On Oct 7th 2022, I had a regular cleaning with the hygienist. Upon entering the office I'm greeted with this policy of paying before my appointment starts. I'm told this is to help move patients in and out faster. The problem is they won't know all the services you're going to receive that day and charge you the right amount. So you'll have to stop at the front again. Last time I had a fluoride application and had to stop to get charged again. Checking out at the end like you would for any service is tried and true. Not sure what they're trying to do with this change. I've been a regular patient at this office and have been very happy with the service up to this point. The hygienist was new to me but I don't know if she's new to the office. Everything was well and fine until she started cleaning my permanent retainer. She was using excessive pressure that I hadn't experienced in any prior cleaning and she broke the retainer. I wasn't concerned honestly because I thought they'll do the right thing and take care of it. I asked for my retainer to be removed and they said they'll give me a quote on the treatment plan. The quote was $465 and it was their mistake. I made them aware I wasn't going to proceed with the plan and just to remove the retainer. While I was waiting for the doctor to see me one of the admins comes up to me to show me the same sheet of paper with the treatment plan I was shown prior with the quote. I told her I already said I'm not doing that and she said "if you'll just read it". It said zero dollars, I thought great they're doing the right thing here. I go back to the chair and I'm asking about the scans. One of the assistants was confused and asked me to go brush my teeth and she'll be back. When I get back to the chair, the person there who I think is the office manager apologizes that there's been a confusion. The paper I was being handed for zero dollars was for removing the retainer they broke and not for a new replacement. I think it was a given they weren't going to charge for removing the retainer they broke but it was very disappointing they didn't honor a replacement that was their mistake. I don't know if this change in service is due to them being popular and getting busy. But I've already started looking for another office that treats their patients fairly.
ATX Family Dental is, hands down, the best dental office I have ever been to. The inviting and soothing environment instantly puts you at ease, and the front office staff greets you with smiles and warmth, giving the impression that they truly prioritize your experience. During my first and only visit, I had a checkup and cleaning with Cailee, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and thorough in her work. She showed me some imaging of my teeth and eagerly answered any questions I had. It was incredibly refreshing to be a patient at an office where they value ensuring you leave with all the necessary information rather than simply rushing through appointments. After the cleaning, I saw Dr. Amanda Vinh for my oral exam and to review the results from the hygiene visit. Dr. Vinh has a calming and kind demeanor, taking the time to discuss everything in detail according to my preferences. She patiently addressed all my questions about the results, explaining them in a way that was easy to understand, even for a non-technical person like myself. This was a pleasant surprise as it saved me from having to ask "what does that mean?" It was even more remarkable considering she was attending to multiple patients simultaneously, yet she made me feel like I was the sole focus of her attention. These small gestures turn an ordinary visit to the dentist into a truly enjoyable experience and motivate me to schedule regular checkups. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at ATX Family Dental. There isn't a single thing I would have changed or asked for during my first visit. I highly recommend this dental office if you're seeking the best dental care, a relaxing and professional environment, and the opportunity to support a local business rather than a corporate chain.
I have very bad dental anxiety, but I have a toothache that last night caused me legitimately some of the worst pain I have ever felt, so I finally decided to swallow my fears and get it addressed. As soon as I walked into this place, I saw a sign at the front desk that said “Everything is Figureoutable”, which is the exact phrase my mom always says to me when I’m going through something tough, so immediately I had a good feeling about this place. And the visit itself was great. Everyone who worked there was very kind and patient with me and understanding of my anxieties, and they were very helpful in answering any of my questions and explaining to me what the issue was with my tooth and what my options were for proceeding. Definitely recommend —UPDATE: The next day, the pain was so bad that I couldn’t eat at all, and none of the pain medications that had been prescribed to me were working, so I called here in a bit of desperation asking them if they knew of literally anywhere in the Austin area that could take my tooth out that day (it was a broken wisdom tooth with the nerve exposed). Bethany took my call and expressed a very sincere sympathy, and told me she would look into it. 15 minutes later, she called me back and told me she had found an oral surgeon who said they could take me in that day. 4 hours later, the tooth was out of my mouth. To top that off, about half an hour after I got home from the oral surgeon, I got a text from Bethany checking in to make sure I was doing alright. I cannot express enough how absolutely above and beyond she went for me that day, and I am so grateful to her for not making me have to go even a single extra day with that impossibly excruciating pain.
We've loved Dr. Adam and his staff since our first visit 3 years ago. We picked his practice because we lived South and it was convenient for us. Since then, we've moved North, but we still go to ATX Family Dental because they've been absolutely amazing. They are all incredibly warm and friendly, Dr. Adam has a great bedside manner and sense of humor, and we've always had appointments start and end on time. The clinic is easy to get to, always impeccable, and they have great music and TVs on the ceiling above the chair to keep your mind off the drills. Scheduling is a breeze and I love the text and email reminders I get from them. I've (luckily) never had anything major done, but I like that Dr. Adam and his staff stick to non-invasive treatments and they are thorough when explaining the course of treatment, costs, and any alternatives. My most recent visit was my first time for a checkup after having a baby, and I appreciated how nice and accommodating everyone was. At one point, Victoria, Dr. Adam's wife popped in to chat with my baby as she was about to break into a meltdown. Because of Victoria , the meltdown was averted and I was able to complete my check up without a major hitch. Little things like that are what distinguish this as a family practice and one of the many reasons we keep coming to ATX Family Dental. I highly recommend Dr. Adam and his team!
Really put off by the money grubbing nature of this business. I paid for a membership, they DIDN’T give me the cleaning that comes with it (had to pay additional), I have to do that a second visit for the free one only a month later. I had an appointment scheduled for a few weeks from now and was on the waitlist— they called a couple of days ago to tell me something opened up same day, I couldn’t make it; they then told me about another appointment in a few days and under duress I said yes despite being scheduled weeks in in the future. I tried to cancel the appointment this weekend, Bethany told me she will charge me for 2 missed appointments despite giving them 48 hours notice. I told her ball was in her court and I would leave a review and she told me I am not welcome back there even for my July appointment because we are not “aligned” and now keeping my deposit for the fillings. Money traps at EVERY corner. When I did go in I thought the technician did a good job on me but sad to say that people like Bethany really sour the business portion of it by creating scams at every corner of this business.
Like everyone else I avoid the dentist at all costs. Upon entering ATX family dental you immediately feel relaxed with the chic fun decor and friendly receptionists. Everything from the decor to the cute glasses they put on you during your exam/X-rays is awesome. My hygienist was super friendly and careful because I am terrified of all things dentist related. Dr. Adam had a chill laid back vibe and made sure I was comfortable as well. They give you a treatment plan with pricing and also give options of what you definitely should do and ones that are just recommendations. Then today. The real super hero's stepped in. Have you ever dreamt you lost your teeth and wake up panicked? Well... I woke up and had actually lost a tooth (veneer) I PANICKED because it's Friday and I couldn't go a whole weekend like that. Dr. Adam hadn't done my veneers but since he's my current dentist I called as soon as they were open and he met me there to take care of it for me immediately. He truly saved the day(and my smile) Thank you ATX family dental for treating me like family!
After a bad protein bar destroyed one of my back teeth, I had a emergency situation and was looking for help. ATX family dental not only moved things around to find a same-day appointment, they were helpful, kind and sensitive to the issues I was dealing with. We all worry about money especially when it comes to dentistry. They took care of my pain and issues first and worried about money later, helping to draft an affordable payment plan we could both agree on. I plan on going here for all my dental needs in the future. Would highly recommend. Update: Having gone back and getting my permanent crown, Dr. Adam's work is spectacular. The crown fits wonderfully and I'm eating burgers again. He even followed up personally asking if anything could have been improved. I say none. I admire his dedication to perfection and exemplary work; Truly a man who has mastered his trade.
Clean professional business. They should revisit their sales strategies however. Upon arrival they attempted to sell me on their membership plan. I declined and was presented with a price for my daughters cleaning. Seemed high, asked what it included and they included a treatment without asking. After asking for a treatment to be removed they performed a really short cleaning on my daughter. The dentist came in for 2 mins checked off and told the hygienist to do the treatment I declined earlier. At checkout I was informed there was an additional charge for "special" x-rays beyond the ones I already paid for. Apparently asking my 10 year old if she has sensitivity to cold (her reply was maybe sometimes) resulted in these special x-rays. The whole experience really rubbed me the wrong way. Had to get back to work or would have argued the charge. Instead I won't return.
Great service and great environment. I went in after a long time of dental neglect and ATX Dental has set me on the right track. For someone like me who had to get a lot done, it got expensive fast. The talk of treatment and expenses became overwhelming, but they take the time to explain your plan of treatment and what your insurance covers with a printout you can get a copy of. Obviously not everything gets done at the same time, and they work with you, so it is not a huge finical hit. I also enjoy that there is a TV on the ceiling you can watch while they work on your mouth. You even get headphones and get to choose what you watch since they have all the basic streaming apps. I went them because a friend highly recommended ATX Dental and after my experience, I have already started sending friends to them as well.
My husband switched jobs and with that new dental insurance. Sadly, ATX is out-of-network. I just had my first appointment with another office near the area, and I can 100% say that I will be missing the ATX dental office. I could see the CLEAR difference in care from the dental hygienist and dentists. At ATX Dental, they took the time to talk me through anything they would be doing on my teeth, and I could tell that they had attention to detail when working on cleanings, fillings, etc. They worked with my sensitive teeth, and altered they way they worked with me when dealing with my dental work because of it. At my cleaning at the new office, the dentist was in and out in like 3 minutes. Definitely not the same experience I got from this office. Going to miss ATX Family Dental. Hopefully, one day, I can be back.
Get a second opinion from a different office for $$$ work. They told me I needed an invasive root canal & implant before I could get a crown. Upon second opinion, the root canal & implant was deemed unnecessary. It was the first time I was told that should I ever eventually need a root canal in the future, they could do it with the crown already in. I had enough tooth structure left from a cracked tooth that the implant was avoided. As an autoimmune individual, it was especially important to avoid permanent metal in my mouth. I spent a month wallowing over how I afford ATX's plan before I found Enamel Dentistry (who did free Xrays too). ATX Family quoted me $3351, and with the other provider I was able to get the treatment I truly needed for $1210. ATX didn't give me an option of just having a crown.
Great dentist! Plus COVID precautions taken seriously. ATX Family Dental is managed and operated professionally and I’m always impressed with the care they put into their practice. I’ve been over five times now for cleanings, fillings, night guard fittings and have worked with several different members of the dental staff over the past year or two. All of the employees have been fantastic, the hygienists are thorough and knowledgeable, the dentist never keeps me waiting and does not try to sell me on anything. The office is cute, clean and modern. Had multiple negative experiences at Aloha Dental with crazy wait times, dentist double booking me, poor administration, sales tactics for unnecessary procedures (dentist was nice herself, but poor management). So glad I found ATX Family Dental!
Ludicrous price increases that aren't communicated until the last minute. Expect to be charged a cancellation fee after you realize there's been a 38% price hike on your wellness plan. Edit response: Please refer back to those texts to see that I did not acknowledge the price increase as you stated and that roughly 1 hour after the price increase text, a text was sent to confirm that I'd be charged if I decide to cancel. Edit again... I don't want to go back and forth. I feel I've accurately described the interaction. I'm looking at the texts now. A text was sent at 10:57am on Monday stating the price increase, followed by a text at 12:27pm that same day reminding me that I'd be charged if I cancel. That is 1.5 hours. Certainly you could give people more warning.
Dr. Amanda and the team were really kind and empathetic to my needs and financial constraints. They quickly contacted my insurance, developed a plan, and went over the options with me very thoroughly. They also were able to get me in for a filling the same day as my initial visit, which was very relieving. The office itself is really modern, has a laid back vibe, despite being a pretty busy place. Feels both futuristic, vintage 50’s, relaxing, and very hip. When you’re there for an appointment, you feel like you’re at the place to be. The procedure rooms are very mellow and calming, and they have TVs with Netflix and HBO Max that you can watch while getting work done. I feel confident in making Dr. Amanda and the team at ATX Family Dental my new go to.
Front office staff was so well organized and I loved being able to fill out all of my forms digitally. Shelby was the perfect amount of sociable to me and didn’t stress me out with small talk at the beginning of my exam. Dr. Amanda was truly such a blessing. I was really stressed out coming into my appointment thinking a million things were wrong with me, but she was wonderful about alleviating my fears and letting me know what was a priority and what we could take some time with. I would recommend ATX family dental to anyone who hasn’t been to the dentist in a while and is a little stressed about everything that could go wrong. I’m excited to make this my dental office and will be so much more comfortable and at ease at my next appointment. ❤️
This place was awesome! It was recommended to me by a friend who lives in my apartment complex. I am new to Austin and was looking for a dentist. I hadn't been to a dentist in almost 5 years (due to life/financial/other reasons) plus I have really bad dental anxiety. I was dreading this appointment, but the Dr. Adam and Haley were amazing! They are very forthcoming about what they will be doing and what to expect and any associated costs. They also offered opportunities for Nitrox if I needed it, and answered all my questions. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and my teeth feel so clean now! I'm happy that it ended up actually being a great experience! I will definitely be recommending ATX Family Dental!
I had a great experience with Dr Adam and his team. The atmosphere is friendly but professional. I was initially surprised that my first new patient appointment would be so long--two hours--but the dentist and hygienist were very thorough and comprehensive so it made sense why they needed so much time. I ended up having a small cavity in one of my molars but the hygienist had spotted it first and warned me that it might be the case which eased the news when Dr Adam confirmed it. When i returned for the filling (which admittedly no one looks forward to) Dr Adam and his assistant made the process feel straight forward and easy. I haven't thought about the tooth since. Added bonus: there are TVs on the ceiling!
I am in love with this place. So many people don’t like the dentist, me included, and quite frankly I could’ve hung out with the staff and been there all day if I needed to. I learned so much, I was told how to understand my own X-rays and nothing was hidden from me. Every detail was explained (I asked for them to talk through the process) and it really made me comfortable. Other places I’ve been to I usually shake in the seat but here I was so happy and relaxed. Professional but fun which is hard to find. Prices were so reasonable and I wasn’t scared to pull my card out especially being a cash patient. After tons of bad experiences in different cities and states, this place = 100000/10 would recommend.
Great dentists and hygienists at ATX Family Dental. I have met with Dr. Amanda and Adam and they are both highly skilled, explain everything clearly, give you multiple treatment options, and allow you to choose with no pressure. I also like the technology that they use, they take macro pics of all your teeth and show you the problems at 10x. Lastly, they are not overrun with patients, so there is room in the schedule to book without waiting months. If you are in need of a new dentist you should give them a try for sure. BTW I am a single guy with no kids, so even though it says family dental they are good for anyone.
I had a very pleasant experience at ATX Family Dental. I was having a hard time getting into any dentist around Austin due to them being backed up and ATX was able to get me in right away to check on my cavity. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time so I was nervous about going in, but I got nothing but smiles and comforting words from the women who work here. The offices are also very clean the waiting room is comfortable. They have TVs on the ceiling and offer Netflix as you're getting a filling! I will definitely be using this office as my main dentist and highly recommend it to anyone in the Austin area!
I’ve had two experiences here that went above and beyond my expectations so far. Haley is the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had- she really cared about my experience as a patient, walked me through everything, and did an amazing job on my gums (as seen in follow up X-rays!) Can honestly say I’ve never wanted to stay at the dentist instead of going back to work before. Dr. Ida was so patient with me during my first emergency appointment too. The phone and front desk staff have also done a great job at answering any questions and sometimes before I even have to ask. Anjelica was so helpful! Thank you all.
My recent visit to Dr. Amanda's dental practice was exceptionally pleasant. Jasmin and Fernanda, made me feel at ease from the start. Dr. Amanda's attentiveness and expertise were evident throughout, and her genuine care for patients was reassuring. What truly stood out was the warm and professional atmosphere created by the entire team. Jasmin and Fernanda, in particular, were sweet and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The overall experience left me feeling well taken care of and appreciative of a dentist and team that prioritize both oral health and patient satisfaction.
I spent a lot of time researching dentists in austin that my insurance covered. I was nervous going into my appointment today b/c I only had the internet to hear reviews. ATX family dental rocked it. Everyone at the facility from front desk to hygienist to dentist were exceptional. Big shout out to the hygienist (Polli) — she was very thorough, explained every detail to me, was gentle and reviewed insurance/finances with me. I wish more offices were as detail oriented and educational as this one. Highly recommend. (Please note I’ve only done a cleaning no major appointments yet).
Excellent overall experience. Front desk and reminders are prompt and friendly, every hygienist has been beyond competent, and Doctor Adam is straight forward and truly compassionate. All that said, I am compelled to write a review (I almost never) because of Sandy. I’m pretty sure she’s a hygienist; but that title hardly paints the picture of her knowledge, ownership of work, and incredible organization. A five star dental office even without Sandy, but with her?! 10* (For reference, I have been to 3 other dentists in Austin, and none of them want me to write a review )
After asking to reschedule the work that was suggested by ATX Family Dental due to financial reasons, I was encouraged to move forward right away and try using a third party credit lender. I didn’t feel great about doing this but was perhaps too easily persuaded. I was denied and ended up paying over $900 that day. I had 2 separate insurance providers at the time. Months later the company sends me an email stating that I owe over $250 because the insurance provider paid less than they expected. Terrible business practices. Although, the actual dental work was decent.
Great dentist and staff! The hygienist was very efficient, communicative, and accommodating to my tooth sensitivities. Dentist is very kind, personable, peppy, and knowledgeable. He is a former elementary school teacher and you can tell! The experience was so seamless I ended up signing up for their wellness plan which provides 2 cleanings and exams annually, as well as discounts on any other services. It is cheaper than my employers dental insurance and definitely a good deal considering price/market value and quality of care. Thank you!
I love ATX Family Dental. My job recently had a mobile dentist come that provides routine cleanings on the company's dime and I didn't do it so I could still come here. Dr. Adam is really personable and will actually give you good information for any questions you have. Usually my hygienist is Polli, who I love, but on my most recent visit I got Haley, who I also loved. Great personality, care and attentiveness for both of them. They also have modern equipment and a stylish and clean facility. Definitely recommend coming here.
I usually dread going to the dentist and know I'm not alone in that, but ATX Family Dental really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable experience. Even a simple teeth cleaning can be scary when you've had dental trauma, but Polly who has cleaned my teeth twice now, was so great at asking me if I was okay and telling me everything she was doing while she was doing it. Dr. Adam is also great and every staff member I've interacted with at the front desk. Thank you guys for such wonderful and caring service!
Really great place. Hip decor and S. Congress location made me worry that they would try to make money off of me with unnecessary services, but that wasn't the case at all— they stuck very close to my insurance coverage, no surprises. Dr. Adam was really kind and spent more time with me than any dentist ever has, probably a half hour (I've always had the kind who pop in after the hygenist is done cleaning, glance at my mouth, then leave). Very laid back and chill office environment. Fantastic experience overall
The staff here is excellent and welcoming. Everyone is very knowledgeable and personable and they don’t push you to get any services done that are not necessary, they merely make suggestions and make you feel comfortable with whatever decision you make. There is even a TV on the ceiling that you can watch while getting a cleaning or work done! (Sometimes conversation with the hygienist is even better than watching TV though) I’d recommend ATX dental to anyone moving to Austin and in search of a great dentist.
I rarely write reviews but I just had my first visit at ATX Family Dental and it was a great experience. The vibe is very relaxed and cozy, and my hygienist really took the time to hear my concerns and walked me through everything she did along the way, making sure I felt comfortable. I was a little nervous about my visit due to previous experiences at another place, but I quickly felt at ease and would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking dental care. Many thanks to Dr. Adam and the whole team there!
Just had my first appointment! As a very anxious dentist goer! I felt completely at ease here! The decor was trendy and happy! Good music and even a little drink fridge! My gal (unfortunately I missed her name) was so friendly and was so good at explaining every step in the process! She told me what she was looking for and what she was doing. Made me feel like I was involved! And the TV on the ceiling was a major plus for a distraction. Overall really satisfied with my experience today! Thanks ladies!!
Everyone was amazing. Front desk was very sweet. Dr. Amanda and Fay (hope I spelled that correctly) were so sweet and walked me through step by step and that definitely helped my anxiety. I was also able to watch and listen to Friends while they worked on my teeth and that was awesome. My favorite show always helps me with my anxiety as well. They are very informative and answers all your questions. Best dentist experience I’ve ever had. And I’m 28 lol took long enough. 10/10 recommend!
This was a wonderful first experience at this dental office!! They were careful and attentive, and made me feel very safe and secure when normally I’m very nervous. The office is adorable, and the chairs are comfortable, and I love having the tv on the ceiling to watch netfliX. It’s little details like this that show that they really care about the patient experience! Booking was extremely easy, and I would very much recommend this place to anyone looking for a new dentist office!
I finally found a dentist I love! I was with my other dentist for a while, but I wanted to find someone closer to work/home. The whole process with ATX Family Dental was smooth. They do have long waits when you book an appointment, but it’s totally worth it. My hygienist was thorough and very knowledgeable. Dentist was awesome as well and I am so happy I have a new dentist just minutes from me. And since I don’t have dental insurance, I appreciate the dental plans they offer.
They were fantastic, as always! Super efficient and friendly. Great setup with Tvs on the ceiling and headphones so you can watch a show while you are worked on. My girlfriend has pretty strong "white coat syndrome" and she loves this place, as they genuinely want to make sure you understand what the procedure is and that you are comfortable. If you have kids, or have just had terrible experiences at prior dentists, ATX is a wonderful choice to make sure things go smoothly.
I was super nervous about going to the dentist but I had the best experience! They made sure to make me as comfortable as possible, I got to wear heart sunglasses, watch TV, and even got a gold star for not having cavities . This is the most high-tech dental office I’ve ever been to. I even got screened for oral cancer which no dentist has ever offered me before. Also, the office is super cute and the entire staff is great! Really happy to have found them!
Everyone is super friendly and helpful and the dental techs explain things thoroughly and make sure you understand the procedures that they will be doing. I hadn’t been to the dentist in far too long and had a lot of anxiety about going, but that fear was alleviated during my first appointment. They also send text reminders of appointments which is helpful for people like me who have small kids and sometimes forget to add appointments to their calendar.
This dentist office is so cute! Front staff was really friendly. My dental hygienist Haley was incredibly informative, careful and kind! She was understanding of me having to have my fidget toy and noise canceling headphones for sensory issues. :) They also provide a pair of heart shaped sunnies to help with the bright lights, another huge help for folks with sensory issues. They have a TV on the ceiling! Overall great experience and glad I came here.
I’m new to Austin and needed a new dentist. This was my first visit at ATX family dental and it was great! My hygienist was super sweet, informative, and professional. The dentist stopped by to see me and was also very impressive. The communication before my appointment was much appreciated and very thorough. I also loved that they had a tv on the ceiling to watch while getting my teeth cleaned. Glad I found a good place and would recommend to all!
Worst company ever don’t don’t go here if you have delta dental. I gave them all the info they needed filed a claim and filed a claim late and made me pay 400 plus dollars or they were going to send my account to collections. Condensing staff and ensured everything would be fine. Filing an appeal to my claim and might file a lawsuit for malpractice. Why would you just send emails only for months, my dental cleaning was 2 years ago at this facility.
Great experience start to finish. On my first visit, I only needed a cleaning but I have some sensitivity issues that can make the process uncomfortable. My hygienist was professional, patient, gentle, knowledgeable. After 4 years of bouncing from one dentist to another, never feeling totally satisfied that I was receiving high quality care, I'm so happy to have found ATX Family Dental. Now I'm actually looking forward to my next visit.
Loved how clean, quick, and attentive the team was. Have had some really bad dental experiences in the past, but this was likely the best I’ve encountered. Dr. Ida was thorough, and although they could have likely charged me extra to do some elaborate procedure I didn’t need, they went the correct route which was also the least costly. Refreshing in an age of chain dental locations that are looking solely at their bottom line.
I have always felt taken care of by all the staff since my very first visit to ATX Family dental. They never made me feel self conscious of my dental issues, especially since I had only been to the dentist once in 30 years, and have taken great care of my smile for the past 5 years. Everyone in the office is always friendly and constantly making sure I am comfortable and taken care of. You guys are awesome!
Today was my first time at ATX Family Dental and it was a wonderful experience. My hygienist, Haley, was so kind and informative about everything she was doing. I was a little anxious but she made me feel super comfortable. I hate the cleaning process, but she was super quick and made it as painless as possible. The dentist, Dr. Adam, was great too, very personable and efficient. I highly recommend!
ATX Family Dental has been the absolute best! From reception to x-rays to cleaning. Angelica, Haley & Dr. Ida were the best, were super clear and kind, answered all my questions, and were very helpful with being clear about what my insurance would be able to cover and what (if any) out of pocket costs there would be. Really appreciate the team and so glad I've found them - highly recommend!
I scheduled an emergency visit with ATX Family Dental as a first time patient experiencing tooth pain. Dr. Amanda and Sandy went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident during our time together and with the treatment plan that was developed based on my immediate needs and for ongoing care. If you’re looking for a fantastic dentist and staff, I can’t recommend them enough.
Awesome dental practice. I’ve had both Drs. Sydney and Amanda and both are great. Everyone else I interacted with from the front desk people to the hygienists and assistants were very friendly. Faye (sp?) was the nicest person I’ve ever met. The office is nice too, just bring a jacket because they keep it arctic in there Will continue my dental care here as long as I live in Austin!
Hands down, one of the best practices in Austin. Yesterday was my first visit after leaving my previous dentist office of five years and let me tell you, I wish I left and come here years earlier. Between the hygienist and Dr. Amanda, I can’t say enough good things about their knowledge, patience and overall demeanor. (Currently forcing a few friends of mine to make the switch!)
I loved my experience at ATX Family Dental and will recommend to my friends and family. I felt like my concerns were addressed and I was properly taken care of. The cleaning was easy and my dental hygienist made me feel cared for. I never got the feeling they were trying to upsell me or make me pay for things i didn't actually need. Very lovely experience overall.
Recommended by a friend who currently goes to ATX Family Dental and absolutely loved it. AFD is super transparent about what is happening inside of your mouth biome and does well at explaining why I needed to change my brushing habits. They are also super clear about the options you have and took the time to explain each one. I will definitely be going back!
ATX Family Dental is amazing on every level. I had a dental emergency a few months ago and the amazing staff was able to fit me in on the day I requested. I’ve now been there 3 times for follow up procedures and each time I’m blown away by their friendliness, compassion, professionalism, and beautiful facilities. I cannot recommend ATX Family Dental enough!
Very good dental facility. I’ve always had bad experiences at the dentist, but these guys and gals did an amazing job. Most knowledgeable and friendly dentists I’ve ever had. I switched here after a bad experience with another Austin dentist, I won’t mention names for their sake, but rest assured ATX family dental is your best bet in Austin.
ATX Family Dental is the best!! I’ve never had a bad experience here. Everyone is so friendly, professional, caring, and respectful. I’ve had normal cleanings and fillings done, and they always make sure I’m comfortable and aware of what they’re doing. They always provide helpful recommendations but never push! Best dentist in Austin!
Dr. Adams and his team are super patient oriented, and they make sure to do the job right on their first try. They make sure to stay up to date on the newest technology within dentistry, so patients like myself can get the best care possible. ATX Family Dental South is the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
I had been very nervous after a bad experience with crowns from another dentist. Front staff were welcoming. Hygienist Taylor put me at ease by explaining everything before and during. I feel confident that Dr Amanda will do a good job on my next crowns. They were conservative in recommendations and did try to upsell me.
Today was my second visit to ATX Family Dental and I love it! The staff are friendly and engaging. They stay current on the newest options for various treatments and have a great facility. I had Haley today as my hygienist and she was wonderful. It also doesn't hurt that there is a super tasty poke place right next door!
Sydney was my dentist and she was great! It was my first time there the other day and I had a wonderful experience, the entire staff made me feel very comfortable. Everyone was super friendly and informative. I definitely recomend making ATX Family Dental your primary Dentist. Fun and friendly environment as well!
ATX Family Dental is undeniably the best dentist office I’ve ever been to. Not only is the service and treatment great, but the staff genuinely cares for their patients. They will always do what’s right for them, and above all make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. They 100% deserve their high reviews.
The staff is very professional, friendly, and welcoming. The office has such a pleasant environment. I had the cleaning by Cailee. I do appreciate her light handedness and attention to detail. I also received full exam by the gentle and knowledgeable Dr. Amanda Vinh. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
I’ve gone twice! Once for a cleaning and back to get my cavities filled. EVERY SINGLE PERSON is a sweet angel. They gave me a blanket, headphones and Netflix on while they did what they needed to do. Really made sure I was comfortable as well. It was a whole new perspective of going to the dentist!
First visit A+. The hygienist was great-very thorough & knowledgeable. I liked how they were able to walk me through a plan of pricing according to my insurance and based off my personal needs. So friendly and efficient. Such a relief to have a great dentist in ATX after moving from out of state.
I have a knee replacement scheduled soon and I wish Dr. Amanda could do that because the extraction she did was so pain free and professional I could not believe it went so well. The entire staff is cheerful yet concerned. The decor is comfortable and comforting. An incredible experience.
Very friendly, great atmosphere. They work with my four year old perfectly, keeping her comfortable and calm. They are very good about keeping your visit trauma free by addressing your discomforts and respecting boundaries. They just tell you what's up without a lecture. Recommend 100%.
Absolutely love this place. I was looking for a good long term dentist here in Austin. I got lucky this was my first place I found. The people are the nicest. The only downside for the place is parking. There are often not spaces, but you can park on the street and it’s not too bad.
Fantastic customer service including empathy and kindness! Dr. Adam and the team were thorough, explaining each step of the appointment ensuring I was comfortable and clarifying questions along the way. Can you fall in love with an entire office in one visit…why yes…yes you can!!
Shelby was excellent with my teeth cleaning. She was very precise and gentle. She was also honest about the work that I will eventually need and broke down the process so it doesn't sound too scary or intimidating. My husband and I love ATX Family Dental and highly recommend it!
Super kind and gentle with someone who was way past due for a dentist check up! While I don’t have too much dentist anxiety to speak of it was nice to have the TV to watch during the cleaning to distract! The staff was SO friendly and it was a pleasant experience all around.
By far my favorite dental office. My hygienist, Cailee was great, she was super informative, gentle and thorough. Everything you want from a hygienist. They always keep it real by recommending services to help keep me cavity free and pearly white. Sounds like a yes from me!
Dr. Ida and the ATX Family Dentistry team are incredible! I had never been before and called in to see if they could fix a chipped front tooth. They got me in the same day so that I could go out of town that afternoon looking like myself. They really went above and beyond!
Went in today for a quick consultation. Everyone was very friendly, responsive, and comforting. I was in and out very quick and it was a smooth process. Will definitely recommend! The waiting area is also very cute and I love how they let you watch any show on the TV!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about ATX family Dental - I have been coming here since 2018 where I used to see Dr. Adam, he does amazing work and is so patient. I usually see Dr. Amanda now and she is equally as amazing. All of the hygienists are so great too!
The front office welcomes you with open arms. Faith was very sweet in taking care of all my and Dr. Amanda needs! Thank you so much Dr. Amanda for this good experience. Your so sweet to talk to plus don't beat around the bush on what you really need to do. …
Love ATX Family Dental! They always give excellent service and are very easy to work with. Taylor did an excellent job applyong my sealants today and was extremely thorough. She even went the extra mile to make sure I didn't get more work than was necessary.
Dr.Amanda and Madai went above and beyond. Dr.Amanda is very skilled and professional, I trust her with all the plans and she has great bedside manner. Madai is so nice, makes me feel very comfortable and not nervous at all. Thank you ATX family dental!
Dr. Amanda and the team at ATX Family Dental are by far the best dentists we’ve ever had. I was very nervous about a procedure today and they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. 10/10 recommend!
Great team- helped me with several specific requests and genuinely took an interest in my care. The dentist actually caught cavities that other dental practices I had previously seen had not….thanks all!!! I appreciate you guys!!!
My first visit with ATX was amazing. Everyone was very thorough and helpful. Just had my second visit and it was just a great. The whole team was knowledgeable and kind. Definitely making it my permanent local dental office now.
Love this place! It was my first time here, everyone is so friendly, efficient and helpful, I didn’t feel pressured into buying expensive treatments like in other dental offices I’d experienced before. Highly recommend it!
I absolutely love this place! Coming from someone who has always had anxiety about seeing the dentist. The equipment is modern. The whole place is so cute and comfortable. Staff is amazing. I’ll continue coming here. :)
Love the interior design, feels welcoming compared to other dental clinics. Love their heart shaped glasses which they put on you to protect your eye! Staff is amazing, very warm and welcoming. I felt like a kid again!
Everyone at ATX Family Dental was very friendly and super helpful. I hadn't been to a dentist in over 5 years and they made me feel super at ease. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new Dental location.
I had a 10/10 experience at ATX Family Dental.Coming from someone who was very afraid of the dentist. Everyone treated me with excellent service. The office is very inviting and calm. I would definitely recommend.
Truly amazing! Love this place❤️ I felt at ease and felt heard. I’m very pleased with this place. Staff were professional and courteous. Dr. Ida did my cleaning alongside Karen and they were such an amazing duo!
I’ve been a patient of ATX Family Dental for about six years and they’ve always been wonderful — regular cleanings, one cavity (sad) and when I had a traumatic injury to my tooth. The whole staff is great!
ATX Family Dental is by far the best dental office I’ve been to. I’m never going back to my previous dental provider. Dr. Ida and Madai were amazing and made me feel super comfortable at my first visit.
It was my first trip to the dentist EVER. Haley was so nice and comforting! I watched The Great British Baking show on the ceiling while she cleaned my teeth. Such a sweet experience thank you so much!
After dealing with a toothache all weekend, ATX Family Dental was able to schedule me in first thing on a Monday. The staff was all very caring and friendly and the environment is welcoming.
Had a crown come out during Xmas weekend while in Houston. ATXFD had me me fixed up with top notch service and staff in a jiffy. I can’t recommend these wonderful people enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very good experience for 1st time patient. Staff was very welcoming & thoughtful. Got me the help I needed & were upfront with diagnosis. Will definitely be back in for future visits
Damn my smile looks fresh! The dentist and the dental hygienist all had great suggestions on how to maintain and keep my teeth clean and healthy. The vibes there were popp’n.
I had the best dental experience with Ella and Dr. Vinh! Both were gentle, professional, and thorough. I'm happy I found ATX Family Dental to establish care with.
I had such a great experience here! The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.
Great dentist office in Austin, Texas! The staff is always friendly and informative. Plus, every room has a tv and headphones to keep you occupied.
Wonderful friendly staff , Dr Adam is superb, and so is his hygienist. Would not go anyway else. I have been a patient for 4 years
Great family practice! Everyone I interacted with from the front desk to the dentists were very pleasant, skilled, and helpful.
Love love love this place! Amazing service with a smile. Allowing me to leave with an even brighter one!
