Took my ID and I sent an e-transfer Friday, heard nothing Monday so called and no call back. Ended up canceling e-transfer after nothing. Very bizarre interaction. Edit & Response It is not fake, I called your office and talked to both your secretary and you. It is for POA documents only, but you were going to charge me $500? Oh nope, $350, then just $150 for the documents. Which you didn't send nor did you or your secretary call me back. If you are representing the opposing party, then that needed to be said or checked because your secretary looked for any conflict of interest and said no, so we proceeded. You have my ID and asked for E-Transfer which you never accepted. Again, MY experience with you was bad regardless. Unprofessional. The LSO found a conflict of interest was infact true but nothing came of it but a warning. Waste of time to even try and get accountability as he was just able to say 'I did not do this/that' and it was brushed off. Still no answer as to why he behaved this way.

Over the course of two years Andrew has been tirelessly working with me on my matter in family court, and was able to setting outside of trial. Andrew was available when needed and even over the weekends to make sure everything was completed. Without getting into to much details Andrew was great at responding to the other person involved in my family court case and also ignoring when emails that would come his way that weren’t relevant to the current matter. Andrew was fair and extremely reasonable when it came to billing. In short Andrew is down to earth, able to work with me through tears and anger, and looking back on my case as a whole, he never steered me wrong. I would recommend Andrew hands down.

Don't usually do this but if you are looking for a family lawyer DO NOT call Andrew Bala, called him explained my case he was oh yes I can do this except my legal aid certificate didn't even start a case for me had me do his running then when I noticed Hilary Warrer on his door I ask if there is a conflict because she is the worse child's lawyer and would highly recommend that she not be part of your case he tells me no but still does not work on my case other than refuse to except letters doctors have written for me but tells legal aid I have no case and should not have a certificate. WOW thpught the roll of a family lawyer was to help NOT ANDREW BALA

Wow, he got censured by the Law Society of Ontario. It is shocking that this guy even has a license to practice law! He got caught falsely listing himself as being experienced with human rights law and got caught. He dared to tell us that our child protection matter was a class action lawsuit. Outrageous. The Law Society admonished him for the way he treated our volunteer group and for breach of confidentiality. He has a problem with integrity. He also better not keep trying to have our group's reviews deleted any more or we will make sure they go a lot more public than this.

This So called lawyer took my retainer fee, said he would take our case only to say two day's he was only acting as a outside advisor and wouldn't put his name on the court docket, we asked for our retainer back, he gave us back less than half the money, he was arrogant and conceded, and inexperienced, the paper work he did was denied by the judge because he filled out the paper work wrong. Please do not use this so called family lawyer. Upper Canada Law Society should have disbarred him a long time ago!

Many mistakes made in a simple, uncontested separation and divorce. Also asked for more money than originally quoted. Only gave him extra star because the divorce was delayed and he did push for expediency at the end.
