I visited Dr. McCarthy after arriving in Barcelona from Paris. I'd been partying a bit too much in Paris and ended up with a really bad sore throat that wouldn't go away. I'd called on two other Doctors before visiting Dr. McCarthy. The first one said they'd e-mail me an intake form for a video consultation that they didn't send until the following morning. The second that I'd called the following morning told me they'd send a Doctor to my hotel, who never arrived. Both wanted significantly more money than Dr. McCarthy and provided a lower quality service. I called Dr. McCarthy at about 9 am and she arranged an in-person appointment for 12:30 pm. She had me bring the medications I'd received in Paris and was very thorough in her medical review. She speaks both Castellano (Spanish) and English, and told me that she works with many locals, as well. I'm very grateful for her service. She found that I was in fairly good condition except for the sore throat and prescribed an antibiotic along with a cough medicine, and also prescribed an inhaler for my asthma as an extra precaution. Her guidance was sound and she was a pleasure to speak with as a Patient. I would definitely recommend her to anybody in need of medical care.

Called quite late in the day and Dr McCarthy agreed to see me for an in-person consultation. Very happy with the level of care, attention, advice and friendly professionalism I received. Would recommend it to anyone seeking a doctor in Barcelona …

Called on a sunday afternoon and the doctor was able to fit me in within the hour - She was very kind and thorough, would definitely recommend her!!
