READ BEFORE BUYING! BEWARE! Had an unpleasant experience with Katie (the store manager). I bought a pair of shoes late last year from 124 and it was a made to order shoe. I have not use the shoe for more than 3 months and the zip closure came open apart every time i wore it, I was shocked because I was expecting the shoes to be high quality and will last long. I went to the store in emporium and was told that they will do the repairs for free. Weeks went by and my shoes are ready to be picked up and its fixed. I asked her did they fix the zip, she replied: "I don't know, we left the shoes at the cobbler". As expected, the zip is not fixed after waiting for weeks, I wore the shoes and the zip had the same issue. She told me, she will bring the shoes to the cobbler again for another repair! They are not responsible for it? No apologies said and she was very rude as well. For anyone reading this, please avoid buying from 124, unpleasant customer service and bad management. Would suggest consumers to buy from other brands other than 124, so you do not have to waste your time. You would be spending more time dealing with the store staff than getting to wear the shoes you bought.

Outstanding after-sale support; exemplary service throughout the transaction. Had to return shoes, for size and fit. Staff was available 9.00am on a Saturday, responding to chat instantly. Gentleman made excellent recommendations for styles that would be more suitable for our circumstances. His associate contacted me immediately to finalise the exchange, billing only the difference. Returned shoes to Melbourne Emporium, by post, midday Thursday, and new shoes arrived by courier from Sydney, midday Sunday. Incredible service and turnaround, particularly given current circumstances. New shoes fit perfectly. Friendly, courteous and professional; nothing was too much bother. Top class, all around. If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would. First of all, the layout of the shop is immaculate, never seen anything like it. The shop screams UNIQUE. For the fact that not one machine touches these shoes, it’s incredible how soft they are I would wear mine to sleep if I could. I think the idea of having such exclusive shoes is so awesome I feel like a super star when people ask where my shoes are from but I’m the only person who has this size and style. The service is amazing, everyone is so patient there and doesn’t pressure me to buy anything, if anything i feel very taken care of. Especially from Neville, you can see how passionate he is the way he talks about these shoes. Well done team at 124 Shoes and The Projects.

While I was on my way to shop for groceries, I pass by the store and I saw a pair of boots in the window that caught my attention. A gentleman name Neville welcomed me to the store , he was so lovely and very informative , I was very impressed by him and his knowledge in shoes. That was my first time being in the store and and their collection is a BEAUTY! and the Quality? A+. I ended up buying a pair of boots (LEMARGO Womens Knee High Boot , AMAZING boots) thanks to Neville who knew exactly my style , Yes their boots are $$ but worth it. Your legs takes you everywhere so you better invest in your shoes. Neville, thank you so much for your service, I will be back for more beautiful Italian crafted shoes.

I have bought several items in 124 shop before year 2019 and was a loyalty customer, that time the working staff were very professional, nice and kind. But now the working staff are so rude and very pushy to customer. Suggest the store manager dismiss the Emporium working staff one called Neville and another women staff, and change anyone else that could be more polite and professional. Otherwise they will ruin the reputation of this luxury Italy brand. Because of the Neville stuff, I won’t buy any item in 124 shop in the future. I’m not sure if there is a complain department of 124 brand, but that ‘stuff’ really need give me an apology for his rude and stupid.

Through my dealings with Neville and Kathy my experiences have been wonderful. The shoes are like pieces of art and meticulously hand made, the detail and Italian generational craftsmanship is worth every penny. My favourite brand they offer is LEMARGO, beautifully made. We spend so much time on our feet and in our shoes so it’s worth investing in this quality. They respond to emails quickly and express post your order, customer service is excellent and brands extensive. A true shopping experience!

Literally the worst customer experience I have ever had. Cathy in the sales team is manipulative and a liar. Ordered a pair of made to order boots costing over $1000 and an 8-10 week turn around time. In store I was told made to order usually is fulfilled even earlier. 12weeks passed with no contact from the company. 17 weeks and am now told there is no possibility of having the shoes made. After me having to make contact every single time. Waste of time. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

Don't be turned off by the price. These shoes will last you for years if you take care of them. Not only that, but they seem to look even better with age. Each shoe is one of a kind and hand made. You don't see products like this today. Spend the money and get a pair of shoes that turn heads and supports artisans and local businesses. Neville and the team were incredibly helpful and friendly to deal with. You cannot go wrong. Buying online or in-store - they make it easy.

I would’ve give 0 star if I could. Arrogant sales assistant make me felt unwelcome. I asked for silver color in size 6 she brought blue and told me just try it (in case you change your mind and I have to dig out the right one for ya). She didn’t say it out loud but her body language certainty did. I understand it is hard to be positive all day especially in Christmas season, however if you work in this industry, at least have some basic courtesy and respect.

I really like 124 shoes and have a few pair but our last trip to the shop my girlfriends and I felt really unwelcome by the shop assistant. She greeted us but was curt in her tone, we left after a couple entered the shop and her address and service to them was noticeably and positively different. Disappointing as I do really like their shoes but won’t forget how the visit made me feel.

Watch out for these guys, if you buy an item on sale online and you need to return it (eg size issue) when you go to the shop and find the same item they will tell you that is a new model and you have to pay full price! The shoe can look identical but no way to argue that it is! Then, they will only offer a voucher (no refund) which is against your rights in victoria….!

I don’t usually leave reviews for stores but after my experience here I just had to. Walked in looking for a pair shoes for an upcoming wedding I had. The help I got from kathy was above and beyond. Not only did I leave with high quality shoes that I love but also knowledge I doubt I would have received elsewhere. Would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Quality Italian made shoes. Came across this shoes store when I was walking around the CBD area. Sean has been a great help in helping me to pick my shoes and he has been very patient too . The shoes are very comfy and crafted to last longer. I have been wearing them a lot and they still look good. Will come back for more.

I have bought many pairs of shoes from 124. The shoes are great. The service quality fluctuate so much. In some days, they treat you like a deserving customer esp when you are there to buy. Sometimes they treat you like an unworthy peasant who should be thrown out of their castle. Snobby is the only word.

High quality imported hand-made shoes, mostly from Italy . Shoes that last and feel comfortable as soon as you put them on. Much better than buying knock off's made from synthetic materials that make your feet sweat. Spend a little extra, because you get what you pay for. …

I purchased a pair of shoes on line, then found they were damaged upon delivery. I requested them to be repaired but was told that they can't be repaired. I ended up getting a 50% store credit. Store owner called me to apologise and confirmed that a repair would not be suitable.

Just received my new shoes from 124 and they just feel sooo good on my feet. You just can't beat the quality craftsmanship of the shoes they produce and I love the exclusivity factor given they only do short style runs. Treat yourself to a pair and you won't look back!

No familiar faces left except for Barbs aka Anthony. 124 is by far one of Melbourne’s unique Premium Artison shoe retailers still operating (this is great, because there is so much rubbish out there LOL) Amazing range that never fails to impress the shoe addicts.
