During the recent freeze our boiler broke down leading to no heating or hot water. I tried telephoning British Gas as we have home care with them. I couldn't get through I assume because of the amount of people trying to contact them. Even in the evening when I got through to the automated answer machine it just cut out! I tried the website which again was no help! My daughter told me about a post she had seen on Facebook and said she had linked me to it. It was the post from A S Plumbing & Gas Ltd. This post explained what could be the cause of our boiler breakdown and gave clear and simple remedies to use. My son, who had just arrived with some electric heaters for us, followed these instructions and within a couple of minutes we once again had heating and hot water. I cannot thank this company enough for having the initiative to use Facebook to post this information not for any monetary gain but just to help those who were in difficulty. This company does not work in my area - South Wales - but if they did they would be my go to plumbers. I would recommend anyone in the area they cover to go to this company first. Thank you once again.

This plumbing company is by far the best local plumbers I've dealt with. I had their service two times and every time they exceeded my expectations. They do care about your time, always spot on with suggestions and very quick to resolve the issues. I especially admire their video-call service, it's very convenient as it allows to diagnose the issue prior to booking someone in, I always felt sorry about a plumber's time as they come and often resolve the issue in 10 mins, so they spend more time travelling to the place rather than actually doing the job. In my occasion not only I got correct diagnosis of a plumbing issue but also he gave me direct instructions on how to resolve it, all that other a Skype call and it took 15 mins altogether. Also the cost was significantly lower than a home visit. Highly recommend these guys to you, for any kind of your plumbing requests!

Al and Son (founders) have to be two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Polite and professional, they listen and give sound advice, explaining in layman's terms and without any kind of hard sell. Son and Alfie removed my existing heat only boiler, hot water cylinder and cold water tank and installed a combi boiler. Son was upfront prior to work commencing that there were risks that existing parts (taps and toilets) may not stand up to the mains water pressure and that they would have to be dealt with should an issue arise - luckily for me, all was fine. The guys were on time, worked hard and tidied up at the end of each day. Inviting trades people into your home can be an intimidating experience, I can honestly say that I felt comfortable at all times.

During the big freeze, AS posted on Facebook a quick hack to get boilers going again. My 71yr old mother in law, who had 3 Star British Gas Service could not get through to them when the boiler failed. I spotted this hack from Sri Lanka, sent it her and she tried it. It worked!! We are so grateful to AS for providing real service when it mattered - sharing the benefit of their knowledge and experience. The power of the Internet!!! If you are local to them, please give them a try. My mother in law is cancelling her 3 Star and investing the £360 saved into maintenance and service from these guys!!

Fantastic job guys, very happy with everything! Can’t recommend highly enough, great customer service from Ashley who was very helpful and friendly on the phone and arranged a visit from Son the next day. Son diagnosed the problems and gave me a very reasonable quote, much cheaper than other quotes I’d received and the part was ordered and fitted as soon as it had arrived with no markup. Al who completed the work was a top bloke as well, down to earth and the kind of fella you’d wanna go for a pint with. No egos involved, just good honest reliable work, top drawer!

I can highly recommend the advice given to me by A S Plumbing concerning freezing of my outside pipe. Obviously overrun with so many people contacting them they put advice on Facebook to help people who were experiencing problems. I took their advice and my problem was solved. In future should I need to call a plumber out I would not hesitate to use them. For a company to put free advice up I think is incredibly thoughtful especially during a period where the country was covered in snow and they must have been so busy. Thank you AS Plumbing & Gas

We recently used Son for a new boiler. The customer service was fantastic, answering any queries really efficiently. They made sure the boiler was working properly, even contacting the gas board for us and getting them to come out and sort something. They stayed until the job was finished and were polite and efficient. Highly recommended.

These guys are amazing. After being messed around by various 'local' plumbers, these guys immediately visited the property, got the information they needed, ordered the part number (without any markup in price) and fitted it as soon as the part arrived. They have a decent hourly rate too. Highly recommended.

Sorted the leak on my cistern quickly and tested everything thoroughly which found a slight leak on a joint so replaced that too. Very pleased with their diligent service and a friendly plumber to boot.
