I never write reviews but I have to after tonight’s meal. Hands down the best Indian food around. Possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favour and head into the Aldinga Bay Cafe. Service was top notch. Our server was personable, friendly and knowledgeable. We asked our server her recommendations and allowed her to direct our meal. We were not disappointed. Friday night so there was a steady flow however our meal entrees and mains were timed perfectly. From that alone we could tell the kitchen staff knew what they were doing and we were in for a great meal. The food is simply delicious. Fresh, clean flavours. It was evident the Chef and his staff were first class. Generous portion sizes with plenty to share around. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that’s been put into each plate. Fantastic value too. During our meal, owner and Chef Arbind personally welcomed us and made sure our meals were to our liking. After our meal he talked with us for awhile, his personality, generosity and sincerity shining through. Arbind makes you feel like an old friend. All the staff were happy to be there. Customers were welcomed like family. You could see that the customers had come back time and time again. A genuine and welcoming atmosphere. Arbind and his staff truly value their customers. We’ll be back, it’s our new favourite.
Wow. Just wow. We love authentic Indian food and were so thrilled when we stumbled across this Indian restaurant this evening. When I told Danielle the waitress that I was coeliac, the chef Arbind came out and spoke to us about how he makes his curry and even did some poppadom for me separately in a hot pan. What a legend ❤️❤️. Verdict? We loved everything we ate, which is why there’s only a photo of empty plates. I had the prawn Mapas curry and my partner had lamb Rogan Josh and we both licked the bowls clean. Can’t recommend highly enough - really friendly, genuine staff and chefs. And apparently they do amazing fish and chips too! My top tip - give them a go.

See above. Really attentive chef who understands what ‘being coeliac’ means.
I have eaten at a number of Indian Curry Restaurants in my time but Aldinga Bay Cafe are the best that I have ever eaten at.I like my curry HOT and they do it perfectly every time. The spices are real and full and you may find cloves, cardamom pods and curry leaves showing an authentic spice base. These genuine guys are so consistent, every heat level is catered for and if you aren't in to hot curry's,mild will be safe for anybody. They also have a full menu of cafe style foods for dine in or take away.Fish and chips, burgers and a vast array of fried foods are also available.Beer and wine have a reasonable range also. Can't praise them to much.I grabbed a couple of HOT,HOT Lamb Vindaloo today for the coming days and they smell divine.Raita and other sides are also excellent.
I haven't dined in but this is my go-to for Indian Food. I live at Moana and make the drive to Aldinga every time (well, my husband does ). I really appreciate their opening hours as someone who does early morning shifts, dinner can be as early as 4.00pm so it's amazing they're open then. The food is second to none and the service always amazing. Thank you to the chef.

If we could give 10 stars we would. This is the best Indian food my husband and I have ever eaten and we have been to India. Albind the owner takes so much pride in preparing all the spices by hand, not out of a jar! It is all made with dedication and passion which you can taste in everything you eat. The food is a taste sensation, the prices are reasonable, the place is very clean, there is a good selection of wine and beer to suit all and the service is always with a smile. We are regulars; and as long as he is open we will always be customers . Thankyou for making every dining experience enjoyable :o) :o)

Bit hit and miss, two curries were tasty full flavoured off the bat.the other two were blandish and the chicken hadn't absorbed any flavour, like it had been plonked in the pre made sauce, heated and served. Like all curries, soups etc given a couple of days in the fridge to rest, flavour shines through. Atmosphere great, spacious, beach across the road, toilets are outside.carparking good.beach across the road. Regarding opening hours 8.30pm usual closing however if busy 9pm.

Unexpectedly excellent! What began as a quick lunch stop for my colleague and I in what we thought was a cafe turned into eating some of the best Indian food i’ve ever had. I don’t say that lightly as I live close to the city and have the pick of the bunch when it comes to Indian cuisine, but this honestly tops them all. The owner explained he used to be a chef at the Hilton and makes his own spice blends. We could see he was passionate about his cooking and it showed in the food. An absolute 10/10, do yourself a favour and don’t miss this place
Wow! Between the customer service and the hospitality, Aldinga Bay Cafe are next to none! Spectacular food and the customer service is incredible. A small family run business that deliver authentic Indian food and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. My family and I have been looked after time and time again. I could not recommend this restaurant, the staff and quality of food enough. Will be life king customers ❤️❤️

Awesome dishes. Coming from the Glasgow where Indian Food is very popular, I found it difficult to find excellent Indian food in Adelaide until now !!!!!! This café has a busy, bright, friendly, relaxed feel. They serve Fullers India Pale Ale, which is made to drink with spicy food (guys you got to try it). They also have Pakora, which is the top Indian take away food in Glasgow. I have got to say that this is now my regular place to go for Indian food. Well done.
Great friendly service. The prawns are spectacular and everything else was first rate. Well worth a try.

We went to the Breeze cafe initially and, after half an hour of not being so much as looked at by the staff there (while three tables who came in after us were seen) we ditched and went next door. The most adorable and friendly Indian family served us honest, delicious and decently priced food with big smiles and plenty of advice and warmth. Eat there. The flavours are wonderful and the food made me smile. Actually, deeply-satisfied, smile.
The Food WAS AMAZING! This is the best Indian food I have encountered in Adelaide or the Hills. The Bombay BC is pretty good, but even that seems to be eclipsed by the flavours these guys put into their dishes. The meal servings are a good size, the service was great and the price is pretty good. This place is very good value for money and will leave you feeling very happy. I will be back for sure. Thank you Aldinga Bay Cafe staff.

For us with Aldinga a local getaway the Aldinga Bay Cafe has always been our fav dinner and takeaway destination. It is often commented how Arbind and his wife make you feel like old friends and this is indeed so true. Again, simply the best Indian cuisine in SA. Its lovely to head in for dinner at night and see lots of locals and weekend guests enjoying a brilliant meal as Arbind makes us all at home. As always we wish them well.
Like a few others we stumbled on this place, and wow. The food was exceptional, the service excellent and as others have said, it’s the best Indian food around. Now we have found it we will definitely have this on our regular eatery list. If you’re near or in Aldinga and you love Indian food then come here as you won’t be disappointed.

Hands down one of the best chicken briyanis I’ve had in Adelaide. This cafe was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. We had the onion bhaji, sheek kebab, lamb and chicken briyani, goan fish curry and murgh tikka along with garlic naan. We had no complains as every dish was different yet unique and delicious in its own way. Highly recommended 10/10! Will be back here in no time
Nothing but the best from the amazing team here! Friendly, personalised service and such good food! Have been eating here for many years and cannot fault the food or service. This is a place that truly cares about the customers, and really looks after locals. A very friendly, respected and reputable family. Thank you for being such an important part of the community.
Hi This western cafe and Indian restaurant was by one of my friend who been there. I went there and tried the food it excellent and service by staff was very friendly. Specially the owner Arbind he was very nice, very nice location you can have sea view while you are enjoying your dinner. I would like to visit them again on when they gonna have bollywood night again.
On our way home from Kangaroo Island we stopped here for lunch and we were both so glad we did! Excellent service. Nice atmosphere right near the beach. Food was 10/10! One of the best Palak Paneer’s I’ve had. Nice Mango Lassi. Very reasonably priced too. If you like good Indian food then this is the place to go. What’s unique is that they also serve fish and chips
They really need to update their open and close times every time I ring up to place an order they tell me they're closed and it says on the web that they are open- it's Wednesday for crying out loud!! Why answer the business phone if you're closed that's ok looks like it will be Chinese again try Urban Fusion they are really good and they are always open
Had a great experience , kadhai chicken curry was the best I have ever had, PERFECT blend of spices .The owner was very friendly ,Looking forward to coming back again.

I always write from my heart and I am a big food lover, for this place I would say it has a beautiful location right at the sea side♂️ very good food presentation 7/10, good quality and taste 7/10, good service 7/10, ambience 7/10. So overall good experience, best to enjoy after a good running or walk and yoga at the Aldinga beach. …
Great customer service. Very broad range of dishes to choose from. Dishes all taste as if made from scratch, vast array of flavours is not lost in the dish but highlighted. Never had a wait longer than 30 mins even when busy. Would rate in the top 3 Indian joints I've the memory of tasting. By far the superior Indian in the Fluerieu.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Despite the hot chips being labeled $6. You get charged an extra 40 cents if you ask for chicken salt. Seriously who charges for salt on hot chips?! This wasn't the case in the past. Couldn't even see any salt on them when I got them. If you are that desperate for money it's pathetic. Won't be back.
Very unexpected find as we thought we were walking into a normal cafe. But one of the best indian food I've had in Adelaide. Mango lassi is a must try and get the fish and chips takeaway for the beach.

The cafe catered and delivered our meals locally at Aldinga for our casual, intimate wedding. Beautifully cooked, delivered on time. All communication prior to the date was proactive from the owners; this quality service and excellent cooking really helped our day to be fantastic. Thank you very much! Highly recommend.
Arbind and his family serve up some of the best Indian cuisine south of Adelaide. A group of us Royal Enfield motorcycle riders made a reservation and we enjoyed fast and friendly service. The flavours were magnificent and presentation was authenticity Indian. Do yourself a flavour. Get down south for some real curry.
Tasty food provided by friendly staff and owners. Very light naans were a welcome change from naans from many restaurants that can be quite solid and hard to digest. The Barramundi was delightful. Reasonable wine selection with most being from the local region. BYO allowed. Large non alcoholic drink range also.
Awesome Beef Vindaloo, Naan Bread and accondiments that makes any Indian feast to die for. We had the friendliest service from the owner & his staff can’t wait to go back for more. Can’t believe we waited so long to try this place when we moved here a couple of months ago. Keep up the great work guys......
I definitely recommend Aldinga Bay Cafe. Very friendly and obliging staff, serving an excellent meal for various degrees of heat desired. And such great value too. It's a pleasure to have this family run cafe, right on the lovely Aldinga Beach esplanade. Take away options excellent also. Give them a try :)
The Indian food here is fantastic at a good price. We ate there or had takeaway 5 times in 3 days, I think I could live there. The kids could have the usual burgers, chips, hotdogs, pies etc if they want too which were also yummy according to them. The espresso shots/short blacks were really good too.
After a visit some time ago when I walked out after the lack of service I was very happy with my return visit. The food comes out quick and it was very tasty. Why not 5x stars, I guess I don't quiet see the value of the what one pays relative to the portion, but this is not particular to these guys.

Amazing food! I highly recommend this resteraunt. I have food restrictions due to medical conditions. I am a vegetarian. I am dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free and almond intolerant. These guys are 1 of 3 restaurants that I can eat at. Their Dahl Makhani is amazing! Lots of vegetarian options.
The BEST Indian food hands down!! If you have fussy eaters there is also fish, chips etc. Amazing service and the staff are always friendly. The owners are such kind people and make sure you’re enjoying your night. Do yourself a favour and take your family and friends, everyone will love it.
Went for a Suday drive as it was a beautiful day, we decided to stop in and have something to eat and drink, the part I appreciated was they didn't push you out they let you relaxed after your meal. The owners are so very friendly.....

A very pleasant surprise! Most places that mix cuisines usually aren't very good, especially in remote areas, but this was fantastic. The Indian food exceeded my expectations, my friends really liked their fish and chips, and the view was lovely, too. Amazing value, too. I'll be back!
The food is mouth wateringand hygienic, the ambience is also really pretty and nice✨. Must try is butter chicken and the Samosas .I’m so glad I stopped here and ate the delicious food the serve. I highly recommend going to this restaurant …
Honestly, I think their korma and cheesy garlic naan is top notch. They have really generous sized meals, a main meal serve and a serve of rice with a naan, feeds myself and my 5 yr old. Perfectly cooked every time we get food from this place. Highly recommend …
I always enjoy the food and service here. It's my favourite place for Indian in Adelaide's south. Recently we picked up an order of Lamb Madras and Butter Chicken to cater to a large group of people. The food was cooked to perfection and on time. Much appreciated!
So I got invited to dinner here by a friend who is a regular at this cafe. We had such a great evening together - accompanied by awesome food and service. Enjoyed the wine from local winemaker. All in all a great meal in a great cafe in a great location.
Thank you Byatt family for bringing your delicious food to little ol’ Aldinga Beach and we wish you continued success. Great for eating in as well as takeaways, the best pakoras we have ever had, reasonably priced, quick service.... what’s not to like!!!

We decided to try their take away fish and chips as everywhere else in Aldinga was really ordinary. We ordered butter fish and chips to take away to have on the beach it was absolutely delicious can’t wait to come back and try the Indian Cuisine
Aldinga Bay cafe is more of an Indian restaurant. Authentic Indian cuisine and very friendly staff. A good selection of quality local wines and some excellent beers. This restaurant is very popular with locals, so you'll need to book. …
Generally not a great fan of Indian food but this place has converted me. Great food, the service is excellent and a quite reasonable selection of wines if you don't want to BYO. I've been here a few times now and look forward to going back.
I love this place. The samosas and the lassis here are so authentic. I have lived in India for 6 months and these samosas taste exactly like the ones you can get in Kerala. The staff is always friendly and the food fresh. Highly recommended!
