DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, I, DR. C. HURBANS AND MY SPOUSE DR R SOOKHAYI WILL ELABORATE ON THIS TIMEOUSLY. THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN CALL THEMSELVES ROOF SPECIALISTS, THIS IS OUR OPINION AS MEDICAL SPECIALISTS... Mr. Stephan, in response, you run a roofing specialist company-true? A roof specialist came to my residence and assessed the roof for leaks and apparently found the fault, a quote of just over R10000 was issued for the repairs which was duly paid. After about two weeks Hermann came to the home to repair said leaks and faults, showing me pictures of the roof and stating that it is in excellent condition. He arrived at 09h50 and left at 12h13. The very few days thereafter we had a slight downpour and to my astonishment the roof was leaking even more than before. I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR SPOKEN TO YOU, SO I CALLED HERMANN (THE PERSON THAT " FIXED" THE ROOF, SHOWING HIM PICTURES OF THE ROOF LEAK, HE ARRIVED AT THE RESIDENCE ( FOR THE THIRD TIME ) AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE ENTIRE ROOF TILES NEED REMOVAL AND A NEW SISILALATION BE INSTALLED AT A QUOTE OF R 87175.80 AND THAT HE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING OTHERWISE !!!. He insisted that the underlay was the problem and was apparently old, I DID NOT AGREE WITH THIS COS IT DOES NOT TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE OUT THAT THE ROOF TILES WOULD BE THE FIRST LAYER OF PROTECTION AND THE UNDERLAY A SECOND LAYER IN CASE OF A LEAK FROM THE TILES. He also told me that the company could NOT offer me any guarantee for his work done as some work was done on the roof previously and he would only give me the afore-mentioned if he did the entire roof. I have this entire " conversation" on media which will be posted below. THE ASTONISHING PART IS THAT INSTEAD OF AT LEAST BENDING DOWN AND FEELING UNDER THE FLASHING , HERMANN WOULD HAVE REALISED THAT THE FLASHING HAD FLATTENED ALLOWING WATER TO FREELY FLOW RIGHT UNDER THE ROOF TILES AND BETWEEN THE UNDERLAY, THUS THE SEVERE LEAK, INSTEAD HE WAS QUITE HAPPY STANDING ON THE ROOF TO TAKE PICS WITH HIS PHONE TO GET THE AREA METERAGE IN ORDER TO QUOTE ME !!! This problem has been fixed for a mere R1750 and there is not a drop off water coming through.WHAT IRKS ME IS THAT WHEN I SENT THE COMPLAINT TO HERMANN INFORMING HIM OF THE ACTUAL PROBLEM AND IT'S RESOLUTION, I IMMEDIATELY GET AN EMAIL FROM YOUR COMPANY WITH A LETTER OF GUARANTEE ??- TO WHICH HERMANN SAID WAS NOT POSSIBLE EARLIER?? THIS LEADS ME TO THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE COMPANY IS ONLY INTERESTED IN REPLACING GOOD ROOFS AND PROFITING FROM CONSUMERS THAT DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND THE INTRICICIES OF ROOF'S, ETC, WHICH COULD READ AS MONEY-CENTRIC ND FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR - DISAGREE OR NOT... PLEASE NOTE FROM YOUR RESPONSE TO ME THAT I DO NOT AND HAVE NOT DEALT WITH YOU AT ALL, I DID CALL HERMANN THE " MAN IN CHARGE " IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE ROOF WAS STILL LEAKING- THIS WAS ON THE 16TH OF MARCH 2018- TO WHICH HE INFORMED ME THAT HE WILL GET BACK TO THE OFFICE ON MONDAY AND SORT OUT A NEW QUOTE FOR ME FOR FURTHER "REPAIRS", WHICH NEVER CAME TO FRUITION UNTIL I SENT HIM THE MESSAGE YESTERDAY 27 MARCH 2018 !!! MR. STEPHAN, AS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY I FEEL THAT YOU SHOULD PLAY A MORE ACTIVE ROLE AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE SENDING PEOPLE OUT TO EXAMINE ROOF'S WHO ARE PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED , NOT PEOPLE THAT JUST WANT TO REPLACE STUFF THAT NEEDS NOT TO BE REPLACED AT EXORBITANT COSTS TO PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY AND TRUST THE " ROOFING SPECIALISTS " THEY CALL. AS WELL AS COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES AS TO REPEAT FAULTS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED AS THERE WAS NO MENTION OF YOU AT ANY STAGE IN THIS SITUATION, EVERYTHING WAS " HANDLED, ASSESSED, ADVICE AND QUOTATION FOR APPROX. R90000.00 BY HERMANN WITH NO MENTION OF YOU, SO DO NOT ASK ME WHY I POST A GOOGLE REVIEW WITHOUT INFORMING YOU , NEITHER WAS I ADVISED TO CONTACT YOU!! . THE MATTER IS BEING TAKEN UP LEGALLY AS MENTIONED TO HERMANN AS I HAD GIVEN HIM UNTIL TODAY TO REFUND THE FUNDS PAID IN VAIN TO YOUR COMPANY. HE INSISTED THAT HE CANNOT GUARANTEE UNTIL HE DOES THE ENTIRE ROOF FOR R87175.90 !!!!

5 star waterproofing Pinetown Most shocking experience * Five star Waterproofing Stefan came to my house to assess the roof above my new uninstalled kitchen that was leaking. I was in the process of installing a brand new kitchen so I required the leak to be fixed 1st. While chatting to Stefan on sight for the waterproof I advised him I want the entire slab to be waterproofed not only the leak fixed , and I clearly showed him the spot where it was leaking and the clear visible damage. The kitchen was then installed. When the next rain came the same area that was suppose to be fixed, leaked, completely damaging the brand new cupboards that was installed in that area When I called Five star roofing to tell them what happened and how is this possible their excuse was that I told them to waterproof the entire slab and not fix the leak ( have you ever heard of a company director give you Answer like this ?) according to him the leak is under the same slab but the water is coming from the adjacent Ceeling , so they did nit fix that they just waterproofed the slab and the leak can continue but that was not their focus of the job , this answer deserves a Oscar award . I had to call another company (Wilcote) to re-fix the leak and pay R30000 to repair my cupboard. Don’t use this company, you have to tell them how to do their job because they have zero common sense.

Hi Stefan google is not allowing me to reply on my own profile (Nur4). “YOU” came to see the Job before the kitchen was installed “YOU” where requested by me to fix the leak as well as redo the entire slab as the kitchen cost 30x more than the waterproofing so I wanted to redo new waterproofing on the full slab as well before fitting the kitchen in. After you were paid in full and the rain came you were called back by me to see the damage “ YOU “ looked me in the face and said I wanted the slab waterproofed not the leak fixed which drips into my kitchen “ You have e mails on your computer from me requesting you to come have a look @ the damage. You are on camera coming to my yard and I used your company as we thought you are reputable Company. You made it clear that you are not responsible for the damage because I told you to waterproof the full slab only ( AND DO NOT FIX THE LEAK which Is under the same slab you waterproofed ) ,that was your response to my face while you where here . And below your reply on google review is that you totally unaware and I did not talk to you.

HI All I had to get a company to come and replace the battens and fit underlay to my house and garage. I also requested that they must vacuum out the ceilings to get rid of years of sand and dirt. I contacted 2 company's the first said sorry we do not do the vacuuming of the ceilings so that one was off my list. Second one on my list was 5Star Roofing & Waterproofing Stefan came around after hours to do the assessment and the next day I got the quotation. I accepted the quotation and payed the deposit. The following Monday his team was at my house and started the job. It took a bit longer than said but this was due to bad weather which we could not do anything about. The work was completed and I am happy that I got Stefan and his team to come and do the work. For the past few years Been having major problems with non stop leaking roof. Amazing customer service from the team led by supervisor Warrant Treated me with respect and represented company very well. Very efficient, professional, punctual with excellent work ethics. Very professional company. I have a Spanish style house that had a roof that made no sense at all. Stefan and crew was very quick with the quote. Once we decided to go ahead, they came through and did an excellent job. They removed entire roof, added an overhang to modernize the entire house look. All broken tiles was replaced by them, They were at the house for a total of 3 days to do entire roof. I am getting them back to do garage roof as well. Well done guys keep up the good work.

After years of hassels with our slate roof we decided to remove the slate entirely and replace it with cement tiles. A huge job you would think but 5 Star Roofing came to our rescue and in 2 weeks took off the entire roof and relaid it with Double Roman tiles. 5 Star Roofing recently renovated the entire roof of my house - removed old battens and under-tile membrane and replaced with new. The work was carried out over 4 days. At the end of each days work, the staff on site ensured all rubble was removed and kept my yard neat and tidy. We contacted 5 Star after our a previous contractor made a royal mess of the roof on our newly extended living area. Stephan was extremely helpful and patient, despite the many delays from our side. Stephan and team repaired a flat roof for me in March 2023. They had to provide a run off which required them to refloat the flat roof and finish with a torch on system.
