Work up this morning to find we had been locked inside the house! Front Door was jammed shut, locks wouldn't turn and I had taken the door handle off to try and fix it. Called Mark and he was round within 1hr 30minutes to investigate the problem. 30 seconds after arriving, he knew what the problem was and was down to fixing it. Mark is a very friendly guy who is more than happy to talk you through what he is doing and why! Good experience to learn something about locks. He had all the parts in his van and the problem was fixed. He even cleaned down the door, oiled the internals and fixed an issue I had with the door rattling. Called to fix a back door lock - 2 1/2 hours later we had no door handle and advice to buy a new door as he couldn’t open it at all. Left the door handle in 4 pieces saying he’d need 3/4 hours to repair the door/lock (if it was possible). Called someone else who had the door open and all parts replaced within an hour. When I rang to discuss he claimed he’d done us a favour by only charging us £95 (which is apparently his hourly rate) and refused to admit any fault claiming he’d done the hard work Edit* The reason I had to contact my insurance was because of the recommendation to get a new door. I also never received the information requested. Cheers.

After partner had her handbag stolen while out that had keys and details of our home address, we got our locks changed for safety. Mark was here within 2 hours of calling. Understanding, professional and knowledgeable. Explained that we actually had the old style locks and showed us the difference between the one we had to the one we was getting. Rang 247 Locksmiths after getting locked out of my house. They answered straight away, were with me within 30 minutes and charged a really reasonable price. He managed to pick the lock (which was a very difficult locking mechanism on my composite door) rather than drilling and I was back in my house within the hour! Fantastic job and very pleased! We were quoted lots for a new door which we were trying to get to modernise the locks on.. They came, did an assessment showed us our options and did a fantastic job at the fraction of the price of a new door. Update: manufacturing fault on the locks, called the locksmith up and has come and replaced same day, free of charge as under warranty.

Mark came out recently to sort out our hard to open front door lock. A prompt visit and due to his honesty we discovered that after a lubricating clean, for now, we don't need to replace it, and it'll work for a while longer yet. Very refreshing to find a tradesperson happy to repair rather than replace.

Mortice lock failed to our utility room which meant we could no longer do any washing which is not ideal when you have children! Mark arrived promptly and regained entry, removed the broken lock and fitted a new higher quality lock for a reasonable price. All on a Sunday, could not recommend enough!

Mark came out to have a look at out stiff lock. When he looked at it he mentioned about trying to clean it rather than fit a new lock which we expected. This worked fine and saved a lot of money. I will certainly be using him for all our lock problems and recommending him to others.
