Another big bell-ring on a company who super impressed me with their product knowledge and customer service. I came to this store by way of needing a replacement key for my Kymco Like 200i. It has the type of key with teeth on both sides. The factory keys were flimsy and one broke off in the lock to the storage area under the seat a couple of days ago; this was a tragic story for another time. I met David who worked at Access. Within four sentences we were already joking. The sense of humor in this shop is definitely dry (with hints of oak and vanilla) which I like. I told him about the key breaking off. Without me asking he volunteered to help me with this problem also. He took my key and let me know it was indeed unusually shaped. This usually is what someone at any other store says before they hand it back and say, "go to the dealer," not David. After a couple of minutes he had a few different blanks he thought might work. He went outside with me in tow. He tried each key in the ignition and the ones that worked he tried in all the other locks, very thorough. After going back in to make the keys (I wanted two) he went out each time with the key he made and tried all the locks again. Very impressed. How many times have I bought keys that didn't work? A lot of times. Once we finished with all the new key business he went to his truck and got out a genius set of tools to try to get the little key out, nothing worked. Went back inside to pay and David kept searching for the right tool. His brain whirled to the right answer in the mental roladex. Soon after he used a very small drill bit to disengage the key and he pulled it from the lock. My bike was secure again and I had two solid keys with no more worry. And it cost less than a ticket with popcorn and a drink at the movies. The last time I went that is which was about 4 years ago. I will definitely be back. I will definitely tell others. I hope you all definitely do the same. Keep a good small business not only open with your business but they should be given a chance to thrive. Good job Access and thank you David.

I called this business, that is listed under locksmith, and talked to a nice helpful lady. I asked if they could make a key and how much it would cost. she asked if I could tell her brand of the lock, and proceeded to look up if they could make key, during the process, a man came on phone and simply said yes they could, that they can make all house keys, and said it wouldn't be more than maybe 3 dollars. my wife went to the business and was told they could not make the key, I called back to the business and asked to talk to the manager, apparently the man I talked to on the phone was the manager, i pointed out the problem I was having with the misinformation and the waste of fuel and time, he proceeded to blame me for the misunderstanding and then started cussing at me on the phone. he is also apparently the owner of the store. I would avoid this store, as they sell themselves as locksmiths but can't handle making of a schlage key, as well as the poor way this business is run, they also over charge on key prices as the location that we had the key made at was slightly more expensive to make the higher security key than the one this business charges for a simple house key to be made. save your self time and money, and attitude and visit another more reputable buisness.

They did come out promptly for a key replacement and program , however the vehicle has not started since they came and replaced the key the technician knew the car did not start and still left I was thinking it was due to other mechanical issues however it’s two months l have taken it to the mechanic and to the electrical shop only for the vehicle to be at the dealership now and they’re saying that the car is not starting because it needs a new key and programming I thought I had just paid for that. I did reach out to access and no one had returned my call This is NOT the first time hearing from me ..maybe you yourself.. and now that you say there is a 90 day warranty only makes me more upset because I called and spoke to someone within my 90 days and nothing was done..I was told there was a 30 day warranty . I just called and spoke to someone yesterday and they said they would call me back about my Mitsubishi Galant .that they needed to contact the technician that originally came out.. and they car battery was dead when the technician came out so why would he try and program a key like that if it needs a full charge.. I’m still waiting to be contacted my number is on file

I called Access Key on Thursday requesting a new remote and key for my car. The lady taking the call told me the price and said the remote/key would arrive on Friday. She re-assured me that a technician would come to the house on Friday to program the car & key. I waited all day Friday and I never got a call so I called them Friday at 5:00. That same lady told me that the key had arrived at 4:00 p.m. and it was too late to schedule a technician. I again, was told that the technician would come by on Monday at 8:30. Monday at 8:30 a.m. no technician and no call from Access Key. I called them at 9:00 a.m to find out the status. I got nothing but poor excuses, technicians not showing up for work due to food poisoning etc. I had to threat then with a bad review before I got any help. Finally, around 11:00 a.m Salvatore Tornabene arrived and in no time, the job was done. Salvatore was very professional and apologized for the mishaps ( even though it really wasn't his fault.) I probably won't use this company again but it's nice knowing they have decent technicians.

This local treasure was recommended by both auto chain stores and by actual car dealers. Imagine that. I just needed a car door key, to keep in my swim trucks -- nothing that couldn't get very wet. Most big box stores which had a person cutting keys have discontinued the service -- another post COVID surprise. It cost me more to buy bad fitting blanks from AmazoEbay and then find any store that would make a car key (didn't work when I found one) than to get a key made at Access Key and Security. Fast and friendly, even for 20 year old vehicles. The store isn't open weekends. Bring cash otherwise they pass on the credit card charge to you. You save them money, they save you money.

i only had 1 key to my car that a misplaced so i called around for quotes and this place was by far the inexpensive one. schedule to take my car in 9am and i had a call from them and they accidentally told me wrong price that was orignally told to me but he sincerly apologized for his mistake, i still went to them because they were still cheaper than any other place i called. when i showed up Brandon continued to apologize! these people are here to help and get the job done in a timely manner. I also believe "sam" is the owner or manager and he was funny as well. very friendly place and i would recommend to anyone :) thanks for yalls help.

Great place with great service. Been there multiple times for security keys for my Honda and they always cut them, verify they work on all the locks and program so the fobs. Make sure to bring ALL your keys including the valet because they have to reprogram the car and need all the keys on hand. I'd forgotten in my first trip so they just casually told me to come back anytime soon and they'd get all they rest done, which they did with no hesitation. Really appreciated the discount for getting multiple keys cut and they are not only the best I've been too, but they are consistent, friendly, courteous, and personal. Highly recommended.

whatever the number you are gonna call for lucksmith service in San Antonio you are gonna end up in the hand of those guys disonest unprofessional don't honor their words they failed to fix my computer actually they reflash(if they really do) not reprogramm the computer. the only reason to pay them is because they fixed other mine car. I feel ashamed that my car cost 300$. does it matter with your job?. how much I paid for my car doesn't have to be a problem for you! a car bought from auction is a car that one day was working not long time ago and buying from police auction is legal act!

We have a 1934 Model A coupe and had lost the keys.... I called several companies and I have to say that the gentlemen I had the pleasure of speaking with were absolutely amazing! Customer service needs to be addressed by management. Young girl working there needs to learn hygiene etiquette and how to multitask. After ten minutes of walking in and asking her if they could make me a copy of set of keys, I had to ask for my keys back, while she was rubbing my key ring around her mouth and talking to her coworkers and answering phones, helping everyone else there but her only customer! Went to other key shop by Northern Tools and was in and out in 5 minutes!

It's not often you find a place that you can bring something to that's an odd fix, and they need to say "Let me look into this a bit more." and they actually get it taken care of, let alone same day! I went to 4 other big locksmith shops that didn't even want to touch the vehicle handles from an older military truck I have. These guys took it on, and got my LMTV door handles re-keyed. Thanks!! Waited 2 hours, as quoted, called and was still another 20 minutes because they never added us to the schedule or manifest. Dude, Randall, drilled a hole in the dead bolt - did not replace or rekey as requested. He said he would be back to replace with the correct lock and never answered calls or texts. Charged $105 to drill a stupid hole, when we could have done that ourselves. Thanks for absolutely nothing SCAM artists. Waste of money and time.

Completely unprofessional, they don't deliver on timelines at all and make excuses. It's apparent by there prior responses to paying clients, that they have no idea how to run a business or problem solve. They have mocked and ridiculed their unhappy customers. There are lots of other options out there. I used Arrow Key to correct the issue they couldn't resolve. Looking forward to the excuse they will offer up in their rebuttal to the review!

Just bought a new key fob from this business, within just three weeks, the keys were not able to lock and unlock the car, and couldn’t set the alarm. Went back to get it fixed twice and still isn’t working again. Customer service is terrible. Save your money and time. Just wasted $145. The key I bought was from Access Key and nowhere else. I had to go to a different locksmith shortly after this one to properly get it done.

Access is simply the best key shop around. I have been there multiple times and on the last visit I had to do multiple Honda keys. They gave me a nice discount on the extra keys and save me at least $80. They are professional but also really nice and do the job quickly. They cut, tested the keys in all the locks and programmed all the remotes in maybe a half hour. Highly recommended.

They are open 24 hours for emergency service...only one that answered the phone that has a real location. That guy Sal is kinda loud and grouchy but after 35 years in the business i would probably also be, give me a price and it didn't change. I foolishly locked my house keys in my truck box. Drove here on Saturday morning and they opened promptly at 9AM. I walked in, explained my situation, and they had my truck box opened in record time. I think my complete visit took 10 minutes...and that’s with arriving 5 minutes before they opened. Great experience and very knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend these guys.

This place is the best ! As soon as I got off the phone with them they sent someone out ASAP! Jake was very polite and knowledgeable with helping me get into my car and making a new key for me. I definitely recommend this place if you need a replacement key or if you just need to get into your car. Also saved a couple hundred if not more by going with them.

Their locksmith Sam tried for an hour, but was unable to make a replacement key for my car. I recommend a more capable company. Response to "RESPONSE FROM OWNER" That's a pretty bad excuse; and why would I pay, you couldn't complete the task. The company I used after you, completed the task in less than 5 minutes and said this was a very easy routine job.

I purchased a 1952 Chevy Pickup, but the door locks were worn out, and I couldn't safely lock it from the outside. I called ELEVEN different "locksmiths" and no one would touch it! Old fashioned mom & pop shop, speedy & friendly service, keys cut/copied by human hands instead of a big box store's automated key copying machine. As you might expect, mom & pop businesses might cost a little more than large retail chains but it's worth it for the exemplary service & skills honed thru many years experience.

I was referred by Certfied Auto Repair. Jake came to me since my car was disabled due to my car no longer recognizing my key fob. Jake was polite and helped to troubleshoot the problem instead of assuming an issue and recommending an expensive repair. He was able to make a new key and program a new key fob within minutes.

Great service! Needed a key fob replacement for my car. A different locksmith and the dealership both quoted MUCH higher prices. Brandon gave me a reasonable quote over the phone. He said it should have costed more because of the proximity start but honored his quote over the phone anyway. That's 5 stars in my book!

Drive from one hour away. They had to order a part to make another key. Dealership sent us to this company. Gave them my number and address so when part comes in. So it's in. Drove back on Saturday they are busy can not find order ,then they do manage to find part. So they get started.and complete new key.

It was 286 for a key fob. Hope to never lose keys again. Good service, waited about 2 hours for the key to be ready and programmed. Had to get the car towed to the location from a tow truck company on a Sunday night and wait for the business to open on Monday morning. It al worked out.
