This is a welcoming Modern Orthodox synagogue with a diverse congregation including Ashkenazi and Sephardi, and Orthodox and not so Orthodox. There is a certain level of women's participation (for example, women dance with the Torah on Simhat Torah). Gay and trans people are welcome. Rabbi Yossi Benarroch is a warm, wise leader, teacher, and baal tefilah. The congregation does need support both financially and to maintain its daily minyan.
Very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable Rabbi. Gives excellent Zoom and private lessons. Although orthodox, not fundamentalist or Haredi. Always available. Despite pandemic he has kept it all going better than before. His classes are available on the adasyeshurun.ca website.
