I reserved Landale By Amaya Nuwaraeliya during 26th - 28th August 2017. We arrived the resort by 26th Afternoon & spent the 1st night there. On the 27th August early morning I had an emergency call from Colombo & had to cut short our stay. Early in the morning I informed the reception that we have to leave by afternoon & will not stay on the 2nd day. No issue was risen at that time or acknowledgement was done at that time about the billing. Me & my family were surprised & shocked at the check-out time when they produced a bill to pay for the 2nd day saying that hotel policy is such that I have to pay full. We knew that hotel was not full & meals were not consumed of the 2nd day yet I had to pay 47,200/- LKR. Since our priority was to get back to Colombo I payed the amount through the credit card & left the place. Do you fully charge a client without delivering the service ? Is it a policy of Hayley's Group? Aren't you violating the customer protection act of the country? Please do not use terms such as "Policy" , "Rule" to snatch money from client in this manner. You offer, You deliver & if there is any real lost, recover from client. Don't earn money unlawfully. There was no opportunity lost to the resort. You can check your bookings & inquires. We selected the resort 2 months early while Grand Hotel & Tea Factory were on offer. Rates were almost the same or may be bit less to you. Really regret that decision. You are not a small boutique to con and make money like this. Please use the money you grab from me & arrange a "Thinking Session" to rethink your "Policies","Rules" & Staff Training.

Amaya Lake-Dambulla If you are going there, take medicine with you for purging and vomiting due to food poisoning. 60 of us went in end August 7 got sick, including my daughter (15) and others adults. Luckily not the small kids. All spent the rest of the days in toilets. It's nothing new, in 2006 on our last visit two fell very sick. A week before this my friend felt very sick. Someone is saving money to the hotel by serving cooked items day after day until the stock last or they are serving expired meat items. I want to write these incidents to local Health officials.

Very bad hotel. Unprofessional. Did not refund upon cancellation according to the booking agreement. Refund was applied more than two month ago to the booking date. Now the hotel including the accountant do not answer calls. I strongly suggest if they steal money from the customers, how you can trust this star hotel. If you book a hotel in Sri Lanka, you better go for another one.

Prime example of people ripping off tourists, to think this area was once affected by a tsunami and political war, it so badly needs the revenue from tourists but everything is so over charged it actually gives you sour taste no matter what you order!

Was very surprised that the hotel is printing the final bill on used paper and that the paper was used before for their business planning, disclosing all sort of details. Not sure they should do that

very ugly experience in Amaya lake dambulla, first time in sri lanka hotels compare with aitken, jetwing hotels very very unhappy your room service also restaurant service. i never visit your hotels in my life time

If you are looking for a place to relax in a peace and clam environment which close the nature, this would one of the best places. Very friendly and attentive staff with delicious food. Love the nature beauty

Very beautiful place. I had a really great experience during my stay there. The staff is really wonderful, always have a smile on their face. Food is really great. Great for family and also for couples.

Last holiday day we went to Amaya hills . I must say that is a marvellous place with nice viwe. staff and food were great. This is perfect place to relax.

A nice place for spa in the posh neighborhood of Colombo. There are also nice places nearby to stroll by after the spa.

Nice beach, pool , food. Waiting to go back
