reserve is getting some upgrades and looks to have more coming.

  • Min Huang

Great for a quick and relaxing walk. Nice suburb view from the top. Not much to do or see though: no picnic, no seatings. There is a water fountain at the bottom though which is handy.

  • Kieran Coutts

Not as intense of a workout as the Dandenong ranges 1000 steps, but if you keep up your pace and go around a few times it's okay. Nice view of the suburbs, very clean and peaceful.

  • Jai Singh Randhawa

It’s a good place to hike near to Berwick-Narre Warren area. Limited car parking available but still manageable. Good view of surrounding suburbs with quiet and peaceful feels.

  • Surag Sudhakaran

One of the highest points in Narre Warren. Nice sunset views, views of melbourne CBD, bay views, stair climbing.Limited car parking spaces. Mostly crowded around sunset times.

  • Yogita Rai

  • Gloria Croft

First time here with my daughters and grandson, not too busy, and with great views. Fly deterant is a must, but overall a great place to go to get some exercise. …

  • Brian Fordham

Not as intensive as the Ferntree Gully version, but still enough of a workout for most fitness levels. Very child friendly with well maintained steps and gravel tracks

  • James Andrews

Very good place for mild walk and step climbing, cannot be compared with 1000 steps Dandenong, the car park is very small on the whole, me and my wife love the place.

  • Rod Esmore

Ripper walk with the dog. Thanks Rosalie Christani for making this happen. And only a 6 min walk from home. Love the open space and the incredible views of melb city.

  • Michael H

I wouldn't call these stairs. It's more of a walking track with retaining walls. Impossible to keep a constant stride. End up walking on the side of the stairs

  • douglas okonya

If you into fresh air and outdoor walking, put this place into your " once in a while bucket list". And whil you are there, take a good view of the city.

  • William Mc Dougall

Good view and walk for so close to narre. If you're after something longer or more nature then you're probably better to head to lysterfield Lake nearby

  • Ebi Seyfi

Well I enjoyed it but I thought it was a bit of short walk or Maybe I was prepared for a serious walk today .overall it was worth going out there .

  • Alexandra Lloyd

Beautiful place to enjoy sunset in the nice weather. Dog friendly and easy to walk. Parking is a bit too small and gets busy around that time.

  • CM Makwana

Loved the first visit! Spectacular views and friendly people on the way made my day. Definitely one of my favourite place for light training.

  • Alijae

Go for a stroll, work out lightly or do a really strong cardio workout. All up to you. You can also see some beautiful views and sunsets.

  • Pasan Senanayake

The nature was nice, and we really enjoyed the view of the city. The walk was tiring, but it was totally worth it. Overall it was great.

  • fernando m

Nice 30-45 min hike, so much easier than 1000 steps. Very little signage, parking spots & amenities. Nice views, Dog friendly …

  • DANIEL CATRINTA

Great place to exercise and even better to take your pet for a walk with you. However, the pets have to be on a leash the whole time.

  • Jugdeep Saini

Granted Dandenong Ranges has the best 1k steps walk but this 1001 step walk in Narre Warren/North/Berwick area is pretty good too.

  • Liam Moore

Some nice views of the area, not an overly difficult walking trail.
Dog-friendliness
Plenty of people walking dogs on leads.

  • EBBY ABRAHAM
