We found this company by chance via a Google search and what a great find it was. Mark came at the time agreed to look at a leak we had on our roof. He didn't mess about straight up the ladder onto the roof to check the roof for possible issues. He found the mortar joint cracked where the ridge tiles meet the chimney he showed me photos he had taken on his phone while on the roof. He even carried out the repair while he was here all for a very reasonable price. He is a really friendly guy and he went out of his way to help us out. This is the first time we used Mark from 1st class roofing but we will definitely use him from now on for any future work and recommend him to all of our friends and family

We hired Mark Nelson – 1st Class Roofing to rebuild half of our Chimney Stack, which was unstable. The price was very fair and Mark was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Within a few working days, Mark had arranged for scaffolding to be put up. The job was then completed the following 2 days, all whilst we were at work so didn’t have to take any time off. Pictures were sent showing the finished work from the roof line and the chimney now looks safe, secure and stable. We’re very happy with the work and would be happy to use Mark again for any roofing jobs.

Responded to query quickly, thorough assessment of the problem internally and externally, explained what he thought the issue was. Quote provided quickly and very reasonable. Able to do the work the next day, on time and reliable. Leak was solved. A few months down the line there has been some unsightly discolouration around where the work was done, Mark has explained it's likely a reaction between the mastic and bitumen, but has unfortunately not offered any suggestions to fix this this despite a number of messages asking for advice.

I called Mark following some work done by another builder which was not satisfactory . I was very impressed by Mark's fast response he called round to view the work within an hour. He did the job in the next few days. A whole new roof installed at a very competitive price and done quickly to a very high standard. I am more than pleased with the work and recommend Mark.

Mark and Lynn are two of the nicest people. I called Lynn initially looking for a couple of roof tiles and explained the situation we were facing. She was reassuring and said that her husband Mark can swing round to check it out. He did, and came back to fix it the next day. No mess, no fuss, genuinely good people who care about what they do. So glad I rang!

I can pretty much only endorse the other good reviews here. Mark came to sort out a problem with a downpipe from a property above. As well as the problem with the pipe, he checked out the roof above for obstructions. A thorough, competent, professional job, and he did not make a drama out of a crisis. First Class job from a First Class tradesman.

They came promptly (to replace ridge tiles, see photos) at a busy time when there was only a narrow time period to get the work done. .I had used this firm before to refelt a flat roof over a bay (see photos), as well as to replace slipping tiles in other areas. They were well equipped to fix a wide range of roof repairs,.

Mark replaced the felt on our summerhouse with something more suitable, that will last longer and doesn't leak (most importantly!) . Did a very good job - really pleased with his work. Very easy to deal with. Fair quote and quick turnaround. Very tidy worker as there was nothing to tidy up after.

Great service all round. No hidden costs, the final bill was as the estimate. The 2 man team worked well,professional and tidy. We had the advantage of seeing them at work on my neighbour's house so was confident in approaching them for our work. I have already recommended them to a friend.

Not sure how Mark is getting these reviews but I had to call him back for my flat roof he relayed just 1 1/2 years back. There is a problem of a major puddle but 'Mark' doesn't hunor his workmanship nor does he answer phone calls! Next stop, trading standards .. I'm so angry! …

Quick, trustworthy and reasonably priced. Mark fixed a roof leak for us last week. He was at our home a few hours after I first called, found the problem and fixed it in minutes. Definitely recommend him and will call him again for any roofing jobs in the future.

The whole experience was great. You were very responsive when we posted the job, came very quickly to do the job, completed the job the next morning. The work was done to a high standard and was very reasonably priced. We couldn't have been happier.

Happy to recommend, would use again. Before providing the quotation Mark Nelson went up a ladder and used a spirit level to assess the work and checked and tested the gutters when the work was completed.

Barry has been unresponsive to my calls to rectify the poor install of new gutters. I will now have to pay another company to install the correct size gutters correctly.

Quick service, great price. Turned up when they said, even though it had been snowing and was freezing. They were friendly and polite and would recommend for sure.

Called Mark at 4pm and he was here 9.30 the next day to fix a broken gutter and prevent further leaks, at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend
