I went to this establishment on 3/2/21 for eyelash strip application. The female was not educated on how to apply lashes. She went to place me in the chair that the previous client had just came off of without sanitizing it. Their was pieces of nails and nail particles because it’s too close to were their doing nails. It needed to be cleaned. I mentioned it to her she went to the back to retrieve a cloth began wiping it down, but left it wet. I had to inform her it needs to be dried I’m not lying down on something wet. She did so. She had me close my eyes which right then I knew she didn’t t know what she was doing. You never completely close your eyes because they can’t get stuck. She slid them on asked me if I like them and brought a fan. I was like your not going to make sure their adhesive. No using the tweezers to assure their secure. Nothing. I got home that night and wash my face as I always do with my lashes. Washing around them and the right one was lifting off. $10.00 and I brought my own lashes for them to be lifting already. She didn’t press on them and make sure the adhesive was secure in all spots. I learned my lesson about going to nail parlors to do lashes. Never again! Semaj at least thats whose name was on my receipt. I heard them say Mya or Nita. was her name. I will stick with the lash gurus I normally go to. I moved on the Westside and didn’t want to take the drive, but I will next time do I won’t be looking like I just fought Tyson.

Walk-in service... (fill in and repair of a overlay). The majority of my jewels fell off before the next day. My nails were bumpy from the acrylic, probably because she was on the phone the first portion of doing my nails. There were lumps in the polish, the top coat of the polish didn’t cover the entire nail, my repair was terrible, it was thick and ill shaped. When I went to a different salon to get it fixed the next day the lady asked if I had gotten my nails done a week ago because I needed a fill in. I told her no I got a fill in last night. It seems as if some techs are hired off the simple fact that they are family or friends, it’s sad because they are a representation of the business. “They” should not be charging anyone for practicing on their nails, because I was definitely practice for this individual.

This is a continued review since Google cut me off..... My tongue ring has not come loose or come off. I can eat, my tongue is not swollen any more, no pain, and my tongue looks so much better. I am not stressed out anymore. And today I went and got my eyebrow changed because the one that Lilly put in there was too big and I was told she didn't use enough skin either. Like I said I hated that I had to write this review but at the end of the day do better. At the end of the day my little oh review won't stop business but I know someone will read this and will decide to go elsewhere. Ladies do better please. God bless.

Being in the military it’s difficult to find good nail techs so when I came across them I was relieved. I had really high hopes with this place due to the great reviews, but I was very let down. I’m sure the more seasoned nail technicians would do a lovely job, but I think I got someone fairly new. My nails look lumpy and uneven. Besides, they are wayyyy too thick. After repeating myself for the 3rd time that they’re too thick, I gave up. Hopefully others have a different experience...

I really had high hopes for this location. I went in for a simple ombré full set and it turned out horrible. My nails look like a need a fill in and I just got them done today. Not to mention some of the nails are crooked. The ombré is blended well, but that means nothing because they look like I got them done 2-3 weeks ago. I got frustrated when I saw them and just paid and left…didn’t even want to say anything. But this is unacceptable. I will never go back.

I must say I had a wonderful experience! I received a full-set, Piercing , and Eye brows while at the salon! I can tell you she slayed my nails and brows for the Gods, made feel quite prepared for my birthday today! The salon has an awesome atmosphere and great leader leading the business! I really enjoy this shop! Not only can you get your nails done but you can also get pierced, waxed, lashes, and your hair done! It's really a one stop shop and convenient. I ended up getting my nose pierced (and even got an additional piercing a few days later) . Great environment and not intimidating like other beauty spots. The staff are all nice and super funny. Semaj is the best, she’s been doing my nails for 3 yrs now and ive gone to her since before the shop was opened. She is hilarious and very creative. She set VERY fair and affordable prices. I prefer to book with her because Ive come to love her work over the years but i have gone to others if she was booked and everyone that works there is friendly and professional. I had an amazing experience at A dose of beauty salon today!!! I got my nails and feet done by Ashley Marie while I sipped on a mimosa!!! She was so sweet and professional!!! The whole staff was professional and welcoming the salon is clean and beautiful!!! It’s literally a one stop shop!!! The cherry on top is them being black owned!!! I went to A Dose of beauty for my birthday to get a Full set and absolutely loved by @itsangelicachristina I’d give her 6 stars the set lasted a good month without a touch up. She gave me exactly what I wanted plus was very professional and a sweetheart. The salon is neat everyone is nice my over all experience was top equality I’d recommend anyone to A Dose of Beauty salon.

Came here to get my nails and pedicure done the staff was so welcoming and AMAZING! Amiya did a great job on my nails they turned out so beautifully. And Semaj did my pedicure and my eyebrow wax and actually took her time on both so i was very pleased. Definitely will be coming back again 10 out of 10 recommend coming here they literally do everything you can think of!

I must say they was awesome I was scared at first the owner assured me it will be ok. We laughed and had a opening experience. It was fast , clean and just welcoming. I peeked into A Dose of Beauty, not knowing what to expect, and let out with the best facial of my life. The employees here were so personable and friendly, I instantly felt at home! The esthetician was so gentle and knowledgeable about her work. Not only did I receive a facial but also a mini massage. I am so pleased with my experience!!!

Horrible service.... left my tongue ring and eyebrow ring infected. Also gave me the wrong instructions on how to care for my piercings. I had to go somewhere else to have my piercings cared for because this shop stopped responding to my pictures and messages. I had to reach out to the association of national piercings. Super disappointed.

Niya is the nail tech I most completely love love love, I first started going to her in high school and still go to her now that I’m in college. She is reliable and an amazing nail tech.

Absolutely amazing staff here. I went somewhere else for a piercing, it was done incorrectly and I went to to see the team at Dose and were so caring gentle and concerned. Great customer service! Multiple techs to handle nails, as well as lashes. All are skilled! Though I have my regular two(Semaj & Liz) that I go to, I've used others in the shop and can stand by their work. Schedule an appointment on their site for in and out service but I believe they even have a day for walk-ins so just call to ask.

My favorite nail shop to go to !! They are very respectful and they also make you feel comfortable to where you can be yourself they always have good deals and techs ready soon as you walk in the door !!!! Awesome experience! Comfortable environment, beautiful work from all the artists there and very accommodating. We called for an appointment for a group of 7, and after 4 nos Dose of Beauty said yes with no hesitation and went well over closing time due to our spontaneous addition of services. I had a great time in the shop today! I love the atmosphere and how well the staff treat everyone. Harmoni was the best she executed my full set exactly how I wanted and even got my shape right which is so important to me. I would recommend anyone in the shop, everyone is very friendly and they like to establish great relationships with the customers. Reasonable prices and most of all, talented staff.

Shaura is my fav however I think this salon houses some of the best talent in Jacksonville! Anytime I came in to be serviced everyone was nice, welcoming and professional.
