Words cannot describe how hurt I am by this garage. Active Green + Ross has a policy within their company to only use parts from a "large variety of wholesalers", this part that was quoted to me was $160+ overpriced. I called for the same part within the city at two different common places and they were $160 or over in difference in price and in stock. Because I was not able to afford the estimate that I received. When picking up my car, they doubled my diagnostic fee that was quoted to me verbally and on paper, because I was not getting the work done with them that day. I didn't say I wouldn't get the work done, just couldn't afford it at this time. I also wasn't told if I didn't get the work done that it would be a different fee. Not even just that, when my husband dropped the car off at 10am for our 11am appointment, they told him it should have been there at 8am (i have an appointment email confirmation for 11am) and wasn't polite about it. I wanted this to be public to let people know that the "company policy" on parts and their wholesalers seem to be completely okay with the upsale on parts to their customers. It's okay to question a garage and their prices- something seemed off and I was right. Why didn't Active see that 'off' price and find another part from their "many wholesalers in the city" before giving me the estimate?

What an amazing experience going here!! Took my sportie in for a service and this incessant squeak that was annoying me. Took us a few times to get it figured out. Not once did I get any grief at all for showing up on their door step about it. They indeed got it fixed, and now my car is quiet again. They did a 30 point check as well, and pointed out a few things that should be changed. No pressure on their part to get them fixed, being somewhat mechanically inclined I had them fix the major things that could potentially be a safety issue. If you want a great overall experience, with zero pressure, no upselling of anything you don’t need. Then I highly recommend coming here, Alex and John are both great guys, and between them and the mechanics, they know their stuff. This was my first visit here, and moving forward they’ll ALWAYS be my go to for my repairs. Thanks guys for getting me back up and running again (noise free).

I was very impressed with the service mangers (Alex I believe) ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure with all his staff while on the phone dealing with warranty issues and customers while carrying out a friendly conversation with me. The shop was very busy when I showed up at 9 am sharp. My vehicle was on the hoist in 10 mins to repair the same tire at no cost… despite being told that it could not be repaired again. The tire was pulled off the rim, re-plugged, sealed and re-installed. I was up and running in just over an hour. The tire did not have to be replaced after all. I was so pleased to not have to fork out 3-4 hundred dollars for a replacement. I appreciated the honest manner customers were spoken to and how well the staff was treated. I will be back to buy four new summer Michelins! Keep up the great work. Service centres like yours are hard to find!! John

My wife and I each bought winter rims and tires. We asked for alternating appointments on the same day and stated we needed both vehicles back by 4. My wife was the first car there and we still had to call several times until finally around 1, they said it was ready. Clearly we were bumped by people who stayed there with their cars. My wife dropped me off at 4:40 and my truck was still up on the hoist. With her having to drop me off at that time, we had to arrange drives for our kids to sports. I got my truck after 5. Then when I got home, I was disappointed to see that my summer tires were in the back of the truck without bags on them. The installer also didn't label my tires. Lf etc. When I called to inform them about the service, the guy on the phone said we've been out of bags for 2 weeks and usually we label the tires. Do not go to this company.

I've been using Active Green+Ross for a long time. I find their customer service at every location I've been to is top notch and they're not interested in gouging you on each visit, they understand that a long term, happy customer is more valuable than making a few bucks extra but losing customer trust. I have to say though, this location far exceeded my expectations. The team at this location is fantastic and will take care of you. If you're worried about shady mechanics taking advantage of you, give this team a chance. You won't regret it. Great work guys. Keep it up!

Finally found someone I can trust! O am a H3 Hummer and I always seem to get the take him for a ride kind of attitude.this garage is so laidback back and honest ..best price in town and quality of work is impeccable ..they will be my mechanic shop for me from now on ..no waisted time in and out ..My Hummer has not run so well since bought it and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg ! ..thanks boys I’ll be back . Can’t recommend them enough .from front office to mechanics ..felt very well taken care of from start to Finnish ..thanks a lot guys !

They’re not bad, however I used to like going there because it was moderately priced and short wait times. But now they have changed their prices and I just got charged about $120 to get an oil change. Most places in the city do it for half that price. They also made me wait 2 hours and did not have a spare car to provide me, where other garages have this service. Overall, I do recommend them but I also advise that you shop around for cheaper and better alternatives.

I recently had two new sets of tires put on our vehicles. We have worked with this location for our work fleet and personal vehicle tire replacements and basic maintenance for several years now. We have always felt their service and responsiveness have been above and beyond. Specifically I would like to thank Alex for always finding the best solutions for our vehicles. This place is always welcoming and warm. Alex always finds the right words to make your mood better! Second to none in Ottawa. The employees are professional and courteous. They are also very transparent and honest with their prices. I have never been upsold on services that I don’t need. Furthermore, In my experience, they are extremely accommodating. They have taken my car in for service when I gave them limited to no notice ahead of time.

Best auto shop in Ottawa! Bought tires here and in few months, a nail went in one of them and I came back. Active green and ross honoured the one year warranty and replaced the tire. Came back another time with a license plate bracket with rusty screws. They replaced my screws for free! Hands down, best customer service!

They were short staffed. I would have preferred a call asking if I could consider rescheduling. When I drove my vehicle, the tire icon lit up, telling me that tire pressures were all wrong. I drove a block and pulled a u-turn to return to AG+R but the warning light went out by the time I reached AG+R. Disconcerting

The service manager Alex was very friendly and helpful. I dropped in without an appointment and he and his staff took my car in for a tire repair. It is not often you get great service and price all in one. Thank you Alex and Stuart, I will be back again for any future repairs. Found a Gem and wasn’t looking!

Took a pretty short notice appointment on an off rim tire purchase + swap and did a great job compared to service at the dealership. I even came back a few days later for a re-torque, didn't have to show proof of purchase or pay anything. Worker came out and did it in a couple of minutes and off I went.

Alex and John are great guys that go above and beyond to make sure they not only get you back on the road quickly but that they save you money wherever they can. The team of mechanics they have working for them are hard working and efficient and they always make the experience as pleasant as possible.

All of the staff are Uber knowledgeable and friendly. If it’s doable they will fit you in short notice and will always work with you to find the best solution for your vehicles needs, either immediate or later on down the road. Always a great experience. Thanks guys! :)

I went there and got 4 band new all weather tires for my Mazda CX 5. The staff did a great job and the tires as so much better then to ones I had on my car. I would definitely recommend the Michelin Cross Climate 2. Active Green and Ross is a great place to get tires.

Excellent experience from beginning to end! Alex and John were helpful every step of the way, from a fair estimate, scheduling to completion, they we extremely friendly, open and provided no surprises when it came time to pay. I'll be beck for sure!

Small but important repair on my Audi TT. Got to it immediately even though I didn't have an appointment. Sourced the parts and I was back on the road next morning. Great service and more than fair price. I recommend this shop!
