"This is a dreadful place, and I always avoid it now"
"Bratty cashier with black dirt under uncut fingernails was walking around the store reciting whatever welcoming mumbo-jumbo he's learned at staff training in a contrastingly monotone voice, repeatedly, at customers who were browsing and minding their own business, out of, my guess, pure desperation with the working environment"
"They have a dedicated Lacura stand here for all the beauty products which are quite blatantly d00ps of high end products"
"Important today - Aldi is one of the cheapest supermarkets in Dublin"
"Very handy Store located at busy bus stop"
This is a dreadful place, and I always avoid it now. There is always mayhem at the tills, and I have phoned them to complain about it. One till is open, and the queue goes back to almost the salad fridge area. No sign of another till opening. Badly run. Nightmare. People able to skip the queue. Small amount of special buys. You go on the day of offer, two hours after opening, gone just gone. You'd be better going to a bigger store elsewhere. Their house champagne tasted like a wet sponge that had been left there for weeks, and rose is the most awful and dreadful tasting crap I ever tasted. I'll never forget tasting the Rose at Christmas time. It tasted like dirty nappies!! Never again.
Bratty cashier with black dirt under uncut fingernails was walking around the store reciting whatever welcoming mumbo-jumbo he's learned at staff training in a contrastingly monotone voice, repeatedly, at customers who were browsing and minding their own business, out of, my guess, pure desperation with the working environment. Workers in general harried, visibly frustrated, sharing bits of whatever is the current drama amongst themselves while at the tills with customers in between. Fresh vegetables though. Great prices. Toxic workplace.
They have a dedicated Lacura stand here for all the beauty products which are quite blatantly d00ps of high end products. The checkouts have two sections at the bottom so they can process customers faster - that being said it can be a bit nerve-wracking to type in your PIN code to the point of sales terminal when the previous customer is shoulder to shoulder with you packing their bags. A privacy shield or at least a cover for entering PINs could help. The shop stays open til 10 and is quite accessible being on three main bus routes.
Important today - Aldi is one of the cheapest supermarkets in Dublin. Extra value are the Event Specials and the Big Six food offers. I bought extra storage space for only €25 with a door shelf kit for my kitchen. There's a fast turnover so everything is fresh. It's not easy to find a tasty one but their frozen jumbo sausages are up there, and get the cheapest honeycomb ice cream for dessert. Amazing prices with essential and useful and really cheap gadget ideas. Note that Lidl is like their twin.
Very handy Store located at busy bus stop. Love their biscuit selection as well as their bakery. Staff are very friendly. Notice they don't have a newspaper + magazine section any more. Pity - with it being at a very busy bus stop as well as a Travelodge and a new Student Accommodation Hub, and with the two local newsagents having closed down - it would be beneficial to the Store, the locals feel, to reinstall this section, thus saving them the trip to Aldi's rival store (Lidl) down the street!
I wouldnt go there again 2 reasons. 1st is health concerns 2nd is Palm oil is supported in many products such as their oat cakes: So as follows Today nothing happened nothing or was said by staff member to deter them when the person after me progressed along the belt to stand facing the checkout staff member. I had to ask the nx person to stand back until I had packed my 9 items. The aldi staff member was clearly an experienced person manning the check out 2nd furthest from the entrance.
I'd tried buy few beers today and the guy asked to me ID so I gave to him my GNBI because I'm student and the same guy didn't accept because he told me is not a ID I need my passport or Drive licence, I don't have drive licence and who walks with passport? Him? I don't think so, and he so talking loud to me causing me embarrassment, I never step on that place again.
I visit Aldi shop every other day. It's the primary shop for my shopping. The prices are cheap as compared to Spar, tesco etc and quality is great. You can get everything whatever you need for your day today life. I visited tesco as well but they sell same product with high price. Overall I am highly satisfied with the product quality I get and prices for them.
The newly redesigned Aldi here is great - same space but revamped to take in a much more convenient shopping experience. Lots of new lines and with a bakery, although the latter does not have the same varied types of breads as Lidl across the road. Lovely and very chatty staff too, which is always great to have in a retail shop as busy as this Aldi.
Nice Aldi. Though it is relatively small it tends not to run out of stock and has most of the basics. Good value & generally good quality. A much better choice than the dingy Tesco down the road and the much pricier but lower quality Dunnes store in the Rathmines shopping centre.
My favourite shopping spot. They have very nice deals all week for several fruits and vegetables. They have healthier options too. Love their flowers and fruits section. They have a lot of candies, chocolate and confectionaries too. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Cashiers look they are trying to beat a world record of who is the faster scanning items. Surely a company policy but too much for a customer service point of view. I know it's a discount shop, but guys, chill down a little bit and everyone would be happier
This Aldi is a good store, it is just a little bit small and when they are stocking the shelves there are trolleys all over the place and as I am semi parellised I find it difficult to shop in that store although the staff are very helpful ☺️
Not a lot of variety but they have lots of your basics for cheap. The produce quality is pretty bad though. The watermelons we're squishy and the bell peppers were rotten so you gotta be careful but packaged foods are generally good!
Nice place. But something that really come to my mind every time I go is: why do they have the crips around the place and they don't have an actual place for them? They also have them close to the cleaning products (!!)
Excellent selection of everything for one of the smaller aldis, has been consistently good over the years. It's ideally located and the area has every major grocery retailer, bar SuperValu, within a minutes walk.
Decent store, for me it was just a quick walk-in for some snacks - got what I wanted in reasonable time. Staff was friendly, no complaints there. Cards of all sorts accepted, Google Pay works ok.
Shop very clean & well stocked. Opening times are very good. The prices of goods there are very competitive. My only criticism would be that there are not enough till points open at power hours.
Small with reduced selection. Out of date meat products still on shelves at full price. They need better controls. Mark down products approaching their use-by or sell-by date.
My local always busy but run effectively so ques are never to long. One of my favorites for groceries and often bargains I wouldn't find anywhere else 10/10
Very neat & tidy small store. There was not a lot of choice when I was there. The veggies & fruit was fresh. The staff were friendly & efficient.
Love shopping in Aldi stores. Good quality fresh products at reasonable prices. They have fresh cookies which we enjoy with ny kids.
Local store, great prices and excellent service. Store assistants are very helpful, nice and polite.
Really good range of products to find with a good quality and price is reasonable
Staff very friendly. Lots of food items short dated. Prices reasonably priced.
Great option for quick groceries with some of the best prices in the area
It's a good supermarket if you want to save on fruit and vegetables
Small store with limited range of products..
