This school cares for nothing but themselves. They don't care or respect any of the students or parents/caregivers that attend this school. You have an issue that arises with your child, they make all these promises to you what they will do and none of the actions take place. You keep reporting instantances that occur and ask why things are not happening like they said they will do and they belittle you!!! Call you the bad parent for your child being bullied or learning difficulties. Tell you to just keep your child home if your child doesn't feel safe. They even accuse parents of harassment and intimidation if they are trying to advocate for their child and have their child to at least feel safe there. They have even banned some parents from being allowed on the school grounds for trying to advocate for their child. They don't listen and don't care. There's always excuses as to why you can not have a meeting with a teacher especially the principal!! They are in a meeting,on the phone, not at school(that's a big one for the principals excuse) they will get back to you, and the principal never does. Parents can be polite ans respectful when advocating for their child and they will be abused, and then threatened!! God, they even try and turn it around onto the parent that they are the ones doing the abusing and threatening. You mention anything that happens to them at this school as an example and they say these are just rumours, even if your own child witnessed the event occurring. I would not send my kids to this school if I was you. It is not but hassle and child abuse from the school as your child is not safe there as they do not care about the children who go there and have trouble. Whether the trouble is learning, behavioural, bullying etc they do not care. They make empty promises, ask many parents in aldinga beach and surrounding suburbs and you will be told the same thing. Sadly some parents have no other option and can't take there children into a different school. This school needs to be looked at, the principal needs to be looked at, everyone else does her job for her and she doesn't care or do her duty. There is a handful of teachers there that do care I won't deny that but sadly with the way the school runs and who runs the school these caring teachers can't have the great impact on the children that the children deserve and should receive. I am writing this review on behalf of many families I personally know that have had all these issues with the school listed and more, over 20 families in a small circle of the community. But hey the school and principal will just say it's all rumours anyway. Really it's your decision if you send them there or not but this school is going down hill and fast, and unless the schools system and principal get looked into and something changes it will only go down hill even further.
I attended here and am extremely disappointed. Teachers pay little attention to special needs and tend to ignore me. Being a troubled student, I need 1 on 1 help, and I get very overwhelmed. There's times I've been so stressed I've been left to cry at my desk on my own. Bulling is off the charts and I can't exist in the school without being mocked, I have sensory issues with the uniform fabric and so dose many other kids meaning I've been given the okay to not wear said uniform. In result I've been mocked by the same kid every day as he passes me. A certain kid enjoys to pick on and bully almost everyone that is not in his group, and nothing has ever been done. He was in my primary, and still nothing was done their either. My cousin tried to keep them out of somewhere they were meant to be, and in response, he stole her lunch and threw it around the school. Food is way overly expensive and difficult to order or buy.
If zero stars was an option, that is what I would pick. Staff are useless and abusive to students and their parents. They care more about the uniform infractions than the physical violence. They belittle children. Call parents Pathetic when they are called out on their behaviour. We are told "well that is your perception" The principal is almost non existent, she has no time for meetings or phone calls but can stand outside waiting to see a staff members brand new car. Do not send your kids there. Everyone I've had dealings with are awful. Michael Austin, Alison Colbeck, Kim Martin and Amanda Baldock you have a lot to answer for. An extensive complaint has been made to the education department. If they actually helped where needed and weren't so condescending they would not need to issue a community expections email
Disappointed… was excited for my siblings to start at a fresh school no problems with the school grounds besides there always locked on breaks witch I find ridiculous but anyway my main point is the schools attempt to stop bullying, harassment, and racism. being its an aboriginal based school I find that pretty messed up teachers do not do anything to this day siblings are still getting bullied not saying that they are being racist to them just know about people have left that school Because of racism and they didn’t do anything about it would not recommended sending your kids there. At the end of the day save your time and money and Go to willunga high or send them to mount compass have hurd nothing but good things from there
My son is autistic and has had amazing support in the IPP in preschool. Lovely staff and absolutely beautiful school grounds. Looking forward to him starting reception next year. Only thing I could suggest is having a special class for those who do not meet the disability needs of the disability unit. Leaves those who require extra assistance to attend mainstream.
Today I went here to play knockout soccer to vs this team and IQRA college. this school is absolutely outrageous and I would 100% recommend this school if you are near aldinga and have no school to go to. They seem to be really good at sports with them winning 4-1 but I think it was a pretty fair game. wish the best to all you students.
Definitely disappointed. Initially was really excited about the school opening and had high hopes. In incidents that have involved bullying or harrassment etc I've found the school to be slow to act and excuses are made. Inconsistent approach and lack of communication between teachers. Disappointed parent.
Fantastic inclusive and supportive school! Students feel like they belong and have some input into their learning experience as they are consulted along the way as this new school develops in these first few years. The facities are amazing with the most modern technologies you could ask for!
Brand new school and has excellent facilities. Childcare centre and a Kindergarten are a great resource especially when you have older children attending the main school
Pretty cool. Really cool interior and ovals. The fitness area is even cooler! Great school and amazing teachers. Love learning there.
can't get a meeting with the principal if your life depended on it. daily violence, school admin too soft to do anything about it.
Due to open 2022 with extensive modern facilities, ample parking and a floodlit oval at the back.
The school hasn't opened yet, but its huge!
