Do not come here!!! Staff is not knowledgeable and does not work with the customer!!! I went to purchase a paint roller; I even asked the staff for help. They suggested a roller and sponge combo which I purchased. However, after purchasing, I realized that the two don't fit together, so I went for a refund. Upon arrival, I was told that I could only get a gift card refund EVEN THOUGH I BROUGHT THE RECIEPT. I accepted the gift card anyway and tried the card on a second location. The second Ace store told me that the card hadn't even been activated and that they couldn't do anything about it EVEN THOUGH I BROUGHT THE RECIEPT FOR THE GIFT CARD. So of course I went back to the original Ace "Main Ace Hardware" and the manager told me there was nothing she could do. No cash refund, nothing! Not to mention the fact that everything is overpriced which alone should be reason to steer clear of this place!

Store does not honor the ACE tools lifetime warranty. Store refused to apply the lifetime warranty on the tool they sold me. Manager claimed that they do not warranty craftsman tools, customer showed the manager that it was not such brand and clearly the ratchet has ACE hardware stamped on it, Item no: 21168 which comes with lifetime warranty. Manager stated that they are independently owned and do not have to conform to the warranty claims of ACE products. Had to call ACE corporate offices and they are sending me a replacement which will arrive in at least a week. This store has cause unnecessary inconvenience to its customer and corporate offices and clearly does not stand behind the ACE name, certainly not customer friendly and no wonder people head to the other known stores that are hassle free and stand behind their products.

Do NOT buy a toilet seat from this store. My husband bought a toilet seat, when he got home he noticed it didn't have a cover and was not the right color. He immediately took it back to the store upon which they only then informed him they do not return toilet seats. He did not put the toilet seat on the toilet, he just opened it, saw it was not the right color/no top and was back at the store 15 mins later. The Home Depot may be a big box store, but at least they would have taken back the toilet seat. This is what we get for trying to support a local smaller store. Never again. They were very unaccommodating and unfriendly. They should inform the customer of this policy when they are buying the product not afterwards.

The clerk here yesterday seemed very friendly and helped me select a LED replacement for the old fluorescent bulbs in my garage. I bought two packs that were supposed to work by simply replacing the bulbs voila. Turns out it wasn't that simple so less than 10 minutes later I tried to go back to return them and get a different type or even go back to fluorescent only to be told by the same guy that helped me before that they had a STRICT no returns or exchanges policy! I am so so very annoyed. I want to have a hardware store in the neighborhood so I don't have to go to the big box stores but I feel like I just got scammed by this place! Don't support this place! Drive just a little bit further to C&D on 11th.

Today was my first time shopping here, I'm. A plumber by Trade ( 25yrs in the field) when the plumbing supply house doesn't have it, Ace almost always does . This particular Store Main Ace Hardware, has an amazing lady that works there, after grabbing what I needed , I had forgotten one more item went back in and locked my keys in my work van,. She did anything and everything she could short of prying the door open and fishing a metal rod down to hit the unlock button. Above and beyond customer service, truly a neighborhood hardware store, 2 thumbs up and a huge smile...

Went in to buy a corded leaf blower...girl at the counter said they were out and pointed to a cordless one. EGO 530 CFM Cordless Blower. Told her that my experience with cordless was that they are not as strong as a corded one...told me the owner has one and loves it so I bought it. WOW..glad I listened to her...It's so much better than any corded one that i have ever had. Has a booster button on it that will 'Blow' your mind with the exta power...Thanks to her this Ace Hardware is now my go to store.

I bought a $3.50 paint roller and tried to return it just a few hours later. They would not refund or even give store credit because I didn’t have a receipt. Are you kidding me? Even the same person who had checked me out earlier. I think we are past the “need for receipt”. I talked even with the owner, Gary. He said this is because of the IRS. Really? I could provide him my last name and credit card and all. Wake up and join the 21st century. Probably will find ways not to go back for a while.

I bought some LED Christmas light bulbs but then decided to return them a little over a week later because we decided to stick with incandescent. Never used the bulbs. Denise, the manager, refused to take the bulbs back and give a refund, claiming they weren’t the one Ace sold. She then insinuated I was trying to engage in return fraud. Terrible attitude and not the customer service I have always known of Ace. I will definitely not be returning in the future.

Nice young man greeted me at the door and was about to help me have a key cut - duplicate for a 2006 Corolla - for which I had brought my own blank. (I had figured they would not have these blanks in stock.) A young lady that also works there said "we can't cut it" without any explanation. So I took my keys back and left. My journey to find just a little customer service will continue and when I find it, I will post it.

Thank you to Denise for running such an awesome shop. She is the manager there and her team is handling operating during these strange days so well. I own Black Wolf CrossFit right around the corner and having been shutdown by the state (rightfully so) has put me in a very uncertain state. So to have a neighborhood business that is able to be so supportive and helpful is a welcomed relief. Thank you again!

I’ve been a customer for 18 years. Always good service, always friendly staff. To Jared Clark, they close at 5:30 to keep crybabies like you out. To Daniel Casteel, $12 for a peep hole in 5 minutes or $10 at Home Depot in 25 minutes… no contest. To Martin Irwin, WRONG! This is not a dangerous area. You’re just making up alternative facts because you work for Home Depot.

Amazing customer service, order some canning seals for jars about 4 years ago, yet kept receipt and order form. About 6 weeks ago, I called gave them the information right out of the papers and I just went to pick them up. (Previously order 4 packs, this time 5!) So great to find a place like the good old days, where customer is first, the good old ways!

This is an old-school hardware store. Store associates are friendly and helpful. It's a good place to pickup small items rather than driving to one of big box home improvement stores and walking a mile to find what you need. Merchandise is limited, but you can order items on the Ace Hardware app for pickup at this location.

Attempted to return a faucet that was the wrong size, with a receipt. Store associate would not do a refund or exchange because the price tag had been removed. My biggest issue was his attitude... It was literally NO.. Next customer. He made absolutely 0 effort to help resolve my problem. I'll never shop this location again

This a neighborhood store that treats you like a human unlike lowe's/home depot. They have a decent but small selection on site but work closely with the large ACE warehouse/website to quickly get you whatever you need. Last week i bought a custom part through the website and picked it up a day later at the store.

Surprisingly complete range of DIY supplies. Friendly and helpful people. A throw back to the days of the local hardware around the corner staffed by people you can get to know and who care about you! My favorite Houston hardware store. I make several trips every time I come from Canada for a visit.

They couldn’t have been more kind in helping me order a grill and then pick it up. I got a call the morning it came in. The young man at the front also helped another customer with direction to the store that could supply something the Ace didn’t carry.

Awkward to try and park with a semi in way, but the lady at the register was very friendly. Was able to find what i needed. Asked for something special( H2 pencil lead )they didn't carry but she was interested in getting some which i found awesome.

Friendly staff but store hours are horrible. Stores states they close at 4pm, which is bad enough as it is, but I’ve stopped in at 3:30-3:45 a few times and they are already closed. Store would be much more helpful if open at least until 6.

I called this store on Wednesday to ask about prices for fertilizer. I walk into the store on Thursday and the price has increased 44%, so in my shock, I ask the lady at the register if they changed prices. Her response "Prices go up,

Impressively laid out and far more expansive inventory than I would have expected from a store this size. Friendly staff at hand to help, and an atmosphere reminiscent of the hardware stores I remember from when I was a kid.

I come today to this place for something that i needed to repair my bathroom sink and i found everything that i was looking for and a little more that I wasn’t even looking for but they are very nice people and helpful too

Ordered some winter rye grass seeds and the order came on time as the manager stated. Very nice and helpful, this place is becoming my number one stop for my small projects and handyman projects. Thank you ACE

The guy who runs this place is extremely helpful. It's small, but they always have what I need. Having a place in the neighborhood saves a lot of time. You can get in and out and back home in a few minutes.

This store is fine and I go because it's close, but it hours of operations are awful. I can't tell you how many times I've just gone to lowes but this place closes at 4. At least 6 pm would be helpful.

Great selection, bilingual ,helpful, respectful, customer service attendants, accesible by METRO Route 44 and affordable prices!! Would have it in mind for next shopping experiences, very satisfied!

This place is almost always closed. We showed up at 2pm, but it appears they have random hours of operation, when ever they feel like openning? Seems run down also.

The people in here are very responsible about their jobs, they really pay attention to the things that their shoppers say and incorporate them with the purchase.

Ace is closed down. I don't know why I went there should and will stay shopping at Black owen Hardware store you have had bussiness in community for 40yrs.

This is one of the oldest Ace Hardware stores in the heights area, show some love to the family that's been with the community I know for 60th years.

Main Ace Hardware is a very quaint store. But it is extremely small and doesn't have much room for the extras.. unlike My Ace store..
