With all the options for buying bicycles in this area and LA in particular, I chose to visit Al's recycles simply because I needed a bike fast and cheap without having to fool around with individual sales and auctions online. I'm so glad I did -- now I can't imagine going anywhere else! Al tailors the whole experience to your needs in a very friendly and accommodating, but not slimy or pushy, way, and even gave me a $100 discount due to multiple purchases. And don't forget that he'll give free repairs within 30 days of purchase! It's obvious that this man knows and loves his bikes, and his enthusiasm turned what could have been a chore into a very pleasant and memorable experience.
I found Al's Re-Cycles through Yelp and I can't express how happy I am that I did strongly enough. Through his actions, you can tell that Al values the satisfaction of his customers with their bikes above all else. He has a rare combination of a thorough mechanical understanding, the work ethic to go above and beyond to make sure everything turns out as best as possible, a love for his craft, and the ability to listen to and connect with his customers. I'm beyond happy with the bike he put together for me and I would recommend reaching out to him before you do anything else.
I got smacked by a car yesterday and bent both of my wheels and cracked my helmet- brought my bike to Al's today and he got me all set up with a new wheelset at a great price, checked my frame and fork for cracks, gave my whole bike a quick once-over to make sure it was road safe, and even threw me an old helmet he had layin around for the ride home. The total turnaround time was like 20 minutes. This shop rules, they have a bunch of cool refurbished bikes and the guys working here know their stuff. Highly recommend.
Was lucky enough to find Al & his team after buying a boxed bike over the Internet during the pandemic, and the bike arrived damaged. Rather than shipping the unassembled bike back, Al dug in deep and not only built the bike for me, but repaired all of the damage that occurred during shipping. His prices are more than fair, he guarantees his spot-on work and he’s a good man that I’d trust with more than just my bike. If you’re in the area, or even finding his shop from far away, you want to do business with Al.
I really wanted to make this repair on my own but I couldn’t do it. Jason replaced the wheel crank and pedals in very quick time. Probably not the most complicated but he took me in quickly, made the repairs and I was paying for it after abt 10-15 minutes. Even the customers who showed up after me were super nice. I’m very grateful and have been enjoying rides since my visit a couple weeks back. Any other issues pop up I will definitely be returning here!
Al's was incredible for my Burning Man bike: all I needed was some oil, inflate the tires, make sure all's working well (after the event being cancelled for 2 yrs, bike had been in storage for 3), and the basket had been put on janky w/ zipties - Al got me all tuned up, inflated and w/ new basket release clamp for under $40! Even oiled the bell when I asked if it sounded ok. Friendly, helpful, no BS, and >$100 cheaper than city bike shops! Thank you!
Really great customer service here, and very nice people! I brought an old bike in that hadn’t been used for a long time. Jason fixed it up by fixing the bike chains and gears at a very affordable price. He was knowledgeable about bike mechanics, and had a lot of attention to detail. He was very helpful, even wiping off a lot of the dust collected on the bike! I’ll be going back here if I have any other bicycle issues
The bike man, Raul, was super informative, and totally friendly. He quickly repaired my mountain bike rear tire tear. He also adjusted my handle bars, and my maladjusted brake system, after he heard me complain about my issues. He was fast n obviously knew his bikes. Totally affordable. I highly recommend Raul at Al's bike shop in Reseda. Jesse
Highly recommend Al’s! I wanted to get my bike working but don’t know anything about bikes besides riding it and putting air in the tires. So I took it over to Al’s and left it to him to do his magic. When it was done, it looked brand new and rides perfect. He doesn’t overcharge and is honest so definitely happy I found this place.
I had a great experience at Als bike shop, they were willing to take an old bike to get store credit, and they have so many options. They mostly sell used bikes or bikes that look somewhat new. Overall its a great store and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs a bike, but does not want to spend so much.
Awesome place to leave your bike. Friendly. Reasonable pricing, had my bike fixed in a matter of a few days and me happily riding it again. My bike is everything o me because I commute every day to and from work. Trust me these are true professionals and they can be trusted with any type of bikes you throw upon them.
This guy safe my life, my first time i just stop their it was an emergency, he repair my bike in 20 minutes replace the AXLE , Adjust ALL SPOKES AND VALANCE RIM. AFORDABLE price and the best costumer service, I HIGHLY recoment this place AND THE GUY. I'LL give him six starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ T H A K Y O U !!!!!!!
They were all super nice to me and my sister. We changed both rear and front tires and the chain as well. We also wanted to do some cleaning to the bike. The result was really satisfying. Our bike looks like new again. Would definitely go again whenever we have a problem with our bike.
Great work by Al and Jason, same day service and we’re very knowledgeable about my very first bike. Took her on a 30 mile ride super smoothly. Even replaced my speedometer battery for free. This is a small shop that deserves more recognition. Check it out and you’ll be taken care of!
If want to buy high priced bikes, that are questionable of origin, then this is the place for you. Tweeker rebuilding a car out front? Says it all. How the police haven't shut this down crazy, by the way if lost an expensive bicycle, you might want to check there.
Al, Mason, & Cari are fantastic! Great customer service, excellent knowledge on bike repairs, thorough work, and very professional. I couldn't be happier with my my new bike they fixed for me. I will definitely be back if I need service again. GREAT JOB GUYS!
My coworker had an extra bike he sold me and I needed a new tube and tire. He told me go to Al right down the road. Was surprised to see a bike shop right in the neighborhood. Al made sure I was able to ride away no problems and at a fair price. Thanks again!
Shoutout to Raul who took care of our two bikes. First time customers, Raul explained what needed to be fixed on our two bikes that had been sitting in the garage for years. Came back two days later, bikes were fixed and tuned up all for a great price !
Al has my total trust and confidence. His shop is part of the bedrock of small business, a place where I know I'm getting the best service possible. His team was able to replace the gear shifters on my vintage road bike, at an affordable cost.
If your looking for a bike defiantly come here first. The owner Al is such a good guy. Nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Great staff and awesome deals on bikes. I just bought a MT. bike, such a good deal. And they even take in older bikes.
I bought my bike here a beach cruiser 2-3 years ago from Al and she's still running good Al sold me a good bike at a good price and the service is amazing thanks Al so much today I went to buy my bf's bike he loves it :D
This place is great. Other places wanted to charge me way more. They were honest and did an amazing job. Even took my bike apart so I could pack it and ship it. Will definitely keep coming back.
Amazing mom and pop shop. Wonderful and experienced people. I took my old Trek 5500 and right away Jason took care of it. Very professional. Great guy. Would definitely recommend this place.
Awesome place. I got a great bike, helmet, and mini U lock for like $440 after tax. Everyone was really nice and taught me a lot. They even had bikes priced as low as $100.
Bought a commuter bike today and Al customized the seat and handlebars to make exactly what I needed. Totally satisfied with the service and price. God bless u Al.
Thank you Al and his team for helping me with my bike. Installed new parts and made it rideable right before the valley bike ride. Great service and very helpful.
Got a Marin Mountain Bike from here, special price so just take it home.. Got Served by Raul he adjust the bike like what i want, he is the best!
Great bike shop. Good selection. Al went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Thank you Al.
I brought my ebike in for brake adjustment and I will definitely come back in the future if there will be a need.
