Recently I got a new puppy and needed a vet since my vet of nearly 42 years had to retire due to cancer. I could not have been more fortunate than to find Abrams Royal Animal Clinic, Dr. Murray, owner, and Dr. Smith. A friend of mine from church had been going there for over 20 years. I was thrilled when I took my little one to Dr. Murray. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient with the many questions I had as a “new puppy mom”. He also had some great suggestions for me and gave me a handout with some notes he had written out. I was even more thrilled that I could go in with her wearing my mask as soon as they had a room available. People are not allowed to sit in the lobby and the doctors and staff were wearing masks as well. Everything was clean and I felt like they were observing every precaution. In searching for a new vet, I wanted to find a small, privately owned clinic where I felt my pet would get the very best, personalized care at a reasonable cost. I’ve certainly found that! One of the doctors always calls you back as soon as possible if you left a message for them. Not only are both doctors very personable, but their staff is courteous, friendly and helpful as well. Both Elna and Elizabeth are warm, caring, and efficient at the front desk. Chris and Joseph are both knowledgeable and friendly as well. I love that I’ve found a new vet home with everything that I could have imagined!

The vet himself was quite wonderful & very full of jokes. Quite quick & was nice to my Furbaby. I would have rated the experience a 5 star place EXCEPT for the fact that the assistant in the front (kind of an older or elder should I say ; woman). She was quite rude from the moment I stepped in the door, LITERALLY. When i was walking up to the desk she was giving my pup an ugly look & once she saw I was looking at her she fixed her face quickly not realizing I had already seen her. Next when I was asking her questions about "single" shots repeatedly she kept giving me the price on a ENTIRE package deal which meant for my furbaby to get all other unnecessary shots & tests done. She was basically trying to get me to get the package deal which was over $140, and even when I had mentioned only coming in for 3 shots over the phone before showing up she was still persistent & asked in "awe" (you really only want to get 3 vaccines?"). I don't think a customer should feel pushed or obligated to get other shots for their animal if they don't want to when the rabies shot is the ONLY shot you have to have for them legally; the rest are just up to the owner for precautionary measures. And her giving people's animals or even people hateful looks isn't professional either. If I'm to return to the same clinic it would be because of how pleasant the visit was with the vet himself nothing or no one else.

This vet is wonderful. We brought in a stray who we had been feeding for a few months and had fallen in love with. He needed to be neutered, vaccinated and treated for a wound on his neck. This had stressed me out for weeks because we weren't sure when we could trap him and get him to a vet, so an appointment was going to be very difficult. This vet doesn't require appointments. I was also worried about if they would take and know how to handle a somewhat wild stray. They did. We saw Dr. Smith and he was so patient, answered my literal 20-25 questions. They took such good care of our Ruby boy. Neutered him same day, tipped his ear, vaccinated him -- but not more than needed - treated his neck wound (a day later, I swear it looks 60% better!) and I think they even trimmed his nails. He is home recovering with us now and is THRIVING. The cost for all of that was very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! They even gave my husband some mild sedatives weeks earlier before we ever got the cat there, to try and help get him trapped. They didn't charge us that day at all, until we came in with the cat. Quality and VERY accommodating care.

I searched several Vetinarian Clinics in my area and loved the convenience and reviews at the Abrams Royal Clinic. My first visit with my Fur Baby Coco was more than I expected. The Staff was Friendly, Polite and had so much interest in Coco. I loved the cleanliness of the Office and the Rooms. Coco wasn't even afraid as hes not too keen on strange places. They put him at ease right away. I'm a Senior and for me the Prices were very reasonable. Sad to say. But my Sweet Coco passed away. He took sick one day and I rushed him to the Clinic. Dr Murray and Joseph tried so hard to resuscitate Coco with many procedures. But he was too ill. Dr Murray explained everything to me and my Daughter and automatically took over as we were just devastated. We chose cremation and Dr Murray immediately took everything in his hands so as not for us to worry at that stressful time... I now have my Coco close by me in a beautiful Cedar Box. The staff of this vet clinic are amazing with one glaring exception. The nurse at the front desk is incredibly sweet and remarkably good with both animals and people. The other nurses are all amazingly sweet and gentle with my dogs. Dr smith is an angel and an absolute godsend for all animals in the area. Dr Murray however is an absolute monster who should never have been granted a veterinarian license. He's a despicable bitter man who has no idea how to work with animals and would rather blame his own incompetence and unprofessionalism on an animals base instinct to protect himself when he failed to muzzle him when performing a blood draw. If you're animal is in need of the best care available Dr smith and the rest of the staff will gladly provide it, but stay as far away as possible from Dr Murray. If you care for your animal do not allow that monster around them.

When I moved to Dallas and had to find a new vet, I was lucky enough to be recommended to Abrams Royal Vet and especially Dr. Murray. My labrador Rufus was 13 years old when I moved, and Dr Murray’s kindness and common sense approach guided me through taking care of my very old dog and helping me know when Rufus was in too much discomfort. Like me, he just wanted what was best for Rufus, and I know Rufus’s last years were more comfortable because of his care. To me, the unthinkable thing was to keep my dog in pain, simply because I was sad to say goodbye. Dr. Murray provided excellent care and advice.

All my dogs have all been long time patients of Abrams Royal Veterinary Clinic. All of the employees there are "Simply the Best". Dr. Murray is the most compassionate, caring person to entrust the care of your animals to. He has often made house calls to check up on our dogs that have needed a follow-up after hours. I wouldn't trust my family pets to anyone else. I would encourage anyone who really loves their dogs to take them to Dr. Murray. His knowledge and expertise are unsurpassed.

By far, the best vet clinic in DFW. Dr. Murray is the best of the best. He is professional, patient, caring and kind. This is my second dog to take to him. He treated my first dog so well that my second dog was named after him! I am sure that thrills Dr Murray but I wanted him to know how much I appreciated all of his help- from regular visits to urgent care to end of life- Dr Murray handled it all exceptionally well. The team at ARAC is AMAZING! Thank you!

We found an abandoned kitten that was dirty with fleas. I called to see if they'd be able to take a look at her, and they were able to see us ASAP. The receptionist was super friendly and the doctor was extremely nice and informative. They were able to estimate her age, check her heartbeat, and give her her first round of vaccines and a topical treatment for fleas and other parasites. Overall, very happy and will definitely be coming again!

Shannon the Old White lady on the front desk is super rude, I REALLY don't know What her problem is, I was the only one she was being rude to, I am hispanic and asian, she was trying to correct my accent by repeating loudly what I was saying, funny white ignorant lady and it was my first visit I never coming back, besides it was $160 for a checkup and a hairball gel worth $9. Nope thanks. I don't understand why this clinic has good reviews

I am beyond thankful for Dr Murray and his amazing team! The kindness, compassion( for both me and my dog), and thoughtful explanations of diagnoses and care made it possible to peacefully navigate my dog's last years. They completely understood how much I loved my dog and created a path that was kind to him and to me for months and months. I trusted them completely and am so glad I did. Thanks is not a big enough word for the whole team!

Very nice and welcoming on the phone. I dropped off my cat on curbside service for an antibiotic prescription where I told the nurse what it is and what i need. The Vet calls back and suggest a $84 shot of antibiotic associated with cortizones for a total of $176. I know that there are difficult times and they might be desperate for money but this goes away beyond care for animals. Enjoy the fruits of your service!

I came here when my cat was ill, and even though she is no longer with me I am very impressed with the veterinarians and their efforts to save my cat and inform me of what my options were and what everything meant. Their prices are fair (and dirt cheap compared to PetSmart/Banfield), and staff are always friendly. I have taken my other cats here, and refer them to all my friends. Thank you for all your efforts! ❤️

If you are looking for vets that truly care about your animals go here. If you are looking for the fancy vet, go elsewhere because Dr. Murray and Dr. Smith are the real deal without the corporate vet care you encounter other places. You can walk in anytime. They call you back. Prices are reasonable and they care. I cannot say enough good things about both vets and the care our animals have received. Thank you

We’ve been taking our dog here since she was a pup (she is now 13!). They have honestly been so wonderful. I couldn’t recommend this clinic enough. The doctor is so knowledgeable and patient with answering our questions. The staff is incredible as well, I know I can call when I need and they make themselves available. I can tell they really care about my dog and I feel confident continuing to bring her here.

We have been apart of the family at Abrams Animals Clinic for many years. Dr. Murray & his entire staff treat us like family. I only trust them to care for my pets & would be lost without Dr. Murray!! Everyone is so nice & helpful! So happy we found Dr. Murray and Dr. Smith at Abrams Royal. My dogs like both vets and we have received great care whenever we bring our dogs in. Highly recommend. Also, they don't take appointments so would recommend calling before arrival if you aren't able to wait a few minutes. I like the no appointment process because its convenient and ensures my dogs can get urgent care when they need it.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet baby girl of 16 years today. Unfortunately our normal vet was unable to see us so we came to AR animal clinic as walk ins. Although it took the doctor a while to see us he was extremely compassionate and helpful and walked us through all of the steps. The clinic is a little dated but the staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Abrams Royal Animal clinic has been a Staple in my life for over 30 years. Being 35 that's quite a bit :) I literally remember crawling around the little window in the waiting room office as a kid. Needless to say myself and family members have had maybe a dozen animals cared for here and it's one of the best :) Murray and Smith make a great team. Thanks Abrams Royal Animal Clinic!!

Dr. Murray and his team were experts at taking care of my dog. Pakalolo had a unique/ unusual bacterial infection and being the professional that Dr. Murray is, was able to identify the issue and pretty much save his life! I’m extremely thankful for him and his team from the front desk to the care takers watching over him for 2 nights. Thank you again for all your help!

Dr. Smith got my dog in on a Friday afternoon for emergency surgery when our regular vet, both of our "backup vets" and 20+ other vets and animal hospitals had turned us away. That was several weeks ago and our dog is doing great. His prices were less than half of the one other emergency clinic that was willing to accept us, he will be my new vet going forward.

Absolute miracle workers, especially Dr.Murray, he is the reason why we had more time with our dog and I genuinely can’t thank him enough! Give him a raise also that Elizabeth at front desk is super sweet, with an amazing sense of humor and Joseph was super sweet and helpful. Definitely the place to take your pet, they are in absolute safe hands with Dr.Murray.

Our senior dog developed a large growth and needed surgery to have it removed. We were so anxious because of her age and temperament, but Dr. Murray and his team did a wonderful job taking care of our girl. The whole experience put us at ease and the surgery went smoothly. Our dog is recovering nicely and we will be back for future veterinary needs.

I’m never one to post reviews but this place greatly deserves one. My cat Tiger was hurt and needed surgery. Dr. Smith provided amazing care, performed the surgery and my cat is back to 100%. I cannot thank Dr. Smith and the staff at Abrams Royal Animal Clinic enough for taking care of my four legged friend. Thank you guys!

Since the 1980s my family & I have taken our animals to Dr. Murray. He is still practicing & he is awesome. Just had to take our dogs here & other vet was even awesome. I will continue to go here as long as I live close enough. They care about animals & strive to make them like part of the family.

The staff is amazing! My fury son has been going to this clinic for 4 yrs. He is a 13 yr old schnauzer and had to have 2 surgeries in the past year. He had a speedy recovery both times. I know he won't be around forever but I'm able to deal with my worries a little easier with this great staff.

I have been taking my Vizslas here for years, and both Dr. Murray, and Dr. Smith, along with their entire staff are amazing. They are the best, most honest and fair Vets I have ever been to. They treat their customers like family, and their customer’s animals, like they are their own.

The team here has been great to two of our dogs. We are now on our third that we are bringing. They even made great recommendation for an end of life service that came to the house. Such a compassionate, individually operated business that cares for their patients and families.

I wouldn't say that its false advertisement but it clearly says "exotic pets" in their services right??? Yet when I reached out because I had an exotic pet, they couldn't offer service. It brought my hopes down due to them being a way closer to me than my rabbit's regular vet.

They do walk-ins for anything other than surgeries or big procedures which i think is so cool. Vet is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you rescue/adopt your animal you can take it there for a free first visit which is amazing. I love that they support Adopt Don’t Shop!

A local staple...my pets have been tended here since I was 7, and still taking them here at 35! They care so deeply for your fur baby, not just in medical care and high quality but in person-ability and heart. I love the entire staff here and so do my furry ones!

I love the vets at Abrams Royal. They always took wonderful care of my sweet boy, especially during his last day. It is the only place I trust to take my pets. The prices are reasonable, and they explain, in a relaxed way all the available treatment options.

I have not been there yet. My dog is getting his teeth cleaned at the place that I have him at now for only $250 after that is done I will switch all my information to the Abrams Royal clinic but right now I want to get that price for his teeth cleaning

I needed to pick a vet for my new dog and I did not want to take him to East Lake bc it's sortof overpriced in my experience (I take my cat there). The reviews for this clinic on here were great and I am happy that I took a chance on them

Well, it was the worst day of my life, so perhaps I'm not the best person to ask. I went there because my Mastiff was limping. The vet took some x-rays and told me that my dog didn't have a sprained ankle or a broken foot. He had bone

Had to get my fur baby seen ASAP and got in quickly to a room and seen by the veterinarian. He was super nice and informative. The first vet that didn’t talk to me like I was an idiot because I’m young! Got a happy dog now!

The vet and staff here are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They are happy to answer any questions and have a great bedside manner with your pet. I personally drive from the Plano area just to come here.

Everyone here has a lot of experience working with animals and they all seem to have animals as well so I've found this vet to be very knowledgeable, professional, and just really nice people in general!

I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning and they did a great job and the veterinarian called me to explain everything they did in detail which I really appreciated. The prices are reasonable as well.
