This is classic 'black hat' shul. The Rav - Rabbi Moshe Brown is a huge talmid chochom and is renowned for his shiurim and lectures.
If you want to daven with people who are serious about their yiddishkeit, look no further.
I know the rav personally. When you talk to him it's like talking to a malach.
