Staff here is rude, argumentative, and lacks basic understanding. Today was the final straw. Every time we’ve come to this location they had a hard time understanding what we are asking for. But not in any of the other A&W’s, and it’s always a struggle to get our order straight; with the person taking the order. It’s always a young Indian woman. She needs to be back of house. Today I tried to order VERBATIM what the drink was called on the sign. A&W root beer & sweet cream shake. She kept asking if I wanted “one” or are they both regular. I say, “it’s one drink. Listen, I’m reading exactly as it is on the board. A&W rootbeer & sweet cream shake.” Before I pay I ask again, face to face, you understand that I want the rootbeer & sweet cream shake. She says, no, that’s two drink. I say, it’s not. I’ve ordered it many times. She said I’m adding the “&” and that’s not what it says on the sign. I say, that IS what it says on the sign. Maybe check the sign before calling your customer liars. I didn’t pay and didn’t get my order here. Went to a different A&W and ordered it without issue. I’m done going to this location. There was one customer in the restaurant when I arrived at 8:07am that was nursing a coffee, having finished eating. I ordered the all Canadian for inside with a large coffee, i was asked if I wanted jam and PB so I responded “yes please” and it was noted on the receipt. I took my seat with the coffee and waited patiently. Food was prepared quite fast and placed on the front counter and the server shouted out my order rather than bring the tray to me. I walked the 7 steps to the counter and there were two workers chit chatting in the kitchen area, there were no jams of any sort on my tray. Why ask if you don’t care to listen and acknowledge? When customers are treated as numbers or inconveniences it stands out and loudly encourages us to spend our disposable income at establishments that appreciate receiving our monetary vote! I’ll avoid this A&W in the future

The food was good, service was slow and food took a about 10 minutes to get to my table. I was the only person in line. The lady didn't take my order right away, she was talking to her coworker. Conversation sounded funny as they were laughing away. I Placed my order and waited for my food. The tables were dirty. Maybe I just came after a lunch rush, I can't say but by 2 o'clock you'd think that at least a couple tables would be clean.

Not feeling like cooking we decided to stop at A&W on Plessis for dinner. We were greeted by a nice young lady who quickly advised us of a Mama Burger Combo special. She was such a hood salesperson my wife and I both took advantage of the offer. The food arrived quickly, was the correct temperature and tasted great. Same young lady stopped by our table to enquire about our experience and thanked us for attending. Overall pleasant experience

Ordered an Uncle burger combo and a double teen with onion rings. The food was prepared exceptionally well. Everything was hot and fresh. The onion rings were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The serving size were a little more generous than other A&W locations. I would definitely be back to this location. The food and service reminded me of what A&W was like back in the 80s where quality and service were important.

A&W located at plesis road becomes my favourite place to dine in alone and with friends as well. Employees working here are too polite and pay gentle attention to customer’s orders. I would highly recommend this food place to my friends.

onion rings are really delicious and become my all time favourite snack whenever i visit there.

Just not the same... food was greasy and fell apart instantly. Overloaded with mayo and onions, (teen burger) Rootbeer tastes like the machine needs a clean and the quality just isn't there. Onion rings are still a favorite they got you the one star ✨ overpriced too

Every time I've been to the drive through, it's mega slow. Tonight I placed an online order for pick up so I wouldn't have to wait in that drive through. I arrived a few minutes after it said it was ready. It wasn't. They made it while I sat it the restaurant. There are literally 3 people working in there. The manager was nice, but there was no point in the online ordering pick up....

Out of the 8 years living in Winnipeg, this A&W location, is by far the best A&W I have ever ordered and ate from, the staff is the best A&W staff that i have interacted with. They were the most welcoming, respectful and helpful A&W team that I interacted with.

This location is my favourite spot for lunch. Not only does the manager have a great moustache but he also provides great customer service. Harsh (staff) has my lunch memorized, which makes me feel very valued as a customer, and she ensures the quality of food is always fresh. 10/10 usually fast food restaurants are a hit or miss, this is definitely a hit for me.

Hard to understand him at drive thru. Gave us a shake not full and told to drive up front to wait for the other. After 6 minutes I took our one back and asked for a reimbursement as who wants to wait forever for a shake. The burgers had gone cold while we were waiting. They were not equipped to reimburse back on debit card. Burgers were not as fresh as normal A & W.. The onion rings were LOADED in salt. Will go to the other one on Regent

I’ve been here several times and I really like the fact that it’s not super busy like the other restaurants. The employees are always nice. The food always taste good, and I love their the root beer. It’s also a brand new building so the atmosphere is really nice, both indoor and outdoor. I would definitely eat here again.

My husband and I came in to this restaurant and was served by a very kind and sweet woman. Our food was cooked perfectly the service was 5 star and as well this same woman cleaned like it was her home. Which in my books is not something you see everyday. Please note on this day you had a wonderful crew and you can be proud and this is why I come to A& W.

Staff do not follow written instructions on orders. I asked for a lettuce bun substitute and I got a bun. I paid extra for cheese and I did not receive cheese. This has happened every time I order a mama with cheese. Also the food all needs to go in the microwave because it arrives cold every time. I'm not even sure my pop is diet at this point. The only reason that's important is because I am a diabetic.

It is my all time favourite place to dine-in. Staff members are very polite and co-operative. When I first time visited there I did not know about the menu and they helped me a lot at that time. Overall, It was a fabulous experience.

Ordered a Cheddar Bacon uncle combo with onion rings, had to wait for the good which was okay except for the fact that the rings were cold and falling apart, if you have to wait, you'd expect the food to be hot and served properly. Also just noticed the condiments they said they would include were nowhere to be found as well..

Employees handling the food does not wash after they hold other things like freezer, oil container, damping cloth, uniform, face, etc. They wear bracelets and hand accesories dangling and touching the food. They should avoid any accesories and they should wear gloves
