This experience goes back to May of 2019. I had recently moved here from Chicago and was looking for a new dentist. After reading some reviews I figured I would try this dentist. I went in for a cleaning and the cleaning was actually somewhat painful. I thought that's ok, it's going to be different than the dentist I have been going to the past 20+ years. The reason I also went to them was I was 2/3's of the way done with an implant, where the implant was placed in, I just needed the actual fake tooth made and put in the socket. Going into the month of June I had my scan scheduled for sizing and what not, they took part of the scan but couldn't complete it because they did not have the part to pull the cap out of the socket covering the implant in my jaw, so I had to come back about 2 weeks later when they got the part. After that they re-scanned my mouth and were ready to go. I had to wait about a month for their partner company to make the the actual tooth. I got a call about a month later that it was being shipped to the dentist and would take about a week. I was super happy to finally have this done as the process usually takes about a year from start to finish. The next part is what made his one of the worst experiences ever. I had waited about another month and decided to give them a call. I was told that the company that made the tooth was holding it "hostage" until the dentist started ordering equipment from the company that makes the teeth. to be honest, I thought this was really odd, as I have never heard a company doing that before because that can really effect a business partnership. So I continued to let it go and say ok when can we get this taken care of so I can get my tooth put in. They said they would call me the next week and have the tooth there. I was ok with it and decided to wait. Well fast forward three months later I decided to call and ask and was told that it is still being shipped out. I found it odd that it has taken nearly 6 months to get a tooth in, so i asked them to please get this done so I can finally have my implant I have been waiting for. Fast forward to 8 months later and I am fed up with them, so I decide I am going to switch dentists. I call them to get all the records they have of me sent to my email. I was told they would send them to me right away. I had to call two more times over the span of two weeks to finally get the records. To this day 11 months later I have not heard from them at all about teeth cleaning, or getting my implant completed. After I got my records I went to my new dentist and they were able to complete this process within 3 weeks start to finish, they also didn't have the part to take the cap off and still were able to complete this task. I wanted to like this dentist, and I gave them several chances, but this has been one of the worst experiences ever. I would highly recommend going somewhere different.

The staff is great and always nice, the prices are fair. The dentist gets frustrated very easily and will not admit fault. Right side of my mouth I had quite a bit of teeth worked on and I had to go back because one of them was extremely sensitive, when I went back I insisted that it needed more filling because it was sensitive but he said it was due to the bite so he filed down four other teeth causing them all to be sensitive as well. I couldn't go back to to the pandemic so when I was finally able to go back months later he said it was the bite and that because I had a missing tooth he would need to give me a bridge and cap on some teeth costing upwards to 2k I denied the service and he pushed a cleaning on me which I also turned away . I went to another dentist and they told me I was in dire need of a deep cleaning and I was told by this dentist I didn't need one. Also my new dentist had told me all I need is the filling redone on the sensitive teeth. Edit: I just got an infection on a root canal I got from Dr.bao this year and I can't treat it do to using all my insurance on his work.

Cons: It is not in the best part of town, but there is a police station really close to it. I think they have students working there, some consider that a red flag. I would not take kids here because the whole place is serious. I do not even know if they accept children. I did not get tooth paste or a tooth brush:( Pros: The Doctor is really a class act. And although very busy I am sure, he is personable. The place is clean and modern, the nicest dentist office I have ever seen, even on tv. - Really a huge plus, you feel like you are flying first class. Everyone I met was very nice and sincere, good customer service and they want to work with you if you are nervous. They asked me at least twice about concerns for the Dr. You get worked on in privacy, some dentists have an open plan. If you do not have insurance, cleanings run low at about $50

The dentist was very good he was very thorough and it didn't take me long at all I went in there just to find out some information and loan and behold they had they had me as a walk-in instantly knowing the problems that I have with my teeth and my jaw I want to thank them all very much for all their help yesterday they were all great and the girl that helped me on the lab check I don't know what her name was but she was amazing doing my x-rays and she understood like the pain that I was going through I really really am very very blessed by finding this doctor and this dentist for me because my teeth are really really bad and he was very very thorough and they all like just knew how to take care of their patients

Okay soooooo im changing my review on this place. The only reason i give it 2 stars instead of 1 is cause i like the front desk ppl. But i dont like the dentist assistants there just rude to be honest and to top it off Dr. Bao is so judgie really, he makes you feel like your poor cause i asked for something and he right away says "Your insurance doesnt cover it" ummm like I KNOW but that doesnt mean I DONT HAVE MONEY..... Idk if you like being treated like your "poor" and make you feel " embarrassed" when you come here then by all means ppl enjoy. But ill be finding another Dentistry...

I was aware of the huge gap in my upper front teeth and felt uncomfortable smiling. I felt like everyone couldn't help noticing the gap. A Better Smile gave me a wonderful system of invisible braces that are eliminating the embarrassing Gap. My teeth will be straight in only a few months. Meanwhile I can take the braces off to eat, and wear them invisibly all day. I love the friendly and professional staff. I was surprised to learn that they all have medical training. I also like my visits because it only takes a few minutes to get the new set of braces for the next week.

I had a procedure done here. And then I have my insurance pay for it the billing department. Would be Mr Wade doesn't know how to Bill and doesn't know how to do his job so be aware of this Dentistry because they tell you you covered and then later on they bill you. I received a bill that has no information indicating why I requested why are they billing me. No information all of a sudden now I got a collections on the amount that I owe. I do not recommend this Dentistry to anybody be aware be aware they do not know how to process a claim.

It's to bad Bao sets up patients with more dental problems for the future in hopes for more future busine$$. I unfortunately had a bad & costly job done by this office. The dentist examend me and said tooth can be saved by a root canal and cap ($2700?) So I did. Come to find out tooth is cracked inside gum line and now is giving me pain which was the reason I went to him in first place. Now he wants to install implant for ($4000+)? It's wrong how this office hurts you more than helps you.

Absolutely the Very Best dentist I have ever gone to. He is so friendly as well and his wonderful staff. The Dr walks you through the process as you go he has top notch state of the art equipment and is so knowledgeable. I left his beautiful office with a new sense of my teeth as well as clues to my heath problems that absolutely amazed me. This place is the best. If 6ou a looking for a new dentist or even a better dentist this is the place to go. You won't be sorry

My experience with DR. BAO and staff was great. I suffer from lock jaw. I've had a hard time finding a good dentist to make me comfortable during my procedures. Dr BAO made sure that during my procedure I was comfortable and doing okay. He knew I have trouble with my jaw so he gave me breaks in between if needed. Dr.bao and the staff went above and beyond to help me come up with a plan to make my teeth and confidence better.

Horrible place!! Do yourself a favor and do not come to this dentis... The Dentist did not know anything about teeth... Offered me a whitening tray then when I was able to go pick it up they said they didn't have room in the back for it and threw it away. They also said they didn't offer that promo and could not do anything about it.. I will never go back staff is very rude and unprofessional!!

I am very excited with my clear correct. It has been exciting watching my Teeth shift back to where they used to be when I was younger no more gaps. I have a little bit more confidence behind my smile now The crew at better smiles dentistry are awesome. They’re friendly, compassionate, make you feel comfortable, and Dr. boa is great. I’ve been going to a better smile dentistry for several years now and I love it! I moved out of town and refuse to leave them. I will drive the extra distance to have such great service. The staff is amazing and very kind! I recently got Invisalign braces and they are working wonders! I can’t thank them enough for everything they do and giving me the confidence in my smile again!

I’ve tried calling so many different times, and the receptionist apparently doesn’t know how to do her job, so I’m not wasting my time anymore. It’s just their loss for money my loss for the time calling but anyway, I would obviously recommend someone else at this point I have called three times today alone

Dr. Bao and his staff took excellent care of me while I had dentures done in this office. They were all so caring and answered all of my questions making me feel calm and secure! After a month I have a brand new smile! I would recommend A Better Smile Dentistry to anyone.

I never like dentist because they could never get my numb at all this dentist does very good and he hleps to get you tetthfix he don't like to jusy pull teeth out like all the other do he well mavk a way to fix them even if it's a payment plan thanks Dr and all his staff

Dr. Bao is amazing! He explained everything in great detail and did a wonderful job with the deep cleaning and fillings. All the staff are friendly and Non-judge mental about my terrible teeth. Luke in the front is very welcoming and great about scheduling around you.

I am VERY disenchanted with Dr.Bao.....went there for 4 years and all I've had is one problem after another. My mouth is ruined FOREVER! He is all about the $$$$ when I started having problems and money ran out so did his care.

It was my first visit there. Place was dirty and sketchy. They didn’t have the blue little disposable pads they put around your neck so they used a white towel. I felt uneasy and stressed out. Will not be returning.

I was not satisfied with my very quick dental cleaning. It was very strange, and they sent me home with a huge estimate for dental work in the future. My teeth need to be recleaned by another dentist at this point.

I took my mother to this office and hope they can make her new dentures. Not only did the office provide her the best fitting dentures, but helped her to enroll a new insurance and save us money!

Office has great precautions for Covid in place...the kind that show real care and thought. I actually enjoyed my visit and was put at ease by the thoughtfulness of Dr. Bao and his staff.
