PLEASE READ!!!!! This place is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate mechanics but I LOVE THIS GUY. The owner's name is Abraham. He is the one who helped me through the whole process of getting my car repaired. I had an accident where my car was labeled a total loss. I was worried about how much it was going to cost to get it fixed. I called a few places to get quotes. When I called Al's, they quoted me about 1/3 of the price other places were trying to charge me. The best part was that the quote he gave me over the phone after only looking at pictures, was the same amount after he actually looked at my car. You could tell he was very experienced. Anyway, during the whole process he would text me and keep me updated on what they were doing and what needed fixed, etc. He made me feel like I was their only customer. He always responded immediately to my messages and questions. When the tow truck finally brought him my car I asked "So how many days it is going to take before i can pick up my car?" He said, "It'll be ready in 3 hours." My jaw dropped, I had never had any car work done before that hasn't taken at least a week. He texted me as soon as the car was done, sent me pictures of it, and did a routine inspection on it after completion. That's when he noticed my windshield wipers weren't working and messaged me about it. I was SO glad he did because I totally forgot they had stopped working a few weeks back. He also fixed that problem on the spot as well! Then when I went to go pick up my car he explained to me what they did to my car and also said "Oh yeah we also gave you an oil change because we noticed it was time for one, but don't worry, we didn't charge you for it." I mean c'mon....this kind of service you don't even get at a fancy restaurant, much less a mechanic shop. All in all I would give this guy 20 stars if I could. Don't bother going anywhere else with you car. This guy will treat you like a Queen/King.

This is the best place in Dallas to take your car if it needs repair. Sean is the owner and he is the most trustworthy guy ever I have taken my car to. I have been there on two occasions and the last occasion didn’t even cost me a dime because unbeknownst to me ~ nothing was wrong with my car. The check engine light had come on and I was very nervous about this, thinking it was going to cost me beaucoups of money. Before my ride showed up to pick me up so I could leave my car there, Sean came up and dangled the keys in my face and said “you’re good to go, the gas tank cap was loose”. I was like “OMG, are you kidding?” So see there ~ Sean could’ve taken me for hundreds of dollars and I never would’ve known the difference, but instead, he was honest and saved me hundreds of dollars!! That speaks volumes!! I will definitely go back every time something is wrong with my car. Thnx Sean‼️

This shop is amazing I recently just took my Nissan sentra in because I had this horrible banging noise and I took my car to Christian Brothers and they advised that I needed new struts and mounting . Well in march I use Al's auto & tire to get those fixed he was more than happy to warranty the struts and check them when he checked them they were in perfect condition . He went over and beyond to figure out what it was and turn out it was my frame bushing that went out and to replace it cost 200-300 dollars .. he saved the day again and came up with an alternative that was cheaper by putting a spacer that only cost 86 dollar . I would definitely recommend this shop he is very quick and being a woman he breaks down what he has to do and its very reasonable . I wont be taking my car to any other shop . Thanks Robert for being so amazing and just being easy to deal with .

Highly recommend! I will never, ever go to another shop!!! The 1st time I took my car to Al's auto repair was after a different 'big name' repair shop told me I needed a ton of high dollar repairs. I had serious doubts b/c I never skipped any maintenance checks & routine service & this particular car was very rarely driven (V8-gas guzzler). I only brought my vehicle in b/c it was making a strange noise when I made right turn (only sometimes). I paid the diagnostic fee & I left. A couple days later, I went to Al's auto repair (totally on a whim. I saw the shop was still open late after I got off work) & I'm SO GLAD that I did. The owner (A.B.) & shop manager (Shawn) were able to quickly diagnose & fix the problem (for waaayyy less $$$$ than the other place quoted) & guess what... It turns out that my car didn't need any other repairs after all!

Shawn, the manager, is incredibly friendly and funny and just a really nice guy. I got all of the mounts in my car replaced and an AC repair and the work was done for exactly the price quoted and in exactly the amount of time quoted. They even tightened a loose belt for me as a courtesy while doing the other repairs! Additionally, they were able to find and repair the AC leak that other shops had failed to be able to locate. It was really refreshing that they didn't try to sell me repairs or services that I didn't need. The price was great too! Both repairs cost about the same as a different shop was going to charge just for the mount work. I strongly recommend this shop!! I couldn't be happier!

I don’t usually leave google reviews, but Al’s deserves the best I can give. My engine was leaking oil, and I had been shopping around for prices. Most other places charged $100 or more just to diagnose the issue before quoting me $975. Al diagnosed it for free, quoted me $300 less than everywhere else, and pointed me the right direction to find a used part (as the part that was broken on my truck was discontinued). Then, once I’d tracked my part down, I brought it in. Al had some trouble with his people being sick, so the 2 day operation dragged into 4. But without me having to ask, he gave me another $180 off the work because of the delay. TLDR: If you need work done on your car, go to Al’s.

This place is amazing. After being scammed by another mechanic and robbed for hundreds lll I was skeptical about finding a new 1. After reading reviews I chose this place. They fixed my vehicle quick and inexpensive! I felt confident about them and left a 2nd vehicle which I was more protective of and now it’s running better than I could ever imagine. Amazing prices. Amazing people. Sean was so nice and Miguel will always be my go to for anything I need on my cars. I’m sure anywhere else would have charged me almost triple just to get money out of me but they are so honest here and I will never go anywhere else.

I will never go anywhere else. When we moved to West Dallas, I lost the convenience of my longtime mechanic being down the block. Fortunately, I hadn't needed any work on my truck for a long time. This week that changed, and I needed to find a shop close to me, and Al's is only a few miles away. From the moment I got there I was treated respectfully and honestly. Shawn took care of me from beginning to end, and explained everything that needed to be done. He made sure I made it out with my truck and my wallet in good shape. I will not be taking my truck anywhere else, and could not recommend this shop higher.

I ordered tires for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler from Goodyear, chose Al's as my tire installer. They insalled them 8/5/17. Now, I wash the jeep almost ever week and today 8/11/17 as I was washing my jeep I noticed deep scratches(see pictures) on my rims and i didnt have a single scratch on them before hand as I always polish my rims. I know this happened when they balanced them or mounted them. Their customer service was great but I am really disappointed in the installation process. I know the truck wasnt yours but you should work on a vehicle as if it were your owns.

Knew the mechanic from a prior shop. He has always had great customer service. Always gives you a detailed explanation of what is going on with your car and will even show you a quick fix that can help until you can afford the repairs. Genuinely cares about getting your car fixed the right way and also has reasonable prices. Also has FREE WiFi which was awesome because I work from home. I was able to set up in the comfortable waiting area with my laptop and do my work. Electric outlets were also easily accessible so I was able to charge my phone as well :)

Recently had one of those "pesky" dash board lights come on. Was not "my tire pressure is low" light so had to do some research. Ended up being the catalytic converter .....worn out, not stolen. Took the car to Shawn at Al's Auto repair on Ft Worth Avenue. As usual, he assessed the car, gave a more than reasonable quote to repair and was done with the work when promised. Shawn and his mechanics keep my 10 yr old SUV running like new for prices that don't make me want to scream and run away . Recommend Al's Auto repair !

While I was up there a customer brought in their car for service but also bought the guys that worked there beer and tacos; need I say more? I pulled up about 5 minutes before close and was in and out and under 7 minutes no attitude a spirit of service professional... I bought my first car in 2019 didn't know anything about cars so I bought it without a title, transmission leaked, all kinds of problems, I hated car dealerships mechanics the whole lot.. 7 minutes was all it took to change my mind, these guys are awesome!

Wasted my time attempting to have my ac serviced here. Took my car in early on a weekday. Left it all day while I was at work. What was supposed to be a 2-3 hour job turned into a bunch of excuses as to why it wasn't done by the time they closed. I attempted to reschedule for a few days later. I am told to be there as soon as they open. I was there but the techs were not. After waiting about an hour I asked for my keys and left. Disorganized. Unreliable. Just plain terrible service. And still didn't get my ac fixed.

ok - not only do Shawn and Abraham give great service - it's reasonably priced and their estimates are SPOT ON. Plus, despite the fact I've only started coming a couple months ago, they immediately know who I am (and recognize my ancient Honda Element who came with me from New England - think WAY rusty parts). I've even gotten rides home when i pick up my car (although I'm not certain i should include that - I don't want others taking advantage of these guys). So yes! you bet 5 stars! Arrived Saturday around 9am left it and came back to pick up at 1pm! I told them what I wanted and they gave me a price before I left it. The services I requested where oil change, alignment, rotation, light bulb change, inspection, and spark plugs. All of this was at a very good price!!!! How amazing it was to get all of this done and not break your bank account. Loved how friendly the service was!!!! Thank you again for the great experience!! I will be coming back to this place for sure!

Wouldn't recommend this place. Straight up shameless liars. I don't know if it's because I'm a woman. I dropped my car off 2 days in a row. 1st day I dropped my car off Early in the morning. I get there at 6 and it looked like they had just started working on it.. I waited for it for an hour to be told that there was something else they needed to do to bring it back the next day. I take it back and am told they couldn't fix it. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone I care about.

I've been getting my oil changed here for a few years now - I have a Honda S2000 which some mechanics don't take the time to read about before jumping in and making mistakes. It's a peculiar car. These guys are great, always quick, always great customer service. Kept my Nalgene water bottle for a few days once when I accidentally left it there. Also, there's wifi at the Jack in a Box next door if you need a place to kill time. I'd trust they'd do a great job on whatever you need.

Took car in a few weeks ago to get AC fixed the mechanic called me back and told me my compressor was fine but the pigtail to the electrical connector was burned out they kept my car four days didn't do any fixing they burnt up the fuse box didn't put the belt back on properly and suddenly the airbag light was on saying you need to be serviced I would definitely not recommend anyone taking their car to this shop but my experience doesn't mean you will have the same experience

First off, I used to hate car repair places because I have trust issues. I had a heat shield wear through the washers and this shop fixed me up in 10 minutes and didn't charge me. Who does that?! The employees were extremely friendly and personable. They had a waiting room with plenty of seating, as pictured. I went in about 8:30am and it was quiet but by the time I left there were 3 or 4 cars coming in. I will be taking my car in at the slightest squeak, from now on.

My friend suggested this place for an oil change, and I'm so glad she did! I usually take my car to the Toyota dealership and it seems every time I do that, they increase the price. Al's not only charged me $55, but the oil change literally took less than 20 minutes. I got in my car and was in pure shock at how fast it was done for a very good price. I will definitely be back if I need anything between my next oil change! Give them your business, you won't regret it!

Great customer service and quality work at a fair price. AB is an honest guy and knows what he is doing. I wouldn’t trust my Jeep with anyone else. Not only do I get my regular maintenance services here, I had a rare instance where my diamond ring fell into the defrost vent and AB took my entire dash/electrical system apart to find it. He reassembled everything with no problem. I am a customer for life. I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks again AB!

Al's Auto Repair has been nothing but a great experience, and is my new trusted repair shop. Everyone I spoke to was so helpful and kind. I had my struts replaced in one day here, and was shocked they got it done so quickly at an affordable price. I also took my car in a different day when the check engine light came on, and the man who helped me was quick and so helpful. I highly recommend Al's for their customer service, honesty, and great prices.

Robert (the owner) is the most fair, knowledgeable and friendly auto mechanic I have ever known. We've taken everything from a Dodge Ram pickup to a Jeep Cherokee to a Toyota Rav4 to him. He has proven an expert on every make and model we send him - domestic and foreign. He is also always fair with the amount of work he does - only what is needed - never anything extra. We highly recommend himfor everything from periodic service to major overhauls.

The reviews do not lie! As a 25 year old female, I dread nothing more than having car issues. The radiator fan on my Nissan Rogue was broken, and the part is on back-order for months. Shawn recommended I order off amazon and they could do the labor. Brought my car and part in on a Monday at 430pm and it was completed by 530pm for an incredibly reasonable price! I will be returning to Al's for all my car needs from now on.

As always they never disappoint. I called to see if they could fix my drivers window. The window kept going back down after I raised it up. I spoke with Shawn and advised him what was happening. He immediately diagnosed the issue and was able to fix it over the phone. I now live over an hr away so I was very appreciative. But always worth the drive for excellent customer service. Will always recommend them.

I called ahead to bring a car by for a thorough pre purchase inspection after having some recent bad car buying experiences while in town. They were beyond nice, fast, and had amazing service. They found some problems and priced out how much those repairs would cost. In the end I didn't go with the car, but I'll take any car here before buying and for any issues that may arise on my visits back to town.

Moved to west Dallas four years ago and was concerned about finding a trustworthy mechanic. We tried Al’s bc it was close and have never been disappointed. They never try to upsell you and tell you what needs to be immediately fixed and if more things are required they’ll prioritize in the order of importance. They manage to squeeze us in when we have last minute issues as well. Highly recommend. A+++

Al's Auto did a repair for $600 *LESS* than Park Cities Ford wanted. There was an issue with a heater hose and a sensor. Ford wanted $900 total to replace each. Al's replaced the leaky hose, and simply cleaned off the sensor because the hose had leaked onto it. They easily could have replaced both and charged me for it, but they are honest (unlike Park Cities) and just cleaned off the sensor for free.

I stopped by on a Monday morning to have my new Bilstein shocks installed on my truck. The staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They quoted me a reasonable price, did not try to upsell me on anything and finished the job quickly. My new coilover shocks were installed well and I have no more squeaks. It's hard to find an honest auto repair shop nowadays. I highly recommend this place.

Have been very impressed with the change in ownership and management from Day 1. Shawn and his guys are friendly, efficient and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of price wise. Everything is explained where I can understand it and is fixed in a short period of time. I never have to take anything back for a second try. This is the only place I would ever think of taking my car.

Honest guys. I did a cross country drive and my car started shaking in low rpm. Took it here and they told me the rear tires were worn out. Referred me to a tire place since they were booked out and I was in a rush. Didn’t try to sell me on unnecessary services. Took it to the tire shop he referred and I was in and out in 20mins. Excellent service! We just moved to the area and my Toyota Corolla started making some weird noises. I checked the local Facebook group for recommendations and despite there being a million car shops in Oak Cliff, almost everyone recommended Al’s. These guys were friendly and extremely reliable! My car was ready almost the next day and it runs perfectly now!

Drove from Houston to Dallas, and noticed a noise coming from my engine getting progressively worse. I'm not sure if it was Al I met, but he came outside, checked under the hood and diagnosed it as low power steering fluid. He poured some in and it was good as new, no charge even after I offered to pay. This will be my go to shop in the future.

Great job on my truck and told me the a/c was an easy fix and changed me accordingly for it. Charged a fair price for everything they did and showed real honesty. Also put a new eom style sideview on and connected it to door control when all i expected was a universal to pass inspection. Thanks Shawn. Will be coming back for future repairs.

Amazing work! It was my first time there and I was told by other people a whole list of repairs. When I saw the good reviews I decided to go to Shawn. They diagnosed the problem and it was ONE issue! Now my car works like a charm and it didn’t cost a fortune that I thought it would cost. I found my new mechanic!

We took a car there, it sat for two days and they did not touch it. None of their lifts worked. We took the car to another mechanic. The business was in the process of changing hands, but in my humble opinion, should have completely closed down until they were up and running. Hope things are better for them now.
