Their customer service is extremely poor. I received a new auto and home insurance policy with State Farm and the person helping me on the phone put down the wrong last name. I pointed out that this was incorrect three days before the policy was to go into effect and he admitted that it was his mistake that the name was wrong, and he would get it corrected. About a week went by with nothing happening and now I was getting double billed for my home insurance as well. I called and asked to speak to Alison, and they would not put me through to her. Instead, Gary called me, and he did manage to get the double billing fixed but it has been three weeks now and my insurance still has the wrong name on it. I have called and emailed multiple times asking to speak to Alison since her name is on my forms, but she never calls me or replies to my emails. I would hate to see how her service is if I had to file a claim. Maybe if she reads this she will respond to my emails or phone requests to speak to her so I can get a simple thing like my name correct on the insurance. I would not recommend using Alison. There isn’t a person in the office that I have dealt with that has any attention to detail. Anytime they try to send me something it is incorrect, and they send me multiple messages and documents to get me the correct items. My main reason for writing this review is just to try to speak to my insurance agent Alison Fourtner as I have been trying to speak to her for three weeks now with no response.

Updated 11-3-2023. I’ve now had Insurance with Alison’s agency for more than a decade. They’ve been with us through policy changes for multiple cars, changing drivers, adding policies, yes even claims. They handle every need of ours with professionalism and courtesy EVERY SINGLE TIME. We recently had questions about our life insurance policies. Alison and Gary have both followed up with me to make sure our questions have been answered and to review other options that may fit our current lifestyle better. I value working with local companies that look out for their customers while protecting business interests. It reassures me that they’ll be around for years to come. ** Thank you Gary for all your hard work!!! We bought a new car in November. When we went to add it to our policy, Gary mentioned that State Farm does loans and GAP coverage is included. We had just paid almost $1000 for this through the original lender. To make a long story short, we got it all squared away and State Farm redid our loan at a lower interest rate which will save us ONE FULL YEAR of payments compared to our original loan. I'm so excited! That means I'll be able to get a new car even sooner than had planned, lol. Without the relationship we've established with Alison / Gary & State Farm, this never would have happened. I need one of those commercials where I can say, "Hey! I just saved $7000!"

Couldn't recommend any less. I moved to the USA in Jan 2018, took a policy out with this office for $260 per month given I have no driving history in the US, which is expensive enough as is. Fast forward a year and after 0 accidents, 0 tickets, 0 claims my premium goes up to $320 per month. So, in essence, I was penalized for having a perfect driving record with no claims, no tickets and no accidents. Upon calling the office to try and discuss, I hear nothing for over 4-5 days, to my frustration, and after multiple calls with Head office, they eventually call me. I tried to get an understanding as to why my policy went up to what only can be described as a criminal amount of money, and the person on the other side of the phone couldn't even remotely direct me as to why this has happened. I don't know why my premium went up so substantially, I don't know how it went up substantially, but I can comfortably say that Statefarm, and in particular this office, is not worth your time. I called up 3 large competitors of Statefarm and I'm now paying $110 less per month, yes, that's $110, probably the entire cost of most people's insurance alone. Seriously, their competitors are much better and don't price gouge/slam you with huge bill increases with little notice and no explanation.

My daughter and I have been a client of Alison's State Farm agency for 5 years. During this time, Gary Fourtner has been the epitome of what you want your insurance agent/advisor to be. Gary has a great combination of product/policy knowledge and "real-life" knowledge along with providing Outstanding customer service! I like to dig into the weeds sometimes on policy numbers and Gary was always both prepared to discuss everything in detail while maintaining a great sense of patience in explaining everything that I wanted to discuss. If you are a parent whose "young professional" daughter or son is moving into the Dallas Metroplex area, then Gary is the first person you should be calling to get all their insurance matters in order. If you are an established professional or retiree in the Dallas area, I would also highly recommend Gary for your personal insurance needs as he brings a high level of product knowledge and integrity to the table--which is so important in today's highly sophisticated, fast paced, high cost of living marketplace that we all live in. Gary , and the Alison Fourtner Agency are second to none!

I had my policies with Alison Fourtner's State Farm agency for a number of years as a homeowner in Downtown Dallas. They were always responsive, helpful, and really great to deal with. When I purchased an investment property outside of the Downtown area, I got lured away by an incredibly low rate quote by another agency. A couple years later, that rate with the new agency had gone through the roof. While shopping around for a better rate on my Auto insurance after the other agency's rate hike, I checked in with the people here. Sara was able to quote a significantly more reasonable rate (almost half the rate for the same coverages on the auto policy) and we had everything hammered out in a matter of 20 minutes, including better coverage on my renter's insurance policy. I had forgotten just how easy they were to work with. All in all, I regret making the jump from Alison's agency in the first place...but, I'm glad to be working with them again.

I originally found Alison via Google by searching “State Farm agent Dallas” when I moved to Dallas-Fort Worth. They asked we meet in person and everyone was so friendly in our first and only in-person appointment. As everyone would wish, we didn’t need to see or talk to the insurance company for over 5 years. January 1 we found a leaking pipe that had caused extensive damage throughout our house. At first, we had problems with our claim (note: State Farm took care of the issue and it was no fault of Alison or her team). I reached out to Alison’s team and they went above and beyond throughout the process. Her husband, Gary, was attentive, respectful, and calmed my anxiety. He explained the process and became a sounding board for us even when times were difficult. Without Alison Fourtner’s office, we wouldn’t be moving in to our home again on Monday. Thank you so much. You treat each client like they are family.

It was my great mistake to switch my Auto policy to State Farm. If there were any negative five star (-5 *) That's what I would gave. Their customer service is very poor and inactive. They issued my Auto insurance documents and ID with wrong address for two cars. But surprisingly they send me the bill in correct address. I contacted them several times through email, text message and over telephone to correct my insurance documents, but after one and half months I have not received yet the updated insurance documents. Today's conversation, they said, "They are currently behind". As a customer, I will not accept this kind of conversation from a customer service provider company. We have been with Alison Fourtner State Farm since they opened in downtown. They have worked with us on multiple occasions to make sure we have the right amount of coverage at the best prices (discount double check). One time I called them for help with a non-insurance situation. We needed our carpets professionally cleaned and I didn't know who would be best. My call was taken by Keith who was more than happy to help. He recommended about 4 companies to do the cleaning and HE called them for me. One company came out and gave me a great estimate with a nice discount on it due to their relationship with Alison Fourtner. I feel if I called them directly I probably would not have gotten the discount.

My wife and I have been insured by State Farm for both auto and home for over 33 years. Since returning to Texas in 2010, Alison Fourtner has been our agent. Anytime I have a question I usually speak with Gary Fourtner. If he doesn’t immediately take my call, he will typically call back within an hour. We’ve had one homeowner, and three auto claims in the past few years, and each time we have received excellent support from the Fourtner agency. I highly praise the professionalism and the friendliness of the entire staff that I’ve had the occasion to speak with.

I actually purchased Life Insurance through Alison and visiting with her and the team was a great experience. I thought I wanted term only - however, after looking closely at the Cash I would have for my entire lifetime and the way I can use that to help me protect my family and also in an emergency - I loved it !!!!! We've been with Alison's State Farm agency since moving downtown nearly five years ago. Everyone in her office has been super helpful and responsive when we've called upon them. Today was another example, as we had an issue with an accident report being accidentally filed in our name (the driver shared the same name as my wife) by a small town police department. Alison was quick to guide us in the steps needed to get the matter cleaned up and we had it resolved within an hour. It's nice to be able to count on a real, live person.

Today, I was helped by a very sweet lady named Shuan. She is the paragon of customer service. Shuan helped me set up a few new policies and made the process seamless. I’ve been with Statefarm for a long time and they’ve taken fantastic care of me! I’ve experienced a number of stressful events in my life where Statefarm has come to the rescue and relieved so much of that stress. I cannot recommend this agency enough, and this office has and always will be be my #1 choice for insurance.

This company is amazing! I called to set up renters insurance over the phone and my agent was Brantley Smith. She made it sooo easy for me and was amazingg! I received my statement through email within 1 minute hanging up the phone with her. Brantley even went out of her way after closing hours when I needed her to change the date on it so I could send it in to my apartment by a certain time! Best, friendliest, easiest agent to work with I’ve ever come in contact with!
