I wanted to like this place. It seemed amazing. But it was a total waste of time and money. I saw mango creme brulee cake advertised and I was on my way in a heartbeat. I love mango everything. The atmosphere/service was nice, and it was impressive to walk in to. But that's honestly the only good thing about it. We ordered 4 items for 3 people and we all tried everything. ~Mango creme brulee cake - Awful. I mostly finished it solely so it wouldnt be trashed, but it was not worth anything. No flavor. Tasted like plastic and regret. ~Mango delight - Beyond awful. This went to the trash. Even my kids wouldn't eat more than one bite. I tried 2 bites because I thought there was no way it was really THAT bad, but it was. ~Deluxe strawberry cream cake - Barely mediocre. Tasted like plastic too, but a tad better than the mango. Icing has no flavor at all. It's completely pointless. ~Chocolate mousse - This was the only item that hit "okay" level. But there was also nothing special about it. It was the worst of all chocolate mousses I've ever had, but it was not BAD necessarily. Just pointless, again. Chocolate mousse from anywhere else would be preferable, or make your own. It's ridiculously easy, and I can 99.9% guarantee it'll turn out better than this. Save your time, your money, and your hopes and dreams of thrilled taste buds.

I am so proud of myself for 'discovering' this place! Located on the corner of the H-Mart building is this Taiwanese bakery and café. Very similar in style to Korean and Japanese bakeries. They have a wide variety of both sweet and savory breads and other treats. mostly sweet. They have lots of yummy stuff. I had one of their bread things with corn on top which was really good, as well as a Thai Tea, also good. However, their crowning glory, is definitely their egg tarts. Now looking at them, they look no different than any other egg custard tart. Initially, I was kind of mad that I couldn't just try one, since they only came in packs of two, but I risked it. They were so delicious, I immediately turned my car around, went back in, and got a couple more. The crust is not the usual, tasteless breading, it is this incredible flaky, almost filo dough-like texture, and the egg custard is the perfect amount and consistency. They are amazing and I don't say this often. From looking around it looks like there are two of these places in Austin, and the other location seems to sell them without the boxing, so either that's where they are made, or maybe they box the left overs. I don't know, but YOU MUST TRY THEM. Do not leave this place without getting a couple!!!

Late may I came in with a group of friends and unfortunately had my wallet stolen. After talking to an employee they took my number and contacted me days later saying they have video proof of the person who took my wallet. I was told I could not see the video myself, I had to make a police request so they could access the video. The report went through but this location never followed up. I’ve called over 7 times to follow up and my call has never been answered. I’ve reached out through email and also no email back. The police investigative team reached out to this location through email MULTIPLE times and there was still no response. It’s been over 2 months since and I’m still without any closure to even WHO this lady is or if this video exists at all. After a lot of overthinking the situation I’m even inclined to think that it wasn’t even taken by another customer but by a worker at the store. There would be no other reason to avoid contact with me when i was nothing but patient and kind through the few calls we had. Super disappointed in this customer service.

I found this bakery by chance searching for a quick bite for breakfast and was absolutely blown away when I walked through the door. First of all, the incredibly delicious aroma of fresh coffee and pastries is intoxicating. Then, you are welcomed with a literal feast for the eyes of every type of amazing, delicious, buttery pastry you can imagine. Pick up a tray and fill it up. I honestly wanted to try every single thing. The rose cheese bun was incredible and so was the ham and cheese. There were so many other ones I wanted to try. They also had a variety of boba teas, Thai tea, and a refreshing strawberry de leche drink which was delicious. I have to say...I'm usually underwhelmed by pastries at most coffee shops. But this bakery and coffee shop absolutely exceeded my expectations. We will be back simply for the fact that I want to try all of the pastries. Hats off to the ownership and staff of this establishment. This bakery is truly a gem

Mighty Clean had the opportunity to pressure wash the sidewalks for the bakery. We also do windows and exterior cleaning for residential. I love 85°C Bakery Cafe! It's a great place to get delicious Asian-inspired pastries and desserts. I especially love the red bean buns, the pork floss buns, and the matcha cake. The coffee and tea are also really good. I've been to the 85°C Bakery Cafe in Austin (Lakeline) a few times, and it's always been a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a delicious and affordable treat! Here are some of the things I like about 85°C Bakery Cafe: The pastries and desserts are delicious and authentic. The coffee and tea are also really good. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend 85°C Bakery Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable treat!

Unique bakery with delicious goodies! This Taiwanese bakery has the most amazing baked goods that are no comparison to anything locally available in the Austin/ Houston area. Not only are the baked goods available for self serve, but the staff are ever so willing to pack pastries requested. Their coffee is soo smooth; it redefines the caffeine.. Their coffee is brewed at 85 degrees and hence the name.. On top of all this, when you are checking out, they don’t stress customers out with a mandatory tip screen! In an era where the tips screen is shamelessly shoved in every customers face for just ordering coffee in a drive-through, it is refreshing to see how this Taiwanese bakery doesn’t mandate that.. maybe something to learn for all other bakeries and coffee shops!

We pre-ordered Strawberry Chocolate Mousse, after bringing it home we observed coated with white flakes, we thought white chocolate, but later realized it is coconut. My son hates coconut, it was a big surprise and I was upset after my son trashed it after just one bite. So far any cake I check if it contains coconut they usually mention in the name. Leaving the coconut aside, cake itself is bad in taste, chocolate ganache dominates taste and it sticks in mouth, if I separate it while eating then there is no test in rest of the cake. Finally I felt like eating creamy bun and Hershey chocolate together. Overall our celebration failed mainly due to cake, wasted money, if you want to order cake from here, try to eat a slice before ordering.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this place! I visit this bakery every Sunday on every weekend since the day they opened this shop at lakeline. I love their milk toasts, brioche, and some breads. I love their Boba milk tea, sea salt coffee, and now new items on their menu: Strawberry Matcha Latte,…so yum.... However, I do not like any of their smoothies at all. They are the most expensive items in their drink menu but they do not taste as good as other items. I think they really need to work on perfecting their smoothie drinks to make it a bit more flavorful...(just a suggestion)

Update: They finally contacted my husband and told him their insurance will help cover for all the medical expenses. After few email exchanges with the insurance, they didn't seem to willing to cover anything at all. Very disappointed with them This place used to be my favorite. But after last week incident, i am not sure if i will go back. My husband and I got the drinks here on Sunday - we ordered the matcha latte and milk tea boba. We both got really sick after drinking those- I vomited 4-5 times, got really sick for the rest of the day and the next day. My husband is worse, he had to go the ER because he was vomiting blood. We tried contacting the customer service and left messages but haven't hear back from them.

Neat place to get some bakery eateries, cakes, pastries ,hot & cold drinks. I love all their drinks, one of the best boba teas I have had in the area, it's my go to place for seasonal lattes as well. Their Mango Creme Brulee cake is delicious. I took my BFF who was visiting me from London here and she fell in love with matcha flavor after trying the matcha drink here for the first time! Their quantity and quality is worth the money compared to other similar bakeries.

Had to run an errand today by Hmart so I stopped at the 85 degrees right as they opened and I nearly cried as I stepping in the store to the smell of fresh baked goods. A Baker came out and yelled “Fresh Bread!” Each time she placed a new tray of treats onto the already fully stocked selection. Along with my baked goods I got a Vietnamese coffee with brown sugar, syrup, and Boba. The people behind the counter complimented me on my drink choice and how pretty it turned out which made the drink taste so much better knowing it was made with such care. I love 85 Degrees it is truly my happy place, what a great way to start my morning.

  • Madie Leon Riley

This is a really specific type of bakery that likely hits the spot exactly for some people, but is just not my favorite. I find the pastries to be a little flavorless, lacking butter sometimes and sugar other times. The coffee selection is really limited only to milk, which is tough for lactose intolerant people like me. I found the flavor combos to be sometimes too odd to enjoy, but I say that with caveat that this is an Asian bakery catering to an Asian clientele, and it’s super possible that I’m the problem here. The staff were really friendly and service is great here, it’s just not my favorite place in the area.

Ignore the recent 5 stars, they are either fake or from one-time customers. The 85 C Bakery Cafe chain has become a garbage since their last App update. Users can’t access their accumulated points & rewards anymore because of various login issues. For the very few cases who could access their rewards by visiting the store, they saw the cost of a reward spiking from 30pt to 100pt after the update, ridiculous. This has been happening since early October. Still not fixed as of end of November 2023. It’s a scam worth contacting BBB to be honest. Please fix.

super tasty!! the cakes are honestly pretty dry therefore overpriced for the quality. and we got a mango one that hsd TONS of mango which was good but was actually not ripe at all and soooo hard. but the bread selection is so varied and everything seems (and is from what ive had) so good! I would give 2 stars for the cake but overall give 4 for the bakery because this was my first bad experience. dropped the cake which is why it ended up looking like this but they asked if it was a birthday cake (it was) and gave us free candles and a cute little happy birthday chocolate decal.

This is my first time coming to 85 Degree bakery at this location. Their stock items were pretty low. Almost nothing was available to choose and buy. Maybe because of Covid19 they just they make limited of items available to sell. I was able to find "Milk Cookie", a lot was available and it my first time trying it. The cookie was good and it had a light sweet chewy taste to it. Other pastry was available too but there was only 1 left of each. Until then... See you next time 85 degree. Remembered to make more cookies and pastry. Thank you

  • Amir V

Are you kidding the customer?! You know there are 3 days off and many customers come and buy everything, so why don't you try to make more so that other customers don't face empty shelves? At least you can close the door! Isn't this a weakness of management? Isn't this an insult to the customer? How can I waste my time to come there on a holiday, and given that I know the management is weak, so maybe the same situation will happen again, so I will try not to come there again.

  • Paul Nguyen

One of the best 85C Bakery Cafe in Texas. They got many varieties of baked bread, stuff bread, muffin, snakes and all goodies. You have to come by and check yourself for full experience. Great location sname plaza of H Mart Lake line. They bake all good and bread in house. There are also made sommuer and hot drink, coffee, milk tea and iced tea. Check out the pictures and review. Almost 5 starts of 5. Highly recommend for any visitor or bakery lovers.

Was looking for a matcha cake slice for my birthday and was a bit disappointed when they didn't have it but then.... Ta-da, I found several baked goods that were fresh, flavorful and really enjoyed them all. As soon as I tried the red bean bread I thought to myself "oh boy, this is going to be a problem" but in a good way. I try to stay away from sugar and this place will become the spot for those days when I want to indulge in something sweet!

  • Jianhong Mu

I purchased this on Friday 1pm (June 30th) !! They sold something that were expired already!! How do you fell if you found this when your little ones are eating?! So disgusting and so disappointed!! Be careful for what you are buying here! I shared this with my friends, they said they had similar experiences too!! So it is not only me! They are selling breads that have the sell by date expired!! Don’t fool your customers for making money!

  • Lilah Bazarte

What a great bakery. It was a Sunday afternoon and people continued to pour in for the fresh baked goods constantly being replenished by the baker staff. Everything looked clean organized, and fresh. The texture of the coconut Twist, and spicy sausage was so perfect like a warm cloud. I'm so happy to have a fresh bakery so close to home. I can see us bringing guest and friends here. They have good coffee too, we got the 85 without sugar.

  • Stephanie Trinh

85 is a weekly stop for my family. We love the variety of baked goods. My favorites are the Coffee Butter Bread and Butter Croissant. Teas are good, but secondary to the bakery. The boba pearls are very sweet, which is a fun change of pace. Trays at the checkout line are often piled high. Occasionally we see someone pull an entire tray directly out of the display and walk straight to the register.

  • Tony Whittington

Let me try to make this brief. We went in.. picked out some goodies.. 30 bucks. The price was ridiculously cheap as to what I expected. We sat down.. engulfed ourselves in these HEAVENLY baked goods. So much so we went back before leaving and got 40$ more to take home. Literally.. the absolute... Without a doubt... Best bakery/baked goods I have ever.. EVER.. had in my life.. STILL amazing food!!

  • ToShi Star

Went for lunch. I could have this place for breakfast, lunch and dessert. The coffee is great, kolaches and other savory pastries are delightful and the sweet pastries are also really good. The prices are much more reasonable than other bakeries *cough* touslejours *cough*. The location is super convenient and every worker I've encountered has been really helpful and respectful.

  • Geo F

Stopped by 85°C today, this was my first time at this location! I got a Strawberry Matcha Latte, a Hawaiian Chicken Bread and a Matcha Red Bean Roll. They all were delicious! Iris was working in the self-serve section and helped us while we were there. She was great! Pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. Definitely would recommend 85°C, especially this location!

  • Wan Wan L.

I have been a loyal customer of 85C bakery for my Asian bakery fixes for a while now. Saw this mochi egg tart and I thought I try it. I am not sure what I think of it. The mochi is chewy but has no taste and the top tastes like the regular egg tart. The mochi egg tart is not very sweet but my tastebuds were a little confused. I think it’s worth a try.

  • Sal Ari

Fair Price, for extremely fresh and delicious bakery goods. I have been on a hunt for a Bakery that has Cheese Cake soufflé aka Japanese Cheese Cake, and 85*C is one of the two in Austin that has this item. Love waking up in the morning and hearing “fresh bread” consistently being re stocked. Would recommend for anyone looking for fresh baked goods!

  • Nassir Dajer

I love this place! Lots of variety, amazing flavor, great prices. HMart has a really good milk bread, but the price is a bit much for it. Here you can find the same quality for a lower, more realistic price! The fact that I can come and splurge on a ton of tasty bread, yet still have enough to share with family and friends is incredible!

  • Sindhuja G

Excellent online delivery service. I had placed an order in the middle of the night and they gave me a call as soon as they opened up and confirmed items. I asked for a delivery at 6pm and I have received a birthday cake and some boba drinks in Uber well packed. Same taste as bay area 85degrees (we are visiting Austin) thank you!

  • Xuan "Swan" Redding, Your Real Estate BFF

One of my favorite places to go on dates with my daughters. They love the sweet pastries, I like the savories, we get boba and tea and usually something to take home for dinner. Great options, delicious quality food, great prices and very very friendly staff. Not a lot of seating, so be aware for larger groups. Highly recommend!

  • Miranda DeAngelo

Super tasty! Definitely worth a visit for the pastries. Got a frozen salted hot chocolate or something… not the best. I’d recommend sticking to the pastries although I can’t comment on their coffee. Love that it’s self serve and they have descriptions for everything. Highly recommend the Japanese Milk Bread!

  • Anne Greenman

After ordering flowers that never came for my daughter on her birthday from William Paul Floral Design, I was desperate to send something special. I ordered a cake from 85c and it was delivered to her work in record time and just beautiful! Highly recommend this business! The cake was delicious btw.

  • Mr. Bravo

We usually go and get desserts and treats at H Mart. This time we saw that there was a bakery that is open late right next-door. I bought a couple of things and I’m gonna take it home to try it. Everything was fairly priced and I also bought a mango roll. That was $10 and very highly recommended.

  • Kelsey Reed

I love this bakery! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and the pastries are amazing. The Marble Taro pastry + Tiger Boba are my favorites, and my toddler daughter loves the French garlic bread. Plenty of seating and clean bathrooms too. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

  • Paul D

Wife and I got food poisoning here today. Shortly after drinking our milk teas, we got horribly sick, stomach bloating, chills, and weakness. Never had this problem with them but today is something else. In bed atm as I write this. Update: had to go to the ER because I was vomiting blood

  • Erika RNcorazon

I really like the drinks. Cakes are pretty good too, but it's a little expensive though. Still very enjoyable and I go often. Workers are friendly. Pastries good too. Big fan. Parking can be a little hard sometimes due to the popularity of the stores in the area.

  • James Owens

We love this bakery. The quality and flavor are good. The déserts always look so nice and the prices are reasonable. Selection is OK - normally a few dozen things available. And some do run out, that's how good they are. Recommend that you stop by try them out.

  • Karan Shah

The tiramisu cake was really yum, they reserved the cake for us when only 1 was left on that day for like 30 mins. Great service and taste. Rest of cakes are also amazing. It's a Japanese cake shop, you'll also get milk tea and other sweetsbas well.

  • Angie Debbie

I need to know what this is call and it’s filled with it looks like there’s some green bell peppers and I’m not sure if the rest is meat or something else please tell me what it has in it and if it’s meat please let me know what kind of meat it is

  • S French

We were recommend to try a pastry. My husband and I were nervous, but the staff was so excited about it we had to try it and we were not disappointed. We tried cookies:yummy, pastries: yummy and cheesecake:yummy. The prices were very reasonable.

  • Tien Tran

This place for service is a hit and miss. I always come back for only two of their pastries, the others are usually super dry. I went to buy a whole cake from them today and they messed up the happy birthday writing. The writing was slanted

Absolutely delicious bread and drinks. It gets quite busy, but it is totally worth it. It is clean and prices are reasonable. There is a variety of savory and sweet buns. Fresh and tasty.

  • Jen E

Delicious mocha and sublime blueberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was light and creamy with perfect sweetness. The store is clean, the prices are low and the line moves fairly quickly.

  • JiShun Zhou

The matcha with sea salt foam was pretty weak. I could barely taste the matcha and the sea salt foam was getting very liquid. What a pity - it looked better on the display picture.

  • Jasmine Surratt

Most delicious bakery EVER! The staff is so sweet! It was our first time and they were so helpful with the menu and app. The Lemon mini cakes had so much flavor and great price.

  • Deepak

Am a regular visitor to this bakery. Cakes are of good quality but after 7pm most of the cakes are sold out. Milkshakes & smoothies are of awesome taste. Must visit bakery shop
