Well, unfortunately, i never actually boarded the greyhound bus, as it was over 7 hours late. i ended up taking an airplane after waiting at the terminal from 930am-4pm for a bus that was supposed to depart at 1020am. i am now waiting on a refund for my ticket after jumping through a ridiculous number of hoops. i was told that the bus was lost, they (both terminal employees and customer service) had no clue where it was or how much longer it would be, and no way to track it, and no contact with the driver, but this was somehow not the company's fault, so i was originally told that a refund would not be provided. after spending over an hour on the phone with customer service i was informed that i could get my ticket refunded by mailing it to a p.o. box in Texas and someone may or may not get back to me in 6-8 weeks. The employees at this terminal attempted politeness but were utterly disinterested and uncaring about the ridiculous situation that i, and appx. 40 other passengers, we in. In addition, this is not only the smallest greyhound station I have ever been in (pretty ridiculous considering the size of Seattle) but also the dirtiest. Restroom floor was covered in urine and entirely unstocked. I wish I could give both this company and this location 0 stars.
I was riding the bus from Olympia to Salt Lake City--I had to ride on 5 busses. We left Olympia at 2:15 a.m. We got to Seattle at 3:33 a.m. We were dumped like trash by the terminal. Inside the terminal I saw two vending machines, restrooms and chairs to sit in as well as a board displaying information. On the door, the time the terminal was supposed to open was at 3:30 a.m. It was locked. I had to wait until 8:45 a.m. for my second of 5 busses. There were no restrooms. Even a Port-a-Potti would have been nice. This was a filthy place in a rough part of Seattle. I wouldn't want to be there in daylight. We're talking 5 and 6 hours of not using a restroom. I attempted to call Greyhound to request someone come and open up the terminal. All I could get were recordings. Some of the drivers who came by to pick up people said they couldn't find people to work at the terminal. In that case, please use the services of Kelly, Olsten, Manpower, Adecco, etc. I've taken Greyhound in the past and was treated better than this. I guess Greyhound, like Amtrak doesn't have competition, so they can treat their customers this way.
No one knows what to do and where and when to get on the bus. When we came in there was just a huge confused crowd and everyone was nervous because there there is no information and no one to ask as well. The problem is they work on first come - first serve basis, so if you don't get there earlier you might have to take the next bus which might be the next day. So being in a huge crowd 10 minutes before departure makes everyone nervous. ~5 minutes before departure a guy from greyhound jumped on a bench and screamed out where we have to go. Since there is was no structured line the ruder you are the more chances you have to get on the bus. The ride was fine though.
Terrible; bus showed up two hours late with no explanation and no apology. Staff had no clue as to what was going on either and apparently couldn't get any information until 10 minutes before the bus finally showed up. Staff are also incompetent/can't read; after looking at my ticket, I was told to get on a bus going in a completely different direction. Bus was nothing to be proud of and the wifi didn't work. There isn't a single thing that I can say that was positive about this experience. They don't deserve even one star, I won't be using Greyhound again
Security guard and the information desk were unhelpful and outright rude to the point of almost cancelling a long-planned and confirmed trip. The information desk tried to charge significantly more money than was agreed upon and confirmed, the guard asked me to move my car from a 15 minute space after 5 minutes of being there (claiming I had been there longer), and the staff as a whole were combative and lacking in any customer service. If you are planning a Greyhound trip, you would be much better off and safer using another location.
Don't even think about using Greyhound because if you ever have to depend on customer service be prepared to be disappointed. Made numerous attempts to help my wife get home after I 90 was closed due to a fatality and had to return to Seattle. Also the terminal is in an area that you will need to arm yourself and put body armor on.
It's a pit. A nasty disgusting pit. Unlike the Portland station, there are no lockers, few places to sit, the place smells like urine, no vending, no close by mini-marts, obnoxious employees... Seriously, avoid Seattle Greyhound or take the train. Good grief, what a surrealistic apocalyptic experience.
Bus was delayed for an hour before the staff let us know it was going to be delayed for another hour. Staff also did nothing to prevent the local "characters" from harassing customers.
Everyone here is being super over-dramatic. What did you expect? There is a roof and a bathroom, the buses show up there, and you can buy tickets at the counter. It's a bus station.
This place is nasty its not clean it smells like urine ewwww and does not have enough seating to wait for your bus! Ill try Amtrak next time.... …
The passenger entrance is right next to train tracks, not on 6th. It's West of 6th about 100-200 feet from the corner
...interesting experiences with people here... but it was comfortable
The securities were profiling on me and kept following me.
