We were saved by the wonderful people at A-1 Leasing. We had a terrible experience with Phoenix Car Rental (WORST RENTAL COMPANY EVER). We called A-1 after turning around and coming back to Phx only 1 hr into our vacation with a fully packed 12-15 passenger van from Phx. Car Rental that was breaking down. The lovely folks at A-1 found a 2019 Ford Transit van for us in under an hour!! They expressed their concern for our unfortunate situation with the other company, and got us on the road in no time. The entire staff at A-1 were professional and helped turn a terrible start to a vacation into a very memorable and safe one that we will remember for years to come. If we ever need a 12-15 passenger van, we will rent from A-1 and I recommend you do too. Dave at the lot, even helped clean the other company's van before we returned it so we would not be charged a "cleaning fee!!" That is amazing customer service. Thanks everyone at A-1!!

A1 Van Rental is THE best! Not only are they friendly, pleasant to deal with, but they are also very flexible, accommodating, and polite. They answer their phone and respond to emails extremely fast. I am a college baseball coach and we had some dates move around due to a flight cancellation. A1 not only helped us to ensure we had vans for our team, but communicated back to us promptly. This was also during their busiest part of the year. They, by far, exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough good things about them. As far as I am concerned, if you are looking for a rental van in the Phoenix, AZ area; A1 Van Rental is the ONLY place you should go to. I was organizing a trip to Angel Fire, NM to ride mountain bikes at the bike park there. I had 10 people with bikes that wanted to go on the trip. A-1 had a 12 passenger van (plenty of cargo space in the back for the luggage!). I also needed to get 10 mountain bikes transported 567 miles to the condo we rented. It was no problem since A-1 had a 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer for rent. We got all 10 bikes to and from our destination with out a scratch or and they were securely locked up on our food stops. I booked this all online and both the pick up, and drop off was quick and efficient. I also want to point out that the staff there are all really friendly and made you feel like your business is appreciated. Thank you!

Don't rent anywhere else! My family and I rented a 12 seat van for a weekend trip. A-1 had the best prices and BEST customer service.The van we got was very clean and ran perfectly, it made our trip very enjoyable. On the way back into town there was an accident on the highway and we were not able to meet the time we were supposed to drop off our van. We called from the road and explained our situation since we were worried we would get charged another day. They completely understood and told us to take our time and drop off the next morning with no additional charges. Very nice people who truly care about their customers. Will be the only place we get rental vans from now on!

About a year and a half ago I had to deliver a van back to them for a customer of ours who rented their van I offered to deliver their van to them and bring the rental back to a_1Rental and when I got to the location I asked how to get to the nearest shuttle back to my home town and the sales person said that if I can give him 10 minutes and they could take me there after a few minutes a guy rolls up and says Hop in that car and he took me straight to the shuttle at the airport and I was back home to spend the day with my family what awesome customer service and thanks for the service

This is Ram and we rented a 7 seater from A1 rentals during the Christmas vacation (23rd -27th , 2017) and it ended with not so good experience . we were given a Old KIA with more than 75k miles - Initial acceleration was wierd where in the Car accelerated inconsistently creating panic with people inside, Brake was average, Gas mileage on the car was bad , where-in it warranted frequent Gas fill stops and resulted loss of money and time. Bluetooth in the car was also not working. Overall , the quality of the vehicle provided was pathetic and the experience was nothing less than bad.

easy process renting a van. we had to have a passenger van while our work passenger van had to be worked on, so we didn't know how long we would need this rental, had it rented until Thursday 2 days if needed. turns out we only needed it a few hours, returned van in 3 1/2 hours. was charged for 1 full day, would not just charged for 1/2 day which I thought would be reasonable price to charge. check out person said no have to charge full-day. my opinion is that is not good customer service. that is why only 2 stars

I give A-1 rentals a 5 star for sure! Very convenient from the beginning with online booking available and staff always just a phone call away. Reasonable rates and the van we rented was clean and ran great, no issues. Ernie is awesome and takes care of you as soon as you enter those gates...way to go Ernie! Staff is very kind and welcoming and answered all my questions. Thank you A-1 rentals for being a part of our family Disneyland memories, we'll definitely be back!

I have rented vans several times a year for at least the last ten years. The vans are always newer low milage units in great condition. They are well maintained and having traveled any where from 700 miles to 6000 miles round trip, their vans have never broken down or left me stranded. It is a family business and you can tell they really care about their customers. If you need a van for a local rental or an across country excursion you can't go wrong with A-1 Vans

The office and surrounding area isn't anything great to look at but, the vehicles are overall clean, not brand new and there were stains but for the price it was perfect! Customer service was spot on from all staff we were in contact with!! They walked around the van with us and pointed out dents and imperfections to ensure we were happy. There were no extra charges and the price was really what was quoted. Definitely a place we will rent from again.

Seriously the most kind people to deal with. They stayed open after 6 to make sure I was able to get the van I rented (had some road closures that made Mt drive longer to get to them) and weren't put out by it at all. Everyone was super friendly. Clean van, great staff! If we ever need another rental we will go back there. Also, they let me keep my personal vehicle there and locked up with their fleet. Definitely recommend these guys!

Hands down this is the best place to rent a van in Arizona. Whether for personal, church or business use these vans are the best value and the least hassle. My friends and I have been leasing here for the past 20 years. Not one of us ever had a problem with a van or a problem in the leasing of it. When you go there you are looking forward to working with the staff because of how nice they were the last time. I'm not exaggerating.

Wow, for the price we paid compared to other rentals we are SO HAPPY with our services. You have an opportunity to check all of the van before you leave to ensure your not responsible, we used for a group of 9 girls, didn't think of luggage situation and they immediately didn't waste time taking a seat our which made it POSSIBLE! Best rental experience! Needed a van for a hockey event over President's Day weekend. Dave was fantastic to work with; amazing customer service!! Pricing was exactly as quoted (and very reasonable), van was ready and waiting for me when I arrived, and they accommodated an early morning drop off. Easy to get to from the airport, and without the hassle of long lines that I normally find at the typical car rentals.

I rented a wheelchair van and the car overheated. I waited 40 minutes under heat until be picked up by friend and drop their car off. I call them and they said bring it back. Then I asked for reimbursement and Dave who called himself the manager said this is bowl s***t and no money would be reimbursed. He was rude and impolite. I picked up the car at 11 am and it was overheating at 2 o’clock.

Of course, I'm back for another rental. Never disappointed. Got a 12 passenger Ford Transit. Good mpgs, clean, seats 11 + driver comfortably and has plenty of room for luggage. Oh yeah, if you want to play your preferred tunes, I would recommend purchasing one of these from O'Reilly's. It's a must when you're using someone else's vehicle. Just don't forget it when you're done lol!

A-1 is phenomenal! The Arizona Emerald Society Pipes and Drums have been utilizing this company for almost 10 years. The staff is incredibly kind and make sure their customers have the right kind of vehicle. Their fleet of vans are beautifully maintained and reliable. If you are considering booking a van for or near a holiday, I recommend reserving it at least two weeks before.

The vans are old specially if you are hitching a trailer. Please confirm on the mileage of the van you would be getting before making the deal. The a/c was not strong and it could not keep up to the death valley heat. People were friendly though. I would have loved to provide a 5 star rating but unfortunately cannot. Was expecting a lot more.

We rented a mini van to drive to Baja California. We take this family trip once a year to visit family. A-1 makes all the necessary arrangements (choice of vehicle, Mexican insurance, etc.) For five years, all we have to do is tell them the dates and go pick it up. This company is incredible to work with. 5 star all the way!

These guys are the best. You can't beat their prices, I use them to go to California and Mexico several times a year. They are super easy to work with, reasonable, I have NEVER had any kind of a problem with the rental or service! If I were to run a business I would want to run it like they do at A-1 Van Rental and Leasing.

People behind the counter are very nice and helpful. The van I rented (12 passenger Ford Transit) had very low miles for a 2019. Van was in excellent condition. We had no issues with it on our trip to the north rim of the grand canyon. Entrance into the lot is slightly difficult since it is on a divided one way street.

I've rented the 12 passenger vans nearly a dozen times for work to transport 6 to 9 people while we review road corridors. The rates are excellent. The vans are always clean and in good working order. The vans have back up cameras. The people are friendly and easy to work with. I'll definitely continue using A-1.

We rented two vans for a men's soccer tournament. A1 was great to work with! Josh and his staff were exceptionally helpful and very accommodating. What we got is an old 7 seater van with mechanical issues - the car would say the door is open when you are in the freeway, no camera while backing up, pathetic brakes and uncomfortable seats. Don’t rent here without checking twice if you are traveling with kids
