"Amazing little coffee shop"
The coffee is good but some of the staff (one of whom said it was his business) are atrociously rude. I just gently asked about whether they had considered swapping the plastic lids for the cups to compostable ones. The guy behind the counter was immediately on the defensive, first telling me they weren't a better option than plastic, then that they were too expensive and impossible to source anyway at the moment because of environmentalism "trending on social media", that 9 out of 10 people want plastic straws, and paper ones are also impossible to source... he finished up by telling me that I don't know enough about his business to criticise it, which I tried to make very clear I wasn't (by this stage I was completely taken aback and shocked), I said I was just making a constructive suggestion and didn't want to argue. He accused me of just being angry that he had said they don't accept laptops on the tables after 12, which was bizarre and unrelated, and not a policy I mind at all. It was all very strange and upsetting (enough that I've taken the time to write all this!). I would have liked to support that business as it is small and local, but that guy's attack was so unprovoked and nasty, not to mention that his attitude to environmental issues is really poor - I won't be back. Lots of other small businesses are doing their best to reduce their impacts and operate responsibly.
Firstly let say how much I enjoy the product in this fantastic local business. However my last visit was greatly disappointing and uncomfortable as the male associate (whom I presume is the manager) very abruptly shouted “No”!!! Across the shop when I simply asked if they have wifi. From this moment I felt that I had angered him. I was thinking that I might have caught him on a bad day but the more I have thought about it and decided to give feedback I feel i should not be treated this way as a customer. You have a fantastic product and the community are so supportive of you and your success but you can’t speak to people like this. I have therefor decided to take my business elsewhere where, perhaps you can learn some manners and customer service skills.
Update: Four months later came in again for a coffee.... service still awful. Staff really rude, all look like zombies, get really annoyed asking for small things (e.g. Can I please have some sugar in my coffee). The vibe in there is so tense and you can just tell all the staff can't wait to finish work. Coffee is alright but what the hell is with your staff being so grumpy and awful? Especially the guy with short brown hair. Mate.... perk up a bit bro?! The smallest request is the biggest inconvenience for you. Hate coming here bc of your staff.
Best coffee in the area, and a great place to sit when the sun's hitting the window. I've always really liked coming here, but on the last visit they'd started playing music, which was way too loud for the size of the place and way too aggy, indie rock playlist just didn't suit what i was there for anymore(coffee/food and reading). If they dropped that, it'd be 5* again, but maybe they can't risk people hanging about with one drink for too long.
Amazing little coffee shop. I visited for the first time yesterday and ordered an oat latte excellent taste and freshly baked goods. The following day I returned and again received excellent customer service from Dominic he remembered my order after only visiting once. I certainly appreciate the customer service and the quality of the coffee. Highly recommend 5*

For a small space it packs a punch, the hot drinks we had were great and the food delicious. Priced slightly on the premium side but I'd rather this than two snack brunches in a Costa. On a cooler and windy day everyone was in a jumper or coat what with the door being propped open, and the scaffolding set up in the doorway made it hard to spot the entrance. Definitely worth considering when in the area.
There's a reason why it's called 46b Espresso Hut - it's a tiny, intimate space. My coffee tasted a little burnt sadly. After posting my review on Instagram, the owners invited me to come back so that they could show me how they made their coffee. I really appreciate it when business owners try hard to understand their customers so kudos to them but for me it is a long way to go for a coffee!
Do not go if you like sugar in your coffee, unless you want to be judged for requesting it. Should have a sign on the door saying “gets offended if you ask for sugar”. The server muttered under his breath just loud enough for me to hear and really wasn’t the start to the day I needed!

A perfect example of hipster apathy and arrogance. It is a great little cafe with an outside sitting area, and interesting clientele. However the staff are tragic, passive aggressive, deserving and noticeably indifferent. We had coffee, fresh orange and a pastry, their product is unnecessarily expensive.
Great coffee, friendly staff. One of my favourite places to visit for a perfect expesso coffee and a little lunch time bite. This café is tiny, full of amazing indoor plants...cozy too...and if you don't mind sharing, there's always space. Great cakes too. Thanks guys, keep up the good work …
Little gem of a coffee place. Great coffee, friendly staff and when I was there they had a great playlist going. There's not a lot of seats though so just be prepared for that. (ps. girlfriend thought coffee was too strong so if you're into weak coffee maybe let the barista know)
Probably the best coffee on Chatsworth Road. Small place but I can usually find a seat. The staff are friendly (with eye contact and everything) and the wait is rarely long. Only downside was the croissants (which I was assured were baked same day) didn't seem so fresh.
The coffee there is really good (barista really stressed you can see this even with your eyes shut) But unfortunately the owner (lady) is soooo rude to the employee and even to her customers ! You can feel bad vibes there My last coffee from this place
I really like the espresso hut and make sure I visit if I'm in the area. Staff are very friendly and coffee and food are great. I can't say that I am keen on the clientele at times. Table hogs! Anyway, ask for the espresso you will not be disappointed.
The best decaf flat white I've had in London so far! The barista was very skilled :) I tasted their brownie: very morish, the perfect consistency of gooiness to firm, more on the gooey side but done right! A delight for any brownie lover
Very courteous staff. Friendly and pleasant. They make a wicked latte not too strong like other working men cafes and a very clean establishment. I would definitely visit again and recommend friends. Very nice experience tbh.
Small hipster coffee place, everyone inside looks v cool - the coffee is amazing - the breakfast is abit overpriced for what it is but properly in-keeping with the area - v friendly staff - seating is limited
Excellent coffee and food, nice relaxing atmosphere. Great espresso place by the hospital.

Lovely food and coffee. It suffers from being such a small premises and difficult seating. It would be great if they put a box hedge area outside to separate you from the pediestrian traffic a bit better.
Oh I loved this place and the way they are serving good coffee. A delicious sweet fruity espresso made by an experienced barista plus a home made bread and butter muffin filled with apple and jam - …
Great coffee, awesome little place tucked between buildings. Seating inside and out. Wifi and friendly staff. Minus one star for pricey food, toasted sandwiches (£5). Otherwise fantastic.
Tiny little neighbourhood gem. Best turermic latte I have had for ages. Coffee beans on the sour note so best with milk. If you love a toasted sandwich then you might want to drop in now!
Nice little cafe, always busy and struggle to get a seat. The coffee however is absolutely top notch. Worth a take out if nothing else, with some good people watching while you wait.
Good coffee, good tea... Food is awesome too. Maybe the only thing is that staff is not the friendliest one but still a really good place to come and enjoy good stuff. …
The staff were arrogant and rude and I felt really unwelcome. The plus side is that it's made me look for better options - of which there are many further up Chatsworth Rd.
Love this place .. I always get an espresso laden cuddle after any trip to Homerton hospital. As a fellow plant and coffee lover I wish this place was my local
Tiny coffee shop with the sweetest staff (they actually smile) . Yummy toasty and tea. I came for the coffee but my body had enough caffeine for the day. …
Lovely little cafe, the fit out is quirky but calm and makes the most of what's left of original features. Well done guys. Oh and the flat white was spot on.
The coffee is great! We got a cappuccino, an espresso and a macchiato and all were tasty!! This is a great little place with polite and professional staff!!
They serve the best coffee I've ever tasted! And have nice milk alternatives like oatmilk & soya. The Staff are super friendly when you become a local :-)
delicious macchiato, and a fantastic toasty in a nice and cosy shop near Chatsworth road. My favourite place for lunch for years. Highly reccomandable.
Was there on 5 dec at 10:30. Bad attitude (super unfriendly man), bad service, and overpriced. Coffee ok, food terrible. Oh, and no wifi More
Fantastic coffee and great stuff. Good selection of gluten free sweet treats (just beware cross-contamination if you're very sensitive)
Nice coffee, the staff look like zombies. Tried speaking to a nice woman and was growled at by which seems to be the owner (woman).
Friendly staff and good tasting coffee! Few minutes from Homerton station, so a good place to grab a coffee before going to work.
The coffee is really good, but the manager was really rude with the employees and I felt really bad. I am not coming back again.
Fantastic hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. Do a mean flat white and have really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend a visit!
Good coffee. That’s the only reason I come here. Very small so if you’re looking for comfort that is probably not for you
If you are obsessed with your morning espresso like me, you gotta save this spot for one of your go to places on the map
Lovely little coffee place in Homerton. Good coffee and amazing grilled sandwiches. Dog friendly!
Fabulous. Best coffee in the area by a mile. The couple who run it are also charming.
Good quality coffee, nice nibbles which can be taken away and lovely friendly staff.
Intimate and friendly cafe a real hidden gem. The square mile coffee is outstanding
Very cute little place. One of the best soya cappuccinos I've ever had in London.
Great coffee nice interior. Most staff very friendly (especially the girls)
Excellent coffee. Excellent service. Excellent food. Nothing less than 5*.
Stopped here after a long cycle. Staff were friendly and coffee was great!
They serve square mile coffee and the staff is super friendly. Great spot!
Overpriced, lazy coffee. Plenty of great ones further down the road.
Was closed when I got there even though it said they would be open.
Great coffee friendly service tasty toasted sandwiches and salads
Great coffee. Good toasties and cakes. Super friendly staff
Quiet place where you can drink delicious coffee
Great coffee, cosy place and friendly staff.
