I’m not sure where the high ratings are coming from. Maybe they pick and choose which customers get their “professional movers”. I scheduled this company for 2 separate moves. For the first move, the movers were supposed to be at pickup address between 10-12. I was told that they would call half an hour before arrival. Well, about 5 minutes til 12 I hadn’t heard anything, so I called to make sure they were coming. Carlos said he’d call the movers to see where they were, and he’d call me right back. He didn’t… so 30 minutes later I called back just to be told that the movers would be late. They were almost 2 hours later than the scheduled time. The movers did a decent job, but they only had a dresser and dining room table to move, soooo…..Carlos offered a discount, so I was ok with that and decided not to cancel my second date. ( items were going to different addresses). The second move was a hot mess. The two movers were inexperienced to say the least. The first movers actually used moving blankets to protect my things. This team of second movers did not. They didn’t speak English, so they called Carlos to have him tell me that there may be minor scratches during the move of my leather reclining sofa, since they had to move it from upstairs. Minor scratches I wasn’t worried about since my sofa wasn’t new. ( still in great condition tho.) well, They struggled for about 20 minutes or more getting stuck again and again in the doorway. I’m trying to help by suggesting different angles, and becoming very agitated because they weren’t trying to be careful with the sofa at all!! After about 20 minutes or so, they managed to finally get it through the door. I just know there’s damage to the sofa, so before they put it on the truck, i went out to inspect it. Sure enough, there was as very noticeable area on the back of the sofa where the leather had been scratched off from the friction! One of the movers kept saying “its ok? Its ok? I told him NO!! its not ok!! They didn’t speak English , so I called Carlos(I’m guessing he’s the manager). He called the movers, and I guess they sent him a picture of the damage. Good ole “professional” carlos offered to take $20 off the price for the damage… yeah you read it right. $20!! They didn’t wear masks! Dripped disgusting sweat all on the sofa. It was so bad it looked like someone had poured some water on it. The first thing I did was clean it off,!…..yes, it was that much sweat on the sofa. There were people at my new residence doing some remodeling, so I was distracted and didn’t get the chance to thoroughly inspect everything before they left. Well I guess during the reassembling of my bed, they couldn’t figure out where a couple of pieces were supposed to go, so they just hid them under the bed. The only way I discovered it was when the guys installing a ceiling fan had to move the bed over some… professional movers? Nah! Please choose a different company!

We had schedule a move with Carlos to the past Sunday and then this crazy snowstorm happened here in Texas and needed to be rescheduled. Every day he would call us and say tomorrow is for sure, tomorrow is for sure. I was glad he kept checking on us and understand that it wasn’t his fault. Can’t blame the guy on the weather. We waited and kept taking off work to do the move and he would say is for sure the next day and nothing. So we started slowly doing our moving ourselves and brought all the boxes to our new home and left only the couch and the mattress that didn’t fit our cars for him to pick up. Today that was the last day for us to remove our furniture from the old place- and the weather is way better and most of the snow already melted we called him several times in the morning he never answered the phone. ( which is already bad sign for us) Also messaged him, never responded. Literally can’t be held accountable in a time where we really needed and counted on him only. So then I called the other number which I believe is his assistant and she told me they are not able to do the move until next week. (???) Why do you keep promising something that you can’t commit to? Moving itself is such a stressful, annoying thing and having to deal with the “ tomorrow for sure” and then tomorrow never came was very upsetting for us. It was a 5mile drive from one place to the other and we literally left 3 itens for him to do the move. Didn’t happen. Anyways, other than this struggle we had to find last minute another company who did a same day delivery for us and now I’m here doing this review from my couch! They were professional and fast and accountable. So yes, it’s possible to move on this conditions and we can’t stop life because of the snow. Our leasing office didn’t care about the snow when it comes to charge us extra money for keeping our furniture there. Be aware when hiring their service when they say for sure- because for sure never came to us, unfortunately.. Bad experience for us!

I’m an ex-military wife and dealt with numerous moving companies!!!! This was THEE WORST EVER!!!!!. The two movers appeared very in-experienced, young & one was constantly on the phone. Carlos, the mgr said he would cancel my move on the spot if I didn’t calm down for the fact I voiced my opinion of the incompetency and the 20 min wasted telling me what they were NOT moving. He put me in a position to continue with the move with very limited time to find an alternative. Granted, I had given the company my inventory weeks in advance. I was in a one bedroom apt, did NOT have heavy appliances, a living room set/dining room set or bedroom set (only a mattress/boxspring & night stands) the rest in boxes I had lined up and ready to move. I had just bought a new couch which they damaged and insulted me by offering a few dollars and Broke a wine glass. The movers asked me to put a 46” flat screen TV and other items in my compact car. If memory serves me correctly, I PAID THEM for a service AND they had a 17 ft truck. There’s No excuse for me moving and/or transporting ANYTHING!! You live and you learn!!!

This company broke my 55inch TV and is refusing to pay for a replacement. 11/1/2020 I requested this moving company "A Rate Moving LLC" from Groupon, a 2 man job to move about 15 boxes of items to my new apartment location, all items were in boxes with the exception of 2 flat screen TV's, a 26 inch AND Vizio 55 inch TV in which they carried them both from and to the 2nd floor at both locations. Once the job was complete I paid them $200 in cash, $185 for which I was quoted and a $15 tip which I wish I could take back. Later that evening, I turned on my 55inch TV, there was no picture and it had a large scratch within in the screen. While Carlos (Robert) the lead supervisor may come across charismatic and polite, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing!! I had to argue with him about them damaging it and he refuses to replace the TV which I paid $500 only 6 months ago for it and he is only wanting to pay me 60 cents per pound which equaled only $50 and I had to chase him down for that. I WILL NOT USE OR EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! They are frauds and liars with no integrity.

The movers came, but I had set up 2 drop off locations ahead of time. At the first drop off, towards the end, I started to help them with my boxes to speed up the time. I went downstairs since one of the guys were setting up my bed and supposedly my dresser/mirror. He came down stairs after 10 mins and followed me to the 2nd drop off location. When they finished that late evening, I went back home to see that my dresser was never put back together, only my bed. I called them the next day and the manager picked up and said since I didn’t babysit them and watched them the whole time , he wouldn’t send his men back to help me with the dresser that THEY took down. I paid almost $500 and I think that’s unfair to take down something and refuse to put it back up. I had to pay out of pocket to get a drill , wood nails and pay someone else to help move the dresser back against the wall. Please be aware of them. If you don’t have time to watch their EVERY move, I would use another company.

GO ELSEWHERE- I paid for 2 hours with 2 men and a truck and extra for a specialty 2 piece China cabinet to be moved along with a Queen bed, 2 dressers, dining room table with 6 chairs. Upon arrival, the 2 movers refused to move the China cabinet without an additional hour paid. I showed them that I had already paid for all items and extra for the cabinet. They still refused and started calling me curse names (obviously unaware I speak Spanish). They moved the 4 furniture items and 6 dining room chairs in 1 hour, but refused to set up my bed (set up also included in the contract). I noted the incomplete and unprofessional job in the paperwork when I paid in full. I called the company repeatedly about the job not being done as contracted as wells as being sworn at by the movers. No response. Very disappointing. I would rather pay more elsewhere than to be lied to, disrespected and ignored.

Well saw this on groupon needed to be out of my place asap the guy never answered the phone sent me a text and never replied until later on the next day mind you this was in the morning when I purchased this service they went ahead a redeemed the voucher and told me they can do nothing until Tuesday when I purchased and needed to move that Saturday prior Sunday came along and they had a vacancy so I agreed the guy was very rude laughing at me because I only paid for 2 hours then they don’t tell you this on Groupon the company will charge you a arm and a leg after you already lurched there service they even will charge you for gas even if you are just moving next door he said so they tried charging me a additional $300 ruffle for there service with the voucher I already had paid for!!!!!

Decent staff... wish there was better communication. We unfortunately scheduled our move in the middle of a winter storm which had unprecedented impact. They worked with us to reschedule, however there was an awful lack of communication between the reps and the actual movers/ staff. One would call and confirm my move , the other would call and reschedule. This happened twice after we intentionally rescheduled once. Or I would have to call to “double check” because they didn’t always call me first to keep us updated. Understanding that they want to keep themselves and their staff safe, it should have been better communicated. Also, it’s better if you must, to just book with the company directly. Groupon voucher doesn’t even cover the move and is very misleading.

The office manager was extremely unprofessional and rude. They showed up, didn’t call when they were on the way as most moving companies do. I was told that instead of rescheduling for later that day, I had to wait for it to stop raining and also pay for it. They were very u professional. Just save your money and go somewhere else, people like this are arrogant and don’t deserve your businesss. English is very horrible, and communication is very horrible. They will be hearing from my lawyer. Terrible moving company. Carlos has the nerve to call someone uneducated but im the one paying you to move my furniture. How much education do you need to move furniture. Carlos is arrogant and i will make sure everyone knows about this company

I would never use this service ever again. I’m not sure how it has so many high stared reviews. They ran out of room in their truck (which is not a full sized moving truck), showed up 40 minutes past the last hour frame they gave me and when they unpacked things at my new place they just all my boxes and half my items right where they walked in. I would be fine with all these things if their prices were what they indicated online ($111 for 3 hours). In total I paid $380 to move a bedroom and living room. For that price I would have used one of the big name professional moving services that would have gotten this done much quicker, more efficient AND actually moved all my items. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

I needed to vacate my apartment to move out when the unprecedented winter storm hit. They had to reschedule due to the hazardous roads and snow but kept me updated all the time in a professional manner. (I understand this weather screwed with everyone's every day activities). Thankfully, A Rating Moving were able to help me after rescheduling on a day that was still very hazardous to drive and they went ahead and fulfilled their bargain anyways (I can't appreciate that enough since I would have had to pay extra days at the apartment I was living in). They were really helpful and professional with the move and friendly as well. I would recommend their service to any of my friends or relatives.

I am SO thankful I found A Rating Moving. Their service was great and it only took the 2 young men 20 MINUTES to get all my furniture and boxes out of my house (2 story home) and into the truck! I was blown away and the cost was SO worth it (even though the price was very reasonable to start). Granted, I did not have much to move - 4 largeish furniture items (bed frame, mattress, small kitchen table, box spring) and a clump of boxes. I would recommend this company to everyone, I am so glad I found them!! The prices of other companies were absurd, esp since I did not have much to move. Thank you, A Rating Moving! I will need your help again in the future!

This is the moving company I initially used for my move to the apartments I am currently moving from today. I called and reserved my movers weeks and advance for them to get here and make every excuse under the moon to not want to move my items again. My items were still wrapped and ready to go from the last move and they tried to tell me it would take 4-5 hours this time which made no since at all. I really just feel like because of my race they totally just blew me off. I find this very unprofessional and poor of a service to wait until the day of my move to not be able to provide services. I would never use this company again.

My appointment was confirmed yesterday for today with the arrival window of between 4pm-7pm, it is currently after 7pm and I haven’t received a call as of yet as to an ETA. All of my sons and my things are in boxes ready to go and if no one was going to show up I would’ve been sure as to not pack anything and move things to the living room to make it easier for your movers. My friend used your company not too long ago and raved about your service and communication, I’m disappointed with the service I received today.

Terrible experience! In helping a friend, we were extremely disappointed. First the movers decided to leave furniture out allowing it to be stolen. The owner refused to take any responsibility and resorted to threats and insulting profanity. Instead of trying to do the right thing, he instructed his employees to lock up the items demanding payment and at an increase for slowing them down. What a racket!! Hopefully it was a one off but save yourself time, money and frustration- choose another company.

Moving my family of four from Phoenix to Dallas area. My wife and I had loaded the truck ourselves in Phoenix and it took us about two days. We decided when we arrived in Dallas to hire people to help. So glad we called A Rating Moving! They helped us out with a very last minute move on Mother's Day weekend and at a great price! Best of all, they had the truck unloaded and furniture in place in just under two hours. Highly recommended!

I hired these guys to help me move and they was the worst company I have ever hired. They didn’t take all my items, they didn’t wrap my furniture. I have a pair of $1400.00 suede chairs that they had dirty hand prints on my chairs and they refused to have my chairs cleaned. The guy went as far as blocking my number when I called him. Please don’t waste your time with a company that don’t value the people that hire them. Aweful company

Bought a Groupon and called them to make an appointment. No answer, so I texted Carlos. He replied asking if next week was okay. I asked him if Saturday next week was fine. Then I got a text from a different number named Carol. I gave her my information and she gave me the available times on Saturday. I then told her I had a Groupon. This was at 12:30 pm today, she hasn’t answered any text or call once I mentioned my Groupon.

Updated Review: At first I was not pleased but the owner reached out to me directly to make sure the concerns and problems I was having were resolved. It rained on the day of the move so he automatically sent 3 men instead of 2 just to be sure I was taken care of and called me personally on my move in day to be sure it went smoothly. I would recommend for sure! You can tell he cares about his business and his customers.

Happy customer They were on time, polite, helpful, careful, & moved quickly. There were no hidden fees or trouble scheduling. I wrapped my own furniture because I wanted to stay within my 2 hr window and For the same reason I had things ready to go when they got there. I definitely would use them again and I recommend them if you are looking for a mover. Thanks for a good experience!

The service was incredible and I definitely got my money’s worth. The two men were efficient and quick and were able to get me all moved out of my old apartment and into my new one in under three hours. They were friendly and cooperative and I will definitely be using them again when I move out! Seriously, the service was amazing, I recommend them to everyone.

Best moving company ever. They explained everything about the addtl fees and how groupon works. When they arrived they made sure to tell me how long my move was going to take since over the phone of course it is hard to determine that they promised they were going to do it when they arrive and they did and did ana amazing job. The company has been a pleasure to work with. The process has been simple and the movers were quick and professional. They made sure the day before that everything was still good to go and were able to work with me when there was a slight change to the plans. I’m super satisfied - I worked with Diego team. My items where already pack and ready to go, no loose items, however, they where VERY organized on time and priced right. I have very heavy furniture it was handle with care.1 bed room apartment under 3 hours including travel and yes! I tip very well. I definitely recommend.

The two movers they sent for me (didn’t catch their names) were AMAZING. They were punctual, efficient, and very organized. My things were already packed and ready to go. They handled everything with care and were done before the 3 hour time slot I booked. Would definitely use again!!!

Probably the best movers I've ever used. They made a very difficult process smooth as could be. Showed up first thing in the morning, got everything loaded, moved and unloaded in the time quoted. Scheduling was a piece of cake as well. Will definitely use them again!

They are super responsive and they work really quick. They also have an awesome Groupon to get your started. There are some extra costs like stairs and distance but they are very upfront about it before you book it. They do a great job would for sure recommend them.

We just had a huge winter storm in Texas. The ice was still spotty on the roads. There were 2 movers + 1 driver. They were fast, cautious, friendly, and kept well within my 3 hour limit. I highly recommend them and would use them again. - Kellye

Everything was moved safely and carefully. After the move was finished, there was some confusion about the final cost and hours/manpower initially agreed upon. The company listened to my concerns. The concern was resolved in a very fair manner.
