I am a current student of the program I should be finished in about a month this training center is very nice and well maintained. The aircraft as at all locations are well maintained. The staff seem to be nice also I'm currently down at this location during CFI academy which lasts for 2 more weeks and everyone seems nice so far.
Horrible experience the 8 months I was at ATP. I had to leave the program to attend Sterling down the road which is BY FAR a better flight school. I would never recommend anyone going to atp in Jacksonville. I’m sure other locations are run more efficiently and effectively, but the Jacksonville location is not.
You get out what you put in. If you are lazy and don’t put in the work, then you are going to have a poor experience. If you do, ATP will be the best decision you can make. Absolutely the fastest program out there, and you will become a safe knowledgeable pilot, if you work at it.
Avoid this flight school. They don’t care about your training, just how much money they can squeeze out of you. I learned more in a online ground school course in a month than I did in the entire time I was there getting my private. Don’t waste your money, go elsewhere!
Horrible experience, could be great if the monitored their younger instructors closer. Unfortunately they only care about how much their instructors fly and not about what type of ground training they provide. Plenty of other options these days.
Was involuntary removed from the program pre-solo cross country (still very much in a learning phase) for failing to configure properly in a stage check; this was after 22K$ of instruction. Director at the time told me I could return to the
I had a good and bad experience with this school, it is a part 61 so most of the work is put on you but at this specific location they don't seem to care very much whether or not you pass. I made some mistakes during my training which I
CFI initial failures. I’m hearing that this rate is extremely high at Arlington Texas ATP. Can someone from ATP management discuss? If CFI Initial Failure rate is very high, there’s a training problem or DPE issue or Both. Prospective
So glad I chose this school, went from 0 time to single engine, multi engine and instrument instructor in 9 months. Takes some studying and dedication but it is all worth it. Instructor and students were phenomenal and it felt like a
Hey All! To get started I'd like to be totally Transparent. I am a Flight Instructor at this location. However It should be known that I also did all of my training with ATP at this location as well.
Wasted my time and my money. Sat for weeks at a time without a single flight. Routinely went 5 weeks without flying before a checkride. Save yourself and go anywhere else.
Great experience, looking at starting my pilots class. Very friendly staff. Looking forward to going here
Clean facilities, knowledgeable and friendly instructors. What else can you asked?
A waste of your time and money.
