It’s been a couple of months since my appointment with dr. Harris and I am still struggling to reconcile just how awful, negligent, dismissive, incompetent and overall ridiculous my visit was. I came for an annual checkup with some distinct, new-to-me GI concerns. This doctor didn’t even take my blood. She took down my history, found labs from TWO years ago in the system (from my previous GP), said she “bets nothing has changed” (!), showed me a website about IBS and sent me on my way. This does not a physical make. Obviously I went to a different doctor immediately because I found Harris’ blasé approach preposterous and frankly, dangerous. It turns out I have a very common but difficult to get rid of bacteria h. pylori, which wreaks havoc on one’s GI tract. Undetected and untreated it causes stomach ulcers and potentially stomach cancer. I am also severely deficient in vitamin B12 due to the bacteria — something dr. Harris would have seen, had she done the bare minimum of taking my labs. If you value your health at all, do not come to this practice. Additionally, she told me that the fact that my obgyn gives me yearly PAPs is “a waste of money”, so that really spoke to me about her values and where her concerns lie. I don’t believe that this physician should be practicing (or pretending to practice) medicine at all and I have contacted my insurance to tell them as much.

The only reason I went to Dr. Harris for over a year is because she is within walking distance of my apartment. After today I will be finding another practitioner. I’ve left every Dr. Harris appointment feeling my health concerns were not taken serious or feeling judged. I made the huge mistake of telling Dr. Harris about my mental health struggles at a difficult time over a year ago. Since then, it does not matter the reason I am visiting her, Dr. Harris will find a way to bring up, or associate whatever I’m experiencing with my mental health. But not in a helpful way, more in a stigmatizing judgemental way. I went in today with several symptoms of the flu and after glancing at my chart Dr. Harris tried to put my extreme fatigue on my mental health. I understand the type of institution Dr. Harris previously worked at may have shaped her demeanor as a practitioner. But I think it’s time she seriously reexamines her approach to patients. Currently there are too many negative attributes I don’t want associated with someone charged with my addressing health.

My experience with Dr. Harris is amazinggggg, she always make me feel as a VIP even when I went to her first at Kings County hospital, and then I learn she had her own practice without even mentioning it, she was shock I found her and switch all my information from kings county to her own practice. She’s even great with my mother, we have no complaints. Dr. Harris care, and she is big on the natural way instead of taking medicine all the time. She had help me with many health issue and concern. Today was my first visit to DR Harris and my oveal experience was 10/10 . Not only does she listen to your problems. But she is honest about what approach is best for you in your situation and will give you what you need and help find better ways to accommodate your needs in your current crises. Unlike my last pcp she was very hesitant on helping me and my need and refused it smh lack of care and she didn't even remember me as her patient she asked for my last name to identify me that is when I had it and met my new pcp Dr Harris thankyou for your support.

She seem ok with my father but she would act weird with me. I told her my profession and it seemed as if she judged me off that. Every trip to the office with my father i felt as if i was an enemy. I was told to find a neurologist but i thought she was in charge of that. I would text her about my father and would never get a reply. She definitely judged me because of my profession and never worked with me or heard anything about me. She needs better people skills

Dr.Harris Is Literally one of the best doctor's ever. She actually LISTEN to your medical concerns. She answer calls as well as call back if she missed your call and she makes you feel comfortable at all times. Thank you Dr.Harris for all you do. You are truly appreciated especially in times like these. I recommend her to everyone it's been a little over a year since I've been coming and I'm completely satisfied.

Dr Harris is an incredible doctor. Her bedside manner, kindness and sense of humor are part of what make me look forward to my annual visits. She is also very comprehensive and digs deep into whatever is bothering me. I feel like I’m forming a long lasting relationship with someone. Between office visits and telehealth appointments I’ve never waited long for help. Thank you Dr Harris. I appreciate you.

Dr. Harris is one of the best doctors I've had because she is a great listener, takes time to find out as much as she can about my concerns, and cares for my well-being. I came in with a terrible skin infection on my thigh last winter and she treated me for two weeks until it was fully healed. I have historically had phobias around doctors and hospitals and she was able to put me at ease.

Lack of care and communication. I was very disappointed. Dr Harris was dismissive and almost condescending on more than one occasion. Also- be aware theres only a part time assistant. I experienced a frustrating break in communication between the patient, the dr and the assitant.

Dr. Amanda Harris is so wonderful! I had a very good experience at her office and am so relieved that I finally found a doctor who not only takes my insurance but also listens, and cares. She's kind, professional, straight forward, and down to earth! 10/10 recommend !

I felt very triggered by my visit with this doctor. I left her office and was troubled by our interaction. Didn't appreciate the questions asked or the way I was treated. I'm not even sure she understands how I experienced her.

She cares, is generous with her time, has a great network of doctors to recommend, and has taken great care of me for the past 4 years.

Great doctor! Highly recommend.
