I stopped here on way to Port Pirie to fill up a mini bus with diesel, I had an Ampol Cash voucher and it was scanned there with no trouble. Unfortunately when I got to Port Pirie to fill up the mini bus to return it full after hire, I filled up the vehicle, went in to use the voucher and there began the biggest problem, they wouldn't accept, so I had to find alternative means to pay for the fuel. What would have happened if I didn't have a back up? I mean I had an Ampol voucher, why didn't the Ampol Station accept it? I later enquired at another Ampol Station in Port Pirie, they too told me that they don't accept the Ampol voucher. This is very concerning for the motoring public as it could be their only means to pay for the fuel. This is an unacceptable situation because the fuel can't exactly be returned from the vehicle after filling up, what would happen to people that don't have an alternative? Come on Ampol, lift your game, you're Australian owned and can't even look after your customers with an Ampol Cash voucher.
Witnessed the most appalling behaviour and bullying by what seemed to be a senior female staff member towards another female staff member today 22/7/23. I didn't get their names but the bullying one was a red headed female with a tattoo on the right side of her neck. She wasn't very professional, loudly bullying and criticising the other girl from behind the counter, then she actually made a comment as she served me about the other staff member being worse than a teenager. I don't know what's happened to that place it used to be a great place to grab food on the way through, but I doubt if I'll be ever stopping there again.
Pricing is a little bit high. Their hots dog are very nice but it does depend on who is is making it we have had some bad ones, They have recently changed their chips and they are disgusting and don’t hold well in their warmer also they need to stop storing their gravy for long periods of time in the plastic container as it Changes the taste of the gravy they should just pour it in fresh. I hope they change their chips back to the old ones they had as we probably won’t came back if they remain the same (I know their is a potato shortage atm)
Awful woman with purple hair. Didn’t acknowledge people waiting. And when I said to her that the man next to us was trying to collect an uber eats order to deliver, her response was’ He can wait’ absolutely appalling. Meanwhile, there were two male employees doing seemingly nothing, mucking around with a sunglasses display at midnight. Do better. Bolivar used to be amazing. We walked out, disgusted. Going to Roseworthy instead. At least they appreciate their customers.
Great hot food, big range of sandwiches and friendly staff. Love the fresh fruit salad. My favourite is the Beef Kebab - tender chunks of steak with layers of onion and red capsicum. The takeaway food section inside is called the Big Grill with a wide variety of foods on offer. Wheelchair access ♿ and parking is available. Toilets are located inside the entrance to the left.
You know it's good food and prices with service to boot when truckies eat there, those who are bagging this place are Macca's appreciation squad. If ya don't like it, maybe don't turn up in a suit and expect silver service, this is a truckies and tradies type of service, you get back how you treat others.
Store, amenities & truckers diner are always clean & well kept, kitchen ladies always welcoming & helpful & food is generally good, but outside busy times...not so fresh from the hotbox & can be quite pricey compared with other places in the area.
A great roadhouse with all the comfort food you could ever ask for. 24 hours a day you can have some of the most delicious hot chips north of the city. There is also bait for those late night/last minute fishing trips. Outdoor seating available.
Did not fully realise this morning that I was substantially short changed at the takeaway counter by the male attendant until I was hours up the highway. My fault but ensure you fully check your cash change before you leave. Especially with
Called in a number of times to fill up trying to support local station, never felt friendly never got more than a thats x amount, food area looks great and plentiful last visit stood for 2 or 3 min before some one showed up to pay for fuel.
They do make excellent egg and bacon rolls amoung other food but the prices are ridiculous and very expensive nearly $10 for a egg and bacon roll and you can go to other foodary stores and they are only $5.00 they are taking advantage of
Food is way too expensive for just deep fried food. Always short staff meaning long waits. Went there the other day 2 people on check out and 1 poor lady serving, cooking and check out. Felt like giving her a hand. We just left.
Once saw a bloke whip his gentlemen's sausage out onto the counter after his card was declined like it was an alternative form of payment. Great food as far as servos go and always something genuinely hilarious happening
Visited this store twice now first time left waiting for better than 10 minutes while staff mopped floors rather than helping customers. Second time again left waiting for staff when they where good and ready to serve
Went there for the batted chips only to find out new management have bought cheap crapy boring chips. Would pay more for quality go back to what you had. Staff said lots have said the same thing very disappointing.
Breakfast - egg and bacon roll, takeaway sandwich for lunch. Coffee and drinks this place has the lot Apparently, they sell fuel too! It's a good one, go there
This place caters well for truck drivers, from energy drinks to quick hot meals and every snack in between. The place was clean and the service was friendly.
I had a brekkie burrito and my husband had a steak burger. They were both great. Always find the food to be good and the service to be fast and friendly
Great place for a Dagwood dog! (Dippy dog) the bacon and egg roll was ok, not the best but not the worst.
Food was not cooked right don't come here A cup of chip is only half fall not worth your money or time
Brilliant service and really good food. Staff went above and beyond to be kind
Not a bad place to stop and refresh as you travell out of Adelaide
