It wasn't my first visit to the shop, but today was really exceptionally useful. The selection of tools, parts, components is very good, and reasonably priced and there is an extra: the staff and other customers (with various industry experience). Just mention the purpose of your purchase, and you will get great advice free of charge (today,'s advice cut the work what I expected to be 20 minutes to 5 minutes, and the recommended tool cost just half of the price of tool I intended to buy.

John is amazing. I was determined to fix a dyson that someone was chucking away and i ordered the part i needed found a you rube video and suddenly did not have the right tool half way through the job. I went to a local hardware shop that couldn't even tell me what i needed and then found these guys after a quick google search. John did not give up till he found me the right tool and i saved the hoover from the tip. Thanks John you are a diamond geezer :)

Great to have such a well stocked DIY shop in Aigburth - prices are competitive so I rarely go to the bigger stores because the savings, if any, are not worth the trip. Staff helpful and knowledgeable and if they don't have something they can normally get it in the next day. They also deliver!

These guys are the real deal - proper old school hardware shopkeepers! They'll sell you two screws in a paper bag if that's all you need - I've only once had them not have what I needed. They're great!
