We were impressed with Action Flooring from start to finish: they’re a big operation with a multi-layered approach so that nothing gets overlooked. And nothing did get overlooked. Their communication is flawless. Lindsay was great in the showroom, Russel came out for the quote and drew a map of the floor area where the new engineered hardwood was to be installed, and the map was so detailed, that I was practically sold from that point on. Though we got two other quotes from different companies, Action Flooring was far more detailed than the others; it wasn’t the cheapest, but it was more comprehensive, accommodating such needs as providing hard-to-find trim and stretching adjoining carpet. Next came the QC(Quality Control) guy, Edwin, and he came to advise what needed to be taken out in terms of subfloor, trim, and tile in order to prepare for the most trouble-free installation of the new floor. He and Russell came again to inspect the floor once the tear-out was completed to ensure the floor was level and advise what adjustments might be made. The delivery of the hardwood was flawless. The coup de grace, however, was the installer, Thomas who was bar-none, the best carpenter I’ve ever met. He laid down the hardwood as if it was for his own house. The cuts he made to work in the new flooring showed he loved the challenge to make the floor look the best it could. If ever there was a tradesman who plied his trade as an art form, it was Thomas. What an artisan. The job was a difficult one because of the age of our old house, the stairs, the tight corners, the small space, and the odd angles that were never really square. Not only was he meticulous, but he was efficient, fast, and methodical. Friendly and funny, too. The floors are everything we could hope for and we really felt that all the parts added up to something greater than the sum: Thanks Action Flooring, for a great experience!

We had a flood in May 2020 and needed to replace our entire basement carpets. The challenge that COVID 19 created was extremely frustrating. In June, we went to a few flooring stores that wouldn't even let us in. Many were open but didn't seem the slight bit interested in our business. I ended up going to Action and from the moment I walked in I was greeted by Dave ( the owner ) who was very courteous and welcoming. They had excellent Covid protocols in place ( hand sanitizer and signing in of all customers ). We were shown a number of carpets by their staff and untimely ended up dealing with Andreia ( Sales and design consultant ). She was very knowledgable and courteous, and was able to set us up with exactly what we were looking for. Everyone from Dave and Andreia right to the installation scheduling department were very professional and honoured their policy on competitive pricing. We expected to wait a long time due to the Covid slowdown, however they had our carpets ordered and installed exactly as they had promised. We had one small hiccup with one of the carpet installations, however they dealt with it and rectified the problem very promptly. Going forward , I would not hesitate to use Action Carpet again for any of my flooring needs, as it was so refreshing and to find so many people working together to make our experience an excellent one !! If you want your flooring to take 1 year, 3 weeks and 6 days to complete, then absolutely go with Action Flooring. There were times I went 5,6 or even up to 8 weeks without hearing a word from them. Their mistakes ended up changing the complete aesthetic of my home. The end result is only satisfactory, that's the best I can say. The sub-trades they hire are incompetent. They sent a man to my home who cleaned up INSIDE by using a LEAF BLOWER! to clear the dust in his path. They told me on a Friday they would be there Monday, and please remove our toilet. We did so Sunday night. They came back 5 weeks later, leaving my family of 4 with one toilet for 5 weeks. The exception is T.O'G (I won't publish his name), who did the finishing woodwork. His work was exemplary, the only bright spot and seemingly the only one who cared about his work. Why would I need woodwork for a new vinyl floor you ask? Because they botched the job so badly, the whole design had to change half-way through the project. This company does not care, they say sorry over and over and over, but they aren't. It should not take 392 days to complete a vinyl floor install, and yet, IT DID. 392 days! We have dubbed this company "Inaction Flooring" in our house. Look elsewhere, don't let the fancy showroom fool you.

If you don't slide across your new floors like Tom Cruise in Risky Business you picked the wrong floors. I picked the right one's thanks to Action Flooring. I had the pleasure of dealing with Brayann and Carly. Both are great at communicating & answering your questions. They also do well in following up with questions, answers, and issues if they arise. A sample of my floor was brought to Action Flooring and Brayann lined up some pretty good comparable flooring for me to view even before I arrived. I had some questions about luxury vinyl and she answered everything. The thing I liked was Brayann never tried to steer me into choosing a floor they needed to sell. The choice was 100% mine and I took samples to test for a few days. When I spoke with Carly she was fantastic with scheduling the install crew, adjusting around my schedule, and letting me know if something came up. She always sounds so cheery on the phone which is nice because I was under a lot of stress. After my floors were installed Carly asked if I had seen them in all their glory yet. She genuinely seemed excited for me. It's the little, subtle things with service that separate Action Flooring from good to great.

I have just completed a second home renovation with the help of Action Flooring. The first time we shopped around a bit and decided to go with Action after checking out competitors. The second time we didn't give it a second thought and went straight to them. They're the best. From our initial consults with Marek, to the actual floor installations with Thomas and the rest of their contractors, the work was absolutely flawless. This company goes over and above with everything from start to finish. With 2600 square feet of flooring to figure out, it was no small feat. In all, we contracted them to do 3 bathroom floors, a tiled shower, and then about 2,000 square feet of hardwood. Marek helped us pick out materials that were classic, functional and in our budget. We had some very specific design ideas in mind and Marek was able to come up with economical options that look incredible. Having dealt with so many contractors lately, I'd also like to point out how timely and tidy they were. Our project was finished on time, everything looks great, and we couldn't be happier.

Action Flooring did an outstanding job on our floor installation. Lauren was quick to respond, gave good advice on flooring options, prepared an estimate quickly, and followed up when I didn't respond (turned out there was an error in my email address and I hadn't received it). The really great part was the installation: it was scheduled to take one day to remove old hardwood and install new boards. I came close to the end of the day to check on progress and discovered to my dismay that the floor looked nothing like what I expected. I called Lauren immediately: she got her manager Sean to contact me (by this time it was 9:30pm on a weekend - pretty impressive). Turned out the supplier had shipped the wrong boards. With no further calls or involvement from me the correct boards were delivered, the installer came back, and finished up ahead of schedule. The floor looks fantastic - but just as importantly, the service was fantastic. I would definitely use Action Flooring again, and highly recommend this company.

Without giving away details or names... Let me tell you a similar story, Allegorically! We ordered our meal at McDonalds and were told it would take three minutes to prepare, so we waited in the parking lot. After 15 minutes one of the employees comes out and brings us half of our meal ... They are not sure what happened to the other half. So we wait some more and then we go in again and again to ask where the rest of our order is - they don't know... but they offer us a free Big Mac to compensate us. When they bring the Big Mac out to us it is apparent that someone had taken a bite out of the sandwich. (What!? I know, right!) So we refuse to accept. Finally, after an hour of waiting (remember this is an allegory of actual events), the other half of our order arrives. We are relieved and thankful. And not to forget the offer of a free sandwich, they now give us a hamburger. How many stars would you give for customer service like that?

Both sales representative (Marek Staszuk) and installer ( Eric Dimaculangan/EAD Flooring) are very unprofessional and unresponsive after the sales and installation was completed but noted the deficient work. Action Flooring hired 1 incompetent sub-contractor to do a rushed job ( 937 sq.ft. flooring) that has no regard for health and safety of the client. My family has now contracted COVID-19 very likely through the installer (who was sporadically coughing during the 3 day install but did not mask) and this company has no regard whatsoever. My flooring has unfinished seals between the floor and cabinets under the kitchen sink and I am being ignored after many attempts to reach out to them and correct it. NO LUCK from both of these individuals... Please do your research well and look at recent reviews... I should have stuck to my instincts and avoided them.

We had been looking around for new flooring for our 20 year old home. We had looked at many flooring companies, we wanted an engineered hardwood and had not found the One product we loved. We went to Action and their showroom is huge. We walked around and found the hardwood that we chose, then chatted with our sales person to help us find a matching tile. We found a tile that we lived and went ahead with the order. Install started within 3 weeks as we had to wait for product.to arrive. We wanted the crew to work the weekend as we wanted to get the majority of the work done all at 1 time. They were more than willing to do it. Install crew was very professional and did an amazing job. We were contacted by Action Flooring several times throughout the installation to make sure we were happy. Would highly recommend them if your looking for flooring.

We were very impressed with the level of customer service and attention to detail Christine provided us. It took us some time to decide on the correct samples, but we were very well taken care of. We used Action for our Kitchen Reno in our condo and they did an outstanding job. They completed the tile floor and back splash in the kitchen. We were so happy with the work and value for money, we subsequently had our living and dining rooms converted to laminate. Excellent installation! Sometime later we had them replace all the carpet in the bedrooms and loft. Again, great value for money, very good workmanship and timely installation. They also completed a couple of repairs on the laminate previously installed, even though it was out of warranty. Highly recommend you contact Christine to get a quote for your next flooring job!

Would never recommend, even to my worst enemy! Picking the flooring and the sales lady that came to our house at the start was the only good experience with action flooring. Everything from scheduling to the quality of work has been a complete nightmare!!! Floors were purchased February 2022 and as of May 2023 we are still dealing with problems! They took forever to install and had to come remove the tile we had done 3 times before it was done properly. At one point we had an installer in our house while we weren't home and they called my wife and said "oh you don't want that person at your house. We will send someone different tomorrow" not sure what that means but sounds sketchy to me. Now, over a year later, we are still dealing with the quality control department to fix the shotty work that they preformed.

We went in for new Vinyl Flooring with very little knowledge and a tight budget. Our sales rep., Marek was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with showing us what to look for in our budget. He was very professional, not pushy and did not rush our decision at any time. After placing our order we only waited a few days for the order to arrive and be delivered. Their Installation Crew were pleasant and very considerate of practicing Safety control ( Covid 19) using MASKS the whole time they were working our home. Andrew and Jay were very professional as well as their work being precise and clean. They went above and beyond when they discovered a problem on a small area of our floor and found a remedy in no time at all. I would definitely recommend this company. It's a 5 star company.

Quite satisfied with final result. Installer Younes Al Ahmad was good, as was assistant.. They kept things very neat, and swept and vacuumed everywhere during the install. We had to follow up a bit because our sales person was away sick. The communication was a bit poor on the day of the install, when I phoned back to check, the fellow Jason, said the installed had not shown up yet, I am sure he was very busy so I understand. TIP. when you choose a sample ask them first to check with the manufacture to see if it is still available. Our first choice was not, but fortunately we found one quickly that was. this can happen quite a bit with different product. When I first went to action flooring the reception was terrible. I waited 3 months and went in again and it was quite good that time.

A flooding dishwasher caused damage to our existing hardwood and resulted in our first vinyl plank installation. We had shopped around and received 3 quotes. We were really happy with the service and products at Action. Our home has a sunken living room and dining room, and Action offered a custom stair nosing made from the vinyl plank (as opposed to generic stair nosing in a different material, which was all that was offered at the other 2 places that quoted) which really finished the look and really made it appear to be hardwood flooring. We are back buying flooring for a different property. Karoline has been outstanding to work with on both jobs, helping us find a lovely product that works within our budget and timelines. Highly recommend Action Flooring & Design Abilities.

The flooring was put know well. Very disorganized. Several different start dates. Baseboard installer sitting in his car for four hours first day then came back several more times saying he had finished the baseboards but missed 3 spots in the basement. Not enough baseboards or flooring ordered. We were told it would be about two weeks,it was over 2 months. The baseboards guy did extra work patching extra holes and smoothing the walls. I got blamed for this. To which I replied I am at work they should know what to do. They asked me for my phone number never called. Asked everyday for there money and I had to tell them three times when the job is done I will sign off. They finished I signed off never heard from them again to ask how the work was nothing.

5 Month Ago Let us wish and hope that this comes out to be a nice, full of variety and designs, designer store for floor furnishings in South East of city Edmonton. It will be boon specifically for Millwoods side communities. Best of luck!! Action flooring recently installed vinyl plank flooring in the upper floor of my duplex (rental property). Kristine was my sales associate and did a phenomenal job. I wasn't even aware of vinyl plank flooring until she steered me in that direction. Kristine listened to my concerns and took my budget into consideration and came up with a solution that I'm thrilled with. The flooring is durable and looks fantastic. Kevin the installer was very professional and extremely patient in dealing with my less than stellar tenants. He went over the installation and explained in detail the entire process. He was very courteous and did an outstanding job. I will absolutely have Action Flooring install florring for my future projects.

The sales staff at action Flooring have a great eye for flooring. The show room is incredible. The sales staff answered all of our questions and gave us great information on the different types of flooring available within our budget. When choosing what would go with our cabinets, the suggestions made helped us narrow down the perfect match for our project. They were kind and patient with us and when we finally made our decision, getting all the prices together, materials ordered and installation set up went like clockwork. We purchased new carpeting for a bedroom from Action Flooring. From start to finish the service we received was excellent. The front desk staff greeted us in a friendly manner. Our sales representative, Ashley, was very helpful in choosing and matching the carpet to existing carpet. She was able to visit our home the next day to measure and provide the total cost of the work as well as a timeframe for when the carpet would be available. Thereafter the staff organizing the installation provided a convenient installation date. The installer arrived on time and did excellent work. Overall it was a pleasant experience for us and we are happy with the finished result.

Action Flooring was great for the upgrade and replacement of my floors due to a sewer backup. The service was excellent, from the showroom to the installation. Amazing the types of laminate that are available. The new laminate I selected has made a huge difference in the look and feel of my condo. The installation was professional and timely. The workmanship is excellent, with all the laminate panels correctly installed and level. When the baseboards were put back on the walls there were no gaps or spaces between the wall and laminate. Everything fit perfectly. I would highly recommend Action Flooring for any type of flooring installation. They are the best!

I had several quotes from companies and I have to say how impressed I was with the professionalism of the staff at Action Flooring. Trish assisted me in the store, came to my home to measure the house up and take photos - was very thorough. Yves came to remove the old carpet and install the new carpet. Our staircase is a daunting circular 16 step staircase and I knew challenging for even the most skilled of carpet installers. Install excellent - followed a couple of weeks later by a quality control visit - great follow up. There is nothing that replaces great service in my mind and that is what this company is about. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We used action flooring to replace the floors in our condo. Our sales rep Randi was great and gave us lots of options and samples to take home and try and she managed to work within our budget. The product arrived quickly and the installers were here within 2 weeks to install it. The installers we had were amazing as well...super friendly and took so much time and did an amazing job. Even with all the baseboards and fiddly bits ( we had a lot of weird angles) and it looks great! Awesome !! We went with Action Flooring for our whole house through a contractor after a disaster with another company. Let’s just say they saved the day !! We were match with Karoline and she was amazing. Really fast turn around and knowledgeable. I asked her later on to help me find a carpet for my sister’s basement last minute and was amazed. We recently experienced a major water accident in our home and had to replace the hardwood and laminate flooring. The experience working with Action Flooring from start to finish has been great. Terry was the lead on our floors and Lauren shared her expertise in helping us make decisions around what would be the best option. We even were able to negotiate to have some additional work done. The tear out and install were done quickly and efficiently and the installers always tidied up after themselves. I have since recommended this firm to my mom and dad as well and I'm sure they will have the same great service!

Action Flooring recently replaced the hardwood throughout the main floor of my home. It was the owner of the company who helped me to pick out the style and color of flooring - much appreciated since I don't have an eye for this type of thing. The new flooring totally updated the look of the house. The staff at Action were great to work with. The installers, Claude and Chad, were fantastic. They finished well ahead of schedule, did excellent work on the floor and trim, and cleaned up well both inside and outside once the job was done. I would definitely recommend this company.... and the two installers!

Updated Review: Nice selection of flooring, it's what sold us on Action Flooring. Installers do a great job overall, and we appreciated the quality control follow-ups, as well as the General Manager working hard to set things right when communication about the job stalled early on. The job is nearly done and it looks great. If you go with Action, make sure to ask at the start for the best way to reach out and who your main point of contact will be if you have questions, need more information or have a complaint throughout the job. Don't hesitate to reach higher up the chain if needed.

**review update - Action Flooring has taken appropriate measures to remedy this situation** Action Flooring did a laminate install for us in the spring. It was a repair for water damage and only a portion of the underlay was damaged. When the installer was here to replace the laminate and underlay, he installed plastic under the laminate where the original underlay was damaged. We only discovered this today because we are having new flooring installed. This is horrible and so disappointing. Just because the customer cannot see it doesn't mean it should not be done properly.

This would have been ranked as 1 Star, but Oshea was excellent to deal with. Everything with this flooring project went sideways. From not measuring correctly, to not installing correctly and delivery of product not needed. And putting their stuff on a $5K dinning table. Incorrect height for sub flooring, not installing toe kicks or baseboards correctly. The list went on. And then requested more money for items they said they did but didn’t. For example removal of toilet but didn’t touch the bathroom at all. Definitely wasn’t a win and the project took longer than expected.

From our first conversation on the phone with one of their representatives to the last piece of flooring being installed, the people at Action Flooring were fantastic. When we went to their showroom the knowledge of their staff helped us work through getting flooring back in to our house. Our flooring was installed in a timely fashion and by true experts in the field of flooring. We were always informed a day in advance of when they were coming and they always showed up when they said they would. For any flooring needs I would highly recommend Action Flooring

This was the most horrible experience will never go there again . We got no service when we came to your show room. Really like the tile we found said had good warranty we believed them our fault we should have gone elsewhere and got some service but was referred to us saying they had very good products.Now see floor scratches have no pets had 5 quotes all different was a nitemare have 3 1/2 boxes left over not there problem which are not returnable 70sq ft they measured x5.95 sq ft . We are seniors this was a terrible experience. Don’t shop here

We hired Action Flooring to do the flooring in our new house: all the carpet, some vinyl floor for a studio, and rubber gym flooring. Our sales rep (Carmen) was awesome and helped us select the perfect products. There was an issue with the rubber gym flooring, but the service manager (Melissa) took care of everything and made sure it was perfect in the end. And you can tell the owner (Dave) cares about his customers and takes pride in his team's work. I recommend Action Flooring and would use them again for any future flooring projects.

Action Floors did it right. It started from working with their sales team. Thanks Oshea! He helped me make the right choices for style, colors, and where needed upgrade for quality. They were also able to adapt when my better half decided that quartz countertops were very important. The installations group (thanks Kristina) completed things ahead of schedule and explained the order of how things were getting done. Last the installers I met on site were friendly, positive and took pride in the quality of their work.

Our new bathroom floors looked so good we decided to do the kitchen as well. Staff at the store were professional and helpful and really knew what they were doing - and reacted well when we found out I had made some errors in measuring the spaces! The installer, Kelly, who was at our house for a few days (because of my mis-measurement causing us to order more tile from Calgary) did an amazing job - the floors look incredible. When I re-carpet my basement in a few months, I'm definitely going back to Action.

We needed to replace the flooring in our bathroom. We were referred to Brayann through a friend at Puroclean. We hired them to both the shower surround and the tile floor. The shower surround went perfectly! The tile floor had a few issues with spacing, however they were quick to send a crew out (Saturday evening/ Sunday afternoon) to rectify the issues. We couldn’t be happier with the service of both Action Flooring and their installation crew! Thank you again for the amazing experience!

Action Flooring went above and beyond in order to make sure we were happy. We had some delay in our flooring arriving due to covid-19, and further delay for our stair nosing. Due to the further delay of the stair nosing, our installer was no longer available to put it in. Action flooring graciously installed it for us. Josh was wonderful to work with and Sean was very thoughtful in setting it all it up. In totality, we are happy with how everything turned out.

We recently purchased an engineered hardwood floor from Action Flooring and had excellent service from start to finish. We had a very tight timeframe from when we took possession of our new home and move-in. Marek helped us select the floor and scheduled everything very quickly. BUYER BEWARE - ABYSMAL SERVICE! We moved into a new home over 2 years ago and we have received nothing but excuses and empty promises from this company. A simple nosing repair as a result of their flooring techs error which everyone agrees is a “small” job. So small they don’t care about it??? If you must buy your flooring from them then have someone else do they install and save the aggravation.

Very prompt in service. Lauren was able to give me a good deal on our price and was very helpful in suggesting types of carpet. The installation was scheduled exactly when I wanted. Thom (I think) did a very good job in installing. He gave a few suggestions to help with some fixes in the basement, too. Wonderful service by everyone at Action flooring, who worked on my elderly mom’s house. Special shout out to Russell who was first contact and Travis and his crew. It’s nice to see people that actually take pride in their work! They also cleaned up and re-did shoddy workmanship previously done by another company. Would recommend to all my friends! Not very happy. My floor is beautiful. Just everything else. Installer was not professional in his attitude product was delivered and put in my house when no one was home no permission given to enter home. Different transition was ordered that was more expensive and not agreed upon. 4 noses on steps were not put on. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had an excellent experience from the sales side right through to the installation. Leeanne was very responsive and answered all clarifications without delay. The installation from Andrew was superior and met all our expectations! The attention to detail is amazing. We love our new floors! Love Action Flooring! We have had hardwood floors and carpet installed with them and both installs were done quickly and look wonderful! Their showroom gives many options for every budget and they have the best samples of flooring colours and styles around. Staff have always been welcoming and helpful! I was a little bit torn on whether I was going to give this company a three star review or a four star review, but I decided to go with four based on my initial encounter with Oshea and how the install went. One star was definitely lost because the communication within this company is not very good. There definitely is a lack of communication in house.

Had some beautiful vinyl plank installed by Serge. What a great guy! The sales person, Karoline, was so helpful and we were very happy with the pricing. The installation department was great about communicating with us and we were so happy with Serge's installation. I highly recommend Action Flooring, it was a great experience from start to finish.

Had a great experience with these guys. Not only did we receive fantastic help picking the finishes (bathroom design is not my thing!), delivery was quick, and the tile and flooring was faultless. This project was part of an insurance claim, but would use again for private work.
