We went to 9 Ball Heaven at 6:20pm tonight, Friday, March 24th. Before I get into the review, I would like to state that the place was highly recommended from a gentleman who is a member of a pool league that plays there. He told me that the owner sometimes has events for the youth. Some include teaching them to shoot pool. I value businesses who do things like that. He also said that the owner is an excellent cook and the food offered is great.This is why I told my fiancé that I'd like to have dinner there. I wish that I could say something with regards to the good. Unfortunately, we didn't get that far. We came in around 5:55pm and sat at the bar. We looked at our menus and were decided after approximately 5 minutes. We noticed that the bartender did not greet us. I looked at her as she continued to walk around the bar, which only had one person sitting, who was already eating a sandwich. Soon, there were about 3 people who had walked up to the bar and ordered drinks from her. She immediately made their drinks. In the process of making their drinks, she came to the side of the bar that we were seated to grab something, but did not look at us or say anything to us. We decided to wait patiently, thinking that she'd take care of us after. She got caught up to her drinks, but still didn't come over to ask us what we needed. A full 18 minutes went by since we sat at the bar. I told my fiancé that if I find another restaurant on yelp that is nearby before she comes to us, we should leave. He agreed. We left shortly after. It was over 20 minutes that we spent with no service, not to mention the 22 minute drive there from our home in south Jax. All wasted time. I am hurt by the lack of service and genuine appreciation for us as guests. I do value that after contacting the owner we got an apologize. That's why I gave 2 stars instead of one. I do hope that no one else gets an experience like this.

If I could rate lower, I would. I come in and bartender comments that I cant drink yet. I say I do want to order food. She tells me the waitress will be right over. It was hardly busy. Maybe 3 whole tables occupied. 30 minutes go by, I notice the waitress walking around taking orders. I give her the benefit of doubt and think she hasnt noticed me yet. An HOUR goes by and I ask the bartender if I order from her. Trying to nicely suggest I'd like to order food. She says she'll get the waitress out. I notice the waitress walking around taking orders, and again, ignores me. Nearly 2 hours pass and nothing is said to me. I did notice however the bartender and waitress chatting at the bar. I guess it didnt come up that the guy at table 1 wanted to $%&#ing order some food. I was looking for a poolhall to come to that had a good selection of alcohol and food once I can start drinking next month, and this place is definitely off. I came back, there was I think two guys on floor staff. I put in my order with him, and he brought it to me. Unlike those other two female servers. Like the bartender who told me I can not put an order in with her, but the waitress only. The guy took my order, no problem. I returned now able to drink. And the female bartender was there. I was only able to stay for 30 minutes, because my friend had to leave for a long trip home. I hadnt realized, but the bartender charged me the full $10/person. Instead of the alternative hourly rate. Even my friend noticed her rude attitude with me as well.

Will absolutely never ever return to this place. Bartender was extremely rude and condescending. First we walk in and wait at the bar for like 10 minutes. No hi or I'll be right with you...nothing. Then she walks over and says what do you want. Ummmmm, excuse me?! Anyway, we get a table and she says it'll be $6 per hour per person. Kinda steep but ok, whatever. Drove all the way over, screw it. Finish our hour (there were 3 of us) and go back to return the balls and sticks and when she gave us the total it didn't add up. So I ask, why is it so much if it's $6 per person per hour. She says oh it's also $1 a person for the sticks. Hahahahahahalololololololol, never ever have I heard of that. I said, well you didn't say that. All you said was it was $6 per person per hour. She got an instant attitude and stormed off. Served like 4 more people then came back with my card and receipt and said in the most condescending way, I took the $3 off. I've been to pool halls all over and never ever have I had to pay for sticks. How are you going to charge for the table AND sticks. So everyone who plays pool here is professional with their own sticks right? Let's get serious. I will never return and I won't let anyone I know go here. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And the blonde behind the bar needs a swift kick in the arse. If she doesn't like her job she should go elsewhere.

The whole experience was just awful. They had minimal staff and not busy at all. It took about 15 minutes before anyone to even acknowledged us. Took another 20 minutes to take out order. Which it would have taken longer if I didn't have to hunt someone down. They will charge a holding fee when starting a tab which isn't uncommon but I got charged twice for 2 different amounts on top of paying my tab. There mixed drinks were not good at all and there food was okay for what it is. The environment was up to debate. It's located in a decent looking shopping center but when you go in it looks like everything is under renovations and they don't know what they are doing So to summarize their service is bad, their drinks are bad, their food is okay, and the environment is not great either.

I am so critical but honestly cannot think of not even one critique. The waitresses were sweet and did great jobs. Jackie and Julia were tremendous very attentive very helpful and very nice. The whole experience was so nice. Just what we needed. And the food is just as good as the service. Large portions. Great taste! 2 can actually share one portion. And very fresh! Must try!! We are,definitely returning soon. Try the western bacon bbq burger or any of them really. Soooo good!! Fried mushrooms were delish!! So glad we've found a place that we feel at home at and a place well be going to very often!

Easily the best pool bar in jax I've been to. Food wise, great food, better than most "Chain restaurants". pricing seems cheaper than what they could be charging imo. Music is controlled by the bar goers, so hop on touch tunes and change the music if you don't like it! Very clean inside, NO SMOKING INSIDE, (Huge plus), and the staff is super friendly. More of a restaurant type atmosphere than your typical "Bartenders". Full service bar, they carry almost everything I've asked for. (even some things ive never seen before!) Daily specials, food and drink wise, usually things not on the regular menu and they are always good. Ive been here probably 30 times, and have yet to have anything to complain about. Great place!!

We had dinner here and I will,eat somewhere else next time. Ok let's look at the food we tried. We have the quesadillas for a app and it was actually good but it was a tortilla with mac n cheese and chicken. Named wrong because it was not Mexican at all but still good. Now the Shrimp Basket was horrible for the cost and the shrimp was tough and over cooked and now let's look at the pizza. Manufactured frozen crust that was cooked frozen and hard and the pulled pork topping tasted like the processed pulled pork at Wal-Mart. I would not eat here again and the price for micro wave food was high.. Thank you for reading

Easily the best pool hall I've been to in the State of Florida. That's right, in the state. Every pool hall I've been to has always had one issue or another, whether minor or major. This place has the best tables (Diamonds), a good number and variety of tables (16 total, 8ft and 9 ft), and NON-SMOKING. The pockets are tight, and this is the place you want to be if you really want to hone your game, or just eat and watch some sports in a clean environment. I will say, I did not have anything to eat here, so I can't comment on their food. But the menu provided much better options than the average "bar food."

Yes, lots of tables, and yes smoke free and yes they recently expanded, but $11 for a 20 oz. Jai Alai on draft??? C'mon man! Staff was very nice and we went early and even got discounted hourly rates of $5/hr per person. So imagine the surprise when we returned our balls only to get them slapped with $11 each for Jai Alais. I was here before they expanded and the food okay, but at least the booze was inexpensive. I think they are reaching a bit trying to make it more upscale than it is. Still a great place for billiards including league and tournament play. Stick to that and you should be okay.

This place is great. In this area we haven't seen anything like this. Beautiful tables professional equipment and supplies and helpful staff. Now if your from Vegas, it may not be as interesting as it is to a local. The food is great, a little more expensive but great. I have never been to a professional pool hall and this is as close as it gets here in the armpit of the south. A true pleasure to have been and I will keep going back. I have been there only four times and never disappointed. But I do not carry preconceived notions of perfect. It's a great place for Jacksonville. Captain Chris.

The staff are pretty good. The prices are also decent. There is sufficient room between the tables. At least half the patrons know etiquette. A few people are nice and have good manners. Mostly other people mind their own business. There are a few people that get drunk or tipsy and it only becomes annoying when the start bothering you or who you are with. I just ignore those people or walk away. I haven't had any problems, but it's best to go earlier if you want tobavoid those kinds of situations. Overall though it is a decent place and we had a lot of fun

Took forever to get food and went to ask when food was coming after 40 minutes just for them to not know what I ordered to begin with. So replaced order and told them to cancel it all after a total of an hour and a half for soup and a wrap. Tried to give it another go and got breakfast and it took an hour for biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with some bacon. Just to ask about it and waiter had to stand in the kitchen and not leave until they made it. It was insane, pool tables are great but don't go for food unless you plan to wait crazy times.

It was not bad, actually surprising, really good. We did the full Monty , which is table charge $6/hrs/person, happy hour drinks specials, and food. Food prices are not bad. The shrimp basket about $16.00 had a large portion of jumbo shrimp (cooked to order) to your taste and hefty portion of French fries. Nice vibe with friendly staff and my fav a jukebox music! No pics, this time, I was having some me time!

We enjoyed the non-smoking atmosphere of 9 Ball Heaven. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The only negative (and it was slight) was the 4x8 tables were a little close together. It was fine when we arrived because they weren’t very busy. Once business picked up and it got crowded, I was constantly waiting on others to shoot on 3 sides. Having said that, the tables were well kept and in really good shape. I would definitely return and recommend it to others as a good place to go.

Walked in, sat down, waited about 8 min. We had to get our own menu. The waitress came and took out order. It was a total of 15 wings. The order of 10 came out first. The other 5…. Nope. How could you not fry all 15 at the same time sauce them separately and bring them out out at the same time? Sounds like common sense right. By the way, the 5 came out 15 min later. Prices: ridiculously high. Did you see these menu prices? $10 corn nuggets… Got the bill and they charged me for a cup of water.

Going to keep it objective and honest. Plenty of pool tables.... hands down. But the music does not set the vibe, so almost makes you feel like you gotta stay quite like in a library. But then again, maybe I'm wrong, but I like lively music to play pool. The wings were unfortunately over priced and not at all the best in flavor / quality. Unfortunately I was already $80 in the hole before realizing I should've gone somewhere else..... but again I repeat.... maybe it's just me.

I went there to play on the slot machine, and I ordered a drink and mozzarella sticks so I can eat and drink while I play. But after receiving both of them, eating the cheese sticks and drinking ONE sip out the drink to taste it, I had a real bad stomach ache and the owner/manager didn't have a care in the world to refund it although I never attended to the drink, their products made me sick and he showed NO remorse to let me have my money back although I didn't drink.

Food is Amazing! Not your typical Bar fare at all! Owners are billiard players themselves and very passionate about the game. The encourage a Family atmosphere. So, no problem bringing the kids and letting them play at the tables as well. This is a Non Smoking Restaurant but they are nice enough to place tables, chairs and ashtrays outside for the customers who smoke. If you don't play Pool you should try the food!!! Or the poker games through out the week

We had a blast Sunday for my birthday and my husband and I 4 year wedding anniversary! We met up with friends there, the staff was kind and very attentive, we watched football game there, listened too music and the food was amazing!! We would go back in a heart beat!! Our new spot!! This place is amazing andbour pool experience was absolutely wonderful!! Thank you 9 Ball Heaven for our 1st time wonderful experience and we will indeed be back for more fun!

Shocked to say what a great place this is! The staff is so friendly, the food is great...not like a bar or pool hall and of course you get to play pool, watch a game and hang out with friends and have great drinks! What a country - LOL it is a great spot close to home. I think many of the regulars play tournament pool but even us not great players can play and have a great time or just stop in the bar and have a great chicken taco salad. Love this place!

Have only ordered one item, corn nuggets. The price point is on point and the quality exceeds the price point. 6 bucks for a handful of corn nuggets, maybe a handful and a half for 6 dollars is a great bargain. Plus, the service is more than I thought it would be for a pool hall. Great manners from the entire staff and the fact that they play JPA free poker on Fridays, I will happily be back. This location is fantastic!! I play pool tournaments there, also poker games. The people you share conversation with are very great to talk to. The staff is outstanding. Food is scrumptious. You'll have a wonderful time when there. Enjoy !!!

I've been coming here for a year or more. It's a very unassuming place. I don't play pool but go there for drinks after work. It's definitely a place to just be left alone and shrug off the work day bs. C'mon reality check ...it's a pool hall. The reviews for the food are high but being in the food & restaurant for years and taking in cues...I'm just sayin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ From the looks of the place it has the loyalty of many pool playing folks.

Great food friendly people, if your looking for a great place to relax, get some great food. I suggest you stop by and check this place out. Friendly staff, great service and biggest and best wings and onion rings around. Also the Cuban sandwich with fries is awesome. Daily lunch buffet Monday thru Friday and breakfast buffet Saturday and Sunday from 11 till 3. Will definitely be back again. Thanks to the owner and staff for a great lunch.

Great pool hall. Plenty of room to play and enjoy time in your own "group's space". Server who came around and brought us drinks was really great and amazingly friendly. Clean place, well lit, and great atmosphere. Cons from that evening: 1. The food was not too good. Overcooked & hard. 2. Ordered 2 shots of Goldschläger and not noticing, ended up with 2 shots of a Rumple Minze type. Didn't realize and drank it. (Yuck)

I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak to share, and it was awful!! The menu did not mention what type of cheese; it was Velveta-like. When I asked if I could get a half sandwich of something else, management declined but took money off instead. I ended up eating elsewhere. Thank you to Kayla, who did her best to serve us. Thank you, Kayla, for your outstanding customer service! I'm not ordering food there anymore.

Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon before it got busy with the evening crowd. I've been in many pool hall's so this one is not much different except I didn't detect any cigarette smoke odor, which to a non smoker can be a big turn-off. First, Tyler is the best bar tender and manager. He's attentive, personable and makes great drinks. Second, the food is AMAZING! Truly, some of the best food in town and the have weekly/nightly specials not on the menu. Kitchen is very talented! I just play pool for fun, not that great at it, but it's a great place for professional players or just the social ones. Highly recommend.

GO TO A DIFFERENT POOL HALL!! My favorite part is how expensive the drinks are, my other favorite part is how for three weeks in a row I had to wait 30+ minutes for my tab, another favorite, no matter who the bartender is, they just leave the bar unintended for 15 minutes, also. My other favorite thing is how they refused to give me an itemized receipt till after I paid for it.

Great equipment!! Exclusively provide Diamond Billiards tables which are the leaders in their industry. Clean non-smoking location. Excellent food and drinks. Great centralized location with plenty of parking. I withheld the 5th star only because of a bit of tightness between a few tables. If the expansion goes as planned it should solve this and make this place near perfect.

Stopped by for lunch and it did not disappoint! We got the sampler with pretzels, corn nuggets and onion rings … all so good!! I got the Philly cheesesteak and my husband got the fish platter blackened. All so good! If you haven’t been there I highly recommend you check it out! Angel was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely be back!

Lost a very close friend and this community is a very close knit community. James and staff carried off a wonderful tribute for our friend and am grateful for the care and responsiveness outpour of love. Thank you for such a wonderful night of food, drinks and fun. Valentines date night, and what a night! Tyler was AMAZING, very attentive and wonderfully friendly. Cannot recommend enough for food, drinks and friendly people! Came back again a month later and tattooed Matt at the bar was quite the host. Dude made quite possibly the BEST spicy margarita we've ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Had a great Time at 9 ball Services was great. TALK TO MY GIRL KENTUCKY. SHE is the bees honey sweet as can bee . Watch out don't light the candles on the tables around here or the gate keeper will get ya . I guess pool halls have kids just hanging around. Just make sure you steer clear of any type of enjoyment when she is around .

I've been coming here since they first opened about eight years ago. Food is consistently great. Kim's Cobb salad is my favorite. Staff is friendly and helpful! The music isn't too loud, you can carry on a conversation. Fun place to play pool.

I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years now. I recommend this place to everyone I talk to. The food is beyond amazing! The staff will always be welcoming and they’re very personable. They’re like my second family. The building is always clean. It’s overall a wonderful pool hall. It will always be my favorite !

Nice wait staff, table felt is old and worn out. Very dirty stained tables. Was dripped on from the ceiling ac ducts. Web page stated pool 1-6 could play all you want for 10 dollars. Not true, also web page stated daily food specials, not so. Also stated prices on drinks. Again not true. Very disappointed.

Has a mask policy but doesn't enforce it...Then when they try to make guest wear a mask its in between sips from their drinks,,,makes no sense. 50% wear them also makes no sense. The staff is also not complying with their own mask policy. A lot of cross contamination going on...1st and last time visiting

You are really in heaven if you are an avid pool player. They have nice Diamond tables 9 and 8 footers. The sound system is awesome and the staff and owner are really friendly. This will place is definitely my favorite pool room in Jacksonville. Looking forward playing there again when I am in town.

9 Ball Heaven is a place where all the pool sharks come together and duel on the best Diamond tables you can dream of. They have a full bar, and amazing food to serve. Whatever you favorite drink or food? You should consider 9 Ball Heaven especially if you are looking to have a great time.

I feel for the employees here that on certain nights may be dealing with a 120+ person crowd, and are not able to keep up the flow of food, drinks, being served to that size crowd. Increase the level of timely service inside the facility and will definitely look at re-rating this location.

The owner really knows what people want. Clean, smoke free, top notch food, and awesome staff. A great place to go to play pool, or watch sporting events on their many many HD TV's. They also have a lot of inhouse pool tournaments that attract the best players in the area

Small place but always a good time. A variety of types of ppl who come here but always nice ppl I've never had any problems and their food is amazing and also if ur interested they have 2 different pool leagues one is apa and I don't remember the name of the other.

This was the only good pool hall in the area that was open on Labor Day. Three of my adult sons and I had a blast playing pool, drinking beer and eating "boneless chicken wings", that are actually tasty, massive chunks of chicken. I highly recommend the place!

I'm a big fan of this establishment. Decent equipment, with a selection of 8' and 9' tables. Typical of any large pool hall, some tables play better than others. The food is outstanding, from the pizzas to shrimp baskets. Good people, good times.

Definitely a place for playing billiards and cards. We were a little out of place doing neither, but the food was pretty good. For people who do play those things I can see the appeal of having decent food while you rack 'em up or deal them out!

This place was uncomfortably crowded. Too many people! We are a quick bite and then as it got more crowded, we left. The staff were extremely friendly yet professional. I'll go back, but it'll have to be on a day visit, when it's not as crowded.

Went for the first and only time. I have NEVER left a bad review online. Sitting at the bar we got the wrong order wrong beer and at 6:01 was refused happy hour beer after waiting for one for 5 min.

Had a good breakfast there after kayaking. The biscuits and gravy was very good. Went in thinking I'd only get a lunch but was surprised.

Nice 8 foot tables I didn't get to play the 9 footers but the cloth was more worn.. I had a veggie wrap and fries and they were excellent

This place has a great staff. Lots of pool tables. it is very open and it also has poker on Saturday nights. And a lot of tvs for sports.

Very slow service. Food was good when it got there, but it felt overpriced for lunch. Fountain refills are an additional dollar each.
