The most PATHETIC service I’ve ever came across! I had purchased OSHC policy with this horrible OSHC service provider - and I don’t think I have any thing else in my life to regret apart from purchasing a service with Allianz. My OSHC policy was obviously linked to my student visa and my student visa expired (on 15 March 2022) 2 weeks before the OSHC policy was scheduled to expire (My OSHC policy was scheduled to expire on 02 April 2022). I notified the customer service team of Allianz about it. One of the customer service team member told me that I’m eligible for a refund and that they would process the refund and send across the transfer certificate via my email address within 10-14 business days. The team member requested me to fill up the refund form in order for the refund and transfer certificate to process. I did exactly what I was told and mailed the refund form to Allianz - and clearly THEY NEVER RESPONDED BACK TO MY EMAIL. I called them after a month to ask about the update, and another customer service team member named ‘JED’ picked up the call and started YELLING and SHOUTING at me. After 30 minutes of this guy yelling and shouting, he finally agreed to send me the clearance certificate. He eventually provided me with the clearance certificate on 07 April 2022 - even though my OSHC policy - as scheduled - expired on 02 April 2022. Meaning, they NEVER processed the refund. Upon mentioning about complaining to Consumer Affairs Victoria, Allianz for the first time - responded to my email saying that I was never eligible for a refund because the amount was less than 100 dollars. Let it be 100 dollars, or 50 dollars, or even 0 dollars - there is something called communication - which clearly they don’t seem to understand. And I wonder who gave their team members the right to yell at their customers. Long story short: THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER. THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW TO TALK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS PROPERLY, THEY DONT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT TRANSPARENCY AND COMMUNICATION MEANS. Avoid this company if you want to save your time, money, and energy :)

Allianz are by far the WORST insurance company I have ever dealt with and to say I am disappointed is an understatement! My car was written off in a hail storm. I was told I'd have two weeks with my existing car to get my affairs in order before they would 'swap' my car with a replacement. After not hearing anything for 1 week, I called Allianz to be informed they had the wrong claim number. Finally when they found me (it was the right claim number) they were "still awaiting a quote" and that I'd hear back on the following business day, which didn't happen. After hearing nothing from Allianz, I was surprised to then receive a call from the towing company. I called Allianz straight away and asked if they could postpone the tow given I had not received a replacement vehicle. At first I was told yes, the following phone-call I was told no (my car was gone by this point). I was told during the third phone-call that Allianz have "strict policies" to adhere to, and cannot keep the vehicle beyond 14 days. After calling them several times, and with no resolution, one customer service rep informed me that the procurement team hadn't actioned my claim and that I'd be "better off" opting for the payout. I was hesitant, but as I was already without a car, I said fine. As it was Wednesday, I was told I'd have the money in my account by Friday. Good I thought, at least I can look for a car on the weekend! Friday came, but the riches I was promised never came. I called Allianz right away and got the EXACT same spiel I had received on Wednesday, "I will get the transaction underway right now- you will receive the funds in two business days". How naive am I, I fell for it a second time! And true to form, I still haven't received a cent. _____ My partner also had hail damage, and was paid out within two days of attending the hail-damage centre. Evidently, the "strict" policies are a complete load of rubbish, as it's been 3 weeks and we are still waiting for it to be towed. Absolutely pathetic. I will never recommend Allianz.

Zero. Beware. This company inconvenienced my life. Stay away from Allianz Car Insurance as much as possible. My existing policy number is 154G348xxxCMP and have held same since 2018. I have 2 policies with them but I’m switching after this claim. My car is currently in for repair and they claim I am no longer eligible for rental car because I had been offered a rental car for 32 days prior to the repair. Apparently, according to the their consultants, it was my fault to have accepted the rental car prior to the repair and their policy only offer 32 days which is not ‘what they sell on their advert’. Online it’s says your will get a rental car until your car is fully repaired. It’s hard to explain but please just stay away from big insurance companies like Allianz as you are just a number and there’s not much you can do even when you get stucked with them, Allianz ‘won’t listen deeply to your complaints’. The staff are not accountable and they only play to a scripts given to them which makes it hard for them to ‘Listen & Understand and Reason your point’. I believe Allianz has a culture of ‘WE CAN DO NO WRONG’. ‘This is my first negative review of a company ever and I think I need to do this for future ‘potential allianz car insurance policy holders’ Beware Beware Beware.

Do not get insurance from this company! Trying to get through on the phones to talk to someone had me waiting on the phone, on hold on multiple occasions for 4-7hrs, that is no exaggeration. Sometimes you expect to be on hold, but when the automatic voice says ‘we have a higher than average call rate, the wait time is between 5.30hrs and 7:45hrs’ it is pretty shocking, this was almost daily, over the space of 4 weeks so not sure where they are getting their average from..... They do have an option for them to call you back when it is your turn but this was only available when the wait was around the 2hr mark! Terrible service and the fact that I couldn’t get through to anyone without waiting up to 7 hours cost me and extra $325 in car storage fees. Edit 3/5/21- now have dealt with the company twice with the exact same outcome. Not sure how they are still receiving ‘higher than average call rates’ for over a year… shouldn’t the average increase over time?! Stop terrible service when you do get hold of them and still everyone blaming each other and being told different things by everyone! I would happily go out of my way to discourage people from getting insurance here!

Ah Allianz. Are you reading these reviews? We have just cancelled two policies that we held with you for 15 years. The insurance on our Toyota RAV4 2020 model was around $1,500 in 2022. Our renewal form came with new premium of around $2,500, around a $1,000 increase from last year! We've changed nothing, had no claims, no traffic infringements or accidents. Their explanation.... "There are many factors. A standard 10% raise, higher number of claims in our area, cost of parts. We reinsured with another company with more cover for around $1,400, around $1,100 per year cheaper. I wonder why other companies are not affected like poor Allianz. Shareholders and lofty profit projections maybe? We then looked at our house insurance and got an extra $400,000 cover on building and extra $60,000 cover on contents plus all extras, also for considerably lower premiums. All Alliance could offer to save us a bit of money was maybe cancelling our current policy and getting a new policy because they have better deals now. Really? So 15 years of loyalty is worth?..... Nothing!

So far, 1 star because they told me the car would be assessed at the mechanic. The mechanic said I couldn't leave my car for 4 days, so I collected it and returned it at 8am on the assessment day. Two Ubers charged, then the assessor never turned up. Called to change my assessment to my house and just got a text "confirming" the assesment at the mechanic's again! Tried to call to ensure it would a) happen and b) will actually happen at my house, and their office is closed and I can't get through to anyone. This should be a fun "part 2" misunderstanding. Follow up: today I spoke to someone who seemed to know what they're doing. Taking the car to an approved repairer, to avoid the fuss of coordinating independent assessor's and repairers. Upgraded to 3 stars. Final follow up: 1.5.2023 Due to water damage, my vehicle has been assessed as a write-off. Despite some communication issues, the outcome and service has been really good. The assessor took alot of time to explain everything to me and the customer service today was great. Thank you.

I wish I could give them 0 stars!! 2 months on and I still have a hole in my wall as a result of their rep taking a grinder to it. I have had 4 people come out to “assess” my claim and each talks more rubbish than the next! To the point that when the last guy couldn’t prove his hypothesis he became rude and aggressive towards me, telling me I was being rude for questioning him. He then became insulting and stormed out of my house because I dared to question what he was saying! He even tried to go off at me once he stormed out so I had to shut the door in his face! I can not believe the lies the people sent out by this company tell in order to get out of paying a claim that you are more that covered for! This company takes your money and gives you not a thing in return. You would get more bang for your buck by throwing your cash in a bin. Do not get insurance from this company if your ever want to actually be able to claim when something goes wrong! Not to mention don’t want their reps doing more damage they never fix!

I submitted my claim with all the proofs clearly showing that the other driver was at fault. However, Allianz still charged me for the excess citing they haven't received any response from the other driver. Why am I being penalised if the other person hasn't responded? Additionally, they want me to collect other proofs, go to the the police station and do all the running around. What are they to do? Its times like these when you want the insurer to be customer friendly and not look at ways to not release the money. They should have clearly charged the other person for this amount and settled/refunded once the dispute was settled and not the other way round. I spoke to their agent and the response was we cannot do anything. No response to my email either. I have my home insurance also with them. With this dodgy (dishonest) experience, I am looking at alternatives. They can keep the $1200 but lose a customer for lifetime. Will make sure I share this experience with others too.

poorest of the poor performance from this company. Ive never been treated so bad by an insurance like in a very long time. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone using this dodgy service. At one stage they put me on hold for 1h30min and hardly given me much progress about the repair of my vehicle for 2 months! imagine that!. Was even hanged up over the phone at one stage after handballing me to 6-7 different people, I mean, i appreciate what they do in the office by putting me on someone that knows what they're looking at but hanging up on the phone after 1 hour of converstion that led to nowhere?. come on guys! this is 2021 for goodness sake!! GET YOUR HEADS WRAP AROUND THE JOB AND ISSUES PLEASE! FOCUS! You have given me a claim number to start with but go all silence after that, at least return a call and let me know the progress of the repair of my vehicle. Be more transparent and stop the politics BS. Do you ever wonder why you have such low ratings here?

I wish I could give them 0 stars as well!! As You can wait for more than 40 mins on the phone and unable to talk to anyone. Even you talk to someone, no one can answer the question and sort the case out. This case has been dragging along for so long that is completely unreasonable. If you don't think my case has issue, should make decisions in the first few weeks, so I can arrange tradie to fix it from my end. As I always inform your claim depart that there are squatters nearby and I am under lots of stress to cope with the home loan and other expenses relate to this property, I need to rent it out ASAP. However, after almost 6 months, your company still unable to make final decision. That has caused the stress to affect my health (maybe cancer) and rent lose. Even I lodged a complaint online, still no result of my case. I wish I have insurance with any other companies. Totally disappointed and waste of $. No service at all.

I wanna rate 0 but I can’t. I’ve disappointed with Allianz for several times. First time I bought a car insurance and after one year they automatically renewed it since I didn’t get any notice. It’s fine. But even I called for refund and they promised to return one month of insurance fee. They didn’t. Second time, after I graduate I got email that I can get coupon if I continue to choose allianz. Ok. Why not. ( even I haven’t get any coupon from them) I have enough money on my account but the direct debit just can’t get through it and they send me two arrears letters. What....... I send them several email and call them twice to solve this problem and changed to another card in order to ensure that the direct debit can work. The customer service told me that tomorrow night it will be fine. 140 for two month will be taken from that account. But nothing happened. So disappointment and on my way to another insurance company now.

The worst insurance company I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company altogether. I was under Allianz care (health insurance). I used to be a student at La Trobe, and was using their services. However, at the time we did not have to process claims ourself. The hospital did it for students and they took care of everything automatically. Only when I graduated did I realize what a hassle this company was after starting to deal with them myself. I never got my refund of the remaining student insurance after moving to a visitor health cover. They said refunds can only apply if there's one whole month left. And now I'm waiting for about a month to get my claim back. Nobody answers the phones anymore saying they're at full capacity. I'm honestly surprised at how bad an insurance company can be, considering how important this service is for people. Extremely disappointed.

OMG! I can now see why there are so many negative reviews about Allianz? I called regarding about a car accident in which the 3rd party (Allianz customer) was at fault, was on hold for over an hour before a customer service consultant answered. I provided the claim Number only to be told that he does not handle claim numbers beginning with the letter G? And transferred me to another department where I have waited and waited and waited finally a response from an overseas call centre, couldn't understand a word he said, put me through another consultant who told me , I should contact my insurance company they will help me further?? Talk about hand balling to another party and I AM NOT AT FAULT HERE??? THANK GOD I AM NOT INSURED WITH THIS MOB! I will echo what many other people have said...CHOOSE ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY! GIVING ALLIANZ A 1 STAR IS BEING VERY GENEROUS....

What's the point in investing in a dashcam when i'm treated as a villain anyway? I've provided dashcam footage proving i'm not at fault, have provided a police report with third party details, yet i'm still liable for higher premium rates, had to pay excess and now allianz team members just put me on hold for hours at a time, instead of helping me with my excess payment refund. i might as well not follow the road rules and hit everyone, it'll only cost me an excess payment. **EDIT** Florence from Allianz helped me with my claim. she actually understood the contracts i signed unlike 99% of the team and she was able to escalate a refund. All team member's need to have this level of understanding on company policy and insurance contracts, and general empathy. star adjustment to 3 would've been 5 but your team is mostly useless

They don't deserve even single star. Whenever I call them always says we are unable to pick your call because of high call volume. I tried to call them when they open in the morning and stayed on call 2 hours but no response. I made claims and no response from last 2 months for that also and I have insurance for my family as well they terminated the account and still deducting the money from my account if they terminated my account so there is no point to deduct the money. Very bad service I have seen. Once they picked up my call for 2 minutes and they said we will call you back within 4 business days but its been around one month again and did not get any response. Don't go with this company. Its just wastage of money. They terminated my account without giving any warning or email. They are just making money nothing else

STAY AWAY! Pay a bit extra and go with a better insurance company with good customer service. This insurer is not worth the stress. I have always been with a different insurer and chose to change with the recent price hikes....what a huge mistake!!!!! I am left chasing up a 'not at fault' claim for a small collision. I have been waiting for months and can't get a response for when it will be resolved and my car is finally repaired. The customer service is appalling! The minimum wait time for a phone call to them was 60 minutes. The longest wait was over 2 hours. It was so painful. It was enough to make give up. Then they contact you, it's only a template email message that tells you nothing. Don't make the same mistake that i did, go somewhere else.

Stay away! Don't sign any of their services! I came to Australia a few weeks ago and was expecting to get a proper service from insurance company. I received information from the staff with lacking points which resulted in overpaying in certain medical facilities. After asking for evaluation of the situation and potential compensation on the incorrect information that I have received from their staff, they transferred me from staff to staff without giving me any answers. Moreover a lot of their staff don't understand medical term which affect their response to the customers . At times I had a hard time understanding them and they had hard time understanding my needs while using simple English language.

Even tho their 1 star reviews were making me second guess about buying travel insurance... I went ahead anyway and purchased insurance luckily as I ended up stuck in Thailand due to flooding & even tho they did not respond to my urgent emails & no one answered the phone for the number provided. Eventually I was able to reach someone in Bangkok also i had a friend in Melbourne call the office for me which helped a lot, so I suggest if you get stuck like I did do not try their urgent emails or numbers, get a mate in Australia to call for you or call the airport locally. Even tho it took a while they did refund my wasted airfare due to the flooding so thanks Allianz I’ll use u again. Cheers.

Apathetic and unhelpful- junk insurance and would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for car insurance. Have been waiting for approx 2 weeks since lodging claim for any kind of update, as car has been towed. If it was just me that was impacted I'd be more forgiving but stringing out a family for almost 2 weeks is not on. I've since called Allianz again and asked to make note that I'll be calling the Ombudsmen (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) and each time I mention this to the person I'm speaking to, they either hang up or 'transfer me to a specialist team' and then hang up. There may be the occasional positive experience but this many 1 star reviews can't be wrong.

Absolutely disgusting, put in a claim for my carport after a storm. First I was told as my carport is shared with neighbor it’s common property as I corrected the claims person it belongs to me it’s on my title! He then said oh I’ll have to go check with my supervisor, didn’t hear anything for a week to then get a call and say we not paying the claim it’s wear and tear, how come a storm caused the carport ceiling to cave in! Never had a claim in my life, I have my home, car and business with Allianz and I will be cancelling all 3 today. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH ALLIANZ they are nothing but THIEVES!!! There reviews speak volumes I wish I had read them before I signed up!!!

my car wasnt fixed correctly and couldnt drive it so allianz authorised repairs but said it would be easier for me to pay for them and then they would pay me back within 48 hours of me sending invoice dont do it guys ! 5 weeks later and 10 hours lost on phone , no call back then they ring to stall more asking for my bank details , oh der they are in the email i sent with invoice still no refund , im out over $800 plus not being able to drive car for months useless lot and if you respond allianz , im phoned , emailed , lodged complaint and all i get is a insurance company trying to ghost me if you ever get them telling you ya pay for it and we will pay you back , dont

I made a claim in late November and just have been contacted one month later to the decision of the claim to be denied. The reason for this was licence suspension over a year ago and haven't updated that information. I haven't received any email or letter about the renewal. I spoke to customer service and was told that not only was this incident not covered but any accident i have will not be covered either. This is absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service. Very disappointing that i rely on an insurance company to cover for things like this. They are happy to take your money but would make any excuse to not cover you. Disgusted.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but the customer service I experienced today was really poor. I completed a quote online, but as I tried to purchase the cover I was directed to call Allianz. I did this, on hold for half an hour, when they responded and asked me a bunch more questions, asked me to wait on hold again , which I did, and I was cut off! I waited to be called back but they didn’t call so I called again and waited another 15 minutes , only to be told they would ring me back later . I was ready to purchase this insurance cover! So I had to go back to my exisiting insurer as it was due today . Very disappointing .

WOW, looks like I'm another customer completely dissatisfied with their service. I cancelled my Roadside Assistance, which is no big deal in the scheme of things. I rang Customer Service (CS) because I had not received my renewal notice. I wanted a copy emailed to me. What a drama!!!! This seemed an impossible request, they wanted payment first. I couldn't understand the heavily accented Adam , I asked to speak with a supervisor & was completely ignored. He either couldn't or wouldn't help. Later I rang back & got a lady with the same spiel. She was a bit more helpful. I wasted so much time & was left frustrated & exhausted.

READ REVIEWS AND DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR! I haven't read reviews and now regretting. Had an accident at with I wasn't at fault, I submitted a claim online, and had no response over a month! After I called them myself to find out what happened, they saying that other party doesn't respond and if I need my car to be fixed I have to pay for it myself! In a week time it will be a start of THIRD MONTH!! And my beautiful car is still not fixed and I have to keep paying month after month for what? And I cannot even change insurance now because that way my car will never be fixed

It's now 4 months since I first put my travel claim in and while I had one phone call back and email two months ago, it is still pending. As a long time customer, you expect that when things like the unexpected happen having insurance is reassuring. Except it seems when you try to put in a claim and suddenly there seems to be so many delays, while Allianz scrambles for what exclusions to use declining your claim . As a frequent traveler, I am now weighing up if Travel Insurance is even necessary and waste of money, as right now ... I may have insurance, I am no better off if I didn't.

The worst OSHC in Australia! Run! They will fool you asking countless documents to reimburse you. If they do reimburse you! You basically have to manage all the paperwork yourself as you are working for them! They will ask one paper and when you get it they they ask another, or a HANDWRITTEN OR TimesNew Roman font! Nobody bill them directly here in Melbourne, so you gonna pay upfront and beg them to reimburse you. Recently they have concluded themselves that I have a pre-existing condition despite of my GP and specialist state otherwise. Allianz is a headache while you are sick, run!

Previous experience with Allianz regarding landlord insurance was great with an easy process to deal with tenant damage to property plus loss of rent however wanted to open a new policy for our two new properties (one to live in & the other to lease/sell) the attendant on the phone said they do not insure properties that are being sold or unoccupied. Since we cannot live in both properties and they have just finished building and do not have a tenant in there immediately we were unable to get insurance on the vacant home. In the end we decided to go with a competing company that did.

I give this 5star rate for two things: customer service on phone and online claiming. As a person with over 10yrs experience in IT And tech customer service, I do know what a good service is and a great web interface application looks like . Allianz knocked out both,specifically their prompt response to my claim on one of the busiest days of the year, 23/12. All pressure from my yesterday serious accident gone with two calls and 15mins online application. They arranged the rental car in a couple of hours and my family are back on the road for holiday. Happy new year to Allianz team.

Got into the system, waited, waited, waited, listened to the music, rejected the offer to get a call back as I didn't trust that to happen. Then finally! A voice. He asked my name and then immediately hung up on me. Sent me to the customer service survey which disconnected me, so I had to go through the whole telephone tree all over again. Then rang again and a perfectly lovely young woman helped me. She promised to not hang up on me and was very patient and helpful. So, its luck of the draw. If you get a good person, its its still (always) complicated but its easier.

I travel a lot. I've never had to make a claim. I went to make I small claim for a genuine incident and was denied. My travel partner who was in the same incident reciced a quick approval, and their insurance was cheaper. They sound good, but they get you in the fine print when you have a genuine incident. Stay away. Also, as a result, I will not be continuing my home and contents and car insurance with them. I've seen firsthand how others quickly approve while they don't in the exact same circumstances. BE WARNED STAY AWAY. Australian travel alliantz no good.

Allianz is just a torture! All they are interested in is the regular contributions they receive from their clients.They never send you any update and when you call them, they let you wait for ours and drive you mad with their repeated announcements. I was supposed to be the next one and yet 53 minutes have just elapsed as I write this review, but still to no avail! They are never interested in protecting their clients. They are happy as long as they recover their costs from the other parties and receive the regular contributions from the policyholders!

Not worth 0.05 cents paying for full comprehensive insurance & agreed value of a vehicle! My vehicle got stolen & was classified as a total loss by their assesors ! Even so they find 101 excuses & reasons not to pay your claim ! Like most insurances not worth having , they can find the smallest detail not to pay! Everytime I called them for a update was a different story from their so called customer service, they can't even give a accurate response on what's happening every time ! Alianz not as good as you like to advertise as ! Worthless

My car was rear ended by an allianz customer a week ago, the driver admitted fault and filed a claim. in that claim it specified that I was entitled to a hire car for the duration of the settlement. after 8 phone calls to alliance over the past 5 days, 27 allianz employees putting me through to someone else, i am happy to state that I still am yet to receive a hire car and no department seems to want to do anything about it, At best provide the claim number and before I finish reading it out to them they stop me and transfer me to another department.

They don't deserve even a single star. My vehicle was hit by a driver who's insured by Allianz. On Wednesday has to be assessed and the time frame is from 8.30am to 4.00pm. When I asked for a hire car, Allianz doesn't provide one day hire car rental. So I have to wait at the repair shop until such time the assessor rocks up plus the time he or she takes to to assess the vehicle. Why is it that the customer has to be inconvenienced all the time?? Another Insurance Co. charging outrageous amount of monies and providing substandard service.

Which I could give this place 0 stars honestly, I had an accident in March took it to a repair that Allianz approves of, as I did I had to apply for financial hardship. Now I’m may my car is all fixed and ready but I’ve now been waiting well over 2 weeks to get my car back I’ve spent more money on bloody Ubers and bus/train money I’ve now ask for compensation for Ubers. This is ridiculous I’ve now paid 3 whole months worth of insurance while having no car to drive to work. Once my one year is up and off I will go somewhere else!

I called today as I am unable to renew online due to my property specifications. The person on the phone had such a strong accent that I could not understand her. I asked again and again for her to speak again. Then I asked to be transferred to an Australian call centre and she said that she could not. I asked to speak to a different person on three occasions kept transferring my call back to herself. This is a joke. If I renew my policy I pay more than creating a new policy online. What a joke. Allianz needs to smarten up!!!

Really disappointed. I have a current claim. Have been waiting 3 weeks. Have not been properly updated. They have not contacted the other driver to admit liability so I have not had a car hire. It has cost me a fortune in taxis to work. Not acceptable. When you ring it takes over an hour and then you get constantly transferred and have to repeat yourself. As soon as this claim is settled I am changing companies. I pay my policy religiously. Ben er r late and I also insured my partners car so you are losing two customers. I

The worst travel insurance ever. We had chartered a boat the charter was canceled due to damage of the boat by previous charterer. We couldn't find any alternative accommodation so booked a flight home. We are not claiming the cost of the boat as we have moved the charter to next year. We only claimed the additional airfares to get home. We have been told it is not covered. What is the point of travel insurance if it doesn't cover costs when things go wrong. We have a number of policies with this company but not for long.

This should read 0 stars - worst insurance company in Australia. My mother - a pensioner - has paid her premiums with these charlatans for decades and they have now screwed her out of a simple water damage issue not once but TWICE by creating a second, spurious ‘assessment’ after we proved their first conclusion factually incorrect and therefore illegitimate. My mother has been waiting MONTHS for an outcome which was clearly rigged from the outset. Go anywhere else - you will not get what you need from Allianz.

Few weeks after arriving to Australia as a Student I was diagnosed with cancer. At the beginning I was falling apart. No more dreams, no more goals. I didn’t have to call Allianz, they talked directly with PeterMac Cancer Centre, that was very helpful because I was struggling like never before. A month after I got a surgery, all the treatment was covered by them, even a therapist who was supporting me during the whole process, I will be forever grateful with Allianz and PeterMac, they literally saved my life

If I could give zero points I would. Not sure where to start. Possibly the worst insurance company I had to deal with. When I had my problem with them, I think I must say it felt like I called hundreds of time, so I had to check my phone to see. Called 47 times. Of course, the person was never there and never called me back. One day I got sick of it and I emailed them cc the ombudsman. Suddenly things went fast. Took 2 cc the ombudsman for them to actually sort my claim. Stay away from these frauds

Extremely terrible service and customer support is non existent. Its more of a scam than an insurance provider. Been trying to get a refund for past 6 weeks and they respond by email after every two weeks stating it will take 20 business days for further processing. Just stay away from them and go for a better business. All their contact channels will just make you go round and round with no actual solution. Call wait times are over 20mins. Email replies take over a week from them. Absolutely terrible!

Received my comprehensive car insurance renewal from Allianz. A 42% increase from the previous year. No acknowledgement of the steep increase or explanation as to why. After an eternity on hold I finally spoke to a person who trotted out the usual company line of how their costs have increased! Give me a break - 42% is simply price gouging. I have never made a claim on this policy or any other car insurance. Have now signed up to an identical policy with a competitor for nearly $40- a month less.

Received a really questionable email as confirmation of my cancelled policy where I felt threatened regarding the possibility of having issues with my visa because of my cancellation!!!! Not only I have paid a lot of money over the past months for a cover that has given really little in return, but your claiming process is no user friendly at all. On top of that, phone contact number is completely useless as they never pick up any call. Simply OUTRAGEOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never coming back.

I got car accidents 2022 December with one of Allianz client, it was his fault i put my car to Allianz repair shop . The worst insurance company. My car was stolen and burned down in Queensland and I've been trying to get in touch with them for months now. When someone answers my call, they send me to another department, and then to another, and then to another... Staying in line for hours without solutions or answers. Employees lie that the wait will be short and that they are sorry they can't fix it. They are not trained for emergencies and internal communication is disastrous.

If there was a 0 star I would give it. Over a month ago our claim got approved & we have still yet to see funds. Every excuse under the sun - wrong bank details despite them confirming them & being correct. Alternative acct given, a week later still nothing & told ‘someone didn’t click the pay button’ another week passes & I'm told ‘you’ve waited this long wait another day’ I will never purchase a policy with Allianz again & neither should anyone else

Wish could give 0 star. Called to be helped, and I started to explain the issue. But she just kept repeating “what’s your employee number”, no greetings or anything and even used very rude tone. During the whole service, she is being too arrogant and rude to me, and very impatient. When I started to say I received a text message, she assume it’s about workcover premium, and interrupted my words. definitely worse phone service experience ruined my day.

I am a 485 work visa holder and I need to leave Australia for more than a year, so I want to temporarily suspend or cancel my insurance. We didn't have an appointment when we came here, but thanks to a lady named Carmel, even though she is responsible for student visas, she immediately called Allianz customer service and helped us successfully complete the process. She was friendly and very helpful throughout the entire process. Thanks to Allianz.

Pathetic. I’ve been trying to get travel insurance and fill out all the pre existing conditions, etc. Only to get to the end and submit it, when I get ‘sorry something went wrong.’ Rubbish. My wife and I have diligently filled out the form, several times now, with the same result. Rang them and they suggested a new browser, which I installed, yet same result. Time to look for another provider. Clearly Allianz aren’t that interested in my money!

When I purchased my second hand car I made sure I purchased an extended warranty through Alliance as i was assured it was the best. Sadly...they have only cost me money, with nothing actually being repaired. I have even been forced to pay for diagnostics on my car that they consented to do with the repairer. But apparently that isn't covered either. So many out of pocket expenses without a single item repaired. I do not recommend!

Received House/Contents insurance renewal. An increase of $6,000.00 for flood! Explanation given by customer service was a change in flood overlay maps by local council. Checked with council & my home is NOT in a flood area and the maps have NOT been changed. I have lived in the house for 30 years & had insurance with them for the same period. Totally outrageous that any company can try to get away with this sort of deception.

Nothing but a nightmare experience. . .been calling for nearly 2 hours to cancel policy but no one is answering the phone...tried to switch my call to "buy new policy department" then straight away someone picked up my call then when I told him that I was cancelling my policy, he directed me to a department that never answer call...it's unbelievable service!! good decision to cancel my policy and will never come back again.

Got my car insurance renewal - went up a little. Happy to wear that. Called them to change two personal details about the policy. Updated renewal now shows I now have to pay another $50 extra. Called them and they claim there is nothing they can do and no-one you can speak to higher up. Every time you make a change, it automatically changes the policy. Ridiculous! Told them they have lost a customer.

Worst insurance company you can find, paying all that health cover plan, but when you trying to make a claim, never got any of you money back. Not sure why spend all that money for an insurance. When you trying to call them they just keeps you on hold and listen to those stupid music then transfer you to someone else then listen to music again and again. The company promises on their website to reimburse you within 10 business days for any clinic expenses. Sounds good, but in reality, it often takes way longer. You might think calling customer service will speed things up. They'll say they're bumping your claim to "emergency" status because you've waited so long, they'll then ask for more docs and you're back in the 10-business day queue

Only respond to new customers to sell more policies, then forget to be able to contact them. Anyone can try calling them, the only option to speak to an agent is to choose buying a new policy option and if you ask the customer service representative for anything else, you will get nothing as they only assist buying new policies... It used to be better last year... Very disappointed...

My roof was damaged by storm but they rejected my claim saying it was damaged by itself due to its age. I guess they could say the same to fire or any other kinds damages. Can we all trust the company they hire to inspect the damages? Takes forever to esclate the case, after nearly 3 months I am still waiting for the result. Be aware of this insurance company they are doing fraudulent assessment of motor vehicles, I was parked and touched (corner) of the from plate of another car BLAK KIA 2009, now they w ant me ?to pay For a total loss when a did not cause any damage? I tried to purchase a travel insurance from Allianz. Unfortunately, the payment page has been down for the last 4 days, despite numerous attempts to refresh and reconnect the page. On the 5th day, I called their hotline 131000 and waited for more than 1 hour before it was automatically cancelled by the Allianz. A very terrible experience for such a reputable company!

I have landlord insurance with them. Complete a scam. Wasted 3 months time. The answer is not accepting my claim. Using your poor house maintenance job as an excuse, even it's nothing to do with it. They blame it rainwater leaking results in damages but there wasn't leaking at all. They will try everyway to avoid accept your claim. Stay away from Allianz.

I have current car insurance with Allianz, I chose rental car in case of accidents and I pay monthly according to that. Last week, they asked me to drop my car at the repairer and go to AVIS to get rental car !!!!! Why should I pay for taxi or uber?!! Allianz should provide taxi vouchers for customers. Am not gonna renew my policy with this company.

Highly not recommended insurance. Took me 2 days to receive a rental car and i have to drive 1hour to get it. I loss income for 2days and they doesn’t care at all to my email. They will only repair the damage of my brand new car but I don’t think it’s worth fixing it, they only care about the money not about the customer to be a hassle free.

You obviously hoped I'd just renew and rip me off. Other quotes are 50% less. Remove "Australia" from your name Allianz as this is un-Australian. You have obviously lost my business.

I had a poor service with Allianz. I dropped my car in panel shop before 3days. I am yet to get my hire car. When contacted for hire car they are saying they can give it only after another 5 days. You cannot reach the support on Saturday and Sunday. Zero star for their support. With out choosing stars it's not allowing me to post my comment

Really bad!!! Policy is meant to book a rental, after hours of trying to get someone on the phone, they advised rental was booked, when I arrived at the location there was no booking made. I now have no car whilst my car is being repaired, spent hours trying to get a consultant on the phone, sent emails and still nothing.

Dealt with Allianz insurance as part of extended warranty cover. Claim is approved, but no payment being made. When enquired multiple time and confirming bank account is correct - allianz advised money already sent (never received) their behaviour is fraudulent. Avoid at all cost.

Service what service?? 3 phone calls disconnected on each. If you have to wait 30 minutes to be answered then you need more staff!!! Try Budget Direct made a claim on the others persons policy no problems with hire car, repairs and they answer the phone as well.

Worst health insurance. Refused to cover me during bridging visa although I had paid for it. They refused claims afterwards and had to spend time over the phone for hours to simply get an “approval”. I would seriously stay away from these scammers.

Great experience made even better by lovely staff. The food was very high quality with fresh ingredients. We shared 3 pizzas nd pasta between 6. It was one of the best pizzas. Online booking was very easy and we wouldn’t hesitate to come again
