After my dad passed away in the VA (Veterans Affairs) Hospital, the VA referred me to Angeleno Mortuary as a mortuary that frequently works with the VA. Choosing Angeleno Mortuary was the best decision I could have made during a very stressful and emotional time, because they handled everything smoothly, efficiently, and with great empathy and compassion. Giovanni Ayala (“Gio”) took my initial phone call, and he became the most helpful and amazing “point person” throughout the entire process of my dad’s cremation and burial. I sat down with Gio for a first meeting to talk through the entire process and procedure (so that I’d know what to expect), what my options were, and what my dad wanted in terms of arrangements. Gio’s compassion and empathy were evident from this first meeting — he was extremely kind, thoughtful, understanding, and patient as he talked me through a process that I knew nothing about, having never gone through this before. After our first meeting, Gio handled literally every part of the rest of the process: he arranged the transportation of my dad from the hospital to the mortuary and then to the crematory (and then the transportation of the ashes back to the mortuary), he filed for the death certificates, he worked with the National Cemetery to schedule a date and time for the burial service (with military honors), he helped with logistics for my dad’s plaque inscription at the columbarium, he arranged for me to receive the national flag at the service, he confirmed that Navy officers would be at the burial service to perform military honors…and probably many other things that I’m either forgetting, or that Gio handled behind the scenes and I never had to be aware of. I wanted to list all of these out, because it shows how many moving parts there are when you’re arranging for someone’s burial. I could never have gotten all of this done without Gio’s help every step of the way. Gio kept me regularly updated, was extremely responsive to calls and e-mails, and he was clearly excellent at navigating the bureaucratic system of the military and the VA to handle burial arrangements for a veteran. He took away the need to stress about any details at all. I can’t recommend Angeleno Mortuary, and Gio Ayala specifically, highly enough. Thank you for making at least this part of the death and grieving process easy.

From the first contact, Angeleno Mortuary treated our family professionally, with care and kindness. America was an excellent representative who guided us through every step of the process; her capable and compassionate nature were evident throughout our interactions. They provided the free, informative, and valuable after care services, which helped with tasks we needed to complete, bereavement support, and other related services. Our after care coordination meeting Kathy was particularly helpful. The online individual and group bereavement support through Ever After is also helpful, though my FIL had some difficulty managing the online platform. It is definitely worth the effort to try it. We will definitely turn to Angeleno Mortuary for our funerary needs in the future. Highly recommend

I wanted to write a review for this mortuary service because they did a great job from start to finish. The staff was helpful and compassionate, and they made the entire process as easy as possible for my family. We had a graveside burial, and the service was beautiful. The staff took care of everything, and we didn't have to worry about anything. They even followed up with us after the funeral to make sure we were doing okay. I would highly recommend this mortuary service to anyone in need. They are a caring and professional group of people, and they will go above and beyond to help you during this difficult time

I was and still am very pleased with Angeleno Mortuary. I highly reccomend them! Paul is amazing!!! He made the time of grieve for my family & I a much more peaceful process. We were very happy with how everything ran so smoothly thanks to him, any question we had he was always there with a quick response. The staff was also amazing when it came time to funeral day, very attentive and helpful. The mortuary is very clean and spacey. I had the worst experience of my life at this mortuary. The staff is VERY unprofessional and unexperienced in dealing with grieving families. BEWARE, they need training on helping families during difficult times instead of making things worse for families who are grieving. My grandma is not being honored the way she should. Kat, our funeral arranger yelled at me, and talked to me like I was a two year old and I have the whole interaction on video. I hope they make changes so no other family has to go through what we went through. :(

First off I'd like to personally thank Rigo for helping us with all the arrangements & providing excellent services to the family with our loss. Not only was he respectful & professional, but he was very understanding to our needs and went above and beyond to inform and collect everything needed for the services of the 3 deceased family members on 4/15/20. Upon my mom's passing we had her taken to Angeleno's for everything final to be done. America was so kind and thoughtful. I had know idea that they offer an after care service called full -circle care that will help take care of everything in regards to closing credit cards, stopping unwanted mail and making sure there is protection against any fraudulent activity taking place. Kathy Mills has been such a great help getting everything tied up and also offers caring support. Thank you again

If you ever find yourself in a situation where a loved one has suddenly passed and you're trying to figure out what mortuary to call, please don't hesitate to call Angeleno Mortuary. Gio, our arranger, was very thorough and explained everything when we met him. He never tried to push any sales on us which we greatly appreciated. He was extremely attentive. Anytime we called/emailed he always answered us promptly. Our needs were met and we're grateful we chose this mortuary.

I do not recommend this place to no one it’s so sad that my father in law has been there for 3 weeks and until now they decide to call us about signing more papers.. this people aren’t unprofessional they take your money and talk you rude the service was horrible didn’t make us feel any comfort I don’t know how this people have a job working like this… kat u need more training you don’t return calls or emails it’s sad that we had to go threw this

Horrible customer service. The staff made grieving my grandmother worse than it was. The funeral arranger tricked me into sending my grandmother to them thinking they would take care of her. I was legally allowed to sign as next of kin to get her to them, then they refused to work with anyone but a son who was not responding. I am heartbroken my grandma won’t be honored in the way she deserves. I definitely would never use them again.

Not finished yet, but so far Angeleno has been first class. Very helpful in taking care of finalizing my mother's affairs and providing final disposition of her remains. I live out of state, so their help has been particularly appreciated. I recommend strongly recommend Angeleno.

Angeleno Mortuary is the absolute very best of the best. Gio Ayala walked us through every aspect of the process and was there every step of the way. You can't get more personal and professional then Gio. We are so grateful we found Gio and Angeleo Mortuary.
