I had a horrific experience in your bar last week. **** Every single time I go to this restaurant/bar which is often (2-3 times a month) - I have to pay as soon as I place an order for my food or I have give them my credit card to start a tab (which they keep behind the bar until I am ready to leave) ...Last week I watched a Caucasian man and lady that had ordered an abundance of food and drinks and were seated...walk up to the counter, reach into his wallet and pay for their meal with a credit card. He was not asked to pay upfront as I was nor was he asked for a credit card to start a tab? He paid, after consuming a meal and drinks. I asked the young lady at the counter why this happened? Why did I have to pay up front and not him? She didn't have an explanation, but did apologize - I asked for the owners phone number and name. She mentioned that it was the server prior to her that let the man do it - because they are friends?? That did not make sense to me because a Rule is a Rule right? I've asked the folks that work in the bar that day and several times since to have the OWNER of this establishment call me. (Nothing) I asked them for a phone # to contact the owner myself and they gave me the PHONE NUMBER TO THE RESTAURANT??!! ...when I called, I was told that they do not have a way to contact the owner at all (NOT TRUE) and had no idea when he will be at the restaurant. I was talked down to, by a staff PERSON NAMED LISA - who was upset because I wanted to speak to the owner (Per LISA the man & woman are friends of hers & because of that...they don't have to pay in advance, like I had to) Lisa threatened to call the police on me because I wanted to speak to the owner and she knew that she was wrong. This incident does not sit well with me and I haven't slept well since that day. I will not rest until, I speak to the OWNER of "Bar 108" @ 10845 NE Halsey St. I look forward to speaking to the owner. This place is awesome. They have a great menu to order from. The food is always deliciously amazing! My favorite thing to order are the wings and calamari. Bartenders always make the drinks right and they are fantastic human beings. They work so hard and have lots of fun so it's a great relaxed vibe. I really enjoy coming here for date night, birthday outings and more. Seriously the best bar and grill in town. The hubby likes playing pool here and we always have a kickass time. Sometimes we sit at the bar and sometimes we sit at the booth. Either way, the bartenders always come check on us and give us refills. 5 star service every time I've gone in. It can be busy so the parking lot might get full. Street parking is safe and free. This place might not look so flashy and impressive on the outside... but I assure you, looks can be deceiving. This place be popping. There's lots of happy people here.

Great place to watch sports. The food here is subpar for Vietnamese cuisine—but their customer service is great. They offer a decent selection for tap beers, and cocktails. Video poker isn’t usually packed either so you could always find a machine to play on—or play pool/darts if you’re not into gamble. Been coming here for over 10+ years, and I have to admit that this is my go-to bar when I’m in SouthEast PDX. Will definitely continue to support this establishment for many years to come.

I came in for lunch not knowing they don't have the full menu until 5pm. Totally understand that. The pot stickers were perfect, some of the best in town, slightly crispy, but soft and delicious filling. Egg rolls were good too. Hector was a great bar tender, and explained the inconvenience well enough to satiate me, as well as my other questions. Will definitely visit again, and I suggest sports fans and Asian food lovers to give it a shot, even if it's just the pot stickers.

My friends and have tried this place 3 times now and have had bad luck every time. Went in twice and sat at table for over 15 minutes before getting service. The last and final time my wife and I went in and sat at the bar and saw a nice big plate of food going to a table, I asked the bartender if I could order that and he said no. I asked why not, he said that was a special order and I could not get it. Then to justify it he said that person brought in there own food and they cooked it for them. I know that's against the rules. They can't discriminate from one customer to the next.

The time we went in the afternoon there wasn't a lot of of people in there had a couple drinks and played video poker so there was very much noise in there very enjoyable atmosphere

The location was handy the number of parking spots was tremendous and the number of handicap spots was like I think four or five or six

This is a great local bar with reasonably priced drinks and amazing food! The menu was such a pleasant surprise! Everything from pub food like burgers and fries to Asian cuisine such as chicken pad thai (which was absolutely to die for! Stay away if you cant handle some spice, though!) There are pool tables, a juke box, and video poker machines to keep you entertained. The outdoor patio is smoker friendly and comfortable which is a rare combination to find in Portland. It's a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth a visit!

I thought I was gonna have a beer and a cheap burger at a dive bar, I was on a walk and ducked into this random place. No. This place was a casual bar yes and they did have burgers which I ordered but the other barflies were getting beautiful Thai dishes. The burger I had ordered was perfect, don't get me wrong, but the Thai food they were serving looked beautiful and the patrons let me know how good it was. Drop in on this place for a non hoity toity beer that doesn't cost $6, and maybe a delicious snack or meal.

The woman seemed annoyed that we were there and not very friendly. The beers were like $8 each which seems crazy for a dive bar. Liked how there was a fireplace and pool tables, but with such a large space you could definitely have a dart board, too. The music kept stopping. The food wasn't anything impressive and was also really expensive. We live right by here but had never gone in, and we probably never will again after this experience.

I loved the Fireplace! I loved the Sports Screens. My friend loved the Gambling Machines The Employees and Owners are genuine and Sincere. Beautiful people ! The Food is Fantastic and Fresh!!! But not ENOUGH people there. I have no idea why? This joint should be JUMPING - it's got so much going on!!!! Time to put a Meetup up in there, now! I'm already planning it

I really only come here for their Vietnamese fried wings. I really enjoy their spicy version. All of their food is good though. It has a decently sized outdoor patio with a separate area for smokers so that is nice.

This bar is the place to be nonetheless. Food is awesome no doubt. Due to smokers since I'm a non smoker. I give it 2 stars because while I'm inside consuming my food, the door that leads to the outside were people smoke is open. Due to that people inside are 2nd hand smoking. Overall everything is good unless they can close that door.

The bartender is the coolest guy ever... He made us feel welcomed and served us well. Respectful but unpretentious... We are top shelf drinkers and he gave us what we asked for. The atmosphere was chill and is definitely the place where one could love to be the place where everyone knows your name... #Patron #DonJulio

My experience was very poor .I walked in at 12:20am on the 18th they are open intell 1:00am .the guy said were closed All I wanted to do is play some poker. Their were 6 people in there .Bad service either you're open or not.may he shouldn't be working there..the law is if

I can go in & feel like I have been going there for years! The night crew is usually more lively, but still enjoyable... the menu isn't too bad for a bar & has a alight Asian flare to it. Always great to find a place I can take a break from.

The food was great and service was amazing. Ate at 1am and will be back. Great late Night stop

This place is one of the go to spots for some late night snacks and eats. They have a food lime beef dish here and also some tasty wings. The staff here is friendly and quick to serve you.

Burger was pretty good, drinks were even better. Cool fireplace in the middle of the bar, everything was clean and tidy. Wasn't expecting much in this area but overall was impressed. We will make this a regular stop when in the area.

I thought that this place was going to be a little hole in the wall bar, but it wasn't! It is actually SUPER nice inside, I would highly recommend coming here. They also have Oregon Video Lottery. You should definitely check it out.

The place closes at 2:30am. At 2, an employee came and took our drinks off the table without even asking if we were finished with them. Bartender was nice but I probably will go somewhere else if I want to go out late in the night.

Wow! I'm not sure why I haven't been there before! Everything we ordered was great! A must order...Lime Beef, Pepper Salted Squid and Pepper Salted Shrimp! Thanks Val for taking me there and shout out to Hector who was our server.

Great bar to go to for a relaxed atmosphere. Usually not overcrowded. The food, drinks, and customer service is always great. They have an outside seating area, and your typical area for pool and an area for dancing.

Really nice dive bar with good food options and drink specials. Nice staff, friendly patrons. A nice mix of people. Cary is the best bartender hands down!

The chicken wings are awesome. They come in American or Vietnamese style. Linda the cook is the best. Pork Chops rice and eggs is my favorite meal here. Rolling rick is cold and cheap. $2.50 24/7

A little bit of a wait on food but it was well worth it! Pretty empty on Friday nights so it makes for a great casual late night restaurant and hang out spot with throwback music and pool.
