MUST-TRY ICONIC DESSERT IN SAN FRANCISCO: the Swedish Princess Cake. Where to get it? Ambrosia Bakery! I love their Swedish Princess Cake. All I can say is, wow! The layers of sponge cake, whipped cream, pastry cream, raspberry jam, and marzipan all blended together perfectly, creating a delicious and visually stunning dessert. Check out the heart shaped cake for Valentine’s Day! The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the cake was light and not too sweet. Ambrosia Bakery definitely knows how to make an indulgent Swedish Princess Cake. This cake is high on our list every year for birthdays. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new dessert to try in San Francisco. You won't be disappointed! I’ve been going to Ambrosia for decades, and their muffins, tricolor mousse and tiramisu cakes are the bomb. You really cannot go wrong with any of their cakes.

This is our local gem, inexpensive, tasty, not too sweet, great staff, Vietnamese plus French fusion. I was introduced here by a very good friend, after I tried, I just visited super often. During Christmas time, everyone local here will pre-order popular holiday cake Yule Log, I missed the chance to order last year, now I have to wait until November to place the order. One of my favorite cake here is horchata. I love how Ambrosia Bakery sit on Ocean Ave, super convenient location, there's a M Stop "Ocean Ave" you can get off and jump on the Muni bus. Finding a parking space here is also not difficult. Staff is always very nice, * don't know how they pick their staff, every single individual here is amazing.

7/7/23: The cookies were good. Not much different from most other places, but they were of high quality. Might be a bit less expensive than Noe Valley Bakery, though. The shake drink was tasty. Polite staff. What sets this bakery apart from Noe Valley Bakery is that at Noe Valley Bakery, the workers are obnoxious. They give you a nasty look when you don't tip for their simply putting your purchase into a box & ringing you up! At Ambrosia Bakery, the workers are not obnoxious kids! They're hard working & do not give you a nasty look when you pay for what you bought!

Excellent quality, fresh bakery croissants that are deliciously flakey and chewy, reminding me of croissants I've had while in Paris. Their other bakery pastries, muffins, and scones and are also great quality and tasty.

This is my childhood bakery. I've been coming here for over 20yrs. Today I picked up a Princess cake for my dad's birthday. I called them last minute at 9am today and they had the cake ready for me (less than 1hr) with the correct writing on the cake. I got a croissant and cheese Danish, both delicious. Service was good and the bakery was very clean

I was there with my son on Friday, Jan. 13th (around 3pm to be exact) to get coffee and cookies. I noticed there was no greeting from two boys and service wasn’t that great either. But when the white man came in, the Asian boy greeted him and gave him a better service. I guess no service to Asian people? I’m not returning to this bakery.

Ordered a carrot muffin, and a cafe latte. Unfortunately, the muffin had a hair in it , which totally ruined it for me. And the latte was too big, which seemed like an unnecessary waste. I really wanted to like this place, as I try to support my local coffee shops instead of big chains. Maybe I will try it again, but no promises!

The customer service is professional, kind, and helpful. The bakery is very clean. My God, the fruit tart is to die for, simply divine. The fruit was fresh, the custard was light, smooth, and the right amount of sweetness, the crust was buttery and flaky. All I can say is this place is a must go to.

I contacted them to make the cake for my son's birthday and they got back to me right away confirming they will make the cake. I emailed them 3 weeks before the birthday party to provide details about size and pickup. I never heard back from them. The most unprofessional service I have ever seen.

Their pastries are freaking amazing here and the service is always great. I highly recommend any one of baked good if you have a sweet tooth like mines.

I ordered the Dream Cake for my son's birthday, it was ok , not great. Cake was bit dry , nothing exceptional about it. We like lightly sweet and fluffy cakes and it was nothing like that.

My go to place for when craving cake. I like all from white to chocolate cake. Favorites are Dream cake and mocha custard. Light, fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness.

Ambrosia is wonderful! Everything made as it should be, lots of marzipan in the bear claws, just the right amount of icing on the cakes. Yum!

Best fruit pies, cakes, cookies and other sweet treats around. The choc chip cookies are amazing!

They have great sweets and delicious cake - I got my BD cake there and everybody loved it.

Been getting their pesto twists for over a decade, heads up it's usually sold out by 9am.
