My first experience with Abbeydale was first class. It began with a no hassle first meet with David, the owner, at his private office & showroom on Tryon. During the meet, David took some measurements, inquired about what I was looking for (in this case a classic grey suit, blue dress shirt, and white dress shirt), and provided input regarding some of the smaller details to consider like shirt cuffs, monograms, jacket lining, etc. The 30 to 40 minute process I felt was concise, engaging, and pressure free. Approximately 6 weeks later, my items arrived. Both fit like a glove right out of the box, but David told me to wear them around a few weeks, and if I needed to make any nips or tucks, he would take care of them free of charge. The suit in particular is absolutely beautiful. If you have never tried a full-canvas suit before (as most off-the-rack suits are fused or half-canvas), it is a totally different ball game. The suit just moves with you and feels as if it will conformed to your body shape even more over time. I am definitely looking forward to rocking this thing for years to come. For all those who are tired of wasting time on off-the-rack, low quality items that never fit and who want expert advice when it comes to timeless style, I highly recommend that you give Abbeydale and David a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I had never been to a tailor before, and after working with David, my only regret is that I didn't find him sooner. I went to him for my wedding suit, and I'm overjoyed with the outcome. He has an excellent sense of style, but also asked all the right questions to ensure I got what I needed. What I most appreciated was his insight--he explained why certain choices would be more timeless/classy/etc. The ultimate choices were mine, but his guidance was invaluable. David is also easy to talk to with a good sense of humor. He works hard and communicates in a timely manner. I plan to continue using David's services well after my wedding. I had a custom tux done by David. I could not be happier, he worked me through the process effortlessly and made the overall experience awesome. After my intial fitting/sizing, I came back to try on the finished product and could not believe how well my tux fit. The attention to detail and quality of material was outstanding.
