Gegeten bij Amon Nanesse voor een lunch menu. Eten was prima, met name de kroketten. Service daarentegen erg slecht. Dit hadden we niet verwacht op basis van de overige reviews. We hadden aangegeven als bestelling: 2 soorten kroketten en 1 portie luikse boulets (om te delen), wat voor een lunch meer dan genoeg is voor 2 personen. Vervolgens kregen we 2 porties boulets geserveerd. Toen we vroegen waarom we niet 1 portie kregen gaf ze aan dat dit helemaal niet kan. En dat is op zich prima, maar geef dit dan bij de bestelling zelf aan en niet door gewoon twee borden voor gasten neer te zetten. Er volgde een zeer onprettig gesprek. Het was geheel ons eigen probleem, aldus de bediening. We werden gedwongen om twee porties te betalen en er is nu onnodig eten verspild aangezien het inderdaad te veel voor ons was. Ons advies: ga in Luik eten bij een van de vele andere leuke eettentjes, waar men de gast wel centraal heeft staan, en sla dit restaurant over.

Unfortunately I can only give one star here, the restaurant in itself was cosy and the classic liegeois food "boulettes frites" was as good as others I have eaten my problem was with my drink. I asked for a panache ( half beer, half lemonade) I had a small glass the same size as my partner who had a beer, when we came to pay we saw were charged for a whole bottle of lemonade and a whole bottle of beer for my panache when we questionned this we were told it was normal because they had to open a bottle of each to make my drink! When I ordered my drink this wasn't explained to me and at no point was I offered the rest of my opened bottles! So we left the restaurant feeling conned and that's not a nice feeling. We visited in February this year ( I'm only just getting round to leaving reviews.)

This is a very important landmark in Liège. The building is old and offers you a trip back to the age of its construction. The deeper you walk in this establishment the more you feel travelling back in time. The music is generique but good. They serve a large choice of Peket, the authentic Liege's alcohol. But also, softs, beers, etc. And small restauration like burgers (too good but a bit small), croque monsieur, etc. A place not to be missed for sure.

Salade met kip besteld. Deze zag er in eerste instantie goed uit, maar de sla bleek warm en er bleek enorm veel saus in en onder de salade te zitten. Niet te eten, ik heb het geprobeerd. De keuken bleek net gesloten en ze konden niks voor me doen, behalve een beetje brood geven (te kort gebakken stokbrood...). Maar ja, dat helpt niet. Viel me tegen. De overige bestellingen waren wel goed, hamburger en Croque Monsieur.

Definitely a restaurant to recommend! Very attentive and personal attitude from everyone working there. It has the comfort and professionalism of a home-owned business (perhaps it is?). Food is fresh and definitely carefully sourced and prepared. Portions are big enough and the price totally matches the quality. A moderate waiting time is compensated by the constant serving of crunchy butter toast, so your table is never empty; make sure to leave some space for the actual meal though :) Hygiene and ambience are just as great! The variety of pekets is ok and you can feel that it is home-made. Prices are ok too for a 20cl glass of liquor filled with icecubes. The service isn't amazing though, you often have to wait an awful long time to be served and receive your drinks even when there is nobody... The place is kind of a maze and not always clean. I recommend this place to discover peket which is speciality in Liège, and an authentic location which has history, but there are better places to just have a drink.

Wij bestelden de Luikse specialiteit. Matig eten.Relatief duur gezien het gebodene.Ik snap waarom de luikse ballen geen exporthit zijn geworden ,tenminste als ze altijd zijn zoals deze! De gehaktballen van mijn vrouw zijn smakelijker. Toetje oneetbaar,iets met "chocolade" smaak en klopklop er naast ; niet opgegeten. Bediening redelijk,wel beetje op de automatische piloot. Waarom ze zo hoog scoren ik heb geen idee. Tegenvaller

Great locale, the place has a unique style and an impressive interior that invites you to bring friends and stay for more drinks. The food is great and proper for taking with all the different versions of the local drink Peket. There are so many flavors it will take you several days or a massive hangover to try them all. Will definitely come back, hopefully soon.

We had a 40th wedding anniversary there for around 28 people. The set menu was to perfection. In my own case the red mullet with the way they created the vegetables is one dish I would like to prepare at home. They did an excellent job of understanding and delivering some people’s special food requirements. The whole evening went splendidly followed by sampling various forms of peket in the bar next door.

Loved the Peket drinks served here. Peket is a local alcohol made in Liège, and here you can have peket with various fruits and flavor, peket shots with flame and the regular peket shots. Nice place to hangout with friends and enjoy an evening over a peket cocktail. The service is friendly and helpful, and most importantly if you are a foreigner, speaks good English!

Awfull waitress who thinks she can be rode to customers. Dirty tables and menu's. Even the menu was to simple so when cancelled our reservation after an encounter with that waitress behind the bar and we went to a very nice restaurant with good food and nice people. Du Peket is listed as the place to be on Google I will say listed as the place to stay away!!!

They have some typical dishes from the Liege gastronomy like the meatballs or the volauvent that are not bad. My favourite dish was the cheese with the liege sauce: the cheese is a little spicy and the sweet sauce matches perfectly. The building keeps a traditional atmosphere and it is comfy enough. Waiters are nice and well educated.

Ordered two times the boulets a la liegoise. Really good! Also the fries and salad were good and the homemade mayonnaise excellent. On top of that local beer, a nice table in the sun outside and good service, simply nothing to complain about.

Not that spacial. The meet was chewy, the wine was watery. I'm not that difficult about foot, but i didn't finisch the plate and two of my friends didn't either and not beqouse they were full.But the waiters were very kind. You can get a much better meal for 50,- euros than here.

A great apartment! It is beautifully decorated, fully equipped with a kitchen and a living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. All rooms are spacious. There is a flight of stairs to access the apartments, so anyone with physical difficulties should be aware of it (no lift).

A friend and I came for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered the salade Liègeoise and the vol au vents — both delicious. The staff were very warm and welcoming and considerate enough to explain the menu in English. Please come here for a unique food experience!

Maison du peket, one of the most famous bar in Liege. But it's not only a bar, they also have a nice restaurant. Don't miss this place for the traditional drink (peket) and traditional food of the city. Best deal is to get a bottle of peket to share with friends.

Wat een drama, na drank besteld en gekregen te hebben, komt een serveerster zeggen dat de keuken onze bestelling weigert. Nooit meegemaakt, drankjes laten staan en aangegeven dat we niks betaalden. Niet om terug te komen, wat een afknapper.

Nice bar, with very cosy ambiance. Taste their very large choice of pekets (a local alcohol): even though they have other, this is what they are renowned for, and for a long long time! You might also take a small bite, or a larger meal.

As expected they serve mainly peket. And it’s sooo good! We were surprised that, besides the alcohol ofcourse, the taste wasn’t chemical at all. The fruitflavours taste like fresh fruit. So come and try it :) …

Great restaurant to eat traditional drinks and dishes from Liège. You can pay with card. After having a good meal, I recommend that you continue to the bar next door and try traditional "peket". Welcome to Liege

Very large choice of pekets, a speciality from Liège. If you're staying in Liège, you have to get here and try some. The restaurant part is great too. You have to try the Boulet de Liège here !

We tried different flavors and they were all very tasty. We also tried the “flambé” peket and that was quite an experience (pic below). The venue itself is very cozy and rustic, nothing fancy.

Dit is een super gezellig restaurantje, de binnenkant is gezellig aangekleed. Het voedsel is zeer goed. De porties zijn meer dan goed, je zult geen honger hebben als je de tafel verlaat.

Good local food for a good price. Nice meatballs with some fries and side salad. A traditional meal in Liege. Had to wait more than 30 minutes in the afternoon.

Chaotisch, levensgevaarlijke trapje naar wc in de kelders. Achter tap bar was een glas drank gevallen en werd niet opgelost. Wel vriendelijke bediening.

Pékèt is de Waalse benaming voor jeneverbessen. Het betekent ook pikant. Traditiegetrouw maakt men er een gearomatiseerde brandewijn van.

De stoelen zijn half kapot en het is er erg duur. Er hangt ook niet echt een gezellige sfeer. Er zijn zeker beter bars in Luik.

Vriendelijk personeel, leuke uitstraling ruime plaatsen. Goed eten en waar voor je geld . Zeker een plaats om terug te komen.

Voor een Peket is het de moeite om eens binnen te springen. Vriendelijke bediening.

Weinig of geen parkeerplaats. Zeer smalle trap tot op 3de verdiep geen lift geen airco zeer jammer

Luikse ballen zijn hier super! lekkere frietjes en ook was de bediening uitstekend en vriendelijk.

Gezellig, leuke bediening en lekker eten. We gaan zeker nog terug 9m een drankje te proeven.
