Leaving two stars, at least on the surface level, they were friendly and easy to work with. However, after looking over all of our furniture and the condition of our new home post-movers, I recommend exploring other moving options. They did not bring a big enough truck to accommodate all items needing to be moved. This was even after a virtual walkthrough of the previous house and discussing all the things that were a part of the move. If this is their largest truck, they cannot move a 3-bedroom home. This forced hours of extra time for me to move the items they could not accommodate. On the day and days after the move, it became apparent that adequate attention was not taken to ensure the furniture and the new home were handled with care. This includes edges ripped off furniture; walls and doorways dinged and scraped; and scratches in the floor. All of this is on a freshly renovated home that will now require more significant cost to repair from damages from the move. Fully acknowledging that “things happen” when you move, but when it is multiple items and parts of the home, that is closer to negligence. Also, during our initial conversation, they stated that they use material to protect the floors when moving. They did not do this at the previous home and only when I explicitly requested it at the new house. Upon checking out and receiving our final bill, we were charged for time the crew was not working as they took an extended lunch break. In a follow-up conversation with the company, I was told this would be rectified and receive an updated invoice. At this point, I have not received any such information. Lastly, the entire day, the cabin of the moving truck reeked of weed. Which in part may explain the carelessness of the move. The team should not be high while on the clock. I went with this company as they are locally owned and came a couple hundred dollars under the other two companies I received quotes from. However, I will now be paying far more in costs to make repairs for their negligence. I recommend exploring other options.

I contacted 6th Man Movers a couple of months prior to my move for a quote (based on Google reviews). They called me and scheduled a video walk through of my two bedroom apartment. During the video walk through, every room was looked at in detail- every closet opened, every cabinet, every room was assessed. The quote also included packing and moving labor, as well as supplies (boxes, tape, etc). The quote also estimated 2 men for 6.75 hours. On the day of the move, the two men show up with 4 boxes and a roll of tape. Fourteen hours later, a broken bowl, 4 broken wine glasses, 4 broken Balsam Hill ornaments (that were in a storage box and labeled "FRAGILE DO NOT STACK), and black liquid poured down the front of a $350 Balsam Hill ornament storage trolley. Then, after all of this, they give me the final cost of the move which was THREE times the original quote. $5,000 for a move of a small two bedroom apartment 10 miles across town. I understand that quotes for things like moving are fluid, as things change. But for a quote to go from $1700 to $5000 is uncalled for. The next day, Ops did reach out to me and apologize by taking off $1050 off my final bill. The kicker was at the end of the phone call the gentleman says "I understand what you experienced yesterday was not white glove service, but if you will give us a 5-star review on Google, we will enter your name in a drawing to get an additional $1000 off your bill." I am assuming this is why I saw such great reviews when looking to book a mover. Please beware of this- I would not recommend this company for moving. Moving is stressful enough without having budgeting issues on top of other moving expenses than for a move to last until after 11 at night and cost roughly $5,000.

Not professional at all. The movers were very aggressive and they intentionally make the move take longer. I live in an apartment and I ordered a moving service on 5/21 from midtown to another apartment in midtown. Upon arrival, it took the two movers 20 mins to "grab the tools" from their truck downstairs. During the process of moving, one of the movers kept staring at me in a very passive and aggressive manner and even asked me if I was "micro managing" him. Furthermore, it took the two movers 30 mins trying to figure out how to disassemble my bed. The bed ended up not being moved and it had to be discarded later as a result. When we arrived at the new apartment, the same mover who previously kept staring at me asked me to move my TV. His reason was "he's afriad that he's going to drop it." I don't know if it's a threat or something, but I had to move it myself in case he was going damage my property. Also, it turns out the bottom of my sofa was damaged while being move because the movers held onto the part that's very fragile. Overall, the service was beyond unsatisfactory. I contacted 6th man movers' office in the following week, and I was told the operations team will contact me the next day. I waited a month and half and I got 0 response. I don't understand why there are so many good reviews. I will never use this company ever again.

We just used 6th Man to move us from Nashville to Minneapolis. The guys at 6th man were extremely professional and on top of things, especially David!! He kept us updated with texts as he drove our furniture from state to state. Our one con, and why we can’t give 5 stars, is because with cross-state moves, 6th man will contract out the unloading portion of the move to a 3rd party company. And this 3rd party company was so bad, they had no care for our house our our furniture. They damaged our trim and our walls. Thankfully David stepped up and helped take charge, and made sure to oversee and essentially babysit this other crew. 6th man told us they would cover fixing the damage so hopefully they keep their word. We would recommend 6th man for local moves around Nashville but not out of state moves. 6th man, next time bite the bullet and pay to send more than one guy for a cross-state move. Don’t contract out to a company you can’t stand behind.

Recently moved from Nashville to New York. They had such excellent reviews on google we were so confident they would be great, however they arrived over an hour and a half later than the arrival window they gave us and could not be reached during that time, we thought the truck had crashed or there was a major accident but it turns out the team in charge of our truck just wasn’t answering the phone. When our furniture was finally delivered, every single piece of furniture had a major dent in the wood or scratch; from our leather couch, media stand, kitchen island stools, toy storage units and dresser, all of them were damaged. We understand of course that things can be damaged in a long move, but this was absolutely everything we own. We were beyond disappointed in this company and I hope this review saves another family the stress and sincere disappointment we had with them.

These guys are great! Kevon and Charles went into a confusing situation that I was trying to arrange from out of state, asked all the questions they needed to until they could go from there, and then did a wonderful job. They moved everything out of my mother's place, taking some of it to her new place, and putting the rest in storage. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is that when we opened the boxes we found everything haphazardly piled in them and a couple broken dishes, but to be fair I did tell them I was not particular about any of this stuff, and the few things I specified needed special treatment arrived in perfect shape. They did everything exactly as I asked, and were finished way faster than I expected. I don't know what I'd have done without them.

Called 6th Man short notice to move a piano from Nashville to another city in TN, after it became apparent the company I had scheduled to move the rest of house would not be able to handle this delicate piece with skill and knowledge. Could not have been happier with the two individuals (Markinston & Charles) who arrived early and expertly disassembled, transported and reassembled the piano. I wish I had used them to move the rest of my house!!! Seriously, do not use anyone else in Nashville if you are seeking professional movers. I even received a call from the 6th Man team post move asking about my experience. Way different service and care than other movers.

Absolutely the best moving experience ever!!! Our movers Dallas and Tremaine crushed it out of the park! They both made our move so simple and easy. We recently moved from Chicago to Tennessee, and finding good movers was one of the most stressful parts. We chose 6th man movers because they came highly recommended, did not require us to share space with others, the service team was responsive, and they were full service (didn’t want a do it yourself move). We had a great experience overall. The movers were prompt, friendly, hard working, handled our stuff with care, and called out where they might have accidentally bumped a wall. These professionals were also incredibly helpful as they constantly asked us if there was more that they could do. I’d highly recommend them.

My experience was great. I found out at the last minute about my move-in date. The guy on the phone was wonderful at customer service. I had spoken to three other companies that were a little bit cheaper, but the customer service was excellent. He made me feel calm about the situation, and the gentleman they sent to the house to do the move was very polite. They handled my items with Care, not just throwing their items on the truck. It’s been seven years since I moved, and no family other than my children to help the team was fantastic. It was an excellent experience for someone who had received their keys a day before.

I used 6th man for a crosstown move and I couldn’t recommend them enough. I am always anxious about moving but their attention to detail leading up to the date gave me peace of mind. Kevon and Tremaine were on time and easily navigated to the loading dock. They knocked out the load in in record time. Once we got to the load out spot they were happy to move existing furniture to make space for the new pieces. They were careful not to leave any damage and are just really nice guys! I am so grateful for 6th Man for making what is typically a daunting task so easy!

Couldn't be happier with our recent move from Nashville to Florida. The estimators were great, the operations people accommodated our schedule, and finally, the movers T and Gathan, worked non-stop on the load and unload of our belongings. Every piece of furniture was plastic wrapped and the fragile artwork and such were paper wrapped and plastic wrapped. Blanket wrapping was not allowed on the interstate move, nor were dollies to unload. That said, they did the best they could under the circumstances. The price was competitive. Highly recommend!

Using 6th Man Movers for my local move was a great decision. Greg, my coordinator, helped me on the front end lining up the team and ensuring I was ready come moving day. My crew, Harley and Marquez, took great care to protect my stuff from loading the truck to unloading, assembly furniture, and placing items where I needed them to be placed. Nothing was broken or damaged and the team even accommodated my request to load some items in a very orderly fashion in my new attic. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommended this company.

In what has been a hard move for me, it was just an absolute miracle and pleasure to have hired 6th Man Movers. I am not kidding. From Eric and the office, to my excellent movers Brent and Luis, who were simply awesome from beginning to end, the big move part of this life change for me was just excellent. I did a good bit of research in picking a local moving company that I could trust to handle a simple home - to - home move in Nashville. I have coordinated dozens of moves professionally and personally in my life, and my experience with this company was the worst to date. I've paid moving companies less than half this company's rate with far better service. For this price, with the level of unprofessionalism I experienced, I would personally prefer to move myself (or use any other moving company) than consider using them again.

We had never hired movers before, so this was a whole new experience for us! We had a local move and got several quotes on the front end- 6th man offered to match price of any lower quotes we received. We had to end up moving dates around last minute due to a closing delay on our new home and the flexibility and grace we were met with from this company was unmatched. We would use them again in a heartbeat. Movers were on time and they worked so fast I was really shocked. 10/10 recommend !

Great Moving experience. Both the guys who came to do our move were very polite and treated us well. Upon arriving at our home (moving from), they did a walk through to see all the items being moved then carefully wrapped and packaged each item before moving. Then once at new home they did the same confirming which items went where. They unwrapped everything and even set up the furniture for us. This was a great experience and would recommend them to others in their move as well.

Mark and Davey were on time and handled all of our items with great care. We had lots of bulky furniture but they packed it all carefully and made sure everything arrived safely. They were friendly and easy to work with! The experience was seamless from start to finish, from getting a prompt estimate and having questions answered quickly after I inquired to following up with us after the move to make sure things went well, they really seem to care about doing the job right.

Every aspect of our local move went smoothly. Communication prior to the move was timely, specific and helpful. This continued throughout our move. The crew, David, Veto and Jaron, were professional, good natured, and took good care of our household goods. They navigated a tricky unloading of heavy wood working equipment with great care and good humor. All of our furniture arrived in our new home as it departed from our old home. Excellent experience the whole way around.

I would highly recommend this moving company. My first contact at 6th Man Movers was with Greg, who was very professional, efficient, and friendly. From there, the packing and loading was done with great care by Charles and Maleik and a third person whose name I don't have (sorry.) The unloading went quickly and smoothly, and all of our items arrived in great shape. Charles and Maleik were a delight to work with and fun to chat with. Excellent experience!

Incredible moving experience. Moved locally within Nashville and the team at 6th man movers was extremely communicative and thoughtful throughout the entire move. I showed them the house via a video call, and they gave me as estimate that was dead on. Movers were efficient, patient when we changed our mind about furniture placement, and nothing was damaged, including a 100+ pound 8ft glass dining room table. Could not recommend more highly. Excellent experience from beginning to end with Dallas and Luis. They had my best interests in mind and were thoughtful in knowing I had more to pack in the POD after they left and set it up for me to do that. Very conscientious and expert in packing so items will shift as little as possible in the storage container during transit. Experienced, kind, good-humored, polite, all-around great service and kept right to my time/$$ limit.

We have moved many times on our own before and we decided to try hiring movers for the first time. 6th Man Movers was definitely worth it! We were very happy to not have to deal with renting a truck or getting supplies and equipment. Mark & Sam were fantastic. They came right around the middle of the 8-10am arrival window, the entire process was very smooth, and no damage was done whatsoever to any of my belongings. I was initially quoted something like 5 hrs to move from one apartment to another (which I already expected was a gross overestimate), and they got the job done in about 2 hrs 15 min. They're super efficient and worth every single penny!

After my last not so great moving experience with another company I was nervous going into this move but Veto & Tremaine quickly put my mind at ease. They were kind and I truly feel they went over and above to make sure I had a great moving experience. They worked fast to get me into my 2- 2.5 hr time frame that I requested and even bought me breakfast. I will absolutely be recommending this company to everyone I know.

Worth every penny! On the front end, my husband set everything up and chose this company over others because of their quick and excellent communication. We had a great experience with 6th Man Movers. Tanner and Trey were on time and very careful wrapping and moving our furniture. Big pieces were disassembled and reassembled. They brought plenty of furniture pads and shrinkwrap. The time estimate for our move was accurate as well; we were quoted 4-6 hrs and the move took them exactly 4 even with a one-story walk-up apt. I would definitely recommend their services.

First of all, I appreciate how they worked with me to arrive when it was convenient for use because of our closing. The communication was excellent from start to finish. 6th Man Movers? They're the magical unicorns of the moving world! With the grace of a ballet dancer and the energy of a toddler on a sugar rush, they made my move feel like a breeze. These guys are awesome. They’re communicative, reliable, kind, and quick. It was absolutely down pouring when they helped us move, and they still worked efficiently with a smile. They generously went out of their way to put things where we wanted them when we would have been totally satisfied to have it in one big pile! Cannot recommend enough.

We used 6th man to move our dau gutters apartment in Nashville. We had a 2 man team and they were excellen. There were several obstacles for them to overcome (elevator issue, parking issue) but they maintained a great attitude and got the job done intimate and on estimate. We would definitely use them again.

Super communicative, smooth loading and unloading, and friendly service from Mark and Jay! They handled my belongings with care including wrapping and covering the big pieces so that they stayed safe in the truck. They moved fast and efficiently and even dropped the boxes in the correct rooms!

These guys did an amazing job. Friendly, personable, just great guys. Best price in town even though I had to move an hour away. These guys blew it out of the park for me. And only took about 4 hours all together.
