I was very pleased with Alex & Alex (family business). It was actually junior Alex who took my call and ultimately made the repairs. On the phone I explained my problem (flickering lights in two different rooms) and Alex explained what the service call would cost and what they would do for that price. When I asked when they could come out, he shocked me by saying in about an hour, after his current job. Shocked at how soon he could come, I booked him. Sure enough, he arrived in about an hour, diagnosed the problem (bad switches), replaced both of them, and: took a look at another non-working light and made a suggestion for repair or replacement, recommended I replace my existing under cabinet halogen puck lights with LED lights to save electricity, and gave me the link to the bulbs I could install myself. He also pointed out my current (40 year old panel) needed replacement (something I knew from two of my neighbors), and gave me an estimate for the job. The actual repair for the two switches was only an additional $25, and I was satisfied with the total price. I compared his price for replacing my electrical panel and it was competitive with what my neighbors paid, so I'll probably use Alex & Alex.for that job too.

Amazing work and service! My wife and I had a huge project- we needed: -the whole house rewired (cloth wires from 1960 was disintegrating...) -2x sub panels replaced (the sub panels we had were recalled in the 80s for failing to trip...) -main panel replaced (1950s fuses were arcing) Alex came out and gave the most complete, thorough, and honest assessment of what we needed, why, and how much it would cost. I really appreciated his explanations and came to understand why we needed so much work done and why it would cost what it did (truly it was a huge project). I'm a skeptical and untrusting person generally but felt great about Alex and was right to do so! We went ahead with him and his team, and couldn't have been happier with the result. There were 10x electricians in our house which is of course nerve wracking, but his whole team was so respectful and careful and trustworthy it was really remarkable and we felt at ease. He handled things all the way through the city's inspection and was always responsive, communicative and helpful. I will absolutely be contacting him and his team for any additional electrical work needed and recommend others do so too!

Talented, Trustworthy, Respectful. Alex and his crew are true professionals and masters of their craft. I have worked with Alex & Alex multiple times on both small and large complicated projects over the past few months. Smaller projects included changing outlets, switches, and replacing chandeliers. Larger projects included rewiring a kitchen, removing outlets from backsplash, and installing outlet strips and track lighting under kitchen cabinets. They are detail-oriented and clearly communicate what work is being completed, and are the most responsive team in the trades I have ever worked with. When needed, they have even shifted their busy schedule to accommodate time-sensitive requests. They deliver quality work. Every time. What I am most impressed with is Alex's genuine curiosity to tackle problems and find innovative solutions. His enthusiasm is contagious. It is equally as refreshing as it is inspiring experiencing someone that takes such pride in their work.

I highly recommend Alex and Alex Electrical Services. I had to have major work done on our house including installing a new electrical panel and three 220/240 electric lines underneath the house to allow for the installation of an EV charger and new electric appliances that would replace our failing gas oven and cooktop. Alex’s crew was phenomenal! Everything was completed with a great deal of care and expertise. In fact, Alex, on our LA city inspection day, noticed that the HVAC installers (who came after the panel was installed), removed two of the new breakers and improperly connected their own breakers into the panel, thereby creating a potential fire hazard. Alex quickly and efficiently corrected the HVAC company’s mistake. Also, Alex’s initial quote was very fair and accurate, honestly reflecting the electrical work that needed to be completed. I feel very fortunate to have had the Alex team work on my house. I have nothing but high praises for them!

Alex & Alex did a fantastic job installing an EV charger for me. We live in a townhouse set-up with a shared garage so it wasn't as straightforward as an install in a single family house. Nevertheless, Alex was extremely patient in walking me through the steps: where they need to cut, where they need to drill, and where the electrical lines would run. He made sure I understood the process 100% but most importantly he was accountable to everything he had said and promised. The job turned out to be more difficult than originally planned, but he stuck to the original estimate and didn't charge me any additional. He's an electrician I truly can trust. Needless to say, the job was done perfectly. Alex, his step-dad, and apprentice was efficient in their work and finished everything in just a few hours. Couldn't be happier with this decision!

After about a year of living in ADU in MDR area, I noticed that my electricity bill has tripled. This has coincided with my landlord getting an EV, so I was fairly certain of the cause. My landlord was very difficult to deal with, so I needed an electrician to investigate and provide an assessment that I could use in court. Out of the 4 places where I inquired Alex and Alex offered me the best rate for the assessment, and scheduled an electrician to come out at the time that was convenient for me. On the day of the appointment 2! electricians came, 15 minutes early. They were extremely professional and completed the assessment without further aggregating my already strained relationship with the landlord. The written assessment was ready 2 days later, very detailed, with photos. Exactly what I needed. 5 stars!

Alex & Alex Electrical Services did a fantastic job replacing our house's outdated electrical panel with a 200 amp one. They also rewired the entire house, including installing new light switches and grounded outlets. They were very flexible to additional requests we made, such as installing additional outdoor lighting, and gave creative solutions to address our needs while saving time and expenses. Alex was responsive by phone or text, and always took the time to answer my questions. If there was a problem, he would quickly think of a solution, or make a note for his crew to address the issue at their next visit. We appreciate all the hard work and time they spent upgrading our house's electrical system.

My HoA provides me 3 approved electricians and I found a few more on the web. Alex and Alex offer the best value in term of pricing and customer service. Alex took the time to answer many of my questions on the phone and then in person. A few days later he and his crew show up on time and did a good job to make a new outlet, upgrade a breaker in my unit, and install new breaker and wiring through my unit to my parking underneath to install a ChargePoint EV charger on the wall. The job was well done professionally, and Alex take care of all the permit and inspection from the City. No need to shop around for EV charger installation, call Alex, and he will solve all the electrical problems for you.

The team worked efficiently and kept us updated throughout the day. Alex was so helpful in getting the necessary inspections scheduled by ladwp, and in providing recommendations for chargers. I spoke to Alex (son) on the phone and he was upfront with me about having to source out my unknown problem. He quoted me a service price and said it could be higher once the problem was found. We should have waited for Alex! Another company came by, fiddled with this and that for about an hour and “assessed “ the intermittent connection issue, applied some electrical tape, and overcharged us for the privilege. Alex came by, asked direct questions, listened intently, checked the panel, focused on the exterior connector, assessed the issue within minutes, advised us to call DWP and didn’t charge us for his valuable time and expertise. Alex and Alex are a great team and did an incredible job installing recessed lighting in our home. They gave us great advice on what lights we should use, how many we would need to light the space, and what distance would be optimal for coverage. On the days of the installation, they worked carefully and efficiently and made minimal holes for an easier patch up. I cannot recommend these guys enough! They are great!
