Awful experience. There was a man in the house who were really disrespectful (I don’t know if it is the other manager or her companion). My friends came to visit me to take me out visit the city. As soon as we entered the house, that man looked down on my friends and I telling me I was not allowed to receive guest in front of my friends doing hands gestures and everything. It was rude and disrespectful as Irina told me I can receive friends, just no party was allowed. I was feeling very uncomfortable all over my stay(2days) and that man have been rude. For the price I paid, it was not worth it, I will not recommend to anyone. In the other hand, the breakfast in the morning was great and the lady Irina was welcoming and flexible as for the breakfast time.

Overall our experience here was just okay. We arrived around 6PM and we were greeted by the owners teen daughter. She showed us to our room and it was rather awkward. In terms of the room and amenities, they are nothing to write home about. The bathroom was not very clean and there were a lot of small dead bugs on the ceilings. In addition, you can hear every movement in the house, as well as people talking outside, because the walls are so thin. The breakfast was good, definitely the best part of our stay. In the end, we really wanted to like this place but the hospitality is lacking, as was the coziness and cleanliness you would expect for a B&B. Unless you get a really good deal on staying here (less than 75$/ night), I would sooner go to a hotel nearby.

Situato in posizione semi-centrale, a circa 15-20 minuti a piedi dal centro città. Offre una abbondante e buona colazione con pancakes, sciroppi, caffè, omelette, il tutto preparato espresso dai due coniugi che, nonostante l'apparenza di freddi e distaccati proprietari di casa, quando ci si entra un minimo in confidenza sanno essere cortesi e simpatici. Unica pecca, l'unico bagno (comunque pulito, ampio e funzionale) a disposizione delle 5 stanze, che puó portare anche a medie/lunghe attese. Tutto sommato, consigliabile.

This is a great location if you need to visit one of the many embassies nearby. It was a short walk(15-20 minutes) for me to the market nearby as well as the various other areas. My room was clean and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I had originally thought I would be running a little late on checking out and asked if it would be possible if I checked out slightly later than the agreed upon time. The hosts said that would be no problem and wished me luck with my plans. The included breakfast was great. It was very filling and tasty. I would likely check this place out again if I visit Ottawa in the future.

I felt very much at home here and would definitely stay again! My room and facilities were very clean. So many thoughtful and considerate touches, such as having a separate fridge and microwave to use, in-room coffee machine and glass bottled water, big screen tv, big comfy bed, good quality shampoo, conditioner, soap and sanitizing wipes. Best of all was the hostess, Irina. She was very friendly and helpful. She offered generous choices of food for breakfast, on top of being a good cook. Also, I loved that breakfast was served at separate times (for each party) to maintain proper safety.

Not recommended for the allergic sensitive. told owner i had chemical sensitivity but she didn't feel a duty to tell me she allows pot smokers as guests to smoke marijuana outside and come in reeking of the drug smoke. i was made ill as a result. bathroom also smells of other users scented products. breakfast omelette eggs were runny twice. beds are hard. she has a child staying there that is of course not quiet and the second room she put me in was facing laurier ave and therefore constant traffic noise. she was generous enough to allow me to use computer and phone hence the 3 stars.

We chose this Bed and Breakfast because of its location. We were going to the Venezuelan Embassy to get our passports. Irina was kind enough to checked us in after midnight, gave us incredible and valuable information about the process (she has hosted many Venezuelans before us) like regardless the time going to the embassy to put our names on the list. And on top of that the breakfast is delicious, balanced and better than many hotels, in my opinion. Also ga ve us pointers where to go sightseeing after we did our errands. I cannot recommend this place enough.

My husband and I had a long weekend and decided to wander around Ottawa. We did not realize how close this b&b was to one of our favorite spots, Byward Market when we booked it. We walked there in no time and got to see more of the city in the process. The Ambassador is a beautiful home. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and roomy. Breakfast was simply amazing! The omelet was to die for and the coffee was 5 star! The owners were very gracious and helpful. I would recommend this place over a hotel any day!

My wife and I had a 5-star stay here, and experienced wonderful service from Irina, who fixed a filling breakfast each morning and provided outstanding advice on seeing the sights. The B&B is in a safe & clean residential area of downtown Ottawa, within walking distance to many embassies, Parliament, museums, restaurants, and shopping. And, it is a great value, as well, especially considering the free parking.

This is my favourite place in town, I stay with this wonderful family every time I visit Ottawa! Irina is a wonderful host and an amazing chef. Her breakfast is unbeatable. Love the specialty crepes, coffee, omelette, everything! The location is perfect - right in the heart of historical part of the city, a few minutes walk to Byward market, subway and it’s right besides a nice park with Roseau river. Cannot ask for more. Cannot wait to stay again next time!

The owner, Irina, is a wonderful host. She is going beyond the normal service, giving an excellent breakfast and kind touristic orientation to everyone. And especially to venezuelans who need to do the passeport at the embassy, 5 minutes walking from there. The room and the whole house are clean and warm, it's make you feel at home.

Pro: bed is confy, breakfast is delicious, the apparence inside and outside the hotel is quite a feature on its own. The staff is generally friendly. Con: there was always a few flies going around when I was there, room didn't appeared to have shades, and the hosts weren't very keen to having children around if they happens to make children noises.

Bed we slept on was not that comfortable. Could hear talking and movement through the house. Stairs were really creaky when walked in. Shared bathroom between more than two rooms which was a tad annoying. Great breakfast though - ask for the omelette! We only stayed one night as locals and wouldn't stay again, but the price was right.

Irena was a 10/10 host. The accommodation is clean, comfortable & a great location. Irena got up early to make us breakfast for our early departure at 6.45am. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. And an added bonus was Archibald the beautiful cat

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed there for 2 nights in a big suit. The service was really nice, delicious home cooked breakfast, very nice people and friendly atmosphere. Convenient location, clean and safe. Next time we visit Ottawa we will for sure stay at this place again.

The location is good which is near the Ottawa university and 10 minutes in taxi from central train station. The host family is welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is good. A small house good to stay if you are a single traveller on budget.

We had a nice but simple room. Breakfast was very good. Host was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Only one bathroom ;-( Close to a park by the river. We walked to parliament from there in 20 but we are fast.
