This was one of several dealerships visited in looking to buy a used Ford Focus, and the one I chose to do business with. The business is run by father and son, who both came to pick me up from Leeds station, with dog in the back of the car: this made for an excellent first impression! The cars on show were all in very good condition, although I was only interested in the Focus. It was immaculate in and out (and under!) and measured up very well with other specimens that I'd seen in my search. The car was on sale for a fair price, came with all documents, a full service history, new tyres and a recent service and MOT. There was no room for negotiation on price, although this was in my case probably down to the fact that I had chosen to buy a very well-presented model in a popular range of car. I'm sure if I hadn't paid full price, then they would have sold it to somebody who would have done! As it was, the overall quality of the car ensured that I was happy to pay it. I would recommend this business to anyone nervous about buying a second-hand car. Although I had a fair idea of what I was doing, the two owners are friendly, relaxed and appear very honest in their work. I can imagine that they would talk you through any concerns you might have and explain things in a sympathetic manner, if you don't know what to look for. Their prices (not just on my car, but on others I browsed) match what you should expect to pay, although I can imagine there might be a little more wiggle room on the more expensive models available. Rob was excellent in processing my payment, taxing the car online, and arranging 5-day insurance cover for only £12.99, all in the office within about 5 minutes. From being picked up at the station to driving away in my new car only took about an hour in total. I can imagine that if everyone they do business with is as happy as me, then they should do very well indeed in future!

After meeting Rob and viewing a car I arranged to return the following day with my wife (the car was for her) to show her the car and have a test drive. A day and time was arranged with Rob. When we arrived for the test drive (at the exact date/time) Rob was not about. His colleague was running the showroom and showing another customer the same car we had come to test drive. When I told him we had come for the 12 o'clock appointment he said he just had to take the other customer out for a test drive first (Rob later confirmed he did not have an appointment). I made it clear to him I had an appointment but he didn’t seem to care (even though we were on our lunch breaks from work). When I called Rob he said his colleague should have taken us out first and honoured the appointment. I then arranged to come back 1hr later. When I returned I was told the car was sold. Seems like Rob and his colleague didn’t communicate very well and the customer who came in should have been told to make a test drive appointment at a later date as they already had an appointment to fulfil with myself. His colleague then decided to lie to me and said the other customer had an appointment, even though Rob had earlier confirmed to me he was speculative customer come in off the street. I was in a position to buy the car after the test drive so feel let down with this service. In summary the customer service was very poor – typical of what most people expect from a car salesman.

I recently bought a BMW 5 Series from the guys at Alwoodley Motors and they were fantastic. For a change when buying the car I felt like a valued customer rather than a walking pound sign. Too many times with car sales now do you feel like the rapport building and interest is all scripted but this is not the case here. I was given as much time as I needed to view the car, the guys were able to answer all my questions. They checked what type of usage I would be getting from the vehicle to make sure that it genuinely suited my needs. They offered alternatives that could have been more suitable and encouraged me to check these too. The cars they have are all great quality and priced at the right level. I do lots of research when buying as I like to find the best price as I can't do with all of the pantomime of haggling over price. All of their cars are competitively priced so I knew the price I paid was a fair one. I also always wait a month or so before reviewing cars as I like to make sure everything is good with the car and I am delighted to say it runs like a dream. Great customer service and genuine people, good quality car at best price I could find. Can't recommend enough.

Purchased a BMW M135i from Rob at Alwoodley Motors back in January. The process was good and the vehicle had been amazing for the first few weeks. After a few weeks I started getting a drivetrain error. BMW wouldn’t diagnose it as the rocker cover was leaking. I took this back to Rob to repair under warranty. When I got the car back the error still persisted (as expected) but I found the quality of the work to change the rocker cover gasket was awful. The breather pipe attached to the rocker cover had been broken and taped back together (mentioned this to Rob and he told me it wasn’t covered under warranty) the trim around the scuttle panel was insecure and finally I found pieces of broken plastic in the under tray. In conclusion, if you don’t buy the extended warranty, they don’t seem to care. The normal warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on, you’ll get a shoddy rush job. I’ve now had to spend an additional £2000 on a car that was worth £12k. Had better aftercare buying cars worth £3000.

Second car in less than 2 years from Rob and the team at Alwoodley Motors. 1st car was a 10 year old skoda estate. Immaculately presented for its age and was well looked after from start to finish. Plenty of time just to look and think. Car has been great during that period but time to treat myself to something better. Kept watching the website for another estate but something a bit more upmarket. Then it appeared!! BMW 520 SE D Touring. Mineral white pearlescent. Every extra. Low mileage. 1st look and I was sold. Robs team certainly know how to prepare cars and also are not hovering trying to sell you things you don't want or need. Collected the car a few days later and knew I had made the right choice. I would certainly not hesitate recommending Alwoodley Motors. Small and independent with some really nicely presented cars. A very easy experience. Thanks again. Easily the best place to buy a used car in the UK. I really hate the process of buying a used car. First the trawling through ads trying to find what I'm looking for, then travelling miles to see an "immaculate example" only to arrive and find quite the opposite, let alone the haggle. Buying from Alwoodley has been an absolute breathe of fresh air. Starting with the detailed ad and 20+ clear photographs, through the very personable first phone call to daily updates by phone and text. I eventually made the long trip to Leeds from Dorset, arrived at a clean and well organised showroom and had the kind of conversation that made me feel I'd been buying from these guys for years. The Audi A6 I bought was even better than described, and presented to me spotlessly. All the paperwork was prepared and the transaction couldn't have been easier. After searching for months, I found a car that fit my specification, mileage, year and colour requirements at Alwoodley Motors. The showroom was easy to find, extremely clean, well set out and every car was absolutely gleaming. After a very brief hello, we were left alone (much preferred, I hate the pushy hovering type of salesman). The car was prepped to perfection and shot way higher above our expectations. Needless to say, we bought it and are confident we wouldn't have found anything like this, it was easily worth more than the asking price. We didn't purchase extra warranty, we just had the standard in house 3 month warranty but after a month unfortunately a mechanical issue occurred which was unforeseeable. A quick call to Alwoodley motors and within 3 days, it was fixed and perfect again! No arguments, no stress, just true promises of looking after their customers. Car sales garages are a minefield but do not think twice, I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat. Thank you again!

We searched nearly every website before we saw a beautiful Ford Kuga in this Showroom. Although we live in Nottingham we thought it was well worth taking the trip to have a look from the description, spec and photo of the car. We were not disappointed. Rob opened up just for us as it was a Sunday and let us have a test drive and even try the boot out for size for our dog. All spot on. To save us making another trip back to sign documents etc Rob emailed us all the relevant paperwork, we were able to sign, scan it back and the car was ours and picked up on Tuesday morning. We cannot fault the personal and professional service we had and i would highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful car to come to these guys. Spoke to Rob about a car I had seen on the website, he was very helpful and advised me about the finance options available he also gave me an estimate on my part exchange which was very fair. The next day I went to see the car and it was exactly as described. He evaluated my part exchange and stuck to his word. The finance was arranged within a couple of hours and I was able drive it away the same day. I was offered an RAC warranty which I decided not to go for in the end, Rob never questioned or pushed me to change my mind which was a welcome change from most salesmen I've dealt with in the past. I forgot to pickup the car documents from his desk in the excitement, Rob called promptly whilst I was on the way home and offered to post them out to me free of charge. No regrets dealing with this company, a refreshing change from car dealerships in the past!

High-end cars presented 'as is' - meaning whilst they're all clean and tidy, there's no obvious pro-level valet or smart repairs before viewing (I couldn't care less for the latest car-sales trend of stripey hoovered carpets and stone-chip less front valances). I actually prefer it this way - because you can make the call yourself regarding previous history/care/cleaning regimes, and not fall into the trap of buying an 'immaculately presented' (i.e. immaculately valeted/repaired) wreck! Rob is amicable and more importantly appears genuine - a bit of a rarity in high-performance car sales. Nothing to fault with our purchase - from initial enquiry through to completion the whole experience was spot on. I'd happily recommend them and will even consider them for our next car purchase - despite the 4 hr round trip 'ooop Norrrth'!

Very good experience. Hadn't bought a used car in a while and was not looking forward to the usual haggle. Had seen a few others and was not impressed. Took a trip to Alwoodley Motors and was presented with an immaculate BMW 5 series. Exactly as described on their website and with a fair price tag. No wriggle room on the prices, which are more than fair anyway, but I'm old school and programmed to at least try. Got a fair price for our ancient trade in. Rob took care of all the paperwork very efficiently and the optional RAC warranty is reasonably priced. 4 weeks on and I cannot find a single problem with this car. Rob has taken the time to text me to check all is well and I'm happy to say that it is. Would definitely recommend Alwoodley Motors and will probably buy my next car from them.

Bought a BMW 540i m sport with some very rare options last week. A very honest description and Rob is a really decent trader and nice chap to deal with , he took my car in part X as agreed over the phone, no messing around like we have experienced before, 1 paid the deposit to hold the car and he did. On arrival I was welcomed to a very professional outfit with some lovely motors. The Car was ready before the agreed time on the day and Rob rang a few hours before so I could get on the road to avoid traffic on my way home. The whole process was faultless. The car is in exceptional condition and its nice to find a decent car sales company's as there are so many out there that are not. Credit where credits due. Great service from Alwoodly Motors (Rob) on the purchase of my Audi RS3. Advert on Auto Trader was very descriptave with good photos to support. I then conatacted Rob via WhatsApp and Call to arrange a viewing, where I travelled down from Newcastle to view the car, over the weekend which was appointment only and no issue for Rob. Car was as described and Rob gave me freedom to look around the car on my own with 0 pressure from his side. I then took the car for a test drive with Rob, got back to the dealership and started the purchase. The whole time in the dealership was less than 2 hours and I was driving away in my new car. My partner and I bought from Alwoodley Motors Ltd recently and felt as though our experience was very positive. The gentleman who handled our enquiry and the sale of the car was to the point, didn't dance around our questions and was overall very professional. We were given a fair price for the car that we traded in without being negotiated down. We did our research on the value of our trade in car beforehand. The car itself was spotlessly cleaned. Visited late on a Saturday afternoon and was meet with two nice easy going guys and well presented cars. The car I intended to view was overshadow by a car that had newly arrived and was being prepared, that said the guys moved half the showroom and walked me through it prior to a test drive, at that late time of the day it shows the guys commitment to customer service, hands shaken car bought! The boot liner was missing from the test drive but a quick call reassured me all the mats and liner would be in place fresh n clean on collection, I would have no hesitation in dealing with the garage again, clear communications and a great service.

Just bought a freelander 2 from alwoodley motors what a fantastic car low mileage just what I wanted from start to Finnish I dealt with rob who was very helpful I would recommend anyone to buy from here. Saw a very nice 540i on Autotrader which I organised to go look at the following day with Rob, apparently it had only come in on the day we found it but was still spotless. It was immaculate and fully loaded in an unusual colour, this and the other car's they have show the kind vehicle they're aiming to sell. Had a lease car which was going back so no part-ex but Rob sorted finance the same day. Some delay with the DVLA taking off it's private plate but Rob kept us updated throughout. Handover day was quick and easy and been chuffed to bits with it since. Highly recommended!

Bought A BMW 440 and Ive had nothing but problems, Rob ignores all calls and answers other numbers straight away. The engine in a word is knakered. His cars seem to have "vare Rare" extras at cheaper than other prices and theres a reason for this. The cars are knakered underneath and the M sport body kit extras like the one i have on mine, are cheap 3rd party knock offs and not official BMW. Hes a con artist and has deleted my review 3 times. Theres a reason theres no 1 star reviews, hes got them all removed. BEWARE!!!!!

Not being local to Leeds I spoke to Rob on the phone several times about an A3 I liked, he agreed a price on my px on the phone (provided it was as described) so we drove the two and a half hours to see this A3 he had agreed to see us when he would normally be closed so that was good for us. We were able to do a deal same day and drive the A3 away nice and easy. Impressive stock and easy to deal with, I have met some 'tasty' car dealers in my time and have to say Rob has restored my confidence in them

I have bought two vehicles from this dealer without physically seeing them as I live 400 miles away. The first, a Kia Sorento, was described accurately, priced fairly and better than expected when I went to collect. Then 2 years later I traded in the Kia for an Audi A5 which was also as described, in beautiful condition inside and out with FSH and fresh MOT. Outstanding customer service. Friendly, understanding and efficient. Thoroughly impressed on both occasions and would highly recommend.
