I have been going to 17th Avenue Dental Center for many years but recently, as a senior, have run into some problems with this clinic. It was not fully explained to me why a tooth had to be extracted, that it was a below the gum line decay and had no corresponding tooth below it. It was not until I went to a specialist that the extent of the decay was brought to my attention and this tooth was eventually extracted.. My enquiries to 17th Ave. Dental were dismissed with an email although I asked for an in person consultation. Since then I have gone to two different dentists and received free consultations followed by careful exams. I was advised that I had eight cavities that needed to be filled and have had maxed out my dental insurance this year having them treated and the extraction done. Why were the cavities not brought brought to my attention by 17th Avenue dental and taken care of previously? Why was the below the gum line decay not noticed on the molar and treated years ago? It made me wonder about the care I had been receiving all along. One star for the great service from the dental hygienists at 17 Ave. Dental and one star for Dr. Asaria for referring me to a specialist in regards to the root canal. However, I do not trust this dentist anymore. My husband will not go to 17th Ave. Dental due to past experiences there. Since leaving there I've found a wonderful dentist on the other side of town but I've had to add another dental policy and many visits to this new dentist to correct the neglect of the past experienced at 17 Ave. Dental. I did phone them as suggested but was only able to reach the front desk and was not able to speak directly to the dentist.

I would never recommend this 17th Avenue Dental Center clinic dentist to someone! I made an appointment with 17th Avenue Dental Center clinic for extracting two teeth ached. I couldn't sleep, I was eating difficult, toothache.... I arrived at the clinic 15 minutes before my appointment and I was seen like 45 minutes after. I paid $ 500 in advance because I'm not covered, and then I said well I want the extraction teeth that hurt. They brought me in the operating room did X-ray, and cleaned my teeth for 2 hours (other doctor told me that are not well cleaned) and then they said it's finished I must go. I felt steal, swindle and cheated cze, I still felt extremely sever pain I could not even speak, and I went to another clinic right way, I have explained to them what happened with Dr Assaria in 17th Avenue, that I ve just payed $ 500 for free. I was transferred to another specialist whom I payed $ 1,040 to remove both teeth which where hurting!

My 9yr old has always been great at the dentist, but a recent tooth infection and careless attempt to pull his tooth while infected (at a different clinic) had him so scared and full of anxiety even I was starting to panic wondering what am I going to do now? After 4 days of IV antibiotics I needed to find someone to pull his tooth. A friend told me how amazing Dr Kua is with kids so I decided to give him a try. I feel like I'm lucky to have found such an amazing person. My son was panicking and Dr Kua kept a steady hand and a calm voice, he was so incredibly patient, we have now been back two more times and today he left with a smile, I am relieved to see him get his confidence back. Thanks so much Dr Kua, I most definitely recommend this clinic. After what we went through I'll make the drive from anywhere in the city!!

Dentist and staff is really nice! Except for one of the staff that was helping me in the receptionist area named Susan I believe, she is really rude and hard to work with. I got fillings done my mouth was numb so I couldn't feel anything the day after I called in and she picked up, I was trying to tell her that it felt weird when I was flossing... usually they would just tell you to come into get it checked but she was trying to argue with me over the phone instead of just booking me in.. after she said all of those she even asked me what I wanted to do about it which doesn't make sense at all. There was a couple other bad encounters with her, overall the staff and dentist is super friendly except her. She really has to change her attitude, toward patients that come into this office that pays to get dental work done.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the service I received from Dr. Asaria and his team. Not only did they see me on a short notice to perform basically an emergency procedure but they did everything they could do to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Asaria is incredibly kind and was amazing with telling me exactly what he was doing and why since I have a bit of an aversion to doctor's offices. I came in with an 11/10 pain when I touched the affected tooth and left with almost no pain at all. I couldn't have gone another night without a medical intervention as the pain was so severe. As I write this a few hours since leaving the practice I am feeling much much more comfortable. Thank you to everyone who was so friendly and professional!

I’m very disappointed with this dental office I went in to get my upper partial plate fixed and he was pushing for me to have all upper teeth removed and a full denture but I insisted on having my plate repaired and a tooth fixed that had broken off when I returned the next day my plate no longer fit and I figured out why because the tooth that had broken off is crooked and up way to far in the gum making it totally impossible for me to eat or bite down with my plate so I need to remove my plate to eat. This was a total waste of my insurance and my money and I will not be going back there again I guess I will be searching for another dental office and checking around for prices so that I can get a partial upper plate that fits.

I have been going to 17 avenue Dental Center for many years now and the dentist, dental aids, and especially Miss Suzette are just amazing and caring people. Suzette takes great care of you and assures that whatever it is your going to have done will get done and in a timely manner. I have had a couple of emergencies where I was in pain and I was taken care of that day or the next. Even during the pandemic, I had a tooth ache and the dentist got me in to another place where I had a tooth removed. (I just wanted it gone) the next day! The dentist explains all that he will do while in the dentist chair, and he will do all he can to save your teeth. Highly recommended.

My regular dentist is this business however it's at their Macleod Tr office. I had a toothache that needed immediate attention and Dr. Asaria happen to be working at the 17th Avenue location. My experience here was the same positive experience as the Macleod Tr location. All the staff are friendly and provide clear details about each step of the process. Overall it was easy to get the appointment, get in, get the issue checked and get out with a plan for resolving the issue. By following the treatment plan the issue was resolved within the expected time frame. So grateful for Dr. Asaria and all the great people working with him.

Would NOT recommend Dr. Asaria. My husband went for an appointment first thing in the morning and he waited 30 minutes past his appointment to be seen. After fixing a chip on his molar he gave my husband a 'course of treatment' quote for $2034 for a root canal, retentive posts and acid etching. We went to another dentist after being referred by a friend who has now fixed the same tooth which only had 4 cavities for $360! We do NOT have coverage which Dr. Asaria was aware of, so procedures are paid out of pocket and to basically want $1700 more on a procedure that wasn't necessary is basically like stealing. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I would highly recommend this dentist. I have been scared to go to the dentist for about 10 years after see this one he happened me figure out what I needed to do to get myself eating better again. After having most of my teeth removed they have been there every step of the way. My husband was very happy with everything about this place and my son's love the child specialist. Yes you have to wait a bit cause sometimes they are busy but that is the price you pay for a good dentist. And the receptionists are so pleasant and happy. Seriously one of the best experiences me and my family have had in this city.

Dr. Asaria is awesome. He takes care our family's oral health w/ respect and commitment to best service. I know my family found the right dental office on our first visit. Kudos to all the friendly staffs - to mention Paula and Suzette who have been so helpful, patient, and accommodating. I just want to add as well from a long time costumers, i can't compare/ find such awesome receptionist. I am a working Mom and Suzette always go extra mile to be able to meet our family's schedule. Unbelievable service! Never had a better, more visibly noticeable cleaning in my life. Ever. They were able not only to help my daughter with her dental issues last minute, and on the spot, but they were able to get my entire family of 5 in on a walk in bases. Plus, the wonderful staff stayed a little later than closing time to be able to accommodate our families needs. I think I finally found a dentist office to call our dentist. Thank you again to the staff for being so kind, sweet and gentle with our family.

In all my years receiving services from different dental facilities this is by far my best experience I’ve had. The receptionists was so exceptional to my call and extended services. My visit to the dentist was amazing the dentist was so caring and top quality of care the atmosphere is also amazing I feel my Christmas present came early there’s no words to describe the care I received and I would highly recommend this specific dental services to all my family and friends.

I have been seeing Dr. Asaria for 10 years and his service continues to be impeccable. He and his team create an atmosphere of ease and, dare I say, even fun, for the client; you feel welcomed and well taken care of. He is not a "fleecer" like others. He's very careful to explain what's going on with your teeth and suggest solutions, without pressuring you into some expensive procedure. We are very satisfied with this practice and recommend it to our friends all the time.

Dr.Asaria and his team are fantastic! Dr.Asaria is knowledgeable, compassionate and recommends the best service that lasts. His front desk staff and dental technicians are wonderful, and always make you feel right at home. If I have had a dental emergency on a weekend, Dr.Asaria has always been able to call in a prescription or recommend a solution until he can see me in the office on Monday. I've had a few different dentists in my time, and Dr.Asaria is one of the best.

Exorbitant dental fees forced me to seek recommendations from VERY reliable sources for a reputable dentist who closely follows the Alberta dental fee guide. It led me to Dr. Asaria (17th Avenue Dental Centre). Dr. Asaria is not only one of the best in his field, he listens, explains, calms you throughout the process, and gives you his undivided attention. His office staff at both locations are very welcoming and accommodating. And no surprises on his fees!

Dr.Azaria and the Nurses here are absolutely wonderful, very friendly as well, so far I've been here about 3-4 times and each time there has been no pain, but say if you feel pain, just raise your left hand and they will immediately stop and ask you are you okay/would you like more numbing, and they will which is wonderful, i can promise that, as well as when the day i have kids i will be bringing them here. Easy guarantee.

- I absolutely love the staff here, I have been coming here since I was a little girl and I am now 29 years old. My daughters have been coming here since they were babies, they are now 9. The staff is truly so patient and kind, they make sure you are truly taken care of. Even when I had a dental emergency they were able to accommodate me and help instantly. I have always been apprehensive when going to the dentist.the staff here made my appointment easy and worry free. I have never been treated so kindly and calmly. Amazing service here. I was always afraid of the dentist and dental hygienists because they always judged my oral hygiene so harshly. The people that work here are incredibly sweet the ladies at the front desk always greet me by name the dentist and the dental hygienists are always so nice there is no judgement at all. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new dentist!

These guys are incredible! They made me feel extremely comfortable for my first time going to the dentist in a long time. I was originally scheduled for a checkup, but they gave me a cleaning and the start of putting in a crown, all in my first time there! Every time my partner and I come to the dentist, we always have such wonderful experiences with the staff. They treat us with the utmost care and tell us if there is anything we need to be concerned about. I personally have had 2 dentist since moving to Calgary; Crescent Heights before my partner and I got together, and now here at 17th Ave. Wonderful

This guy shd lose his licence paid 2600 for a crown and root cane little over 2 years ago. It broke off last night and after seeing a dentist today he claims there wasn't enough tooth to hold a crown. Now he's going to do an implant for 3200 sure wish this 17 ave dentist would of offered this. But I'm beginning to think his practice is greed driven. for

I enjoyed the staff and the care I was given. The customer service was excellent, the hygienists and dentists were kind and generous, but above all I was given premium and professional services. I've made this Dental Center my primary care facilitators, and strongly recommend all friends, families and associates to this establishment.

I have been a client for nearly 8 years now and I have no reason not to continue with 17th Avenue Dental Centre. The clinic could do with some updated videos though. I've memorized the dental videos that are playing during your appointment. have no complaints regarding dental care though and the experiences have largely been positive.

My family ( two adults four children) have been helped by 16 Ave dental for well over ten years - through all the teeth concerns, cleaning, extractions and the occasional tooth emergency. Each and every time the staff have been kind, courteous and never forgot our names! The dentistry work was always compete and thorough.

Top notch dental services. They explain clearly all the issues I have or will have in years to come. Work well with you to create a timeline to do the work at your schedule. Never push me to do any work. Cleanings and work as really painless as well. They can fit me in if I have an emergency. HIgh level of service here.

I am well taken care of every time I visit . Suzzette is great about helping me get appointments around my work schedule. Dr Asaria is thorough and explains step by step. Myself and my daughter have been using this dental centre for years and not once have I ran into an issue. They are flexible with bookings and I have often been accommodated within a couple days of calling to schedule. I’ve never felt like I couldn’t afford their services, and the staff are super friendly!

It is very clean and they got me in almost immediately when I had a bad toothache. I haven’t had any issues with any work that I got done. I love how friendly the staff is and how the dentist explains every procedure before actually doing it and makes sure you understand exactly what is being done.

I have feared the dentist for well over 25 years. Once Dr.Azaria spoke with me and made me feel comfortable coming in. I now go in every six months and we are working on saving my teeth and gums. Thank you for making my visits so easy on me. No anxiety at all now coming in!

Great experience with Dr. Madam! He took his time cleaning my teeth! He also found a piece of baby tooth that I guess was still under my gums. That tooth would always hurt and I had no idea why! He pulled it out in seconds and I didn’t feel a thing!

The oral surgeon broke a piece of my jaw off like a moron, now they won't reschedule an appointment to fix it, even though its a life or death situation, i've been having mini heart attacks each night, all they care about is money

My husband had all his wisdom teeth extracted, with No freezing. The dentist just ripped them right out. He screamed and scared people out of the clinic. And he was told to be quite when they were still working on his teeth.
